Well lets see the result we have it on our poll 9. 75 % of people are voting for no while the other 25% goes to the answer yes. Lets see, most of the people have the fixed mindset that shopping is the privillage for women, and men act as the pick up goods worker and chauffeur but in my opinion, there are lots of metrosexsual guy as well, they like to dress up themselve, get a nice hair do and wear smartly in every situation. Hi! Today, I want to share something useful in shopping online with you which is how to shopping online smartly. Shopping online is convenience and attractive, people like to shop online because there selling stuff at cheaper price. Then, you can save some money on the shipping fees. Moreover, some merchants provide cash rebate for certain purchases. Now is the tough economic times, everyone wants to save money and making the most of what they earned. I believe that your parents would always advice you to save money and try not to buy less important stuff. Earn money is not easy, think twice before you pay for something and make every spends worthy.

A few days ago, i have read this article from TheStar Online.This article is about a China Online Shopping Website, Taobao.com. It has captured 75% of China online retail market since three years ago and has over 62 million registered members nowadays.

Consumers can buy a lot of things like clothes, accessories, tickets, lotteries, furniture, digital cameras, software, computers, mobile phones, skin cares, cosmetics, electric appliances. I also found that the products are comes from overseas such as UK, US, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, the country itself and so on. Based on the article, the buyers can return the effective product to exchange and also can obtain the receipts from the seller and the corporate for the products.

Taobao created 570,000 jobs last year based to an iResearch survey in China.The result shows that 19% of the jobs in Shanghai, the international gateway to China. More than 50% of the individual sellers on Taobao are aged between 23 and 32. The majority are fresh graduates. The result also shows 44% of the sellers earn between 1,000 yuan and 2,000 yuan a month; 4% between 4,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan, and 2% more than 6,000 yuan a month.

Hi, everyone! It is the end of the week so i am here to analyse the poll result again. The question of this week poll is "What will you do when Online Banking?" The result is shown at the following. There is 38% of the voters who will check for enquiry when they Online Banking. Followed by 37% of the voters will make payment online. Third, 13% of the voters chose prepaid service when they Online Banking. Lastly, voters who make fund transfer online are only 12%.

Nowadays people can check their account enquiry, make payment, prepaid service, fund transfer online instead of going to particular bank. Different banks offer different services online. The answer of the poll question are the common services that provided by most of the bank such as Maybank, Public Bank, Cimb bank, RHB Bank and so on. The most common advantages of Online Banking are save time and save energy. Users no need to step out of home to do the banking services. It save time and energy instead of finding parking slot and queuing for the machine or sometimes users have to wait for the receptionist to serve them.

I have read through some articles from magazines and online articles, I found out that woman and man behave and acted difference way in online shopping, for woman, going shopping is a major source of relaxation and a way to release the tenses. For men, they will think that shopping is time consuming, wasted money and energy and this would not be the favorite activity for them. This is just a fix mindset of the public. It is important to note that trends in demography can be particularly misleading and can reverse suddenly. Due to the time constraint, changing social roles and technology advanced, people demand more in their life and the way they act to be in the upper trend and in today social. As I know, man actually purchase as much as the woman, they usually shop for the IT goods or merchandise for their love one in online retailer. Bid for the goods, they have been given a minimum amount from the online retailer, to bid, and the highest price will get the goods at last.

In the last articles I introduced a websites which is cafepress.com, which provide user friendly service, easy access and navigate and it is more than the conventional types of online shopping. And today, I will introduce another available and interesting websites as well, Createspace.com, it is a sites which allowed user to produce their own book, music collection and movie collection. Is it like the other way of reaching the user demand to be a writer, although they could not be very famous after all, although they will not have good sales for their book at last, but still in this way, they can try to be a writer. There is a case that a young woman I read from an article, she has been very famous in online writing; she believes as long as she tried, everything would be possible. And she end up in the result to be a writer in the real world and finally she has she own writing and book all sold all over the world. In createspace.com, it provides free charge in producing a book, CDs and DVDs collection, until someone has buy the masterpiece, and after the user has uploaded their work and customize the service, it will automatically help the user to advertise their work in Amazon as well, but still the user has to advertise by themselves as well. Nowadays, people would rather stay at home to manage their financial transaction than step out to bank and queue up for banking. Today is the day to release the poll result of week 5. Below is the chart to indicate the percentages of each options.

