Sammy Sosa: “I’m Not Trying to be Michael Jackson!”

If there was one person who undoubtedly caused a stir at the recent 2009 Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, it was former Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa. If you haven’t seen the pics, then let’s just say that he had an unusual makeover.

The baseball player was looking at bit lighter at the awards, causing people to accuse Sosa of everything from bleaching his skin to overdosing on steroids. The truth? He just had a spa day, at least that’s what Sosa wants us to believe.

“I’m not trying to be Michael Jackson,” Sosa informs Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis.

"He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin," says Polihronis. "Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting. He is in the middle of doing a cleansing process to his skin. The picture is deceiving. He said, 'If you saw me in person, you would be surprised. When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture. People who saw him in person did not react the same way. He can't believe it is such a big deal."

Hmm. We never heard of someone going through a “rejuvenation process” and coming out looking like a completely different nationality! However, certain laser treatments do cause discoloration on the skin, making it appear lighter or darker.

"He was doing a dermatological skin process after years and years (of playing baseball) in the sun," says Polihronis. "It is what a lot of people do. It did come out looking weird in the picture."

All we can say is that if five months pass and Sosa is still looking the same, then we’ll know for certain that someone was telling a white lie.

Jennifer Lopez Sues Ex-Husband for Steamy Honeymoon Video

Jennifer Lopez is known for debuting some of the hottest videos around, but there is one in particular that she doesn’t want anyone to see.

The actress/singer, like most celebrities in Tinseltown, is currently involved in a sex tape scandal, all thanks to ex-husband Ojani Noa who now wants to cash in on their steamy footage from their 1997 honeymoon.

Lopez filed a $10 million lawsuit against Noa, claiming that he breached a confidentiality agreement. For now a Los Angeles judge ordered Noa to stash away the tape. However, Noa hasn’t revealed whether he’ll ultimately release the hot footage for cash anyway.

So what does this tape have that’s making the Puerto Rican bombshell all hot and bothered? According to the National Enquirier, the video has 11 hours of footage showing Lopez posing in lingerie, being spanked in bed by her former hubby, hopping on a motorcycle with no underwear, and having a nasty fight with her mother.

Noa’s honeymoon video sounds pretty tame by today’s Paris Hilton standards, so why all the controversy? According to film producer Ed Meyer, he believes the footage will tarnish Lopez’s reputation among her fans and even cause a major riff with current husband, salsero Marc Anthony. However, there seems to be one major flaw that Lopez seems to be overlooking.

“He shot them with his camera, so he owns the copyright. She can’t stop him,” explains Meyer.

Lawyers for Lopez and Noa are set to appear in front of LA County Superior Court Judge James Chalfant today, when he’ll decide the fate of the hot video.

Did Josh Duhamel Cheat on Fergie?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, you would know that the latest news to hit Hollywood is actor Josh Duhamel's alleged affair with a stripper he met in Atlanta. At first we thought this was just some random gossip to hurt poor Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, but things are beginning to get a bit more serious.

Stripper Nicole Forrester, who’s on the cover of nearly every tabloid to date, recently passed a polygraph test and even has the text messages from Duhamel to prove it.

“We did hook up, we had lots of sex, and we had a really, really good time,” she states.

According to Forrester, she first met Duhamel at a strip club in Atlanta and at first glance, he looked like just another customer. The mother two also mention that it didn’t take long for the duo to hook up that night.

“The next morning, when I left, you know, he kissed me on the cheek, really sweet guy,” says Forrester.

Sounds like a gentleman!

After Duhamel bragged about his steamy night, the Enquirer approached Forrester for her story. When reporters from the Enquirer said they would print the story regardless of her cooperation, she agreed to a paid interview.

“I’m not lying about anything, and he’s just as guilty as I am,” she reveals.

Although Fergie hasn’t made any comments about the relationship, we wouldn’t be surprised if she filed for divorce anytime soon.

Calle 13 Tops List of 2009 Latin GRAMMY Winners

The biggest night in Latin music finally happened and the winners have been revealed!

Puerto Rican urban duo Calle 13, which led nominations for the 10th Annual Latin Grammys, stole the show last night by taking home five awards, including Album of the Year and Best Urban Music Album for Los de Atrás Vienen Conmigo, as well as for “Best Short Form Video, Record of the Year, and Best Alternative Song.

The 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards was aired live last night on Univision and was held at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center with spectacular results. Juan Gabriel, who was selected as the Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year, performed for an astonishing 40 minutes. And what other awards show has successfully gotten away with that on live television?

Other winners in the major categories included pop singer Luis Fonsi for Song of the Year (“Aquí Estoy Yo”), Italian diva Laura Pauisini for Best Female Pop Vocal Album (Primavera Anticipada), Nicaraguan salsero Luis Enrique for Best Tropical Song (“Yo No Sé Mañana”) Mexican rock group Jaguares for Best Rock Album (45), and Brazil’s Caetano Veloso for best singer/songwriter album (Zii e Zie).

Along with the winners gracing the stage to accept their golden prizes, it was the performances that wowed the crowd. Pausini opened up the show singing her hit “Entonces No” with acrobatic group Le Rêve performing in the background. Later on in the evening, Calle 13 performed their single “La Perla” with Ruben Blades and Cirque Su Soleil’s Mystère. In addition, Alejandro Sanz sung his new single with Alicia Keys, plus Gilberto Santa Rosa and Oscar D’ Leon provided hip-shaking salsa beats, getting people up from their seats and dancing.

By the way, did you notice what a cute couple Sanz and Keys make? If only it were true!

New Wisin y Yandel Video Joins Reggaeton Duo with T-Pain in “Imaginate”

From rapper 50 Cent to Spanish pop crooner Enrique Iglesias, we’re constantly hearing of new, surprising collaborations that all involve the two. While girls throughtout the country dressed up as sexy vampires, cops, and Playboy bunnies for Halloween, Jessica Alba chose to channel her inner child with an interesting getup.

