Danowski, who saw action in nine regular season games for the Mammoth last year, was the seventh overall pick in the 2008 Entry Draft after completing an illustrious collegiate career with the Duke Blue Devils that ended with him holding the all-time Division I points lead (353). He was also a four-time All-American at Duke. After a tightly contested first half, Calgary scored twice in the final 30 seconds of the second quarter to take a 6-4 halftime lead.
