Since the social networking sites are hot at the moment, Samsung recently has come out another entry-level phone that is dedicated in messaging capability – the Samsung S3100. It is available in two colors the black and the pink. Samsung S3100 is a slider 2G phone. This Samsung mobile phone includes 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, phone book, organizer, microSD card, USB, FM-radio and Music player.

Features:

The Good:

With the very sensible sized keys and a 4 way circular controller it is very easy to use. At this phone you can use your own message alert tone (which was not present in earlier versions) and also you can install your own java games). The battery life is also quite good and it uses a SDHC card as well. The other features in the phone are basic one. You will get a 1.3 Megapixel camera on the back that can capture up to 1280 x 1024 pixels resolution of image. For music, Samsung S3100 does offer a built in MP3 player and FM radio for you to listen to the music. The quality is mediocre, nothing much to say. And for video playback, there is a video player that able to play MP4/H.263/H.264 format file.

The design is quite attractive because of its sleek and stylish nature. The front has the 2.1 inches TFT screen that shows 256,000 colors with the revolution of 176 x 220 pixels. One of the unique features is its BT Messenger which enables free instant messaging with other Samsung BT-enabled phones. Other than that there is a Shortcut Toolbar which lets you customize up to 15 shortcuts on the idle menu for easy access to your favorite applications.

The Bad:

The bad thing about this mobile is that except for the new messenger and the design it has no exciting new feature which makes it unique among all the other handsets of this type.

Performance:

The performance of this new handset is quite good. The voice quality is loud and pretty much clear. The internal memory is not up to the mark and the video display is also blurring. With the 1.3 Mp camera the picture quality is not so good and the ability to zoom is just normal. In other words we can say that the performance of this new handset is normal and you can’t expect something very fantastic in it as many others cameras with such features are available in the market.

Best Mobile Phones

The mobile phone industry is one of the very major industries among the electronic media. As the usage of mobile phones is increasing so is the technology increases and now the mobile phones open a new world in front of you. This technology has increased to such an extent that its not just for making calls it is for internet browsing, connecting to your loved ones online, taking photographs, listening to audio and many others. Below are the top 5 mobiles of the world the rankings of which are increasing day by day.

1. HTC Hero

The gadget award holder of this year The HTC Hero is just a magical mobile expressing all its features in a magical way. It is not just a mobile it’s your guide when you feel lost, it’s your messenger connecting you to your loved ones, your browser keep you connected to the whole world, and your play station and many more. Even from the earliest days of leaked hardware shots and blurry demo videos of its UI, Smartphone fans seemed to agree that the company had finally achieved what has been missing in the world of Android. The main quality of it is the Google OS which open a whole new world of connectivity in front of you.

2. BlackBerry Storm 2

As the name suggests it is really a storm, a storm of facilities, a storm of good features and what nor. It could be better called a disaster of this century. Like its predecessor, the BlackBerry Storm 2 will feature a touch screen.

Unlike the BlackBerry Storm, though, the Storm 2’s SurePress “clickable” display doesn’t actually move (except for around corners). Instead, the display provides an electronic feedback that mimics the feeling of a click. It also features multi-touch support, allowing users to click two keys (like shift plus a letter) on the virtual keyboard at the same time. Like all BlackBerry products, the Storm 2 has excellent messaging and e-mail capabilities. You get BlackBerry Enterprise Server support for your work e-mail, and you can load up to ten work or personal POP3 or IMAP accounts.

3. HTC HD2

Like the HTC hero the HTC HD2 is also a disaster in itself. It is the first windows phone to embody HTC Sense – a holistic experience that focuses on making phones work in the most intuitive way. Its huge display gives you the sense of a canvas on which you can do whatever you want. It gives the fast fastest way of interaction through its email, SMS, phone logs, and even updates from Facebook are all in one place. Some design features of HTC HD2 are far better experienced than can be explained in mere words. Like the ringer volume level that immediately scales down when the phone detects that you have picked it up, or the display that automatically adjusts to the light level in your surroundings and turns off to prevent false screen touches during a call.

