Are you stuck in a rut and find yourself unable to move up the corporate ladder? Are you looking for better job prospects and a higher salary? Do you believe that having only an undergraduate degree is preventing you from accomplishing your career goals? Then, maybe its time to look at the best possible solution to your professional problems! The answer lies in online learning and what it can offer you in terms of career advancement.

Now, you might think that you are just too busy to resume your education. Juggling your job along with responsibilities at home may be preventing you from enrolling for that college course you have been toying with. Or taking time off from work to complete your education may just not be an option in today’s competitive market. It is in situations like these that an online degree program becomes an ideal solution. No doubt, earning a living is important, but nowadays this does not necessarily imply giving up your dream of a higher education. You can attend college after work with an online education school.

Online education is growing fast with many schools offering online degrees. Many colleges now offer courses and methods of studying that are easier and more enjoyable. You will receive the same quality education and degree as attending a campus. The difference is that your online degree is earned from home in your own time.

There are so many options when it comes to an online degree. You can choose from an Associate, Bachelor’s and even a Master’s degree. But the biggest plus point in favor of online education is the convenience. There are no set times and class schedules and you can work faster or slower depending on the pace you require. You can complete your degree in lesser timeframe, which allows you to re-enter the work arena in a shorter time frame than with a traditional college program. You can attend class whenever you have the time and without having to commute or spend on gas or public transport. All that you require is a computer with an Internet connection to access all your course information online. A good program will promote communication between lecturers and other fellow students through email, forums, message boards and chat rooms. For those on a budget, most online programs offer flexible payments and are, as a rule, less expensive than a normal school program. Financial aid is also available for online education, so check out your options before registering.

Therefore, the highlights of online education are: A school that is open round the clock No traveling or commuting fees Less expensive course fees Study at your own convenience Access to the curriculum and course material is always available

In terms of today’s shaky economy, you might be struggling to hold onto your job and stay afloat. It’s in such situations that you need to boost your job skills and optimize your resume by adding new up-to-date skills through the variety of online degree programs available. Regardless of what you are interested in, the odds are that you will be able to find an online degree that meets your needs. Another benefit of choosing long distance education is that you are not limited by the programs offered by the schools around you. You can choose a program, no matter how obscure the field, rather than settling for programs available only through your local college or university.

In many careers, promotions are limited for individuals who do not have degrees. Working professionals should choose an online degree program to get out of a dead-end job. Choose a program that offers training that will benefit you with your career goals as well.

At the end of the day though, online programs are not an easy option. All said and done, completing any online degree program requires commitment and determination. You need discipline to stay on track but when you finally graduate, you will reap the benefits of online education that make all the difference to your career … and your life.

Fast track Degree Programs - An Overview - by SCOTT C

There is a new breed of degree programs fast gaining popularity. Schools and colleges have long since ceased to be the prerogative of the young’s who have all the time on their hands. Students are now increasingly mature and are either in the midst of a career break or switch and need to graduate as soon as possible. These new degrees are referred to as ‘fast track programs’ or ‘accelerated degrees,’ and are targeted towards students – young and mature, who are looking to own a degree faster and in a shorter time! This may include older students who have other commitments in terms of family and career and need to complete their degree quickly as well as traditional students who are simply eager to get on the fast track to begin their careers. A normal bachelor’s degree takes around four years to complete but now there are programs available which make it possible to achieve this goal even in as little as 24 to 36 months. These fast track programs are also marketed as a less expensive option to traditional programs, which have left countless students deep in student debt. Apart from the financial advantages, a fast track degree allows employees to move faster up the corporate ladder by gaining further qualifications or students, who have taken a gap year, to catch up with the rest of their peers.

Accelerated degree programs can be rather intense because they generally involve completing all of the required coursework in a limited frame of time as compared to being spread out over an entire semester. Students opting for an accelerated degree programs have to realize that there will be a great deal of work involved as these accelerated programs will still have all the basic requirements as traditional programs. Submitting assignments and completing coursework in a shorter period of time demands proper scheduling of time and discipline. Before registering for an accelerated program, it is also important to carefully review all of the course requirements. Keep in mind factors such as the amount of class time required and the time table of submissions and projects. Additionally, the methods for testing and submissions need to be noted as it is necessary to select a course where you can meet all of the requirements without any negative impact on your other commitments. By enrolling in an accelerated college degree program you will be able to cut down the time spent on your education drastically. There are completely accredited and respected colleges that offer accelerated programs. Most of these programs also accept transfer of credits from previous courses as well. Applying and getting accepted in to an accelerated degree program is an extensive process which involves the completion of a definite set of entry requirements (these will be defined by the school so check carefully with your admissions office), completion of all application forms and submission of all previous school transcripts. Some programs may also ask for proof of previous work experience for admittance into the program.