The question of this week is: "Which form of delivery would you prefer?"

Well, most of the respondences would rather choose shipping which has 60% votes. On the other hand, 20% of the respondences would choose download to get their online purchased product. The rest 20% of votes were in-store pickup.

According to wikipedia, shipping is a one of the type of delivery forms which is to transport goods and cargo. There are three types of shipping transportations which including land, air and sea. Most of the online shoppers would prefer shipping because it is convenience. The product will be send to your door by vans or trucks depend on the product size and it will be arrive in a couple weeks. Normally, the online seller will charge some shipping fees such as insurance, air freight fee and so on. Besides, the download delivery form mostly used for original softwares, musics, movies, images, and so on. They can easily get those updates of original softwares from the internet and no need to go out to get the softwares they wanted. In addition, not many people would want to get their product through in-store pickup. Online shopping is about convenience and shopping without step out their house. Those people who choose to pick up their product on the spot is because they want to make sure the product they bought is complete and unbroken.

Hello, everyone know online booking?? Online booking means the customers are booking the services online. There are a lot of services can be book online. For instant, the customer can book movie ticket, flight ticket, hotel's room, KTV's room and so on.

The benefit of online booking is the customer can save a lot times instead of queuing up at the counter. For example, i think you guys have the experience that queuing up at the cinema box office to buy tickets right? It's really extreme crowded and sometimes you might don't want to watch movie anymore. But you all realize that the counter for telephone booking and online booking always lesser people are queuing up or sometimes there are no people queuing there? It's really save time because you just tell the pin number to the receptionist and then you just pay the money to them, lastly you can get the tickets. See, it's fast right?

The second benefit of online booking is to save energy. It is because you will know whether there is available for the particular service instead of you go to the place then only know the service is unavailable. I have an experience when i want go to KTV with my friends. After we reached there only we know the rooms were full. It is very disappointed when our friends and I have the mood to sing karaoke. Well, i think online booking the KTV's room is only available at Red Box and Green Box. It's convenient if you booked the room online and for the members, you will get double collective point for your card.

Another benefit of online booking is customers can pick the specific rooms or seat of the services. Customers can just choose the preferred seats or rooms by clicking it and it's charge of free! It is what we called, first come first serve. This is the privilege that can enjoy by the customers who book online. For example, the consumers can book movie tickets and choose the seats that they preferred. Another example is customers can choose the seats when they book flight tickets online. So you won't seperate with your partner when there is full.

A Case

Well, today we will have some discussion, that I felt really angry about, welcome to drop a comment right here. I had a friend who was really admired Manchester United football group for so long , he was about to find the limited edition Manchester jersey all over the available retailer, like Nike, Adidas and so on, but unfortunately he has got no result in the end. I told him maybe he should get a shot in online shopping website, maybe there is an available online shopping retailer would sell that limited edition jersey, since he saw that Jersey introduce in an online articles. He wouldn`t gave up any chances to get the jersey, So he decided to find it at online shopping website, and he found it, he called me and told me how happy and excited he was, he finally made the ordered for a red jersey.

He waited for two weeks, and finally the parcel delivered to his house, he opened the wrap and found out that is not the jersey that he wanted and ordered, the online retailer gave him an Arsenal Jersey rather than a Manchester Jersey, and that jersey is selling at all the available store in the shopping mall, and is selling cheaper than the online retailer, he was so angry, and called to the website service line, but they did not giving an answer that can satisfied us, and they keep saying, “Sorry Sir, I am not so sure about it” , and we asked for refund, but she said “I’m sorry , that is not refundable”. How blur she was, she can`t even make any explanation at all, irresponsible. My friend gave that jersey to the other friend for his own sake, he is fed up and really disappointed about this matter.

Well, trying to buy stuff in online retailer is actually not really, not that okay and dangerous, but before you made any order for stuff, think wise and make some judgments to the website. Don`t simply click on the stuff and order without reading the terms and conditions and also the paying platform, THINK WISE. Because not every online retailer is safe and secure.

Hi! Its time to share the poll result of this week.

The poll question of this week is "How do you find online shopping websites?" Based on the poll chart, most of the people which is 50% are found online shopping websites by word of mouth. Other than this, there are 30% of the people claimed that they found online shopping websites through the forum. The minority of people which has 20% votes are found online shopping websites by using search engine.