4. Samsung i8910 HD

Like the HTC this mobile is also included in the race of android phones with the size comparatively larger than the other handsets. But Samsung knows what it’s doing when making a mobile phone, and if this much technology has been packed into a 123 x 59 x 12.9 mm chassis, and then it’s probably going to be pretty darn good. The screen is simply to die for, as anyone that’s seen an OLED display in action can attest. Deep blacks, rich colors and pin sharp resolution really make every frame from this phone stand out, and it’s very easy just to spend time showing your friends just how beautiful your new handset’ screen is.

5. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

Nokia might be late comer to the touch screen war yet the new mobiles by Nokia have filled the gap. This phone is basically coming up with the new audio features which are differentiating it from the other phones. It feels lightweight and the screen is noticeably smaller than other touchscreen offerings, but it doesn’t feel too tiny for a touchscreen, although it’s probably on the edge of what’s acceptable.

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic feels nice in the hand, although a little plasticky. However, that’s offset by a decent weight, and a fairly well put together chassis. Put it this way – if you got this out at the pub most people wouldn’t think you had paid so little for a brand new phone.

Performance:

Samsung is pretty consistent in launching smart phones in the mobile market. The new Samsung Omnia Pro is also one such mobile with extraordinary features, a stylish body, latest windows Phones OS, your mobile business partner, your connector to the loved ones and others. It contains the documents compatible MS office and the full time internet availability keeps you connected to your office and home altogether. The bright interface display is another good feature.

The B7330 helps keep you connected to the world. Whether it’s through fast internet access, checking and updating social networking sites, or just keeping in touch with friends and business associates, this mobile is the great connector. The new Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 is a high speed 3G (HSDPA) equipped phone along with WiFi, GPS, 3.2MP camera, and a microSD card slot. It is a business phone with good connectivity features and a QWERTY keypad.

It lacks:

One bad feature of the browser is that it lacks flash support which makes many important websites inactive. Also some people seem to be unhappy with the keyboard ease of use because of its very small size. Windows Mobile makes it sluggish as well and battery life is also quite bad.

Features:

Samsung B7330 Omnia Pro makes one actually wonder how a small mobile phone can have so many outstanding features. The Smartphone gives not only a very elegant look but also offers features that are rich and worthy to have.

The Omnia Pro B7330 features slight improvements in the design of its predecessor phone, but mostly maintains the classical BlackBerry-like structure that gave the Smartphone its sophisticated and corporate appearance. The Omnia B7330 is a bit short in length than the earlier models, and also features a bigger screen size, which would be a 2.62 inch TFT as compared to the earlier 2.4 inch TFT.

It has also acquired the increased performance in network connectivity support as the support for HSUPA network protocol has been introduced in the Omnia Pro B7330. The internal memory of this new model is 270MB which is also better than the earlier ones other than that the fast emailing feature is also remarkable. The Phone is also expected to provide the better multimedia experience but this thing sometimes goes in a doubt as the audio jack is also missing in this model. The feature of integrating with social networking sites has made the user able to always get connected to his personal as well as professional life.

The choices and preferences of peoples are changing everyday; they are spending more time on computer than before. For this new changing time Samsung is striving to provide more and more ease and comfort to their customers.

After months of news and teaser shots Dell have finally launched a revolutionary slim laptop Adamo XPS with is 9.99mm thin and 720p widescreen display. According to some experts holding this laptop is just like holding an aluminum sheet curved in a laptop’s shape.

It is very easy to carry and very comfortable to use. When fully opened, the keyboard sits at almost 20-degree angle. It’s an unusual setup, but one that provides a more ergonomic typing experience than the average flat laptop keyboard. At $1,799, the price isn’t as bad as originally thought, but it’s still far from great if performance takes any precedence for you over style.

With a 128GB solid-state drive and a 1.4GHz Intel ULV processor, we have high hopes for the system’s battery life, which Dell claims is up to 2.5 hours with the default battery and a bit more than 5 hours with an optional extended battery (which we haven’t seen in person yet.)

So this could be easily called a revolution by Dell which has left all the laptops in its weight and design. The plus point is also its performance which is claimed to better than before.

