Mini-Mites  Program:

This Team  is intended for ages 5 to 8  who have completed  a Mite Development session and meets twice a week for 48 Sessions. Each session consist of professional instructional on ice training needed to become a hockey player.  All sessions are instructed by our professional coaching staff not volunteer parents.

What?
2 Practices per weekend and 12 Games.
Mini-Mites is the next step after Mite Development. Mini-Mites  focuses on skating, stick skills, and the introduction of real games for the 21-22 season.

When: 
Starts 9/12/21 to 3/6.

Sundays 7:50 AM
(9/12, 9/19, 9/26,10/3, 10/10)

Saturdays 8:00 AM & Sundays 7:50 AM 
10/16/21 to 3/6

Cost: $1100 for 48 (36 Practices & 12 Games) sessions  (5 payments of $220) includes all ice time, practice jersey, and game jersey.

Experience Required:
We recommend all players have completed a  Mite Development session or have 1 year of skating experience before enrolling in Mini-Mites. Our hockey professional coaching staff, will teach the next generation of skaters how to effectively skate and learn hockey skills. We have a 3:1 Coach to player ratio.

Greetings from the Connecticut Chiefs:

For those who don’t know me, my name is Mitch Beck. I am the Director of Operations and Split Season  HS Coach, and the new Director of Billet Player Placement for our Connecticut Chiefs.

Let me be the first to say thank you for taking the time to consider housing our young athletes who are coming here not only from out of the state but, in some cases, out of the country. These are fine young men. They are actively pursuing their dreams of playing the highest levels of hockey. We couldn’t be more excited to have them with us and potentially with some great families in our area, which we hope you will participate in doing.

Our goal is to locate hockey families that will provide a safe and supportive environment for these young men to continue their path to maturity. You and your family can have a profound impact and make a difference in their lives.

Most of these young men we are seeking housing for are between the ages of 16 and 20-years-old. Most will have transportation, and some will not. They are coming here because hockey will be their primary focus, but many also get jobs or attend classes, or both.

Those who have opened their homes to players have told us it was an extremely gratifying experience and that the relationships they build with our players continue well past their playing days. Of course, we have many families that continue to do it, year-in and year out, but as the Connecticut Chiefs hockey program continues to grow and prosper, the need for more host families grows right along with it.
