A finite group of people who are traded like cattle from one company to another every 9 to 12 months.

They were once called junkies, but the infection has spread to people above that description.

Network Marketing has become obsessed with “timing”, “pre-launches”, and “the next big thing”, but the cause behind that obsession is what truly scares me. I’ll explain why shortly, but all you need to realize is that…

Pandora’s Box has been opened and we will never be able to close it.

Why? What’s causing this gruesome condition?

The Answer Is Simple…

The number of new people coming into MLM each year is now drastically out of proportion with the number of new company start ups.

Thousands of new MLM’s launch every year thanks to the internet. You can literally start your own company from your bedroom if you want.

But there are only so many people to go around.

Welcome to the world of the Pre-Launch. A company’s only chance to catch the attention of networkers, and steer them away from their current opportunity with the promise of “getting in on the ground floor.”

Before you know it, the game has started AGAIN. This time around a company that promises to be the biggest and best with their new patented Wonder Vitamin 2000 that will change the world.

Networkers inevitably flock to it by the ten’s of thousands trying to “get in on top”.

And if they don’t, it doesn’t matter because another shiny new MLM will launch in about 9-12 months, and when it does, and the music stops, the people at the bottom scramble to find their seat in the chain, destroying their old company from the bottom up in the process.

This has resulted in a vicious cat fight between these companies over a dwindling supply of warm bodies, complete with name calling, back-stabbing, and an endless supply of lawsuits.

Make no mistake about it… In network marketing, people are the commodity that is traded, and YOU are very valuable.

The “B-Zone” is Gone and
Took Your Residual Income With It!

Before the internet, organizations and companies were protected by an information buffer zone which shielded them from this onslaught of people, opinions, competitors, and ads.

It’s this buffer zone that allowed relationships to be built, skills to be learned, and loyalties to strengthened.

But the internet destroyed it in the blink of an eye.

It happens all the time...

You're sitting pretty on top of a fairly large organization. You think you've finally found that "residual" pot of income gold at the end of the rainbow.

You're making about $20,000 a month. You quit your job 5 months ago, bought a new house, that new sports car you've always wanted, and paid off all your debt.

Life is good...

Then one day, the company changes their compensation plan just a little bit.

One of your leaders is NOT happy about it. They decide to move to another company, and with one click of a mouse... With one single email to his list of a few thousand recipients upline, downline and side-line... He basically destroys dozens of people's businesses, cutting their checks in half or even worse... Including yours.

The income you're relying on to pay the mortgage, invest for retirement, and put your kids through school literally vanishes overnight.

If something similar to this scenario hasn't happened to you yet... It will.

It's a sobering thought when you realize that your lively-hood in an MLM business is completely dependent upon strangers you've never met.

You don't know their long-term plans. You don't know about their family problems, and you don't know what they'll do next, yet your check is dependent upon them and thousands of others just like them because you simply cannot earn a full-time living on your own personal efforts with an MLM compensation plan. It's not designed for that.

This wasn't a problem in the past, but it is today.

You see, the internet is a tool that allows communication at a level that has never been seen by the world before, where opinions, rumors, promotions, and advertisements can now spread across the globe faster than you can blink your eye.

Massive revenues can be gained or lost in days for a company with nothing more than a well placed negative opinion report on the search engines.

Downlines can be destroyed overnight by false rumors or leaders who jump ship.

Distributors have instant access to an endless supply of tools, systems, leaders, training, opinions, and sales pitches which continuously plant seeds of doubt, and distract them with promises of better, faster, and easier.

Competing ads can be flaunted on the very door-step of a company’s search engine results.

And There’s Nothing You Can Do About It.

The very moment your new distributor feels frustration… Feels trapped… Feels failure… He or she will instantly open up to the endless supply of alternatives filling their inboxes on a daily basis with the very thing that will cure their pain – and ‘poof’, they are gone.

There is no long-term commitment because networkers are only as loyal as his or her options, and thanks to the internet, their options are now endless and one click away.

If you’re a leader in the industry, you know exactly what I’m talking about and from this point forward, it’s never going to stop.

