Remedy released this video last week to explain to fans what is going on with the team. It would seem that they would take the opportunity to get everyone pumped up for Quantum Break now that it was revealed for the Xbox One but surprisingly the majority of this video is of Sam Lake apologizing that Alan Wake 2 is not coming and why that decision was made. Fuck, thank God I watched this sober the first time cuz I would have shed a tear inebriated if I saw Max Payne heartbroken telling me that he wanted to work on Alan Wake 2 but financially it’s not in Microsoft’s best interest.

I didn’t know they cared that much. I know the game was in development for 5+ years but I didn’t think they were so passionate about it. I love Alan Wake, off the top of my head I’d say that it’s my favorite game ever. I hate that “desert island” question but if there ever was a game I’d take with me that I’d like to play over and over it’s Alan Wake. Shit I popped it in a few days ago and it clicked: it’s so much like a Stephen King novel that seeing the same thing over and over and over in the beginning does not devalue the experience. I know exactly what’s going to happen now, know the shit like the back of my hand, but it’s the enjoyment of the experience and appreciation of it as an art that makes me enjoy it so much more every time. Like listenting to your favorite symphony with your eyes closed, Alan Wake will likely be the last reason I ever turn on my Xbox 360 years from now.

I hope Alan Wake 2 comes out some day.

Shit I’ve been lagging because I wanted to jump on this as soon as it happened but it’s all about scheduling computer time to get shit going. What do you guys think of Xbox One? All I hear from people bitching about it is that there wasn’t much shown as far as games go. That’s dumb because E3 is right around the corner, the whole point of this was to show off the hardware that the games will be running on. What matters now is what this box will do that will set it apart from Sony’s deezer.

I’m pretty stoked for this because of the app switching and better integration with Smart Glass and the Windows ecosystem. Remember when they came out with Xbox Live about a year after the Xbox was released? They did pretty well with it but the biggest selling point about the Xbox 360 was that it was designed with Xbox Live from the beginning and that it would be “baked in” to the system. This sounds the same as what’s going to happen with Kinect and Smart Glass. Everything will be seamless and launch faster, fully integrated the way it should be. That’s sick. I’m really expecting the Smart Glass experience to completely show up the Wii U. It’s not far fetched imagining that you’ll be able to watch shows or movies on Smart Glass while someone else is playing Xbox One. Streaming shit independently to a tablet or phone while the machine is running instead of waiting for a cumbersome app to load as it stands now.

I’m also stoked for gaming DVR, some shit we can all take advantage of. There are many classic gaming moments we would like to capture and show others, post on here, but it’s a hassle now to get a video capture device and a computer to record some shit so I resort to YouTube to see if anyone’s got footage of some shit I want to post.

So what else is worth getting excited about?

This song just came up on my phone and figured it’s a good time to do one of these posts. There doesn’t seem to be an official music video but I did find this perdition. What movie is this?? Looks to be on some bully cock and then that broad bites his neck… what the fuck??

The idea crossed my mind to play some World at War on Memorial Day instead of watching a war flick but I didn’t have time. I was finally able to play it today hoping to beat a mission on Veteran difficulty. I figured maybe I could give it a run through the campaign again since the game did have it’s cool moments and it felt like you were fighting alongside Jack Bauer most of the time. A few deaths later I decided that wasn’t a good idea.

The game really shows it’s age. Even though the graphics are sick like Modern Warfare the animations and mechanics are more like Call of Duty 2. Then all of the things that I hate about CoD came to the forefront: Getting rained on by grenades on the harder difficulites. Going prone and peeking around sandbags only to still get hit by fuckers you can’t see, screen immediately flashing red. Killing countless guys as you hold position only to realize that you have no choice to risk it and run forward to the next cover in order to “move the chains” and trigger the game to save a checkpoint and stop spawning enemies. That last one is what got me. It was only the second mission and I couldn’t imagine the later ambushes at this difficulty and I decided to put the game away again. Back to playing Need for Speed: Shift

Of course, with a Brazilian loss come a Brazillion excuses. It’s how the game works. God forbid they lose because the other fighter actually had a good night, goddamnit there were other factors involved! Bigfoot is claiming blows to the back of the head and an early stoppage. As far as the early stoppage goes, that fucker turtled up and he actually went down before he got up. How you gon’ get up if that’s how you get down??? I saw the video and there were a couple of blows to the back of his melon but please, stop bitching. I’m tired of these fuckers like Big Nog claiming he was sick, JDS claiming that he was going through marital separation…if anything that’s a fucking performance enhancer, one look at JDS’ bitch makes you wonder how the split wouldn’t have caused him to vacate the belt had he won given the excessive euphoric endorphins he must have experienced during training camp.

So fuck claiming a split from an ugly broad, claiming to be sick, or like Bigfoot claimed that he couldn’t see because of too much blood in his eye with his first fight with Cain. Motherfucker, Cain elbowed your fucking dome on purpose. If that shit bloodied then that was the whole point. Shut the fuck up and take your loss like a man.
