Samuel Ministering Under Eli

In those days the word of the LORD was rare… – I Samuel 3:1 

God’s word was very rare in those days. It was one special night that changed the course of a nation which was living a life of anarchy with no vision or purpose, every one did as he pleased there was no king or leader to lead them. But God spoke these words as “Samuel, Samuel” the Lord called this young man, who never expected. His mother was a woman of great faith; she named him as Samuel meaning “I asked the Lord for him”. He was the answer for this wonderful woman’s tears. Today we all want to hear the God of the universe speak to us directly calling our name like he called “Samuel, Samuel…“

So why did the Lord called this young boy. My Pastor always used to say there are more people who just echo the words of other people, but would not spent time with the Lord to hear from him. Have you wondered why the God is not speaking to me? If you long to hear God’s voice let us learn from the Life of this great prophet Samuel.

1. Being under Authority: Samuel was under the authority of Eli

He humbled under the mighty hand of God and under the authority God put on his life. Two times it is mentioned that he was under authority “but the boy ministered before the LORD under Eli the priest.” (I Samuel 2:11 and I Samuel 3:1). We all long to hear from God and do mighty things for the Lord, but we never want to go thru the process where God can mold us and shape us under an authority. There is no example in the Bible God used a man who would not submit under authority. Apostle Peter writes in his epistle to the next generation of young men.

“Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” – I Peter 5:5-6

2. In spite of the Circumstances Samuel Walked Truthfully before God:

Many times we would say that our circumstances are not good for us to walk Holy before the Lord. Samuel’s surrounding was not a best one he lived in the house of Eli, Eli’s sons lived a wicked life they disregarded the Lord’s offerings and angered God, they did adultery in the gates of the temple of God. But it says in the I Samuel 2:18 “But Samuel was ministering before the LORD”. He guarded his heart and walked Holy before the Lord. Many times people start grumbling and complaining of their circumstances, God will not use anyone with a grumbling spirit to change that circumstance.

3. Samuel grew day by day in Favor of the Lord and Men

God as a heavenly potter wants to shape us in to a wonderful vessel so that he can use it to bless many, but it involves time. God did not changed Samuel in to a prophet in one day, it took time and he allowed God to work day by day one step at a time. God is not expecting perfect people to use for his Glory, but people who will wait in his presence and grow day by day. Samuel was not truthful just before God, but was honest before men whom he served.

“And the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the LORD and with men.” I Samuel 2:26

4. Obeying God’s Servants will lead the way to hear from God directly:

Finally a night came when God came and called Samuel, It is so interesting to see Samuel running to Eli and say “You called me” in I Samuel 3. Not once three times God called him but he thought that Eli was calling him, his ears were so tuned to obey Eli, that he did not realized that God is speaking to him. This is the Key to hear from God. If we obey God’s words spoken through the servant of the living God, we become a perfect candidate to hear from God directly. The third time Eli realized that the Lord is speaking to the little boy, he thought him how to respond and when the Lord came and called him again, Samuel said speak for your servant is listening.

The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” – I Samuel 3:10

After this happens, God started to speak to him regularly and the whole nation recognized that Samuel is the prophet of the Lord. It was wonderful to read that God spoke with this Samuel as he speaks with his friend; he shared his sorrow with him. Samuel was the one who God used to direct the nation of Israel in one of the most important time in its history. God used Samuel to anoint Kings to serve his people.

“The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the LORD. The LORD continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word.” – I Samuel 3:19-21

Even in this generation God is looking for people with whom he can share his heart and reveal himself, if you have the above characteristics or if we develop with the help of the Holy Spirit, you are a perfect candidate to hear from God soon calling your name like “Samuel, Samuel…”

Mystery of Godliness

Godliness is a mystery for all of us, because it eludes our understanding. Can you imagine the God of Heaven and Earth, the creator of the whole universe walked among us, with same blood and fragile flesh like you and me. Yes it was a surprise entry in the history of the world when Jesus walked on this earth 2000 years before. He was thirsty, he was hungry, he was tired, he was tempted (but never sinned), he suffered, he even cried like you and me when he saw suffering of his beloved friends.  Suddenly we have this question WHY he should? That’s what Apostle Paul writes it is a Mystery. It is like a man turning himself to a small ant to save the ants from the coming forest fire which the ants never know.