This year's highly talked about Halloween bash hosted by the “Queen of Halloween,” Heidi Klum, was presented by SKYY Vodka at Voyeur in West Hollywood. As always, the stars came out dressed in their best costumes to drink some cocktails and dance the night away. The most elaborate costume award usually goes to Miss. Queen Halloween herself and this year did not disappoint. Elaborately dressed in a black crow costume with long silky feathers and a scary beak with hubby Seal, the supermodel revealed that she begins planning her costume the July before Halloween! Wow, that sure beats the average slutty teacher costume!

Sacha Baron Cohen came wearing a Hillary Clinton mask, and Alba, who surprised everyone danced on banquettes in a "Dora the Explorer" outfit (with husband Cash Warren as Diego) and Eliza Dushku and boyfriend embraced the vampire craze dressed as gangster vampires.

Of course, Paris Hilton had to plan a controversial and attention grabbing outfit, even if she wasn’t necessarily the one wearing it! Paris was dressed as a swan, picked out by boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, and Paris dressed her boyfriend in a tooth fairy outfit; complete with a tulle dress and fairy wings.

Shockingly, the walking corpses and scary contortionists were even more frightening than Hilton and tooth fairy Reinhardt; and another Heidi Klum costume party is a success!

Cuban bombshell Mayra Veronica classifies herself as a pop singer, but to all of her male fans, she’s one of the hottest pinups to grace any calendar or magazine. However, things got a bit more caliente for the 32-year-old model.

For the first time in her career, Veronica allowed one lucky photographer to shoot naked pictures of her, which were meant for a private collection. Unfortunately for Veronica, those photos have surfaced on the Internet and are being sold by a third party in a steamy new calendar. While Veronica hasn’t released an official statement on the matter, sources are stating that she’s very upset, to say the least.

We have a feeling that photographer won’t get another chance to see Veronica’s assets in the flesh again. Then again, any publicity is good publicity in Hollywood!

Justin Timberlake's Tequila Garners Live Nation Deal

We assume that by reading the headline you think that Justin Timberlake is the new artist with the big contract over at Live Nation, but in actuality the deal that he struck with Live Nation had nothing to do with his music, but only with his tequila brand. Last Wednesday Live Nation announced that Timberlake’s 901 Silver Tequila, a premium brand launched by the artist earlier this year, will be the new official tequila sponsor of the majority of Live Nation venues throughout the United States. Right now there are no details that go into the relationship between Timberlake and the ticket and event promoter other than this, however, you can’t help but to think that he’s one step closer to inking a major deal that would involve his touring. The Secret behind Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson’s Relationship

Ever since New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez and Hollywood actress Kate Hudson hooked up back in May, people can’t stop talking about them. Both are famous serial daters and yet they managed to find true love with each other, or so it seems. However, friends of the couple are revealing to the press that there’s more to their relationship than nights out dancing or flowers.

Apparently, Rodriguez is a homerun in the bedroom, at least that’s what Hudson wants us to believe. “They love sex!” exclaims one close pal. “They talk about it all day. Kate gets graphic talking about his body, even to her parents.”

Despite this reported benefit to their relationship, Hudson is aware of Rodriguez’s reputation as a playboy. During his five-year marriage to now ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez, he spent a scandalous night out with stripper Joslyn Noel Morse. In addition, let’s not forget how his romance to pop superstar Madonna may have led to his split with his wife to begin with! But fret not, Hudson is convinced that she’s “changing him for the better.”

And how so, one may ask? “He’s less of a jerk,” jokes the source. “He’s also more free-spirited.”

Great sex or not, we wouldn’t be surprised if these two called it quits by the end of the year.

The 40-year-old singer and her hubby Marc Anthony hosted a major fiesta at LIV Nightclub inside the Fontainebleau Hotel where she debuted her new video “Fresh Out the Oven” featuring Pitbull. As the 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards comes closer, we’re quickly finding out which of our favorite musical celebrities were nominated, as well as the many performers scheduled to hit the stage. However, we just discovered some very special news involving one of the top Puerto Rican salseros in the Latin music industry.

Victor Manuelle was recently named the Heineken Green Ribbon Ambassador for the Latin Grammys! For those who’re not familiar with the Heineken Green Ribbon program, ir provides funding to music education programs and emerging artists in communities across the country. Originally launched in 2004, the Heineken Green Ribbon program has donated at leas $70,000 to numerous Hispanic music organizations, including The Celia Cruz Foundation and the National Association of Latino Arts & Culture (NALAC).

Mary-Kate Olsen's Vampire Dreams are Dead

Mary-Kate Olsen: tiny lady, former actress, sometimes designer, Vampire? That’s what Ms. Olsen was hoping to become for TV show "Blue Bloods," a show based on a book series about socialite teen vampires living in the city.

But, just when you thought the vampire craze of 2009 just couldn’t hit it’s limit, the CW proved otherwise and decided not to pick up "Blue Bloods" because it was too similar to "Gossip Girl" and they already have a show airing about vampires, "Vampire Diaries."

Regardless, it is a sad day for both Mary-Kate and Melissa de la Cruz, the writer of the Blue Bloods book series. Mary-Kate will no longer have the chance to play head vamp Schuyler van Alen while running around the city in designer clothes and Ms. Cruz lost a show that was all ready to go. In fact, Ms. Cruz handpicked Mary-Kate to play the lead based on her “cool and vulnerable style." Yes, cool, vulnerable and now unemployed.

Johnny Ventura to Visit University Center for Exclusive Performance

Kiki Valdes Debuts Pop Up Show in NYC

Famous Cuban-American artist Kiki Valdes is making a grand voyage to debut his highly anticipated exhibition.

