Pleeeze, shortchanging the gamer again.I would much rather have the whole content on the disc instead of a future DLC especially from a game of such a high caliber.

This should be good. The motion controls for Tiger Woods on the Wii weren't perfect but they were probably the most fun my family ever had on the Wii. I'm not even a fan of golf, but no doubt my dad will be getting this even if I don't.

Brilliant review!! This is such a great little game to play. If you have a family, like me. I recommend that you get it. It's a fun game for all!
It's also so nice to be able to play as Ryo from Shenmue, it brings back some great memories.

I still don't know what to make of this title. I love the Sands of Time trilogy, but I'm not sure it really needs another installment, plus the fact that it has the film release as a deadline just gives me a bad feeling about it. I'm certainly keeping my eye on it, and the gameplay so far looks good, though I'm not yet sold on the story.

If it's just the case that it was cut for time, and making it available later added to the overall experience rather than detracting from it, then for the right price I think it would be welcomed.

I think EA are doing alright - almost every online-focussed game ever released tends to struggle at launch. My theory is that the number of people that play it on the first two days is far in excess of the long-term peaks - so it doesn't make any sense to spend tends of thousands of dollars (or more) on server infrastructure that's used for two days then collects dust. Or it could just be they were genuinely surprised, but almost every dev says that when almost every online-only game gets overwhelmed at launch!

Only if it's good - the most polished products involve a lot of cutting, and when you hear people asking for all the cut stuff back as DLC I'm not sure if they understand this. If you include all the stuff on the cutting-room floor back into a movie, it generally makes it worse, not better, and was cut for a reason, and the same goes for a game. The only way to get the best of the best is to try a few things and cut the ones that don't work, or aren't up to snuff.

I don't reckon Sony Santa Monica would release anything that's poorly done though, so in this case we should be nice and safe :).

Seems tough at first, fun to play, but very confusing about where you really are with respect to where you can go and should go. Being forced to play Jill the first time through lets you curse readily and blame everything on her. Sorry Sheva is way more appealing to me. It took forever to readapt to those Resident Evil controls and movements even though its only been a week or two since the Nightmares.

I can't say I agree with this: "the power that games can have on people". If they are indeed emotionally unstable then they sought out games as their form of counseling.

They made the decision to ignore their real child and bury reality in an internet cafe. Doesn't matter what they were doing in that cafe, but only that they weren't doing their duties as parents.

Again, video games have nothing to do with this tragedy other than being wrongly accused for what was unforgivable parenting.

For me, the big question is do video games have a relatively different impact on a child's development at different stages of childhood - there's no doubt that for adults, whose brains are much more 'fixed' (they still change, but much less so than children), video games aren't likely to turn us into Assassin's running from rooftop to rooftop (or, after 8 million + Assassin Creed I and II sales, I don't think any of us would be safe!)

However, is there a possibility that the relative impact of games on a child's mind at certain ages can have unintended consequences that as adults we don't understand, as it doesn't affect us in that way? Sorry to just put the question out there and not have an answer, but I don't have a research team and/or grant ;).

Aye, this is one of those games that could be great, or really mediocre (thank Dark Void), so will wait out on this one to hear how it plays. Platinum games have got some serious talent, but this isn't a genre they have a lot of experience in. Good luck to them though, more good games is good, even if I don't have time to play 'em all!

Feel pretty sick that I didn't pick this up. But I just really love buying games in the shops on release day, and the only shop within walking distance is a supermarket that only carries standard editions.

Have since got the soundtrack, though, which is brilliant.

Will I be getting it?
Isn't it a bit to early to say?
We need some real in-game footage.
Not a GI-JOE / Iron Man mutation.
What we've seen looks like people were thinking of a straight to DVD movie but threw some money at a game.

I suppose with the gaming and movie technology converging so much it was bound to happen