Enter as Children

The people were all chanting the name Victorinus! Victorinus! Victorinus! That day as this old wise man stood up to confess his new belief in the Lord Jesus Christ after a long struggle. It was one of the extraordinary day in the late fourth Century. Christian belief was considered an outcast in Roman Empire at that time. The Old man was none other than Rome’s most distinguished professor of rhetoric Marius Victorinus. Victorinus attained such fame and popularity that in 353 a statue was erected in his honor. Victorinus was a great philosopher and was well educated man in all liberal arts, lived all his life defending his old pagan life until his conversion to the glorious Gospel of grace through God’s only son Jesus Christ accepting his grace through the cross.

Saint Augustine writes in his book Confessions about Victorinus’s and how it influenced his conversion. Victorinus read the Holy Scriptures many times and finally accepted the Gospel in his heart. Victorinus used to tell his friend Simplicianus that he is a Christian, But Simplicianus used to  constantly reply “until you come to the church and make your confession there, I would not believe”. After a long time one day Victorinus said his friend Simplicianus that he wants to go to the Church. In those days anyone who becomes a Christian need to confess their faith before the whole Church. But the Church made an exception to Victorinus because he was a very popular person in all Rome so that he can confess his faith privately to the church leaders. But Victorinus boldly declared that he had openly preached his old pagan faith with great eloquence which cannot save any body so he preferred to confess his new faith in public.

Thus the chanting of the name Victorinus! Victorinus! The whole city knew him very well and waited to hear what he is going to say and Victorinus reached to the podium and humbly declared that he has accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior thus confessed his new faith.

My Beloved, May be you are a well learned person, hard to come to terms with the reality of the faith. But you feel the urge and conviction of the Holy Spirit. Please do not reject his love. God made the salvation of mankind so simple that wise man cannot accept. He thinks it can’t be so simple. Think about it if the Salvation is so complicated only scientists and doctors can only go to heaven. But God has made it so simple that everyone can participate in it. Someone said “The pride made angels in to demons, but humility made man kind in to God sons and daughters”. Yes the devil and his angels were kicked out of heaven because of their pride. When we learn more we forget the creator and want to be wise before others and we refuse to accept the simple way to heaven as children. 

You can only enter God’s Kingdom as a Child

Jesus said “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” – Luke 18:17

Many people want to search, search, search with all their strength to know the truth, but see the above word. We can only find God’s way, if we humble as little children. That means trusting the father even when we can’t understand. See the little children they will trust their parents if they give a promise. Victorinus was a very brilliant man, but he finally humbled after a long time. For a long time, Victorinus could not let go his pride of life (his high status) to accept the way of the Savior. Faith is not for the weak, but for the strong who can trust him who created the world.

At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure. Matthew 11:25-26

God did not asked for man’s help to create mankind, in the same way he do not need man’s help for fixing the problem of sin which separated mankind from him(He sent his son to the world). So please don’t try to earn your salvation through good works and following a religion even it is Christianity. No religion will save us but with the relationship with God through his son.

I will give you rest

Yes it is hidden, because you think you are wise than God. If you humble, he will reveal himself to you. Saint Augustine said “I have read in Plato and Cicero sayings that are wise and very beautiful; but I have never read in either of them: Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden.”

Yes my beloved you can learn and like many wise authors, please check out whether any one of them said to you “I will give you rest”. Yes believe me he did to me on 1997 November 20th, the day I surrendered before the creator of heaven and earth.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27

If you want to pray and accept this wonderful savior who died for you and me on the cross, Please pray the following prayer with humility.

Prayer:

Dear God, thanks for opening my eyes of understanding for showing me your wonderful path. I accept I am a sinner, Please forgive me. I believe your son Jesus Christ died for me on the cross and arose again on the third day. Please accept me as your child and show me your path.

Wandering Around...

Have you ever felt like wandering? Not sure of what is happening around you, life seems to be purposeless, focus less, and Joy seems to be a distant dream. Wandering interestingly does not mean you are idle but “To move about without a definite destination or purpose”. Wandering means trying to satisfy yourself by your own trial and error methods. People who are wandering sometimes don’t even realize that they are wandering long time.  Wandering is tricky and will take out our valuable god given time and energy out of us, even when we think we are doing many things and running here and there. You can be very busy but still be wandering; Keeping busy does not mean we are walking not wandering.