The Miami-based Valdes is bringing his creations to New York City's Empire State this weekend. His work is going to be featured at the Roger Smith Hotel’s new social media experiment, the Pop Up Show. Located on Manhattan's posh Lexington Avenue., the Roger Smith Hotel has been known to host a number of art events including the Roger Smith Shorts film festival.

The reception, including Valdes creating a piece on sight, will be Thursday from 7-9PM. After the reception, the exhibit will run from October 20-25.

Calle 13 and Ruben Blades to Perform at the Latin Grammys

As we’re getting closer to the 10th annual Latin Grammy Awards, the names of the selected few set to perform during the special music ceremony is being announced to the media. Fortunately, we were pleasantly surprise to hear one of the first duos scheduled to hit the stage.

The Latin Recording Academy announced that Puerto Rican urban duo Calle 13 and legendary Panamanian salsa singer Ruben Blades will be uniting to sing for the Latin Grammys, which takes place at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center on Thursday, November 5th. The event will be broadcast live on the Univision Network from 8-11PM EST. Other artists scheduled to perform are David Bisbal, Shalia Durcal, Luz Rios, and Alejandro Sanz.

Calle 13 are leading year’s leading nominees, thanks to their nods for Album Of The Year, Best Urban Music Album for Los De Atrás Vienen Conmigo, Record Of The Year, and Best Alternative Song for "No Hay Nadie Como Tú" (with Café Tacvba), along with Best Short Form Music Video for "La Perla" (with Rubén Blades). Singer/songwriter Luz Ríos has two nods for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Album (Aire). David Bisbal, Rubén Blades, and Shaila Dúrcal each have one nomination: Bisbal for Record Of The Year ("Aquí Estoy Yo" with Luis Fonsi, Aleks Syntek, and Noel Schajris); Blades for Best Short Form Music Video ("La Perla" with Calle 13); and Dúrcal for Best Ranchero Album (Corazón Ranchero).

Alejandra Guzman Hospitalized After Botched Surgery

Talk about a major pain in the a@*!

Like most celebrities, Mexican rockera Alejandra Guzman decided to get some cosmetic surgery for a shapelier rump. She went to a clinic run by Valentina Albornoz for some butt injections that would do just the trick. However, this was no treat.

Once the injection entered Guzman’s body, she began to complain of unusual aches. Albornoz did offered to treat her, but Guzman was smart enough to go to a hospital instead. To her dismay, she soon found out that the procedure caused an infection that spread throughout her body. Now, that same infection is putting the singer at risk for paralysis. Other patients, including actress Gaby Ramirez, filed complaints on how they too suffered from Albornoz’s handiwork, which led to the “surgeon’s” arrest.

According to reports, Albornoz doesn’t even have any proper cosmetology credentials. All she has to her name is a high school diploma!

While Guzman is still being properly treated, she did take the time to speak with El Universal on how women should conduct careful research before going under the knife.

Hopefully it’s not too late for the Latin Grammy Award-winning star.

Benicio Del Toro Gets Candid with Playboy

Hollywood bad boy Benicio Del Toro has come out of hiding and does something that we rarely seem him do: open up to the media.

The brooding Puerto Rican actor sat down with Playboy Magazine’s Contributing Editor Stephen Rebello and discusses everything from his alleged sexual encounter with starlet Scarlett Johansson, to racial profiling. He even gives fans tidbits on his upcoming remake of the 1950s chiller The Wolf Man.

Del Toro’s Playboy interview is currently available at newsstands, but just for our readers, we’re highlighting some selected quotes directly from the man:

On being typecast: “I do get the tortured-soul roles. I’d like to play a romantic lead, but I don’t necessarily get those offers coming my way. It’s not like I’ve got a chip on my shoulder about it, though, because I’ve been lucky to have filmmakers and casting directors help me just find a freaking job, as well as let me explore good stories and characters. I can’t complain if studio guys see me as the dark force. Whether it is because of skin color, thought, action, it doesn’t matter.”

On West Side Story: “It’s a great movie, and I don’t look at it like, ‘Oh my God, what a disaster of stereotypes.’ Of course, it has stereotypes, but I don’t think it’s a film other Puerto Ricans feel is typically stereotypical either. If it makes people see things a certain way, I wouldn’t put it on the movie. It’s like blaming crime on rock and roll.”

On experiencing racial profiling: “Yeah, I’ve been profiled for being Puerto Rican, for having a different kind of last name or for looking a different way. It’s happened to me in Italy, England, here at home, and it has even happened in Puerto Rico. But that doesn’t mean I think all Italian, British, American and Puerto Rican people or cops are like that. … I was driving, my hair was long, I had on a leather jacket, I was blasting tunes, and I got pulled over. And the policeman said, ‘Is this your car?’ and he ran me on his computer.”

On losing his virginity: “I was about 13 when I lost my virginity, and that first experience was totally a nervous situation. It was in a house with someone I had known only a little bit. She was slightly older, and she’d done it before … I wasn’t exactly a natural, but it was good, yeah. I had wanted it to happen for a while.”

On his romantic history: “I remember liking girls in prekindergarten in Puerto Rico, when I was only three or four. I wasn’t a 1.000 hitter or anything – I don’t think anyone is – but I had a girlfriend all through high school, so that was kind of cool.”

On monogamy: “For monogamy to happen in a relationship, it has to be organic. I don’t know what makes it organic, though.”

On filming intimate scenes with Halle Berry: “She was completely absorbed by her role, so you had to respect that. I think she was quoted as saying I was fun on the set. Maybe I wanted to relax the situation by joking around as a way to get over that. Maybe I was nervous and that was one of the ways to deflect that other tension.”

On other ways to deflect sexual tension on-set: “Take a cold shower.”

On what the after-life is like: “I don’t have any idea. I’ve got wishful thinking, though. There’s a heaven, and it’s a place where you can just…catch up. My wishful thinking doesn’t necessarily mean you have to follow a particular religion. Heaven is a place for everybody and everything. … Whatever you say about heaven or the hereafter, I say, ‘Let it rip.’”