For better or worse, this is the new reality of network marketing.

How The Game Is Played Today:

The first and most critical observation to note is that the very economics of MLM are changing. The cost of sponsoring a new rep in the cold market continues to spiral upward, while the actual return and “life time value” of that rep continues to decline.

We are faced with the fact that…

  *

Full page ads in an industry magazine that cost $500 eight years ago, now costs $3,000.

  *

Email marketing is dead, and the ability to advertise in a massive, targeted, and affordable way died with it.

  *

You will be forced to recruit everyday for the lifespan of your business just to combat the constant attrition that will plague your organization.

  *

The all important practice of retailing has become taboo, putting 90%+ of the focus and attention of the business on recruiting instead of customer acquisition which is where the long-term, stable money is found.

  *

The industry holds less and less appeal to the white collar business professional who has a hard time seeing how he/she’s going to quickly replace a six-figure income peddling vitamins and fruit juice.

  *

Systematic team training has become next to impossible as new systems pop up from different leaders within the same company every 30 days, which promise to be the answer for the struggling newbie.

  *

Instead of focusing on the development of personal skills and a single system, an “I’ll try this for a few weeks”, lottery mentality for lead sources, websites, and magical tools that will “build the business for you”, has taken over.

Forget Your Competition

It is really important to think about your competitors when developing strategy and trying to develop a unique differentiated position for your products and services.

But when you’re selling – actually communicating with customers – thinking about your competitors, or even your differentiators, can be a huge mistake.

What customers are primarily interested in, of course, is what you can do for them: the end results or benefits they get.

But when you think about your competitors your focus turns instead to yourself and what you do – and how it’s different from what they do. Your communication begins to move away from being customer-focused, to being seller or product-focused.

In fact, in the majority of cases, the best way to differentiate yourself is not to think about your competitors; but instead to focus purely on the value you bring to your customer.

If you can really understand that value – and communicate it clearly to your customer – then 9 times out of 10 you’ll be the only one doing so. And that in itself will be a huge differentiator.<fieldset class="zemanta-related"><legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles by Zemanta</legend>

How To Become An Effective Salesperson: 3 Helpful Tips To Explode Your Saleshow to become an effective person, sales negotiation training, sales negotiation skills, how to be a good salesman (slideshare.net)

Customers Are Like Vampires (cathystucker.com)

Differentiating Your Company In The Marketplace (slideshare.net)

</fieldset>

Do you realize that you're living at a time of incredible change and opportunity?

Change always brings opportunity and the Internet is responsible for some of the most incredible changes in the history of mankind.

Perhaps you've heard the 21st Century referred to as "The Information Age". Information has always played an important role in human history, so why is it that information is just now moving to center stage?

Two reasons... computers and the Internet.

A computer is a powerful tool used to process information. If you unplug your computer from the Internet, you can still use it as a word processor, as a calculator, and to perform certain other programmable functions such as to balancing your checkbook or cataloging your collection of baseball cards.

But when you connect your computer to the Internet, it becomes something very different.

Just as your computer is a powerful tool used to process information, you can think of the Internet as the world's MOST powerful tool to gather, organize, archive, and distribute information.

The Internet... and the language of the Internet... enable millions upon millions of computers to instantly communicate with each other without regard for such physical barriers as mountain ranges, oceans, or vast distances.

That means that people can communicate freely without regard for barriers of time and space.

The exact same technology that's fueling globalization is opening doors for you that you may not even be aware of yet.

To fully understand that potential, you must first realize that while the power of the Internet comes from its ability to connect people and manage information, the value of the Internet... the potential of the Internet... comes from the sheer number of people connected to the Internet.

If the Internet was limited to just you and your neighbor, there wouldn't be much value in it, would there? But with over a billion people connected to the Internet, it becomes VERY valuable.

Not only that, but it's growing faster than anything in the history of mankind. Recent studies indicate that the Internet is growing at the rate of 7 new users every second!

So... you have the most powerful tool ever invented and you can use that amazingly powerful new tool to communicate and share information with over a billion people all around the world.