Cain the Wanderer

The Bible talks about a person named Cain wandering around in Genesis 4. Cain was the first son of Adam and Eve who were created by God from the dust of the ground. So Cain was the first baby born in to the world by god’s wonderful gift for mankind the ability to multiply. When Cain was born Adam and Eve exclaimed we have produced something and named him Cain. But terribly he turned out to be the first murderer; he killed his own little brother Abel. God judged him for his sin, but instead of repenting the Bible says Cain went out of God’s presence and lived in the Land of Nod.

“So Cain went out from the LORD’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden” Genesis 4:16

Effects of Wandering:

The place Nod literally means “WANDERING”. Yes Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and lived his life just by wandering. Living away from God’s plan is wandering, doing our own thing. As God’s Children he has a wonderful plan for you and me, we could never find satisfaction in our life, unless we start living in right standing with God. God will never force his plan in to your life, but he is waiting for you to accept his plan, which gives abundant life in this word and leads to eternal life. From Cain’s life we can understand about the bad fruits of wandering.

• Wanderers fear the world around them
• Wanderers want to always stay alone
• Wanderers will be restless in their life
• Wanderers feel they never have hope
• Wanderers never want to talk about the creator God
• Wanderers make their own law rejecting his perfect laws

God’s Mark of Grace for Wanderers

“Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” Genesis 4:14

Cain said to God after he is judged for his sin that the punishment is too heavy for him. Cain feared for his life. But God is a perfect God who has created this world with perfect laws. Any sinner should be punished that is his justice. See nature around you, this world works perfectly under laws. Scientists today are digging deeper to know how this world is working so perfectly, one thing stands out its laws. God rules his creation by perfect laws. He is not just a law giver and Judge but a gracious loving God.

“But the LORD said to him, “Not so; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over.”  Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him” Genesis 4:15

Yes, God put a mark on Cain so that he will be having a grace time to repent and return to him. You might be wandering around; But God has still given you his grace to turn back to him any time. May be you walked one day in God’s ways, but now living discouraged and living away from God. May be you got diverted by the pleasures of this world, lust of the eyes. God still has a mark of Grace on you. Just comeback as you are he will heal all your wounds and change your life of desert in to an oasis again. 

My dear beloved how is your life today. Are you feeling lonely, Do you feel like wandering without any purpose.  Is sin ruining your life? If you feel like living a hopeless life, I want to share this good news to you that “God loves you”. As I have said God is a gracious loving God he has put a mark of grace for all of us, a way to turn back to him. He sent his only son in to this world for all of us wanderers. Yes Jesus came for you and me and died on the cross to pay the price for your sins and my sins. No more man’s sins will separate him from the loving God. You just need to take this free salvation and take the new life God has for you.

Romans Road back to God:

The Romans book in the bible clearly talks about the salvation of God through his son Jesus Christ.

1. We have all sinned and have fallen short

Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

Romans 3:10-18 – “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away; they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. … There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

2. Wages of Sin is Death, But the Gift of God is Eternal Life

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

3. God demonstrated his Love – He was not just giving rules and regulations

Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

4. How to be saved? – Call the Name of Jesus and believe that he died for you

Romans 10:9 – “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:13 – For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

5. Peace with God – We have peace with God through his Son Jesus Christ

Romans 5:1 – “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”

My beloved today, if you want to sincerely end your life of Wandering and start a new life in him. God demonstrated his love by sending his only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for you and me. He rose again on the third day and is in heaven preparing a place for all of us who takes his salvation. He is waiting for you!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Will you take your first step to come out of your life of wandering? Let us pray

Prayer:

Dear God, thanks for demonstrating your love by sending your son Jesus for my sins. I know I am a sinner and have rebelled against your laws. Please forgive me and accept me as your son. I do not want to wander any more. I will walk in your ways. Amen

If you have prayed this prayer with sincere heart, I know God would have given you his peace and Joy right now. Share with everybody around you what Jesus has done for you.

Overcoming Temptation

It’s Common for Everyone: 

 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. – I Corinthians 10:13

Jesus was tested like us, but did not sin:

Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. – Hebrews 2:18

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. – Hebrews 4:15

God does not tempt any one The Devil does

When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. James 1:13, 14

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:1

And he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. Mark 1:13

For Husband and Wife:

Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. – I Corinthians 7:5

Watch yourself, before lifting someone from temptation:

Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. – Galatians 6:1

Running after richness is a trap to Fall in to Temptation:

People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction – I Timothy 6:9

The devil always waits for an opportune time to tempt again:

When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. – Luke 4:13

Pray that you will not fall:

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. – Matthew 26:41

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. – Mark 14:38

Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation – Luke 22:46

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. – Matthew 6:13

We shall overcome… Because he Lives!