So, if you are in a hurry to receive your degree, then you need to start planning and researching right away to find a fully accredited institution that suits you best. Once you have narrowed down the search to a few, check on the following:

• Inquire if the college offers exactly the type of degree you are looking for. Some colleges only offer accelerated programs for their Bachelor's degrees or Master's degrees, but many do offer both.

• Keep an eye on the costs. While cheaper than a traditional program, a fast track degree might not be applicable for funding or federal aid especially if you are a mature student. So speak to your school’s financial aid office. Also, check on the school’s policy on refunds and cancellations.

• Assess all the commitments demanded by the program. Find out what your class schedule is like and when study group sessions are held. Normally, these are not optional so you will have to factor them into your current schedule. Since these programs already meet on a limited basis, more than one or two absences can seriously jeopardize your ability to graduate.

• Inquire about the entrance requirements for the program. Bachelor's and Master’s degree programs have different requirements such as a minimum level of credits, GPA, and sometimes even work experience and referrals.

• Collect all your information before applying so that no further time is wasted. You might need letters from your employer, proof of work experience, copies of transcripts and diplomas from your previous school as well as letters of recommendation.

Once you have everything in place, and you enroll for your accelerated degree program, make sure that you are dedicated to complete the program and give it your best. You have already taken the first step towards jump starting your career. Now the only thing to do is to see it through!

Why is Accreditation important while selecting a College? - by SCOTT C

In the U.S., post-secondary education is not monitored by any specific agency or cabinet. Because of this, accreditation was created so that the quality of education being received by students attending colleges and universities was more transparent. When choosing a degree program, one important factor to consider is to check which agencies have accredited the school or the program in which you are interested. Visit the school’s website and look for the accreditation symbols. Most colleges will have a page devoted to accreditation but if you are still not satisfied, contact the issuing authority to find out more information. Even though accreditation may not seem the likely place to begin when investigating your college, it is a reliable starting point of an indication of the institution’s academic offerings and to decide whether it’s the best investment of your money and time.

So, how does a program get accredited? In short, schools applying for accreditation must provide the following information in order to be considered. They must provide a clear mission statement along with the program outlines and curriculum. Information on the methods of instruction and testing materials have to be mentioned with the necessary study instructions and learning resources. There has to be evidence of proper record keeping and regular student surveys in addition to faculty and administration background information. Only once all this paper work is submitted to the concerned body and approved, can a program receive accreditation. It is obvious then that becoming accredited is a rigorous process and programs that receive accreditation have ultimately proven their worth as legitimate teaching institutions.

But, why go through all this in the first place? Basically, accreditation assures the student of the following:

- That he or she is entitled to equal rights of admission, registration, counseling, placement and orientation as every other student. This is important if you are opting for a long distance learning program. - If the school or college is not accredited by a nationally recognized accredited organization, the school is then unable to participate in any student aid programs offered by the government. For students, this means that you will not be eligible for any student loans or federal grants. Accreditation also ensures that all Federal Aid funds are being used effectively. - Future employers will rarely reimburse the tuition of any employee who has attended a school that is not accredited.

- If your career demands a state licensure exam, it is common for states to require that a college, university, or program be accredited before allowing students to acquire licensure.

- Coursework or even a degree from an accredited college can help you qualify for admission to other higher degree programs.

- Transfer of credits is only possible from one college to another, if both are accredited.

- Applying for a job after you graduate might prove to be difficult if your qualifications or degree has been granted by a school that is not accredited. In short, your entire education might be proved to be a waste of time, effort and money. Most employers review a job applicant's educational history to make sure that he or she has received his or her education from a college, university, or program with accreditation and if not, this could hamper the chances of future employment. In spite of all the regulations and rules, keep in mind that there are college accreditation associations that are not legitimate. Some colleges – so called ‘diploma mills’ create their own accrediting authority and then grant themselves “accreditation.” So, always be careful and dig deeper when investigating the accreditation of the college of your choice. There are basically only TWO large organizations in the U.S. that recognize accrediting agencies and give them the required validation. These are the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). You can visit US Department of Education website (http://www.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ope/index.html) and CHEA website (CHEA.org) for a complete list of the accrediting agencies that these two bodies recognize.