Sony Ericsson has finally launched its satio, a phone with huge multimedia support, touch screen facility and many others. The technology is quite new with some extra ordinary features. Sony Ericsson is always striving for performance and ease regarding the use of its cellular phones. From the past many years it is bringing the new launches into the mobile market and each one better and different from the other. The sleek body with fantastic features of the satio will definitely attract the fun lovers. Get music, movies, games, apps, ringtones, themes and endless fun for your phone and PC at PlayNow arena.

The main attractive feature of this phone is its light weight and smart style with the razor-sharp 3.5″, 16:9 ratio wide screens. Its touch screen is very well positioned and most of the functions are in the thumb’s reach.
Now coming to the main feature, 12-megapixel camera with its very fast shutter capturing a moving object is not a big deal. The focusing and the face detection mode are remarkably nice and you can even focus by tapping the screen. Skin tones are excellent, displaying tonal changes accurately and the Xenon flash works well too, easily illuminating indoor shots. However, indoors image noise creeps in, even when the sensitivity is as low as ISO 200. This Picture quality is the main reason for this mobile’s success. It’s a real crowd-pleasing feature and no doubt plenty of people will buy it purely on that basis.

There are some problems with this new generation mobile as well. The first and for most is its low internal memory storage and that is only 128mb storage but its 8GB SD card is also available. But this minute problem can’t make people oversee the plethora of advantages.

The most noticeable other feature is the Sony Satio’s compatibility with ‘Play Now’, a new online interface that allows users to personalize their Satio’s entertainment facilities. Anyone familiar with iTunes will no doubt notice Play Now’s uncanny resemblance. The interface within the Satio is simply stunning and Sony Ericsson has incorporated some fantastic visuals. Connectivity when using the Satio is made easy enough with the inclusion of built-in WiFi while Bluetooth facilities and a USB port makes sharing as easy as ever. It’s connectivity to the internet is also remarkable. Another exciting feature is its direct link with youtube and BBC itunes which helps in fast video sharing over the internet across the whole world.

It could be better said that anyone who wants his mobile to perform tasks better than the conventional digital cameras should buy new Sony Ericson satio for sharp capturing of photos and videos. The scenes which were kept unrecorded due to bad light will now be best recorded due to the Xenon flash. It is not just a phone it’s a full camcorder with having a very light weight and sleek and stylish outlook.

satio

The Motorola Droid’s launch in US with O2 network is a very a big hit but some news media has revealed that in UK the Droid won’t be launching on mobile networks O2 or T-Mobile. Apparently, T-Mobile UK tested the Droid about six months ago; Nicola Shenton, the operator’s Head of Handset and Device Marketing, confirmed that they chose not to carry it.

The exact reason for this is unknown, but it may have something to do with the fact that T-Mo already sells three Android phones in the UK: G1, Hero and Pulse. So after this news the whole UK’s mobile market and the consumers are waiting for the new company which will accept this milestone. Now the eyes are on Orange, Vodafone or 3 Mobile to bring this superb Android Phone to UK’s market.

Orange has showed up its intrest in the android phones by saying that they had “at least three new market-leading devices to be unveiled by the end of the year”. Until now they’ve announced the Motorola DEXT, HTC Hero and iPhone, but the droid lovers are still hoping that this company is going to launch Motorola Droid as well. So keep your fingers crossed and just wait and watch.

Nearly half the states have passed and strictly enforce restrictions on wireless phone use while driving. Given that cell phone users are 17 times more vulnerable to accidents than drunk drivers, the restrictions make a great deal of sense. Therefore, any commuter-friendly iPhone Application comes with a proper caution: Do not use this app while operating your vehicle. Work it to the limit while you idle in front of the convenience store sipping your morning brew, or let the guy in the shotgun seat work the phone while you work the gears.

Just as importantly, every roadworthy freeway guerrilla already has installed the essentials in his or her vehicle and therefore need not resort to the iPhone except in extreme emergency. In case of emergency, the aforementioned road warrior will pull off the road to a secure destination, coming to a full and complete stop before applying his or her thumb to the app. Your thumbing may vary.

