Name: Nick Jerkovich
Day: 1
Goal: < 12% Body Fat
Current Weight: 180 LBS
Weight Lost:
Mood: Excited for results

When they tell you to pace yourself in the beginning, they aren’t kidding! I made it about 25 minutes in, threw up and my arms weigh a million pounds. Wow.

I can barely move my arms to write this blog but it’s a good feeling. I’ve been putting this p90x program off for quite some time and I finally started today. I don’t think I would have the motivation to do this on my own and that is why I have a great group of friends that are completing the program with me.Chris and his wife Chelsea will be doing the P90x workouts with me. While Krystal will be doing the Insanity challenge with her neighbor.

One of the great things about these home training programs are the ability to train with others without being in the same room. You don’t need to be in a gym, you don’t have to have too many pieces of equipment and you get to do it all in the privacy of your own home. I wouldn’t want a whole bunch of people seeing how pathetic that first workout was, but I’m sure its that way for the majority of the people that start this program. The most important part of this training program is completing it. I’m looking for ideas, comments or anything that could help me reach this goal.

I currently weigh 180 lbs. I don’t wan’t to lose much weight but I want to get to under 12% body fat. I feel like this is a great program for me to build lean mass and get stronger while maintaining a healthy weight.

During my workout i’ll be wearing my Jawbone UP fitness tracker. This will give me an accurate caloric burn over the course of the program and will give you a good idea on just how tough this workouts can be. Take note, I won’t be going all out in the first couple weeks because as I learned today, I need to pace myself and work on completing each individual workout.

All in all, I’m glad I finally started the program. I’m super excited to stick with it and see what kind of results I’m capable of. Stay tuned for more updates, pictures, and videos!

Name: Krystal Mcvay
Day: 1
Goal: 150 LBS
Current Weight: 212 LBS
Weight Lost:
Mood: Feeling optimistic!

As you all know, my name is Krystal. My husband and I met while deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. Â I was about 133 lbs soaking yet, with a nice six pack and butt! He was about 190 ish… We worked out together or individually every chance we could while deployed. Working out was part of our lifestyle. Â I got really into running and pushing myself, and was extremely happy with my weight and confident in my body. When we got home and settled, I got pregnant and that’s where my health took a turn for the worst.

I had this HUGE misconception that while I was pregnant I could eat whatever I wanted. Since I was going to be gaining weight anyway… why not??? So I did just that. I ate EVERYTHING! Â The next thing I know, I am 210 lbs. I was massive pregnant!!! Once I gave birth, I was nursing so I got down to about 175 lbs.

All these pressures of being a new mom, living in a military town, and all my friends leaving  caused me to slip into this depression that I just couldn’t get out of. I ended up gaining all of that weight back, and I am now up to 212 lbs. My blood pressure is at about 165/90. My stomach, once a nice flat stack of abs, is just this nasty piece of flab hanging. Not to mention my hormones are out of whack which causes these crazy mood swings.

I have never battled with weight gain, or loss for that matter. I mean I have gotten chunky and gained 10 lbs before but that was nothing for me to lose…. I was a Marine for 7 years. I know how to exercise and take care of myself. So whats the difference now? Its so embarrassing, I dont even want anyone to know that I am a Veteran.

Anyway, the day I put on a pair of size 20 pants I KNEW I needed to change. Just a year and a half ago I was wearing a size 8… WHAT HAPPENED?

This, ladies and gents, is where I start changing my life for the better. My Neighbor and I decided to start Insanity. Since we both have babies we figured we could do it at home, not pay for a gym and have our babies with us! She literally lives next door!

My goal is to get down to at least 150 lbs by next fall, so I can fit into a wedding dress and have the wedding I’ve always wanted.

As always, I love to get comments or tips that may help me in my journey. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or just want to say hi. I’m always checking my comments and will reply asap. Thanks for reading and don’t forget to share below and like above!

The post My insanity journey begins: Day 1 first appeared on P90x Reviews.

Before I begin, if you want to check out Bryan’s P90x Results just CLICK HERE, otherwise keep reading for my review.

First lets start with the basics, P90X is a 90 day at home fitness routine. It uses what Tony Horton has coined as “muscle confusion” to prevent hitting a plateau in your training. P90x combines cardio, strength training, core training, and flexibility into its workouts.  The program has three “rotations”—classic, lean, and doubles, we did the classic so this review will be focusing on that rotation.