The question is, what will you do with it?
Network Marketing.
Whether you call it Network Marketing, MLM, or Direct Sales, a business model that allows a person to start and run a business from home with very little start-up cost, virtually no risk whatsoever, and huge income potential is just what you and millions of other people need... now and in the coming years.
In one form or another, Network Marketing has been around for over 60 years. It's withstood court challenges, charlatans, legitimate business failures, media bias, and the test of time... to emerge as what could be the ONLY remaining option for the average person to own , operate, build, and succeed in a business of his or her own.
For the vast majority of people, traditional "brick and mortar" businesses are simply out of reach. Most people are not in a position to sign over their house as collateral so they can borrow tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy or open a business... and then walk away from a career and a retirement to work 20-hour days in a business that may or may not succeed.
Network Marketing eliminates all the risks and pitfalls associated with traditional businesses.
To start a Network Marketing business, you don't need a huge business loan, so you don't have to risk losing your home.
You can keep your "day job" and build your business in your spare time.
Through sponsoring, you can leverage the time, efforts, and energies of many other people to grow your business without the headaches and expense of hiring employees.
Because you're able to keep your expenses very low and not give up your primary income, any additional income from your Network Marketing business can be used to pay off debts, fund special savings accounts (such as for education or retirement), or re-invest to make your business grow even faster.
These are just a few of the many reasons why Network Marketing has become so popular with so many people just in the past few years.
And as Network Marketing becomes more popular among consumers, it also becomes more popular with manufacturers. If you still associate Network Marketing with little-known companies that only sell household cleaners, vitamins, and make-up, you're in for a big surprise. Today hundreds of major companies utilize the Network Marketing business model to market many or even all of their products.
In fact, if we were to look at the Network Marketing trend it wouldn't be unreasonable to predict a time in the not too distant future when dollars are taken from advertising and instead funneled into pay plans designed to lure Network Marketers and their groups to use and promote products as diverse as groceries, home mortgages, insurance, travel, medicines, and many other products.
How would you like to get paid a small percentage every time anyone in your group of thousands buys groceries, makes a house or insurance payment, takes a vacation, fills a prescription, or makes some other normal, everyday purchase?

But wait! Isn't Network Marketing basically a "flawed system"? Isn't it true that throughout the history of Network Marketing over 95% of the people who tried to build a successful business have failed? Why would we think that Network Marketing could achieve such success in the coming years when it has done so poorly in the past?
Here's the one-word answer... Internet.
Compare Network Marketing BEFORE the Internet to what Network Marketing is TODAY...

Before the Internet Today
People had to be able to sell.
Most people hate to sell. The website does the selling.
People had to do the presentation.
Most people hate speaking in public. The website does the presentation.
People had to get a babysitter ($$) and physically go ($$) to another person's home to present the business or to sell the products. Nobody has to go anywhere.
Because of the time and money it took to travel to people's homes, most people were limited to promoting their business close to where they live. The website is available to anyone anywhere in the world.
That usually meant talking to their friends, relatives, co-workers, and acquaintances... and that usually meant rejection. Zero rejection. People either like what they see or leave the website.
Once they got past their friends, relatives, co-workers, and acquaintances... people had to learn how to approach strangers.
Most people hate talking to strangers. Nobody has to talk to anyone.
People had to spend time delivering products that had been shipped to their home and stored in their garage. Products are delivered instantly over the Internet.
People who lived in a small town might reasonably feel that everyone in their town had already decided whether or not to participate in that business... local saturation. No matter where a person lives, he can still put his website in front of millions of people around the world.
Training was generally done in person... meaning more time and money spent, and more public speaking. Training is done entirely online.
The only time a person's business could grow is when he was talking with someone about his business or product. The website works to build your business 24/7, whether you're sleeping, at work, or relaxing with your family.
On and on it goes. The Internet has completely eliminated everything about Network Marketing that people found distasteful, uncomfortable, inconvenient, costly, or limiting.
Not only that, but since everyone has access to the exact same website, the newest Member can be as effective in recruiting as a seasoned Member... practically right out of the gate!
As you look at it, you might be tempted to ask yourself, "Could Network Marketing over the Internet be the ideal business model?"
And the answer to that is a resounding YES!!!
Unless you're already wealthy, Network Marketing over the Internet is and will continue to be the BEST... and probably the ONLY... way to protect yourself and your family from a life of poverty in the future.