On moving to the U.S. from Puerto Rico as a teenager: “It was tough. I was mostly on my own. I couldn’t communicate that well. I spoke mostly Spanish. I had some family around, but I also looked into myself. I began to paint.”

On the universality of sports: “Playing sports, basketball especially, was the bridge that helped keep me from becoming completely lonely. … Sports gave me a universal language. That’s the essence of sports, in a way.”

On the diversification of Hollywood: “Inevitably Hollywood has become more universal and worldly in some ways, hiring directors from different ethnic backgrounds. There are more roles than ever for ethnics. When I started out as a working actor I was always told X, Y and Z about why they didn’t hire me.”

On his favorite horror films: “My movie was Creature from the Black Lagoon. It seemed as though Wolf Man and Frankenstein were taking place more in the north country, but the Creature from the Black Lagoon could have been happening in Puerto Rico because of the heat, the water, the tropical atmosphere. I have an original poster from Creature from the Black Lagoon in my house.”

On his connection to horror films: “Now if I go to someone’s house for a party and I don’t know anyone, and they have a poster of King Kong, it makes me feel at home. It’s an opener. I’m at ease. … I was always in love with those monsters. They’re misunderstood. Why are people coming at them with torches? Why are they shooting at them?”

Fergie to Become Part-Owner of Miami Dolphins

Is it just us or does everyone in Hollywood want a piece of the Miami Dolphins franchise?

Following the footsteps of Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, and the Estefans, Black Eyed Peas’ Fergie is set to become the latest part-owner of the Miami Dolphins. NFL owners voted on Tuesday to approve the 34-year-old singer as a celebrity minority investor for the Florida-based football team.

While the Miami Dolphins haven’t finalized an official deal with Fergie yet, all she needs to do is sign some legal documents and she’ll instantly become an investor. Considering this means an extra gigantic paycheck for Fergie, we have no doubts that she’ll happily accept. However, since the Black Eyed Peas are currently touring Australia, the Miami Dolphins haven't received her signature.

Penelope Cruz Scores Sex and the City Role

As one of the most highly anticipated films for 2010, the Sex and the City sequel is a surefire hit that’ll instantly boost up anyone’s career, including a gorgeous Oscar Award-winning actress.

Penelope Cruz has recently filmed a cameo appearance for Sex and a City. While it’s confirmed that the Spanish starlet did travel to New York City, her role in the film is still unknown. Some sources state that she’ll be playing herself in a small scene on the red carpet, while others claim Cruz briefly stars as a banker who gets too close to Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Reportedly, this sexy banker may even have an affair with Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) husband. While no one from Sex and the City has come forward to clear up the rumors, we do know that Cruz was filming alongside Noth at Manhattan’s Empire Hotel.

Sex and the City is due out next summer.

Aventura Rocks the White House

For the “Fiesta Latina” bash that happened at the White House, President Barack Obama made an excellent choice in selecting bachata boy band Aventura as one of the party's feature performers of the night.

Yesterday evening, Obama celebrated the colorful Hispanic culture and music with a “Fiesta Latina,” part of a musical series started by First Lady Michelle Obama. Aventura, recognized as the top-selling Latin music group of 2009, performed at the White House’s South Lawn, an achievement that surely beats their recent success, including selling out tickets for their upcoming Madison Square Garden concert in one day. The demand was so high that a second show in New York City has been added for January 21st.

“This is a huge honor for us,” says singer Henry Santos Jeter in being chosen to perform at the White House. "We're really blessed that we're able to be a part of this...to represent a genre and a culture.”

In addition to Aventura, numerous entertainment heavyweights, including Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Los Lobos, Thalia, Pete Escovedo, Gloria Estefan, Jose Feliciano, and Shelia E. all wowed audiences. Actors Eva Longoria Parker, George Lopez, and Jimmy Smits even cracked some jokes on how Obama is a fellow Latino. However, the evening’s standing ovation went to Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic member of the Supreme Court.

If you didn’t get an invite for “Fiesta Latina,” no worries-the “In Performance at the White House: Fiesta Latina,” will be broadcast on PBS this Thursday night, follow by Sunday on Telemundo.

Fat Joe vs. 50 Cent: The Hip-Hop Feud Continues

There’s nothing like a good old hip-hop feud, and when that includes 50 Cent, it’s even better. It looks like the rapper is at it again, only this time he’s taking shots at Fat Joe through a new YouTube video he’s posted on his website, Thisis50.com. In response to the video Fat Joe actually thanked 50 for helping to promote the album, even better than his record label.

In the controversial video, 50 Cent is bandaged up and apparently “hurt,” due to listening to Fat Joe’s new record. He also splices together other videos of hilarious accidents, saying that they’re all due to Fat Joe’s record. “It’s terrible,” 50 Cent says as he acts like he’s crying. “Fat Joe’s record is the worse thing that’s ever happened to hip-hop.” We have a feeling this feud isn't over.

Jennifer Lopez Finalizes Upcoming Album

Everyone in the music industry has been buzzing about Jennifer Lopez’s highly anticipated comeback album and it’s about time that we found some new details!

People Magazine has confirmed that the title for Lopez’s sixth studio album is Love? and will be available in stores this January.

People has also confirmed that the new Neptunes produced song, titled “Fresh Out The Oven” featuring Pitbull is just a buzz track. That’s right, the leaked single will NOT appear on the new album.

The news is a bit of a shocker, considering that Pitbull and Lopez have already filmed a video for the track, which is being described as a sexier Eyes Wide Shut. Fans are also scratching her heads over her new stage name “Lola,” forever eliminating the widely recognized “J.Lo.” However, sources close to the singer are stating that fans shouldn’t worry.

