As Summer is winding down (but the temperatures don’t seem to be) I am still obsessing over the perfect powderless face. As the calendar has slowly been slipping away, I’ve been brainstorming ways to keep using my favorite products in the Fall months. Stila’s Convertible Color in Gerbera made it easy.

I love to pair a deep, hauting purple (like MAC’s Fig 2 eyeshadow) with a softened face. The best part about Gerbera, is that it is a soft peach shade. Ever considered combining peach & deep purple? I highly recommend it!

A few Fashion Weeks ago, I popped into the Lycra Denim lounge to check out what was going on. They were passing out jeans to editors, however I was more interested in the black polish sitting in bowls on the bar (sad, I know). Let’s face it – here in NYC the Summer weather has just started to finally rear it’s ugly head over the past couple of weeks. Prior to that, we had rainy, mild conditions. For about the past three weeks, the humidity has been combining with the heat to create some sort of hair warping bomb. Doesn’t matter if you are putting your hair into a ponytail (my daily MO), the humidty still finds some way to wreck it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

My life is so run-run, go-go that I rarely have time to refresh my look. Generally, it involves blotting my face, reapplying lipstick and running out the office door. Recently, I had the extreme pleasure to come home, let my hair down, take my makeup off and start the process all over again (minus a shower). Earlier that day, we had walked over the Brooklyn Bridge in 90 degree weather. Needless to say, my hair was still soaking wet.