While the two are often seen implemented within the same company business plan, they need not be and in many cases one is used without the other.

It is possible confusion arises from the hierarchical structure created in a multi-level system: because of its nature, the system itself results in the formulation of a tree networkstructure of the company; it is a description of the nature of the strategy used to market the company products. In other words, the "network" adjective is not referring to any company-related attributes; it refers to how the marketing itself takes place: through the social networks of individuals. Put yet another way, network marketing is not marketing which necessarily creates a network within a company, it is marketing that is performed through the social networks of independent people. within the scope of the company. The term "network marketing" however is not in reference to the

Multi-level marketing

Main article: Multi-level marketing

<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Multi-level_marketing_tree_diagram.png" class="image" title="A typical MLM binary tree structure. In such a company independent sales representatives (individuals who market company products) are contracted by the company in what is more or less a subcontractor position (however the company usually has no general contract with any client). Because of such a relationship, the sales reps are not employees of the company, they are independent from it. (An example of this in the United States would be in any situation in which IRS Form 1099 is used.)

What makes a structure qualify for the term "multi-level marketing" is the specification in the contract between the company and the representatives that the representatives will receive compensation (also called commission) for their own personally generated sales of company products as well as for sales of other promoters they introduced to the company. This ability to receive constant remuneration from the efforts of others creates an incentive for the representatives to personally recruit teams of other sales representatives (who will ideally do the same), thus creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy consisting multiple levels

The requirements for earning the ability to receive such compensation can differ widely between companies and are specified in each company's compensation plan document.multi-level structure the company utilizes. In other words, there are many different ways to set up the structure and specify how individuals are compensated from downlines, but the principle stays the same: an individual can receive renumeration from the efforts of those he recruited (and those recruited by his recruits, carried out to a specified level). These specifics of requirements needed to receive different kinds of compensation and exactly what the compensation amounts are are essentially what determines the type of pay plan is involved.

The Association's mission is "To protect, serve and promote the effectiveness of member companies and the independent business people they represent. To ensure that the marketing by member companies of products and/or the direct sales opportunity is conducted with the highest level of business ethics and service to consumers."

The cornerstone of the Association's commitment to ethical business practices and consumer service is its Code of Ethics. Every member company pledges to abide by the Code's standards and procedures as a condition of admission and continuing membership in the Association.

These products and services are marketed to customers by independent salespeople. Depending on the company, the salespeople may be called distributors, representatives, consultants or various other titles. Products are sold primarily through in-home product demonstrations, parties and one-on-one selling.

DSA's 2000 Direct Selling Public Attitude Tracking Survey, conducted by Burke Marketing Research, assessed public attitudes toward the direct selling industry. This study updates the findings of an earlier DSA study conducted by Wirthlin Worldwide (1997). Data from both surveys indicate that direct selling remains a vibrant marketing method that engenders considerable loyalty among its representatives and customers. Recent marketing innovations such as use of the Internet and mall kiosks, while less prevalent than traditional direct selling approaches, are gradually increasing in importance. Some particular points of interest include:

The direct selling industry has touched a majority of adult Americans.

•The direct selling industry has touched a majority of adult Americans: In 2000, 55 percent of American adults reported having, at some time, purchased goods or services from a direct selling representative. This represents a slight increase over the Wirthlin figures.
•In the 2000 survey, one in five American adults (20%) reported they are now (6%) or have been (14%) a direct selling representative.
•Among direct selling customers, three out of four (77%) have attended an in-home demonstration or party.

The market potential for direct selling.

•Thirty-eight percent of adult Americans surveyed in 2000 have some interest in purchasing a product or service in the future via direct selling, but only 27 percent had actually made a direct selling purchase in the past year. Both figures are about the same as in the earlier survey (Wirthlin Worldwide, 1997).
•With public interest in purchasing through direct selling (38%) exceeding those who have purchased (27%), these recent figures suggest there is an opportunity for growth!