You probably already have a real-time navigation system, showing you both traffic and alternative routes around delays. You have a radio to deliver your news, weather, and stock market reports every ten minutes. And you have the guy in the backseat working on his laptop, ready to fill-in details as needed.

So what remains for iPhone? Read a few strong recommendations from the grizzled, road weary driver beside you, like you stuck in the gridlock and trying to cope…

5. Carpool Apps—Although its developers have not completely de-bugged it, “Avego” scores major points for cleverly reinventing the ridesharing board with the benefit of modern technology. Find out who drives toward your destination at what time and for what gas-sharing consideration; then, send a message indicating your interest, and begin arranging your carpool. Users can evaluate their passengers with “feedback scores,” comparable with eBay, and passengers, of course, can reciprocate. The application also has valuable information about life in the HOV lane—carpool life expectancies, etiquette for passengers and drivers, and a wealth of fun facts.

4. Navigation Systems—If you didn’t give-in to the dealer’s pressure and get the in-car TomTom, your self-control now earns its just reward. TomTom for iPhone outperforms the old standard, and it comes with a car-mount system that makes your iPhone screen more legible and your touchpad more accessible, substantially reducing your distraction and risk. Many reviewers accord even higher praise to Goggle Maps for iPhone; one even called it “the best iPhone app, period.” Maybe a little hyperbole, but Goggle Maps helps the reviewer make his case, showing traffic conditions in real time, and tracing your routes in red, yellow, and green lines according to traffic volume and speed. Goggle Maps for iPhone also delivers accurate estimates of travel times, and shows you options for parking your car and hopping onto mass transit. TomTom is legible and reliable. Google Maps knows the shortcuts.

3. Fuel-friendly Apps—Formerly called “MPG,” AccuFuel monitors, calculates, and compares your fuel efficiency, producing amazingly cool graphs to help you keep track of your mileage. Only the developers clearly can explain how it finds and interprets all the data, but regular users say it never lies. Regular users also somewhat grudgingly confess the fuel efficiency monitor has improved their higher-mileage driving skills, prompting them to slow down when mpg’s drop, and even inspiring them to turn off the air conditioning when it obviously has become a very pricey luxury. Download AccuFuel, the best among several choices, for 99¢.

Just as importantly, “Where” helps you find the least expensive gas at the stations nearest your current location. A global positioning system coordinates with “GasBuddy,” showing you where you can fill-up and how much you will pay. Big-time road warriors, who spend more time in the cars than in the office, prefer “GasBag”. It performs all the same functions as “Where,” albeit in very different style, and it includes a feature for logging expenses. Both fuel finders prove extremely useful when the fuel light has flashed in your face for miles.

2. Public Transit Apps—Although Californians and other intrepid pioneers in the wild west regard the whole idea as strange, some cities have mass transit systems on which commuters can depend everyday. For the railway set, ace apponistos heartily recommend “iTransit Buddy.” You, the rail commuter, type in your point of departure and your destination; iTransit Buddy shows schedules for all the public transit systems from which you might choose. With one more agile thumb-touch, you can e-mail your schedule to your office, the people on your appointment calendar, or anyone who really needs to know. Although iTransit Buddy seems pretty spendy by comparison with some of its rivals, lots of extra information justifies the extra dollar—lots more cities with lots more details about lots more options.
New York commuters have a rail service app all their own—iTransNYC. User-friendly and reliable, iTransNYC naturally includes schedules, and it offers detailed walking instructions to your nearest station; it also gives route planning information even baffled tourists can understand.

1. Slacker Mobile Radio—Tune out the information, admitting that it adds to your stress without really increasing your convenience. Capitalize on the value built into your iPhone: it plays music at least as well as an iPod and better than almost any other MP3 player. Tune in to Slacker Mobile Radio—absolutely free—and create your own ‘station” featuring your favorite artists; Slacker will enrich your listening with bands it recommends based on your selections, and if you are riding in the passenger seat, Slacker will show you valuable information about its new artists and their discs.
