Season 2 news

With nothing better to do, George and I have started working on the second season. We have some information about changes to the show that we’re not yet ready to share as they may or may not actually be happening. But so far we are making some pretty good progress. We have outlines for seven episodes and a rough draft of the season premiere.

The one thing I can say for certain is that this season will be leaps and bounds better. We have added two additional writers to the mix; Jake Carolan and Adam Hainlin, which now makes this the same writing team as our award-winning short film. Did I mention we won an award for that? We’re also more than doubling the amount of crew that will be helping shoot this season which should only help the final product.

So why are we telling you all this? Because we need your help. We’re currently making lists of people who are interested in providing support either in the way of being an extra (we won’t pay you, but you will get free food and award-winning beer…that’s right, I won an award for my beer) or more importantly, connecting us with businesses/people who would be interested in becoming a sponsor of the show. Extras will be needed in St. Cloud and the Twin Cities. If you can help out the show in any way shoot me an email and we can chat.

Another Interview and our First Podcast Award!

Another two bits of information to shoot out quick. If you follow us on twitter you already knew this, but George and I were interviewed a few weeks ago for episode 91 of The Webcomics Beacon, which is our third interview and continues the trend of slightly larger and larger audiences that we’re reaching. Episode 7 and Fallcon!

Two great bits of information to share with everyone. First, episode 7 (the season finale) is now available and concludes the awesomeness that was the first season of the OnlineInternetWebcomicShow. You can check it the lastest episode on our website or watch it in HD on vimeo.

The second thing I wanted to talk about quick was just a reminder that we’ll be at Fallcon this Saturday and Sunday (10/10-10/11). Come check us out if you want to just say hello, or bring some money and support the show. We’re going to have buttons, clocks, beer glasses and shirts available.

Our second interview!

George and I recently spent an hour talking to the incredibly funny Rosscott, who does an excellent webcomic called The System. The interview was for his semi-new podcast called the Wonderful World of Webcomics where he discusses webcomic things with other webcomic people. So far, after our interview he’s managed to also record interviews with O from Commissioned Comics and Zack Wiener from Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal so if you like listening to people talk about webcomics I highly recommend checking out his podcast.

Episode 5 and Comic Conventions

First things first, Episode 5 is up! You can see it on our website or view it in beautiful HD at vimeo. But of course, if you followed us on twitter, you’d know that already because I posted it on there yesterday.

Secondly, we’re hitting the road in October with hopefully three public appearances.

Fallcon in St. Paul
Geek.Kon in Madison Wisconsin
Central Canada Comic Convention in Canada

There’s a pretty good chance we’ll even get to show our webseries at Geek.Kon and the Central Canada Comic Con as well as do a panel or two. We’ll make an updated post about that as stuff gets confirmed.

Do you know of a convention we can get to within one days drive of Minnesota? Let us know!

There are two important things to note today. I’ve decided that you, the OIWCS fans, are now to be refered to as OIWCERS. Like Oinkers without the “N”.
