<description>The New York Titans acquired Farmingdale native Matt Danowski in a trade with the Colorado Mammoth. Danowski, who saw action in nine regular season games for the Mammoth last year, was the seventh overall pick in the 2008 Entry Draft after completing an illustrious collegiate career with the Duke Blue Devils that ended with him holding the all-time Division I points lead (353). He was also a four-time All-American at Duke. The Titans also recently acquired forward Matt Brown, in last week's dispersal draft.</description>

<description>The Calgary Roughnecks capped a stellar season by topping the New York Titans, 12-10, in front of 13,042 fans at Pengrowth Saddledome, to win their second NLL Championship in franchise history. After a tightly contested first half, Calgary scored twice in the final 30 seconds of the second quarter to take a 6-4 halftime lead. Josh Sanderson scored with 30 seconds left, before Kaleb Toth's buzzer-beater from the point-line put the Roughnecks up by two at the break.</description>

<description>The New York Titans clinched their first ever East Division National Lacrosse League (NLL) Championship Saturday night with a decisive 9-3 win over the defending 2008 NLL Champion Buffalo Bandits at the Prudential Center.  The Titans will take on the Calgary Roughnecks in the Championship Game next Friday, May 15 at 9:30 pm Eastern. Goalie Matt Vinc had an incredible game between the pipes shutting down the usually high scoring Bandits offense making 41 saves on 44 shots on goal.</description>

The New York Titans defeated the Minnesota Swarm 12-10 on Saturday night at Xcel Energy Center. The win combined with Buffalo's loss to Boston creates a three-way tie between Buffalo, New York and Boston at 10-6. By virtue of having the best combined head-to-head record of the three teams (a combined 4-1 vs. Boston and Buffalo during the regular sason), New York wins the tiebreakers and wins the East Division regular season title</description>
