Lego Robotics Team Wins State Championship!

This past weekend the I-Robotics team from the Robinson Community Learning Center was honored as the top FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Lego League Robotics team in the state of Indiana. Competing with 52 teams from all corners of the state, I-Robotics was chosen as number one in the combined areas of Research Project, Robot Design, and exemplifying the Core Values of FIRST Lego League.
"Fight Like a Champion" to Benefit RCLC

Former ND student, and unbeaten boxer, Mike Lee is having his next bout on Sept. 16.

The event, dubbed “Fight Like A Champion,” will be held on Notre Dame’s campus at the Purcell Pavilion Joyce Center, with all proceeds to benefit the Robinson Community Learning Center and the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation.

“I knew that no matter who I wanted to donate to, it’d be kids-related and help out kids in the South Bend community and neighboring communities,” Lee said at a press conference Tuesday.

“I’ve had friends who have tutored there (at the Robinson Center) and everyone in the Notre Dame community is very familiar with how well the center has done. I felt that was kind of a no-brainer and I’m just really happy to be involved in that.”
