NMK Podcast - Episode 14 - Aprico

Aprico provides a service which accesses video from TV programming, on-demand services, podcasts and the Internet, and allows users to create personal channels based on their own interests. As well as tailoring entertainment and information content, APRICO also targets advertising and branded video to the channels its users create, so only adverts relevant to the viewer are seen by them.

Dvorak was a panellist on NMK’s recent “What happens to TV?” debate and we caught up with him to talk about TV advertising, content and targeting.

Get to the Audio

Download/Play just this episode using your MP3 player:

Aprico

or subscribe to the feed to have our podcasts delivered to iTunes or your feed reader of choice whenever they are published:

The Podcast Feed (RSS)

iTunes Store Link (free)

Bletchley Park near Milton Keynes in southern England holds a special place in the history of computing. It’s here that code breakers cracked the infamous Enigma code during World War II, a feat US President Eisenhower credited with shortening the war by two years, potentially saving 22 million lives in the process. Also, the first programmable computer – Colossus – was developed here. The grounds at Bletchley Park now include a museum and conferencing facilities, but the site has struggled to raise sufficient funds to keep going.

Get to the Audio

Download/Play just this episode using your MP3 player:

podcast9

or subscribe to the feed to have our podcasts delivered to iTunes or your feed reader of choice whenever they are published:

The Podcast Feed (RSS)

iTunes Store Link (free)
