Next week we will host another Books, Beauty & Banter in Houston. This time around we will focus on Why We Love Black Books in celebration of Black History Month AND our love of African-American authors and African-American books.

We have clients coming in from Georgia, Louisiana, and several cities in Texas. As a group, we get together shoot the breeze, discuss upcoming events and promotions–basically we have fun and handle business. This time around we thought we’d open it to other authors.

Books, Beauty and Banter: Why We Love Black Books

Grab a friend, get away from the “real world” for a few hours and dive into a good book. In celebration of Black History month, and to satisfy your burning questions, we are having a round table discussion with a few of our past features. We’ll also have a few new faces reading excerpts.

We’ll have food, laughs, giveaways, and fun. Seats are limited.

Authors scheduled to appear: Jean Holloway, TL James, DeiIra Smith-Collard, Darine Davis, and Ja’Nese Dixon. They will have books available for purchase.

DJP Learning Center: Learning Made Easy

We’re excited to announce the launch of our online learning center — DJP Learning Center.

Over the past two years we have recorded many interviews and hosted several virtual conferences. We decided a few months ago that we wanted to create a place where our visitors could easily view our interviews.

The learning center will offer the audio from our past interviews and much more. Students will have the ability to download the audio recordings and many of the courses include original content (that is, handouts, exercises, ebooks).

We invite you to stop through and check it out. Enroll for one of the courses and tell us what you think.

We look forward to adding many more classes in the future (hopefully with your help).
