My dad gave us three wild azalea plants which are blooming. I’ve been protecting them from deer with cages, but may remove one of the cages to see what happens. Unlike the hybridized evergreen azaleas, these are deciduous. Please comment if you have any recommendations for protecting them from deer. I like the plants, but caged plants are kind of an eyesore.
Yesterday I posted a picture of the most common yellow wildflower. Today I’m featuring rare yellow beauties we are fortunate to have growing in the woods around our house… yellow lady’s slippers! We have a spectacular cluster of 11 blooms this year with numerous others around.
