&lt;p&gt;I was surprised &lt;a href="http://www.wgr550.com/Mair-Placed-on-Waivers/5634044"&gt;when the news came down that Adam Mair was placed on waivers&lt;/a&gt;. Frankly, I like players like Mair&amp;#8230;gritty&amp;#8230;work hard&amp;#8230;etc&amp;#8230;not the most talented player around, but what he lacks in talent he makes up in effort.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