To summarize, accreditation is a tool used to evaluate, monitor and assess the quality and standards of education offered by a college or institution. It instills trust in students, parents, and faculty alike that the education being offered is worthwhile and of value. Another objective of accreditation is to achieve positive outcomes in learning. Colleges, whose students consistently fail to achieve a particular level of performance, also come under the evaluation of the accreditation agency concerned.

However, if a college degree program you are interested in does not have a recognized accreditation, it also could mean that the program or institution is new and has not yet met all the minimum requirements for accreditation. You should research the college as much as possible and think of the long term consequences before signing up for anything. Ultimately, it is your education at stake. When in doubt – look it up!

Google Has Hit Me With The Spam Bat

So yeah, apparently I create a blog with a very specific purpose and content, about online colleges and universities, hence the name, I am classified as a spam site. Federal program is usually managed by Department of Education and has a deadline of March 1st.

Generally, four main types of financial assistance are available: work-study awards, loans, grants and scholarships. In case of scholarship, a student doesn’t have to pay back the cash awarded. Scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of their talent in academics, art, music, athletics and other fields. Loans must be paid back at a specific rate of interest. Grants are similar to scholarships and students do not have to pay them back either. Work study is payment made to those students who helps to pay for college costs.

How To Apply For FAFSA

Before you begin your fafsa application process, it is recommended to read the fafsa worksheet. The worksheet is an 8 page document that contains some of the same questions as the actual Fafsa application. The benefit of this worksheet is that it gives you an idea of what to expect on the fafsa.

In order to apply for the above mentioned programs, you have to fill out a paper work for the FAFSA. An easier way to fill out the fafsa application is through their website located at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. The task can be quite daunting, however, it is not so tough as it seems. Following information are required to complete FAFSA:

Social security number of the students.

Driving license of the students.

W-2 Forms of the students.

Student’s Federal Income Tax Return of last year.

Parent’s Federal Income Tax Return.

Previous years’ untaxed income records – veteran benefits, welfare, assistance to poor families, and social security records.

Previous years’ bank statement.

Previous years’ farm and business records; bond; stock; investment mortgage and business information and other necessary investment record.

Alien registration card.

Department of Education needs a minimum of 4 weeks to complete the FAFSA process. The time to perform the procedure depends on several factors. While processing the FAFSA application form, the Department of Education checks whether the form has been filled out properly, and whether all the necessary documents are attached.

Although FAFSA may appear daunting, it is a crucial step to acquire your student loan. Unless you fill out the FAFSA application, you won’t be able to qualify for the loan.

More College Students Use Non-Traditional Methods, Such As CLEP Exams, To Complete College Degrees - by SPEEDY PREP

The face of today’s college student is quickly changing. Fewer and fewer college students are “traditional” college students, those who are between the ages of 18-22 and complete their degree at a brick and mortar university in about four years. More students are taking advantage of non-traditional ways of completing college degrees, such as distance learning programs, independent studies, online degree programs, credits earned through prior learning assessment, PLA, (also known as Recognition of Prior Learning, RPL), and credits earned through CLEP exams. Although many students are eager to learn about the multiple options they have for earning credits toward their college degree, they can be unsure of how to go about earning credits through non-traditional ways or intimidated by the multiple options for earning college credits. Often, college students hear about non-traditional ways to earn credits through their peers. Hearing of others’ positive experiences using non-traditional means of obtaining college credits can be both enlightening and encouraging to students.

One college graduate who obtained over half of his degree requirements using non-traditional methods is Dave from San Jose, California. Dave summarized his approach toward college when he stated, “Because I chose a career where seniority is everything, I decided to complete job training I needed to enter my desired career and then work on completing my college degree after I began my career. Because my rigorous work schedule did not give me time to attend a traditional brick and mortar university, I opted to obtain my degree through a reputable university that allowed me to earn credits using PLA, CLEP, and online classes.” Taking advantage of skills and proficiencies earned through job training and career experience, Dave earned some credits through PLA. Online classes lent flexibility to Dave’s busy schedule. In addition, after finding out about CLEP (College Level Examination Program), Dave was able to achieve almost half of his degree requirements through CLEP exams.

CLEP is a program that allows students to earn college credits by demonstrating college-level proficiency on a standardized test. These exams cover material that is usually taught in lower-level college courses. There are 34 different tests for students to take in subjects such science, history, and business. CLEP tests, which cost $70 to take, generally contain approximately 80-140 multiple choice questions, and are 90 minutes long, are administered at over 1,400 CLEP testing centers located throughout the U.S. and abroad. Dave found a testing center about 30 minutes away from his home and was able to prepare for and take CLEP tests as his schedule allowed.

