Destaque: Phosporecent - To Willie [Dead Oceans , 2009]

Quando em 1977 Willie Nelson editou To Lefty From Willie, era já um dos maiores nomes do country da sua era e era certo que por muitas mais seria uma referência incontornável, da musica mundial. Phosporecent não tem o estatudo de Willie e provávelmente nunca terá, e embora neste To Willie se encontre referências obvias ao disco de Nelson ( a começar pela capa ), o que importa destacar é a profunda admiração e a maneira sublime como Matthew Houck não tropeça na tarefa que é interpretar temas que por Willie Nelson foram imortalisados, acrescentando-lhes um pouco de caracteristicas suas. A escolha dos temas prima também por ser inteligente, visitando também musicas não escritas por Nelson, mas que são habituais de concertos seus, tornando uma possivel compilação destes temas cantados pelo próprio homenageado, um greatest hits indispensável.

As comparações da voz de Ian Felice com a voz de Bob Dylan são inevitáveis, e se Dylan revolucionou a musica do sec. XX os Felice Brothers vão no bom caminho para mudarem...o seu mundo.
Yonder is the clock é um passo em direção à maturidade.
Seguem os passos dos The Band e os deixados pelo próprio Dylan em John Westley Harding, e se o album de Dylan criou o country rock, Yonder is the Clock pode muito bem salvá-lo.