“Lola is just for this song, it’s not her ongoing persona,” says a friend of Lopez. “It’s something fun. She hasn’t become Sasha Fierce (Beyonce). There won’t be anything to do with Lola on her Love? album.”

Amanda Ghost, President of Epic, also commented on the Lola situation.

“This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun,” Ghost explains. “Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song.”

Either way, we’re hoping to see whether Lopez can release a major hit in time for early 2010.

Jason Castro Embarks Free Mall Tour

It seems that many “American Idol” finalists and winners tend to become extremely popular during their 15 minutes of fame, release a one-hit-wonder, and slowly disappear from the spotlight. Fortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case for Colombian-American cutie Jason Castro.

The Atlantic recording artist and the third runner-up on the 2008 season of “American Idol” has unveiled plans for a national mall tour that will take him across the country this fall. The Jason Castro Live tour begins today, October 12th at Minneapolis’ Southdale Center and continues through mid-November. Best of all, the performances are free!

The Jason Castro Live tour will give fans a sneak peak at the singer’s upcoming debut album in the works, which will include the single “Let’s Just Fall In Love Again.” The track has already made Entertainment Weekly’s influential “Must List” and a video for the song is in post production.

Christina Aguilera Gets Personal with Women

There’s no doubt that pop superstar Christina Aguilera adores her hubby Jordan Bratman, father of their 20-month-old son Max. However, she much rather look at a naked woman.

“I think women are such sensual beings,” states the hit maker to the UK press. “And, I mean, I’m attracted to men ultimately. I’m married and I love my husband and I love what we do together, but honestly? If I had the choice between viewing a naked man or a naked woman, I’d choose the woman. We’re just naturally sexier and more beautiful to look at.”

The singer’s love for women clearly comes from her self-confidence and she clearly isn’t afraid to show it.

“I feel sexiest in the nude,” she later adds. “I love a bubble bath with my husband and a glass of wine. He has a way of making me feel sexy.”

We’re certain some of these statements don’t help deny Pink’s accusations towards Aguilera, but we have a feeling she doesn’t care-and fans love her for it.

Lin-Manuel Miranda Releases “Run This Town” Spin-Off

The national tour for hit Broadway show In The Heights is launching this month and its Tony Award-winning creator wants you to know about it pronto.

Lin Manuel Miranda, former star and composer of the popular musical, recently released a new YouTube video titled “Run This Tour,” a spin-off of Jay-Z and Rihanna’s single, “Run This Town.” Miranda’s latest video not only helps promote the upcoming national tour of In The Heights, but also stars Tony Award winner and leading lady Karen Olivo.

Shakira to Perform at MTV Latin America Awards

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the sexy Colombian singer on stage, proving to the world that her hips don’t lie. Fortunately, the long wait is over.

Shakira is scheduled to perform live at the MTV Latin America Awards on October 15th from Bogota, Colombia.

Although the live broadcast will be held on that Thursday, some of it will be prerecorded, with local awards being held in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, and Los Angeles.

Nelly Furtado and Calle 13’s Residente will host the ceremony, which will be broadcast on MTV Latin America and MTV Tr3s in the United States.

Well, if you’ve been patiently waiting to hear what the secret song sounds like, then we have good news for you. The track, which was originally titled “Lola,” is now reportedly called “Fresh Out The Oven." How do we know this? It turns out that "Fresh Out The Oven" leaked today on the web.

Oh and remember, Lopez is no longer being called “J.Lo.” For her upcoming debut, she’s Lola!

Nicole Richie Suffers from Car Accident

Celebrities, be careful when hitting the road, especially when photographers are around!

Socialite Nicole Richie was taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Monday after she was rear-ended by paparazzi.

"Ms. Richie was driving with a passenger around 2PM when she was struck by two photographers driving in one vehicle behind her," says Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police. "She complained of pain, and her passenger transported her to a local hospital. Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene."

The driver who rear-ended Richie is being arrested and booked for being unlicensed because "officers could not verify his identification," adds Lt. Lee. "He's being physically brought into the station. This will likely be a misdemeanor traffic violation, and the photographer's vehicle will be towed."

Richie's two children were not in the vehicle and reports are stating that she’s in stable condition and wanted to see her own doctor.

Mercedes Sosa Dies at 74

Argentine folk singer Mercedes Sosa, recognized as “the voice of Latin America,” died on Sunday at the age of 74. She was in the hospital for more than two weeks with liver problems. Previously, she was suffering from kidney failure and cardiac arrest.

Her remains lay in state at the National Congress, where thousands of people in Argentina lined up to pay their respects with flowers and Argentine flags.

Sosa was famous for her signature tunes, such as “Gracias a la Vida” and “Si se Calla el Cantor.” Her latest album, Cantora 1, is nominated for three Latin Grammy awards, including “Album of the Year” and “Best Folkloric Album”

Sosa was one of the few women to popularize the "nuevo cancionero" movement in music, known as the art of uniting politics with poetry in music. Many of her songs discussed stopping war, ending poverty, and discovering peace after the loss of a loved one. Sosa recorded more than 70 albums and won two Latin Grammys.

Her fellow Argentineans continue to mourn Sosa’s death and celebrate her life by playing some of her iconic tracks throughout the country.

50 Cent Surprises Fans at Wisin y Yandel Concert

If you weren’t in New York City this weekend and attended one of the most talked about concerts of the year, then read up about the surprise guest that did make it.

Ever since Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel released their massive hit album, La Revolucion, they immediately went on tour throughout the country at sold-out arenas. This past weekend, Wisin y Yandel visited New York City to perform at Manhattan's Madison Square Garden. Nothing unusual with that, right? Well, it turns out that rapper 50 Cent made a surprise appearance on stage where he performed “Ok, You’re Right,” “Mujeres En El Club,” and “Baby By Me.”