When describing the methods he used to prepare for CLEP tests, Dave stated, “In order to learn what I needed to know to pass, I had to thoroughly study and learn the material. Unlike some students, I was unfamiliar with most of the material that would be covered on the CLEP tests. For me, the CLEP test prep process involved going through study questions multiple times each day until I could answer each question correctly.” Dave recommends online programs that students can use to quickly and affordably prepare for CLEP exams, such as http://www.speedyprep.com/. Dave encourages other students to use http://www.speedyprep.com/ to prepare for their CLEP exams because this affordable, online CLEP test prep system uses a question-based approach to learning that eliminates the need to read and memorize thick and expensive study guides and textbooks. Dave also recommends http://www.speedyprep.com/ because the system features tracking software that gives a visual indication of studying progress on a progress bar and notifies students when they have reached a level of learning required to pass their test. Dave noted that, in order for him to quickly master a large amount of unfamiliar material, he had to study diligently and not let too much time pass between study sessions. Although he often prepared for each CLEP test over several weeks, Dave was able to prepare for one exam in two days by studying 12 hours each day.

CLEP exams not only helped Dave to save time and money, but they also helped him to graduate on time. When Dave’s college informed him prior to his graduation audit that he would be unable to transfer in a class taken at a prior school, he was able to meet one of his final degree requirements testing out. Having earned numerous college credits using CLEP exams, Dave now tells other students about how they, too, can benefit. Students are advised to talk to their academic advisor in order to find out their college’s CLEP test policies prior to taking CLEP exams. CLEP exams are one of the many ways that students can earn college credits! With college tuition on the rise, and time an increasingly valuable asset, more and more students like Dave are taking advantage of affordable, flexible, and often creative ways of working toward a valuable college degree.

About US: SpeedyPrep, LLC is a web-based company featuring 100% online study courses, which can be accessed via membership to the website SpeedyPrep.com. CLEP prep, CLEP exams and CLEP study guides that 100% guarantee a passing score.

A look at the Fire Science College - by RICHARD MORRISSON

Fire Science College was setup in order to provide the service people with a complete degree in fire prevention or administration. The Internet is an opportunity for you to obtain any degree of your choice from the comfort of your home at less expense and stress.

With the Internet and your own computer it no longer does matters whether you are about advancing qualification as you work or you are a high school leaver furthering your education for a college degree, you can study for and get your degree at your own time in the comfort of your home. Several traditional colleges and new age Internet schools are offering courses leading to online college degrees.

This advantage is for you to take, and it does not matter where you are so long as you have Internet connection and a computer. You can study in your home, out of doors, in your office or even while traveling.

However, all I have said so far depend on you having the entry level qualification. A lot of schools are offering online degree programs, but they also have specific requirements you must meet before you can be enrolled. Courses for just about any field of endeavor such as engineering, accounting, psychology, marketing, law, etc are available for you to choose.

Online education allows you to fix your time of study to sooth your daily or weekly schedule. You can study at weekends or at nights, the decision is yours to make. But one point you should note is that in this case you need a lot of self motivation and determination in order not slack in your studies even as you continue to work your day job.

Instead of using paper and pen as in the conventional classroom setting, document files for download, emails, chatting and discussion forums are the study materials used in online courses for training you for your degree exams. No papers and pens and no note copying is involved. There are even instances when you can talk with you teacher online via computer to computer phone call, but you will have to expend money for this.

The conclusion of this discuss is that you are responsible for seeing yourself through your courses. If you are able to harmonize your work, family responsibilities and your study schedule, you will be able to complete your courses in record time and obtain your online degree on your chosen field of study. However, do not let the convenience of online study derail you from your goal, be determined and focused.

MBAs: Online vs. On-Campus - by FIONA PHILIPS

While the world of academia is sometimes regarded as slow to adapt to the quickly changing world of technology, this view has proven to be somewhat misguided. The large number of respected institutions that are now offering online MBA programs is evidence that traditional schools are embracing alternative and flexible learning methods. Today, students can choose to undertake their MBA education on campus, online, full-time, part-time or independently. Which method is best? That's partially up to you.