Wisemen searching for Truth

They were the wise men for the people around them; they were young, highly educated, lived two millenniums ago in the Far East; they were like today’s NASA astronomers. People around them thought that they had all knowledge. But they were continually searching to know the truth. They don’t just follow what others believe and say, they think because they were wise men. During their meetings they would ask and confront themselves with genuine questions like who we are? What is the purpose of life? What happens after death? Is there no purpose of this life after death? Etc.

They started asking questions to elders in the town, the elders said we all are just born, we should work hard, and then marry, and then we will have children, enjoy the life as we like, then we will have grand children and we will all die one day. The wise men asked the elder then what happens after we die? Elders replied that’s all, this is what I see in my entire life in this world, and this is what happening from the beginning. These wise men were so puzzled because they cannot believe that life came in to this world just like that. They cannot accept the brilliantly organized world which they studied all through their lives; which has perfect laws can come in to existence just like that. So they started their Journey to find the truth.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities his eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:20

The wise men closed their eyes for the world below and started seeing above them, they saw the glorious vast sky, and spectacular shining stars, analyzed them very closely day after day for many years.

They first found out that the creation declares God’s Glory

One day they saw a magnificent star in the heaven which is not like any other star they have seen in their life time and it was different and unique one of a kind. Their previous records said that extraordinary stars appear when very important things happen in this earth like when a King is born they appear. This is recorded in the Bible in Matthew 2:1-12

“We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2

They searched – If you search God you will find

The Bible records this star moved and in their quench for truth they followed it and it led them to the place of an ordinary manger in the city of Bethlehem. They traveled many days following that unique star, crossing mountains, rivers, deserts to know the truth.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

They found the savior of the World in an unusual place

In that small town of Bethlehem, There they saw a little child with their young parents. So they were standing still amazed because this King was not born on a palace but on the small manger among the sounds of sheep’s and cows. Suddenly there entered a group of shepherds with great shouts of Joy asking “Where is the Savior! Where is the Savior of the world?!” And when they saw this little baby they worshipped him.

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary,…” – Matthew 2:11

The wise men asked one of the shepherds, how do you know that this is the savior of the world? The shepherd said with great joy in his face that while in the night they were watching over their sheep’s, suddenly an Angel appeared and proclaimed

“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:9-12

They presented themselves and got Salvation, Joy and eternal Peace

“And they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.” – Matthew 2:11

When they heard this great news from these ordinary shepherds they humbled and accepted Jesus as their king and savior who was just born and opened their treasure boxes and presented precious gifts. They at last bowed down and presented themselves to King Jesus and received answers for all their confusions.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7

My dear friends you may be today wandering without peace, without answers for who we are?, what is the purpose of life? And is there life after death? Today I want to present this Good News to you, this world did not come in to existence by chance and we are not in this world by chance. We are created by a very loving creator. God created man kind to love and have fellowship with him. He placed you and me in this world to enjoy all its Glory. The Bible says we sinned against God. God who created everything with perfect laws and Justice cannot fellowship with Mankind so we are separated from him. But the loving God sent his only Son Jesus Christ in to this world to die for you and me to pay the penalty for our sins and opened another opportunity to fellowship with him again.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Bible says we will have eternal life with our creator God if we accept his son as our Savior.

Yes, the search ends for the wise men… What about you?

Prayer:

Dear Jesus, I accept you as my savior and Lord. I accept I am a sinner, Please forgive my sins. Thank you for dying for me on the cross and paying the price for my sins. Help me to live a Holy Life from today onwards.

Remembering my Father:

I thank my dear father Daniel a wonderful loving, caring, hard working, God fearing, who set an example for me to live a life of purpose. I remember his life with great Joy.

* The day he disciplined me when I was wrong, never hesitated to take rods.

* He always made sure where we come from, explaining his very humble beginnings with great thankfulness for God and the people who helped him.

* When he took me, my brother and my sister to our Village Eriodu in a southern corner of India by his new scooter. It was awesome bumpy ride trip.