50 Cent, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the hip-hop world, previously collaborated with Wisin y Yandel and has since performed with them live. Earlier this year, he even flew to Venezuela for one of his “surprise” performances with the duo, which also included Daddy Yankee and Enrique Iglesias.

Will Jessica Alba Become a Focker?

It’s been a while since actress Jessica Alba starred in a hit film. Fortunately, her string of bad luck may be coming to an end.

Alba is currently in negotiations to join actors Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro for the highly anticipated comedy, Little Fockers. She’s set to play the role of an attractive pharmaceutical rep whose looks wreck havoc on the male characters in the story.

The film is expected to pick up where 2004’s Meet the Fockers left off. If you need to refresh your memory, Stiller’s Gaylord Focker and Teri Polo’s Pamela Byrnes want to have a baby. Rumors are already spreading that the couple may have twins.

While Alba works on getting a deal, she’s already scheduled to star in the Robert Rodriguez thriller, Machete, as well as Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day.

Production for Little Fockers will begin in the next few months, with a 2010 release date.

While this is a smart move for Alba, we’re not sure if this will increase her popularity in Hollywood.

Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan Break Off Engagement

Director Robert Rodriguez and longtime fiancé Rose McGowan have reportedly broken off their engagement.

McGowan recently filmed Rodriguez’s action flick Machete, which co-stars Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, and Robert De Niro in Texas. The actress is scheduled to star in the comic book adaptation Red Sonja and Rodriguez is set to produce the very same film. Perhaps a reconciliation isn’t out of the question considering that they’ll be working together so soon?

Reps for the couple haven’t made any comments on the separation.

McGowan and Rodriguez announced their engagement in October 2007 after becoming romantically involved in 2006 while filming Grindhouse. The movie was directed by Rodriguez and starred McGowan as a stripper with a machine-gun leg.

For a long time, many speculated that their not-so-secret relationship was the reason Rodriguez divorced Elizabeth Avellán, his wife of 16 years. However, the director later issued a statement saying that he and Avellán had separated long before the production of Grindhouse.

McGowan and Rodriguez went public with their relationship in May 2007 and have been together ever since. Rumors of an alleged breakup first surfaced when Rodriguez’s plan to star the actress in a remake of Barbarella fell through. However, McGowan soon announced to the media that she and Rodriguez were still together and very much in love.

Jai Rodriguez Joins ‘Rent’

We always wondered whatever happened to Jai Rodriguez since he starred in the hit TV series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” We knew he was around pursuing various projects, but we didn’t catch his name in headlines, at least until now.

Musical Theatre West announced that Rodriguez is joining the cast line up for the smash musical Rent, which will run between December 11-20 of this year at the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, California. Rodriguez, much like Colombian bombshell Sofia Vergara, is set to perform on stage for one of the most popular musicals in the history of theatre.

The Emmy Award-winning host and singer is very familiar with Rent. At age 18, he was cast in the role of Angel. From that point on, he continued his Broadway career in The Producers, Spinning Into Butter, and Zanna Don’t! In addition, he’s the creator of New York City’s Twisted Cabaret, a concert series that ran for three years at Club XL.

DJ Bitman Prepares Sophomore Album

Since he debut his critically acclaimed 2007 solo album Latin Bitman, Chilean mix master Bitman is returning with a sophomore album, titled Colour, that’s expected to come out on October 20th. Colour is already being described as an “infectious fusion of dub, electronica, and hip-hop with some bossa nova and turntablism thrown in for good measure." Sounds like a collection of dance anthems to us.

“For me, the album name Colour represents the central idea that this album displays a variety of colors, or musical genres,” explains Bitman, whose real name is Jose Antonio Bravo. “My goal is to take Latin music to all sorts of listeners. So there are songs sung in several languages; Spanish, English, and Portuguese.”

For his follow-up album, Bitman recruited a variety of vocalists, including MC Anita Tijoux and Francisca Valenzuela. “Each artist represents a different scene within the Santiago music world and that’s why I sought them out,” he states. “I also collaborate with these vocalists at my live shows on a regular basis. Francisca Valenzuela is a pop rock star, yet on this disc she sings some reggae-tinged songs. Anita is, in my opinion, the best hip-hop vocalist in Latin America.”

Since Latin Bitman, the DJ made his U.S. performance debut in Summer 2009 at Central Park’s SummerStage in New York City with Julieta Venegas and Plastilina Mosh. “Playing in New York City and specifically, SummerStage, was such an honor, first as a Chilean, second as a DJ,” he says. “Even though it was an open-air daytime show, the crowd was raucous and very responsive. I hope that it was just the first of many more shows to come in New York and the U.S. in general.”

We hope that with the launch of Colours, DJ Bitman will make more appearances throughout the US.

Fidel Castro Approves Juanes’ Peace Concert

Juanes’ Peace Without Borders concert in Havana has captivated millions of fans around the globe, including former Cuban President Fidel Castro, who described the event as “extraordinary.”

In one of his regular opinion columns based in Cuba, Castro states that the Cuban youth showed that “even in the midst of a brutal economic blockade unimaginable obstacles can be overcome."

Juanes and 14 other artists performed in Peace Without Borders, which impressed the ailing dictator.

"I would have liked to talk about today's concert special ... but the stubborn reality forces me to write about a danger that threatens not only peace but also the survival of our species," writes Castro.

However, Peace Without Borders has also proven to be very controversial. Anti-Castro agitators in Miami threatened to kill Juanes and his family after announcing that the concert would be held in Cuba. They believed that the Colombian rocker was being used by communist politicians. However, Juanes did state that he was nonpartisan and still went on with the successful five-hour concert.

Shakira’s ‘She Wolf’ Gets Pushed Back

Whenever an artist has their upcoming album release date pushed back, it can be assumed that the fresh material isn’t up to par for anxious listeners. That’s why we were surprised to find out that Shakira’s She Wolf isn’t coming out as soon as we had hoped.