For some students, there is no substitute for face-to-face interaction. The structuring and time scheduling of traditional coursework proves conducive to students who prefer to avoid at-home distractions and regularity. Those resistant to online study point to the lack of peer interaction as a detriment to distance learning programs. However, because of new technologies and online implementations, many distance learning programs prove to be even more collaborative than sitting passively in a vast lecture hall. Students in online courses often enjoy direct access to teachers via email, message boards, chat rooms and other electronic means. Still, some students prefer working with their peers and professors in person - it's simply a matter of learning style preference.

Meanwhile, students who wish to pursue careers often enjoy the flexibility that asynchronous learning affords them. Careers in business are particularly demanding of time, with work hours that sometimes extend beyond typical business hours, which can prove troublesome for some students taking night classes. Online study allows them to go at their own pace while still giving them the resources and support that on-campus students are afforded.

Work experience is an especially valuable asset for business students and MBA candidates. When deciding between a student who entered graduate school immediately after earning his or her bachelor's degree and a candidate who with demonstrated work experience and an MBA, the latter is often a shoe-in. The organizational behavior and time management skills needed to pursue a distance learning or part-time MBA program are highly valued in the fast-paced business world, and earning an MBA while holding down a steady job proves that your ability.

Another concern regarding online education is the amount of recognition and respect it garners on a resume. This particular issue is becoming less relevant, however, as more and more traditional schools are realizing the value of offering online programs. Today, students can earn business degrees and MBAs from the very same schools that traditionally only offered on-campus education. In fact, some Ivy League schools are even offering courses online with transferable credit.

The key to earning a degree that holds distinction in the job market is to carefully review the institutions accreditation and reputation. A site like mbas.com greatly aids in your research. For example, mbas.com allows students to search a database of schools offering online, part-time and distance learning programs for easy comparison. Students can narrow their searches based on their criteria and request exclusive information directly from the school. Visiting sites like mbas.com has become standard practice for students seeking high quality MBA education.

Free Online Courses for All - by LOKE YUEN WONG

Following are some of the world’s leading universities which offer their courses for free via online platform:

Stanford University -Stanford is offering free cyber courses in computer science and electrical engineering. While the reasons may vary from class attendance absentee or the need to recap past material, or to prepare for qualifying examinations, the results that are sought are often the same, good scores.

The resources that different students refer to are varied, and while the Internet is a great source of information, most university students prefer referring to textbooks and notes that have been tried before and tested by other students. Besides, when it comes to preparing for various exams, the source of your information is as important as the information itself.

Irrespective of the subject that you are pursuing, you can be assured that you will find relevant sources amidst our wide database. Prepbooks.com is made available for university students in their final terms to help with GMAT and GRE so that they can get themselves admitted into various Master’s programs. Prepbooks.com is also made available for students looking for the Best Prep Books, Class Notes, Test Preparation Books, Certification Material and TextBooks.

It is well known that buying books can be quite an expensive affair, and it is for this very reason that more and more people opt to look through our database first to search for their books. Not only does this get them the required books at a fraction of their original costs, but this will save them even more money since Prepbooks.com does not charge fees.

Using our services would also allow you to interact with people who could give you recommendations about what standardized books has worked for them in the past. Since this is a platform where you would get to interact with other students, these recommendations would come your way fairly often. With many former as well as existing students using our services to sell their old books, the availability of these recommended titles becomes fairly commonplace. Besides, books that have sold well in the past would automatically find their way onto our already existing list of prepbooks for all university students simply because the more that a popular tile has sold in the past, the more the chances of it being put up again for sale to help someone else.

The possibility of buying fairly expensive textbooks at reduced prices continues to make us more popular with an ever increasing list of university students, and our database of prepbooks continues to grow leaps and bounds with every passing day, and with every student that chooses to use our services; whether to buy, to sell, of simply to refer to.

The icing on the cake is that you no longer need to pay any kind of a fee to use our services. You can now post all your preparatory book related requirements on our web site for free, and you can also choose to sell your old books through us for free as in “NO Prepbooks.com fees”.

You can now refer to our website at http://www.prepbooks.com/ to help you prepare for any upcoming exam without worrying about any additional costs, and be confident of finding the Best Prep Books with ease.

Michelle Johnson is a writer in the Media department of Prepbooks.com which offers the best prep books, test preparation books and certification material in the market.

How to Prepare for Life after College - by TODD HICKS

Are you a high school student who is planning to attend college? Are you currently a college student who is studying very hard and expecting to accomplish your goal of living the “American Dream”? Going through the process of being a college student can be a mountain of fun; however, there are steps you must take to make the transition from your college graduation to experiencing real life smoother. You will learn tips for planning your college exit and conquering the real world upon graduation from college.