* My father and my mother will pray early in the morning from 5:30 AM for our family, friends, neighbours, church and nation. They did not teach me to do it, I saw their example, They did it until my mother left this world for more than 20 years. My father he still continues to pray, He is a Man of Prayer.

* When he took me to his friends house to borrow money for my education with great humility, Had a great heart that somehow his children will excel than him.

* He always stood with my mother in all their decisions, they made sure that it is always their decision as parents not a lonely decision.

* My father loved, respected and honored my Mother in such a way, that I want to follow in my life with God’s Grace.

* Taught to Love God in difficult and in all circumstances.

Father is a Gardener

Genesis 2:15 – The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Children are like Arrow

Psalm 127:3-5 – Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Our Masters Voice : Is the Voice of Jesus my Shepherd!

Jesus said that his sheep will hear his voice, If we accept him as our Lord and saviour we will hear his voice and as a good shepherd he will lead us in to green pastures which our soul longs for.

Follow his Voice: “When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.” John 10:4

Our Master’s Voice

In The Beginning

Jesus Entering Jerusalem

It was an exhilarating day for the City of Jerusalem the whole city welcomed Jesus Christ as their King and Messiah, The sound of Joy erupted all around the city welcoming the deliverer, but the star attraction of the crowd was a little donkey on which Jesus rode from Bethphage to Jerusalem, The news spread like wild fire to all the donkeys in Jerusalem, on that night the donkeys want to celebrate this day and called for a meeting, because the savior of the world bypassed horses, chariots but chose a donkey to ride in to Jerusalem. All the donkeys gathered to see and to hear from this little donkey that carried Jesus.

The felicitation meeting started, some one said oh great donkey you have made us all proud. Some one said the way you walked in to the city is so wonderful, some one said the sound you made while walking was so nice to hear, another said the dress you wore was so beautiful and glittering. Many donkeys appreciated this donkey. Finally the turn came for the donkey to give the acceptance speech. The whole stadium was quiet to listen this little donkey speak.

 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; – Psalm 113:7

The donkey started by telling, how it was in a very unknown village in Bethphage bound for years, it’s previous master treated it so badly, it suffered persecution and never knew of freedom, but one day two persons came and they untied me, my previous master was so furious and shouted who is that untying my donkey, they said the Lord wants it. Immediately the old cruel master let me go, that’s the first day I felt the freedom from oppression and bondage, that is the day I realized there is some body who can free me. On the way the two persons told many wonderful things about Jesus, One person said Jesus healed many people and opened the eyes of the blind and made the lame walk. The other person said oh you should hear his words, full of compassion, it is so comforting, full of hope and he is the deliverer for all of us. Today he is the one who asked us to untie you and bring you to him.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. – John 10:10

The two persons presented me to Jesus, when I saw him he asked his disciples to wash me first and he himself cleaned all my wounds and applied oil, healed all my wounds and I heard his words of life, I was in awe of his unconditional love, I surrendered myself to this wonderful master for the love. And he asked me whether I can give him a ride to Jerusalem and I happily and joyfully carried him to Jerusalem, what ever you saw on me today in the street of Jerusalem, my talk, my style, all my talents are nothing if my deliverer is not on my back.

So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’ – Luke 17:10

Yes my beloved, I am one of his donkey in this world to carry him to the broken hearted, because he can heal broken hearts and give us new life a new beginning. I feel unworthy when people appreciate our efforts for the Lord. Lot of my friends used to ask me what is so special about this Jesus, It’s simple, I was once lost a wretched sinner lived a life with out a purpose, Oh what an amazing grace he gave me new life and changed me, washed me, gave me a new robe.

Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! – 1 Corinthians 9:16

My beloved let us not focus on people who carry Jesus, but focus the Light Jesus himself, who is the Alpha and Omega the author of our Life. If you are preaching the Gospel today let us humbly tell like John the Baptist “He must Increase, I must Decrease”, our work is to direct people to Jesus Christ not to ourselves, build his kingdom not our kingdom. God uses the humble people like this donkey to build his kingdom, he does not need mighty race horses, and he just needs ordinary people who believe in their extra ordinary God.

Today the Lord asks you

Will you be my legs so that I can walk to the dark places shining the Light?

Will you be his arms to help people in their need?

Will you show the Love of Jesus as he loved you?

Lord here I am, I will carry you.

Prayer:

 Lord, help me to walk according to your word during all the day of my Life.

 ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’ – Luke 17:10