Even though she has reached #1 on Billboard Latin with the single “La Loba,” her English version failed to crack the Hot 100’s top 10. Consequently, the album, which was supposed to debut on October 13th, is now being pushed back to November 17th. It also hasn’t helped that Shakira was caught lip synching during a recent performance for “America’s Got Talent.” However, Shakira’s production team is claiming that She Wolf was pushed back because the singer became inspired to perfect it even more.

The team, lead by boyfriend Antonio De La Rua, took to the Colombian jungle to capture new rhythms for upcoming songs. It’s being reported that they visited over 100 cultural events throughout the region to “reached the essence of our folklore” and to have “personal and memorable encounters with the masters of local music.”

Among De La Rua’s expedition was John Hill, an internationally acclaimed producer who has worked with artists, such as Santogold, Natasha Bedingfield, and Yoko Ono. It’s being said that the production team ended the tour with plenty of musical material that consists of salsa, Pacific currulao, vallenato, and other Colombian folk genres.

While it isn’t certain whether the new material will ultimately appear on She Wolf, sources do claim that Shakira hopes to generate new music soon.

Freddie Prinze Jr. Welcomes Baby Girl

Actors Freddie Prinze Jr. and wife Sarah Michelle are officially parents.

According to Michelle’s rep, the couple welcomed their daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze on Saturday. “The family is over the moon,” she exclaims.

This is the first child for Prize and Michelle, and unlike most celebrities, they actually gave their new bundle of joy a normal, pretty name!

Prinze won’t be staying home for long to change diapers. He’s scheduled to star on the upcoming season of “24.”

Aventura to Perform at the White House for Obama

U.S. President Barack Obama clearly loves Latinos. Recently, he celebrated Marc Anthony’s birthday with Jennifer Lopez and now, he’s going to bring in one of the most popular and influential Latin bands to entertain the masses.

Bachata group Aventura has been selected to perform at the White House for Obama and fortunately for us, they accepted the rare invite. PBS will air the performance on October 15th, providing fans access to witnessing the highly anticipated concert. Look out for Obama and the First Lady hitting the dance floor and showing the other congressmen how it’s really done.

Nelly Furtado Reunites with Timbaland

Although Nelly Furtado is topping charts with her first Spanish album, Mi Plan, the Canadian diva hasn’t forgotten about her English-speaking fans.

The “Promiscuous” singer has reunited with longtime collaborator Timbaland for her next English album.

While promoting Mi Plan, Furtado announced that she has gone back to the studio with Timbaland to record her follow-up album to 2006’s multi-platinum Loose.

“Timbaland and I hooked up over spring break and we wrote about 10 songs together,” she says. “We had a blast.”

It’s been three years since Timbaland and Furtado have worked together, but she assures fans that the chemistry still exists between them. “We love each other so much. We fight sometimes, but we really always come back to that special musical friendship that we have.”

For those wanting add some spice to their playlist, Mi Plan is available now. Furtado’s fourth English album is expected to be released in 2010.

Juan Gabriel Earns 2009 Latin Academy Person of the Year Award

The Latin Grammy Awards is officially happening on Wednesday, November 4th in Las Vegas and one legendary Latin artist is already set to receive a very special award.

International renowned singer/songwriter Juan Gabriel will be honored as the 2009 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year. Gabriel, chosen for his musical and philanthropic accomplishments, will be recognized at the star-studded event and black-tie dinner at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay.

The “Celebration with Juan Gabriel” gala will be one of the most prestigious events held during the 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards Ceremony. The awards will be broadcast live on the Univision Television Network at 8PM EST.

During his 30-year career, Gabriel has sold more than 100 million albums and has performed to sold-out audiences throughout the world. In addition, he has produced more than 100 albums for over 50 artists, as well as written at least 1,500 songs. He will be joining other artists, including Gloria Estefan, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Ricky Martin, and Carlos Santana who’ve previously been honored as Person of the Year.

Barack Obama Celebrates Marc Anthony’s Birthday

Celebrities, birthdays, and Presidents all seem to make quite a combination. To this day, people continue to comment on how blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe sung “Happy Birthday” to then-President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Who would have imagined that an African-American President would serenade “Happy Birthday” to a Puerto Rican salsa singer 47 years later?

This past Wednesday, Marc Anthony had “Happy Birthday” sung to him not by his wife Jennifer Lopez, but instead by President Barack Obama. The singer, who turned 41, was in Washington D.C. with Lopez for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s Awards Gala, which the US leader also attended.

Obama reportedly convinced a group of politicians to sing to Anthony backstage at the gala. The President also teased the salsero about his sex-symbol status, stating that Chairwoman Nydia Velazquez thought he was hot. Obama is quoted as saying, “I’m telling you J.Lo, watch out!”

Anthony and Lopez celebrated his birthday at the W Hotel’s P.O.V. Lounge where guests included agent Benny Medina, as well as Miami Dolphins coach Wayne Huizenga. While we do know that the singer was given a five-tier chocolate cake, other further details are still kept hush-hush.

Joanna Garcia Hosts Fashion Show in NYC

Last night "Gossip Girl’s" Joanna Garcia hosted Gen Art’s 15th Anniversary “Fresh Faces in Fashion” show at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Garcia provided exactly what the show was looking for, a fresh face in stylish clothes. The rising star was wearing Vicente Villarin, who just happened to be one of the featured designers. The show showcased the debuts of 7 emerging womenswear and menswear designers.

As fashion shows are usually known for celeb-sightings, MTV’s “Downtown Girls” were also at the scene in their finest attire. Later in the night, the girls, along with plenty others headed to Pranna for the after party.

What is New York Fashion Week really all about?