The program not only gives you amazing workouts, but it gives you a very great nutrition guide. Along with the guide it provides an easy list of foods that are more and less favorable to consume while working out. There are the obvious good foods such as fruits and vegetables, and then there are the obvious bad foods such as pastries, desserts, and soda pop. I really like the food guide though because there are five levels of foods and it explains to you which ones you can have all the time and which ones you should consume in moderation or not at all.

A word of caution. These workout are extremely intense but very effective. If you follow along as best you can throughout the workout your stamina will improve and so will your overall fitness. I began seeing results after the first two weeks. They weren’t dramatic, but all good things take time, and it made me feel good knowing that things were starting to change. The workout routines run from around 50 minutes to 80 minutes depending on which routing you are doing that day. This time also includes a five to ten minute warm up and a five to ten minute cool down. P90x recommends you do a minimum of six workout routines a week with the seventh day left as a stretch day or a do an optional relaxation day.

Unlike I expected, the p90x workouts were fun. I never felt bored, or that I was doing the same thing day after day. You target a new group of muscles each day so you never over work any certain area, but you will be sore for the first week or so. Tony Horton is also a very engaging instructor and host. He has a light and comical aura that made me laugh throughout the workouts. He also made me feel compelled to work my hardest and finish the workouts, even when I was exhausted. But he also always stresses good form and quitting before you hurt yourself. He is so likable, I almost felt as though he would know I was quitting and would be disappointed in me. Haha! all in all i would say that P90X is a very worthwhile workout routine. The online help and support you get is wonderful too. You can chat with fellow P90X’ers and find helpful tips, tricks, and recipes to help you continue your weight loss or fitness journey. They also offer daily prizes in the “Million Dollar Body Game” like iPods, digital camera’s and more for just logging your daily workouts on your Beachbody account that comes with p90x. One of the main things that sold me about P90x was the 90 day money back guarantee. If I was not 100% happy I could get my money back, however I was much happier than I could have imagined.

What are you waiting for? Try P90x Now

If you have tried p90x or have any questions about the p90x workout, I urge you to leave a comment with your p90x experiences or questions and I will answer them as soon as possible. Have a great day!

The post P90x Review first appeared on P90x Reviews.

We had to do a little domain shuffle, and finally everything is complete.

Between getting the new site setup, migrating all of the content, as well as an extremely tough end to our semester with much more homework and studying than we unfortunately we unable to keep up with all of the daily workouts and posts. Chelsea and Chris were were only able to do the workouts sporadically, however Bryan was able to finish his workouts, as well as finish taking all of his p90x results photos. Bryan was just not able to keep up with his daily blogging.

Overall we all agreed that P90x was easily the best workout any of us had ever done. Any future workouts will definitely be p90x, or possibly another Beachbody product. We saw no need for anything else. We all ended up getting just what we expected (getting stronger, trimmer, and much better cardiovascular shape) however we also gained a lot that we didn’t expect (Drastically improved flexibility, balance, and quickness)

If you are on the fence about getting P90x, check out the Buy P90x article for information on the best places to purchase this great workout, as well as how to get two free bonus workouts.

The post Important Update 2 first appeared on P90x Reviews.

Day 36: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, Ab Ripper X
Again I love this workout. Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, Ab Ripper X day hits my favorite areas. I want bigger and broader shoulders for a more dominant look, I want my front-upper body looking amazing, and I want bigger and stronger triceps because they account for more mass in your arms than biceps do. I made it all the way through and that is great. I can tell I am making nice improvements with my abs and shoulders. Bring on the plyo! Dont forget to check out more P90x Reviews

Update: I have not gotten to post all of my blogs, but I have posted my 90 day P90x Results Just click that link to check them out.

The post Bryan P90x Workout Reviews: Day 36 first appeared on P90x Reviews.

Well I am definitely full blown sick. Â I had to miss Easter dinner at our friends house because I didn’t want to get everyone else sick. Â Lucky for me they made me a to go plate for Chelsea to take home! Â It was really tasty. Â I didn’t do x stretch today unfortunately, I pretty much just lounged around and napped on and off all day. Â Hopefully I get back to normal soon.
