Hello there and happy Saturday!  So glad it's the weekend here...time for some baseball.  :-)

Just popping in to wrap up the June Papertrey Ink release.  I have five more projects that I haven't shared on my blog yet, so sit back and take a peek.  

First up is a card that combines a few new sets, Bigger Blooms and Live Love Life.  The flowers are, of course, from Bigger Blooms.  The cute chevron accent in the background is from Live Love Life.  

The sentiment is also from Bigger Blooms.  I used the Cover Plate: Chevron die with my embossing mats to emboss instead of cut.

Up next is a cute little birthday number using Polka Dot Parade #5.  I paired it with the previously released set Bitty Bird Additions.

I love all of the little elements in the Polka Dot Parade sets.  This one has cute notes, the small flower I used in the background, and all of the sentiment pieces are seperate, making it easy to stamp them in multiple ink colors.

Next is a card using Live Love Life.  This is going to be one of those sets that is super fun to play with.  I used the chevron line image to create a unique pattern.  

I found that if I stamped in various ink colors and overlapped the stamping, some neat color variations happened.  Notice how I lined them up so that the lines of the next ink color fell between the lines of the previous image.  Pretty fun.  The sentiment and arrow are also from Live Love Life.

Next up is a card using Dawn's new Boutique Borders: Thanks set.  I had my Seed Packet Frame 2 die out from my vegetable project and noticed that it makes a pretty frame when combined with the Mega Mat Stack 4 die.  It also worked perfectly for stamping the pretty frame from Boutique Borders: Thanks.  The flourish fits perfectly with the shape of the Mega Mat Stack 4.

I filled the frame with lots of pretty flowers from Cuttting Garden.  The sentiment is of course from Boutique Borders: Thanks.

Last but not least, a fun card using the new Teacher Tickets set.  I diecut the pinked edge circle using the Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" circle die, then diecut the Just the Ticket border from it.  I then cut a strip of tickets from Rustic White cardstock and pieced them together.

The ticket frame stamp as well as the Way 2 Go sentiment and the A+ circle and "super" star are all from Teacher Tickets as well.  The arrows are from Sketched Shapes.  The patterned paper in the background pulls your eye straight to the fun focal point.  It's from Carta Bella's Boardwalk collection.

Welcome to group post day #2 for the June Papertrey Ink countdown.  Today the team is showcasing a new set for the month of June called Round Repeats.  This set comes with elements that when stamped repeatedly, create gorgeous medallions.  But they can also be used in lots of other ways as well!  Round Repeats will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website on June 15th, 2013 at 10pm eastern time.  

My first project shows how you can use the elements in Round Repeats along with the Lovely Layers die to create beautiful flowers/medallions.  

I cut the Lovely Layers die from vellum and heat embossed various images from Round Repeats with white embossing powder.  Then I sponged ink onto the back of the vellum diecuts to create softly colored petals.  I layered them up and secured them with a brad in the centers.

The card front was created by layering the new Cover Plate: Chevron Vertical die layered over a piece of Clearly Creative Cardstock.  The card back is made from Aqua Mist cardstock.

The vellum flowers and clear card front give the whole card a light and airy feel.

Next I have a card that uses Round Repeats in a completely different way.  When stamped individually, the elements in Round Repeats make great frames and dividers.  Here I used one of the elements to create borders around my sentiment.  The sentiment is from Thanks All Ways and it's stamped onto a Mat Stack 6 diecut.

I used that same Round Repeats element and stamped it repeatedly in the corners of the Aqua Mist panel in the background for an easy and elegant corner treatment.  The brads were also stamped with a small element from Round Repeats and heat embossed with white powder.

Welcome to the first group post of the June 2013 Papertrey Ink countdown.  In case you're not familiar with group posts, it's a day that all of the Papertrey Ink team members create projects using one (or more) of the new sets being released this month.  Today we are featuring a new set called Vegetable Garden.  If you're familiar with the Garden Variety or Garden Variety II sets, this is a vegetable addition to those great classic floral/seed packet sets.  This set is designed by Nichole and contains several beautiful vegetable images.  It will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website on June 15th at 10pm eastern time.  

Nichole challenged each of us to create two projects, one project using one of the seed packet dies, and a second project that combines Vegetable Garden with an older set. First up, let me show you my card using Vegetable Garden along with one of the seed packet images.  

I used the seed packet from Garden Variety II along with the radishes from Garden Variety.  I love radishes...they scream summer to me, both their color and flavor.  I remember my mom growing them in our garden and loving their spicey-ness.  Now I'm the only one in our house that likes them, so once in a while when our neighbors bring some from their garden I get them all to myself.  :-) 

I inked the radishes with two ink colors - Pure Poppy and Scarlet Jewel for the redish one and Raspberry Fizz with Plum Pudding for the pinkish one.  I even added a bit of Rustic Cream twine to the tips of the radishes to mimic their roots.

Up next is my project that combines Vegetable Garden with a previously released set.  I chose to combine it with Comfort Food for a fun get well card.  What's better when you're sick than some hot vegetable soup?

I used the large frame die from Fabulous Frams as the base for my foody concoction.  The paper behind it is from Jillibean Soup's Fresh Vegetable Soup collection and it's perfect for this new set!  The sentiment is from Think Big Favorites #22.