For the last week New York has been invaded by even more celebrities than usual in honor of Fashion Week. Streets were closed off and events were planned around these special sightings. For stars like Lindsay Lohan, Keira Knightley, and Victoria Beckham had front row seats for most of the shows. Jennifer Lopez showed her face at the Marc Jacobs show and Jessica Alba made an appearance at Narciso Rodriguez. Instead of sitting front row, "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen took the stage during Teen Vogue Fashion’s Night Out fashion show in a racy ensemble inspired by the movie Risky Business.

Then of course there are the stars that actually have fashion lines being featured at the shows. Gwen Stefani teamed up with Vogue empress, Anna Wintour, at Bloomingdale’s Fashion Night Out. Earlier in the day Gwen was showing off her styling’s at the L.A.M.B. fashion show.

Nominations for the 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were announced today at a press conference held in Los Angeles’ Conga Room. Luis Fonsi, Jimmy Smits, Tito El Bambino, and many other stars revealed those who were nominated. Calle 13 leads the pack with five nominations, whereas Wisin y Yandel and Gilberto Santa Rosa earned three nods.

Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull Unite for Collaboration

We’ve been patiently waiting for Jennifer Lopez’s highly talked about comeback and for her major debut, she’s getting only the best. After the singer attended the VMAs on Sunday night, she hung out at New York City’s Waverly Inn with Cuban hip hop star Pitbull. However, this wasn’t your typical dinner date.

Apparently, the two were taking a break after working together on a new track! That’s right, J. Lo has teamed up with Pitbull on a new single titled “Lola,” which also happens to be hubby Marc Anthony’s nickname for her. The song is being produced by Pharrell Williams who just finished working with Madonna. "Lola" is scheduled to appear in her upcoming studio album, which is due for release in January 2010.

According to Pitbull, he and Lopez also finished filming a music video for "Lola." He describes it as “an upscale Eyes Wide Shut…where my role is being taken advantage by these beautiful women who are, like, massaging me.” When asked if Lopez just happens to be one of these seductive vixens, he quickly shouts, “No!...You’re gonna get me in trouble with Marc!”

If you’ve seen the film Eyes Wide Shut starring former married couple Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, then you know this music video is going to be nothing short of scandalous and sexy. We can only imagine what Anthony has to say about this.

Diddy Confronts Cop Following MTV's VMAs

Although celebrities look their best while in their seats at the VMA’s, in reality they’re probably dying to get out of there and hit up the many afterparties that ensue. One hip-hop star that quickly took to the club was Diddy, however, upon arrival to 10ak he had a little confrontation with a cop who definitely got in his ear. Diddy wasn’t too pleased with the police officer who was loudly directing traffic, then asked to rapper to move along. Diddy being Diddy, lashed out at him and called the guy a “motherf**ker,” prompting the officer to get right in the rap moguls face.

Christina Milian is Pregnant

Ever since Cubanita Christina Milian had her shotgun wedding with fiancé The Dream, many fans have speculated whether there was more to the quickie marriage than just saving money on a wedding planner. However, sources have confirmed that the 27-year-old singer is pregnant!

Just days after the couple’s early September nuptials at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Milian announced the baby news. “The pregnancy was a surprise, but they were getting married regardless,” says one source.

Funny enough, both Milian and The Dream both recently commented on how much they were looking forward to starting a family of their own. So much for waiting!

Latinos and the VMAs: A Fashion Recap

The biggest event to happen this weekend was the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. While everyone can’t stop talking about hip hop star Kanye West ruining country starlet Taylor Swift’s moment, we couldn’t help, but take notice at what our fellow Latinos were wearing for the big night.

Adrienne Bailon wasn’t shy with her couture choice. Yellow may not be the ideal color to rock at any red carpet event, but the Cheetah Girl glowed with a soft yellow dress with a touch of hot pink that surprisingly, didn’t look bad. She even went for rosy pink lips, a popular hue during New York Fashion Week. Sadly, she could have looked more sexy if it weren’t for those questionable boots.

Thankfully for us normal folks, even supermodels can look hideous. Just ask Brazilian bombshell Alessandra Ambrosio. The only thing that bombed on the red carpet was her loose fitting cowgirl attire. She’s a Victoria’s Secret angel and that’s what she wore?! Tsk, tsk.

We still don’t know that to make of Cassie’s look for the night. Her dress was too busy and her fug blue shoes did nothing, but make her a fashion catastrophe. What a shame, considering that her femme Mohawk actually suited her frame.

Cubana Jamie Lynn Sigler was pretty in pink with a hot number that shows off a cinched waist and plenty of curves. You know she’s doing something good when this former “Sopranos” girl can make a supermodel look bad.

John Leguizamo, did you look at the mirror before jumping into the limo? Not only do we see a receding hairline, but your zipped sweatshirt wannabe shirt just doesn’t do much for the crisp, gray suit you’re wearing. No wonder you weren't smiling, we wouldn’t either.

Some hated Jennifer Lopez’s dress, but it made us believe that she's indeed ready for a comeback, even if it means bringing a little bit of the 90's back. If anything, it gives hope to all women that you can give birth to twins and still look gorgeous. The leopard shoes could have been left behind, but we believe her too-tight bun may have something to do with her lack of common sense. Hubby Marc Anthony wasn’t looking too shabby, except those distressed jeans just draw too much attention. At least one wasn’t outshining the other in the looks department.

While black tends to be a boring choice for any major event, Nelly Furtado glammed up her gown with plenty of sequins and glitter. The Mary Janes were absolutely perfect. We love!

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton never fails to look, well unique! Our only complaint? Not enough waxing! He must have thought the same thing or he wouldn't be hiding his chest hair with those dishwashing gloves. Kudos for being yourself!

Looks like a stylist is going to get fired! Pop stars Pink and Shakira were wearing the exact same dress...what horror! At least they managed to have a fake laugh about it.

We weren’t expecting Pitbull to fail us in the looks department and fortunately, he didn’t. The Cuban rapper displayed plenty of class and sophistication with his formal suit and tie. Fellas, take note!