Many online shoppers would like to share their online shopping experiences with their friends in a conservation. They will recommend the good online shopping websites to friends and at the same time, they will also discourage the bad online shopping websites. Therefore, the online shopping websites spreading around and many people will try online shopping websites that recommended by friends. On the other hand, forum is a good medium to share the online shopping websites. People discuss everything there... about music, movie, IT stuff, shopping, and so on.

Hello, how are you guys?? Busy on assignments?? Me too.. haha.. The topic that i wanted to cover is Home Shopping. Online shopping and TV Shopping are categorize as Home Shopping.

Do you guys ever watch of the programme that a host introduce some products?? The duration of this programme is about 30 minutes to 1 hour and the programme is repeating over and over again but just to introduce one or two products? This is what we called TV Home Shopping. Most of the programme will broadcast at morning and target to the housewives. The example of TV Home Shopping in Malaysia is SmartShop and Quantum Showcase. There are home shopping network TV in other countries such as America, Taiwan, UK and so on. Most of the home shopping network TV is successfully make sales. Unfortunately, i don't think TV Home Shopping is effective in our country.

The process of TV Home shopping is quite easy. The consumer only have to call to the hot line that show at the bottom of the TV and you can order the products that you wanted. Definitely you must tell them your details when you buy the products like your name, address, telephone number and so on. The consumers can pay the product when they receive the products by paying cash or credit card.

Another category of Home Shopping is food delivery such as Mcdonalds, Pizza Hut, Dominos Pizza and so on. It's simple to order your food. Just pick up the phone and dial to the particular number and follow the voice instruction. Then you can order your food and beverage. The poll question for last week was "How do you make payment for online purchases?"

According to the poll result, the majority of people which is 78.57%, would rather choose internet banking than the other online payment methods. Besides that, the minority of people would make payment by using debit cards and cash on delivery(COD) while at the same time both have got 7.14% votes. In addition, there is 7.14% of the people voted for "other" votes and has entered cash deposite as their answer.

Based on the responds we have got in the previous poll analysis, some said that rather go shopping in the shopping mall than shopping online. This is because of they can touch and try the product before purchase it. There are many risks and tricks in the internet, online shoppers have to be aware about cracking and hacking. They might hack your account and steal your information for another purposes. What do you think about our poll? Is the result announced in your expectation? Feel free to drop comments.

Recently, my web development lecturer Mr. Andrew has taught a lesson which is about the tools and methods of cybercrime and the safeguard (the solution to solve the risk of cybercrime) which is very useful in my topic, and I get to learn more. The paragraph above claims that among the payments like bank transfer and credit card payment the consumers will choose credit card payment on the spot. This is convienience to complete the purchase. Moreover, the consumers no need go to bank and transfer the money after they have booked the stuff.

Mostly people are paying by credit card while doing online shopping, which I found is very dangerous. CCV, as know as credit card validation, it available behind of the physical card, it was numbers that state behind the credit card. In reality, the store will normally, verified the card with a Point of Sale terminal to handle credit card transactions, like what you can see when you buy things by using credit card in a store or market. A receipt will be given by the cashier to keep it as a proof of the trade. But in online shopping, it seems natural that online commerce would be done with credit cards rather than other kind of payments. Just simply type our credit card number into the merchant's World Wide Web (www) page payment form and wait for our purchase to be shipped to us. The only thing that needs to pass between the merchant and the buyer is the credit card number. The problem is, it's not that simple and safe. In the open networking, the data show and flow without unencrypted, the mischief-maker may uses the number without the person permission to do some unknown trade and action. Unless there is a security based provision built in that can ease the people`s fear, a secure server is one that uses a protocol such as SSL or S-HTTP to transmit data between the server and browser, which a person have to beware of that before making any payment by using credit card.

Today i will discuss about the result of the poll question. Our question of the poll is "What would you buy from the internet?"

Based on the result of the poll, most of the people will buy clothes when they online shopping which is 71%. The following things that people will buy from internet are perfumes and accessories. Perfumes and accessories are each contain 14% of the result. On the other hand, there is no people buy accessories in the internet.

We have asked the question whether you have tried online shopping last week. Most of the people haven't try to shop online. I think the majority of the people who have tried to shop online is female because they bought clothes, beauty and perfumes from the internet. Hi~ Everybody! Today I will discuss about the risks of shopping online. Generally, the greater risk of shopping online is the process of making payment which involved in sharing credit cards over the internet. The consumers might get their credit cards data to be stolen and then the bad people in the net may be use the the credit card number to make transactions.

