The fire at Whistler/Blackcomb that started last Thursday after lightning strikes is now 85% contained. This has allowed the re-opening of Blackcomb Mountain to guests yesterday.

Here’s a handy tip on how to get up the slopes quicker than everyone else. If you live in Melbourne and are heading up to Mt Buller, by-pass the lift ticket queues and pre-purchase your lift ticket at Altitude Clothing Store located at 241 Elizabeth St, Melbourne. Unfortunately you can not buy direct on their on-line store. [...]