If you are a high school student who wants to attend college, it would be in your best interests to seek advice pertaining to what you should study in college. Go to your high school guidance counselor’s office and take an aptitude test to discover the career areas you would be a strong fit for.

Once a university accepts you, choose a major that highly interests you and fits your skills. Take an abundance of courses that represent your major and the requirements you must meet to graduate. Before signing up to take some classes that are not required, consider whether they will teach you things and skills you can use to help you get a better grasp of different things in the world and place you on the path to becoming well-rounded and living a better life.

Try to work a part-time job while you are in college. It is important to do this to help pay for college, reduce the amount of money you spend on student loans and earn the opportunity to have an adequate savings waiting for you at graduation time.

Handle your finances very carefully. It is extremely important to reduce the amount of money you spend and deposit a good deal of money into your bank account. I would be struggling more financially than I am now if I had not saved up thousands of dollars while working my way through college.

Reduce the amount of debt you incur and end up being obligated to pay back. Pay back as much money on your student loan balance as you can to avoid having to pay back more money later as a result of your balance increasing through the interest your loan carries. Try to use a debit card issued by your bank instead of using a credit card.

Try to get a head start on gaining the experience employers crave. Look for a good internship that directly pertains to your major.

Before you graduate, prepare your cover letter and resume. You can get assistance with this process by going to your college career services office or reading books.

Make your college graduation ceremony very special. Invite as many friends and family members as you can.

Once you graduate, begin looking for a job in the field you are studying. Maintain flexibility. If you have trouble finding a job pertaining to your degree, try to find any job you can. Also consider doing projects, becoming a consultant for temp agencies and doing freelance work.

Follow these steps to make your transition from college to the real world smoother!

Todd Hicks owns Skill Development Institute, an enterprise that provides a keyboard typing lesson and academic study guide. To become a great typist or student, visit Skill Development Institute. http://sdinst.blogspot.com/

Are you thinking of pursuing a degree in teaching? - by ERIK JON

The demand for teachers is rising every day; online degrees in education are a major avenue that will help fulfill the rising need for qualified teachers. From conventional knowledge-based courses to modern job-oriented courses, from land-based classrooms to podcasts, education has emerged in a new avatar, known as distance education. It has achieved new heights in the recent past. That’s because it is a great way to advance one’s qualifications in the most convenient manner. It is so convenient that it even allows the student to set his or her own schedule and pace for learning. Students all over the world have embraced this mode of learning and it has become an integral part of modern education. The methods of delivery it comprises are correspondence, video conference, teleconference, and online communications such as, e-mail, chat and podcasts. Even the most modern courses are available for today’s students through distance learning mode.

To be a successful learner in distance learning mode, students should build a few habits. Like,

They should be more focused as there will be no mentor to guide them, they will be entirely on their own. Disruptions are bound to happen when you are at home, but ignoring them all and concentrating exclusively on your studies is a skill you just have to develop.

They should manage their time very carefully, keeping in mind the fact that even if it’s designed in such a way that you can go on with your work, and you still have to meet your commitments and then study.

They need to constantly upgrade their knowledge base since there won’t be other classmates to spread some news on current affairs or discuss latest issues.

They need to self-motivated, always.

Good reading skills are very essential here. Since you are all by yourself, you need to master good reading comprehension skills to master the subject material.

They must not procrastinate. Procrastination will only harm their academic career and the damage will be irreversible. Distance learning courses are no different than on-campus courses. It offers you a wide array of resources and great convenience which enables you to enrich your knowledge-base a lot more than a regular course. Just think of the accessibility it provides, you can explore a multitude of resources which gives you an educational experience like no other. Possibilities of acquiring useful knowledge are endless but the responsibility of filtering through fake institutes and universities that are spread all over, offering distance learning courses and degrees of all kinds, promising you a career of your dreams. Do your research to check the legitimacy of these diploma mills. Otherwise it can cost you your career, not to mention the time and effort.

When it comes to distance education, UK is the first choice among all students because of its glory. UK distance learning is famous for its quality of education and this is the reason why it’s so respected worldwide. A degree from a UK university is regarded as an asset and ambitious students from all the across the globe crave for it. It not only adds a prestigious touch to your academic background but also helps you identify your core competencies and build new leadership and motivational skills, create a portfolio of your own, and in short, make you an emerging leader.

I am an educationist and self published author. I believe that distance learning courses are in no way different than traditional courses.