Besides, the consumers might access to fraudulent online shopping websites. The fraudsters accepting consumer's payment which pay by the credit card for their purchases and within one or two days the particular website is gone. At this time, it is too late to cancel their transaction when the consumer found out this and they still need to pay for their purchases.

On the other hand, the consumers sometimes complained that the item they received is not as nice looking as they seen in the picture from internet. The worse thing is, they might receive broken item from the seller while the item sold out is not changeable or refundable.

That is what I have heard from my friends who has shopping online. There is many false and tricks in the online shopping. You as a smart consumer, you have to be smart choosing online shopping sites and be careful while making payment for your purchases. T&C of Online Shopping

Hihi, Happy Chinese New Year! For the people who want to shop online, you must read on the Terms and Conditions carefully. It is because that T&C may contain important information which is about your rights, obligations and limitations. The first thing that you may concern is the delivery charges. Different delivery areas will charge you different. The further places that the product will be delivered, the more expensive will be charged on the customers. The charges may vary from West Malaysia to East Malaysia.

Then, you have to notice the delivery time from the time that you ordered the products. This also the disadvantage of online shopping cause it take time to deliver the products to your house. So, you can't receive your product immediately. You have to wait a couple of day and sometimes it may take more than one week when it is out of stock. On the other hand, ordering food is different from ordering product. For example, if you ordered food from Pizza Hut, it will deduct money if they didn't deliver to your house within 25 minutes.

Beside that, you also have to notice about whether you can change your stock if the products that you received were different such as different sizes, colour, shapes, and so on. How about food like Mcdonalds, Domino and Pizza Hut? If they gave you Mc Chiken but you were ordering Filet-o-Fish? Then what will you do? Just pay the money and eat it? Or you want them to refund to you? Well, i think most of the consumer will just pay the money but not ask them to deliver Mc Chicken to you again right? As a consumer, we should concern about our rights and limitations.

In the last articles, I got Stephanie to share her experienced as an online buyer and what she found interesting in online shopping. And today I get Gladys Chan, a college student who commit in her perfume business in Friendster to share her experience and how the little extra income comes from the business.

Sue Chean: I heard you created your own little perfume business in Friendster. What inspired you to start the online business?

Gladys : I see the potential in online shopping. It is a networking, you can even link to the people from oversea, and you can see how far it can go. It develops and expanded widely. As you known I’m a college student who interesting in marketing management. And I find out this is a best way for me to try management in my own little business, and gain some experience without large expenses.

Sue Chean: how do you manage you profile?

Gladys : well, I log in to the profile everyday to check if anyone drops me a message or comment in Friendster. And I update the profile once a while, and introducing the new perfume and sometimes I do promotion as well.

Sue Chean: what do you do to attract the customer?

Gladys : like I said, I do have some scheme sometimes, and join the fashion group to promote my profile. And of course, I use the most effective term, words of mouth to send my message around, haha my friends helped me a lot in that.

Sue Chean: for so long, do you have your own loyal customer?

Gladys : Ya, some customer will contact me again if they need any perfume, sometime they will even introduce some of their friends to my perfume profile as well. It is nice to have such customer.

Seems like online shopping do make Gladys earn some money, and she likes what she do. To attract and maintain your customer loyalty, you must always comes up with some little trick and strategy, customer do not visit your profile, if nothing can pull their attention. Hi everyone~ Today, we will discuss the result of the poll question-

"Have you ever tried online shopping?"

According to the result, it shows that 62.5% of respondence have never tried online shopping and 37.5% of the respondence have online shopping.

Most of the people claim that they have never tried online shopping because online shopping is not so popular in Malaysia, hence people do not know how to shop online as well. They rather to try and touch when they buying stuff. Besides, customer need to waits for a couple of days to receive the product. More to the point, those pictures are not believeable. Sometimes the products you bought from internet are not as nice as you seen in the picture. If you are not satisfied the product, you cannot refund or exchange it. The minority people who have tried online shopping said that they can get cheap stuff from the internet. Besides, they no need to go out and queue up for paying.

For me, I have never tried online shopping. I prefer see and touch the product before I buy it. It is a waste of money if you get a product that you do not like. Well, this is my opinion. How about you guys? Feel free to share your online shopping experience and opinion here!