Are America's shopping patterns changing?

•As reported in 2000, the 55 percent of American adults who have ever purchased by direct selling is exceeded only by the percentage of those who have ever purchased via retail stores (96%) or through mail order catalogs (83%).
•The percentage of American adults who are somewhat, very or extremely interested in using the Internet as a method of purchasing products and services in the future has increased from the 30 percent of American adults reported in the 1997 survey to the 50 percent reported in 2000.<fieldset class="zemanta-related"><legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles by Zemanta</legend>

How to Use Market Research in a Recession (blogs.harvardbusiness.org)

Let's Make a Deal: Haggle for Anything (abcnews.go.com)

</fieldset>

No two companies are exactly alike, so know what you are looking for when making your selection.

1. Direct delivery to your customers. Make sure you will not have to deliver products to your customers, unless you want to. Direct delivery will save you time and money.

2. No inventory requirements. Join a company that does not require you to keep boxes and boxes of inventory in your garage or home. You will be expected to purchase and use the products, and that only makes sense. You should be your own best customer. However, you don't want to end up with a garage-full of inventory that you are unable to sell.

3. Free online ordering. Your customers should be able to order directly from your online store, and the only cost should be shipping and taxes. People appreciate the convenience of being able to order from the comfort of their own homes, any time of the day or night.

4. Support from your upline. Your upline should be available to help you. If you make money, they make money. It is always in their best interest to help you along the way. If your sponsor does not help you, go up the line until you find help. This is not usually a problem because everyone knows that if their team members do well, it helps them, too.

5. Low-priced membership. Joining a network marketing company should not break the bank. There are many companies you can join for under $100. If the membership fee is high, it could mean the products are over-priced, too. Fair prices draw team members and customers.

6. No sponsoring requirements. Network marketing companies who set sponsoring requirements have a hard time keeping associates. No one can be forced to join, so sponsoring can be sporadic.

7. No sales quotas. Consultants should not be forced to meet sales quotas. This puts pressure on people and no one wants to join a business that brings on stress. You should be able to work your business in your own time and at your own pace.

Consider these tips when searching for a network marketing company to join. Don't get yourself into something you will not enjoy because you can't keep up with the requirements.

ReputationDefender Identity Management

Did you know: Most hiring managers and HR departments use search engines to research applicants? Men and women Google each other when they first begin dating? Colleagues at your company and companies you partner with look for information about you on Google and use that information to make judgements upon you? Most individuals don't realize this is the reality. At ReputationDefender, we help individuals find everything about themselves online and help them manage that information

If you're trying to become successful by promoting more than one program, you're working against yourself.

Why? Because you only have a certain amount of time, energy, and money that you can commit to promoting any program or business. These are your "advertising resources", and they're limited.

That means if you're splitting your advertising resources by advertising two different programs, the results for each of those programs will be reduced by half.

That would be like opening a restaurant... but closing for two weeks every month. What would your chances be for success if you did that?

About zero.

And it gets worse if you're advertising more programs!

If you're advertising three programs, each program will have only 33% of your advertising resources... and lose the other 67%. That's a 67% reduction in new customers, sign-ups, affiliates, or whatever you're trying to achieve in that program.

That's like having your restaurant open just ten days a month!

It's hard to imagine, but I've seen some people trying to build four or five or even six different programs at once! They were desperately trying everything they could think of... but nothing was working. They were falling farther and farther behind in monthly fees for all those programs... and they were all failing.

But wait a minute! All the experts and gurus say that you need "multiple streams of income" to be successful! They say that you shouldn't count on just one program or just one business in case it goes under. Isn't that good advice?

Let's put it this way... if you were the owner of a program, and you knew that 99% of the people who see your website have already paid to join at least one other program, what would your advice to those people be?

Would you tell them that their best chance for success is to focus on the program they've already joined?

Probably not.

You'd probably tell them that they need to join your program too... so they'll have a "safety net" in case the other program should fail. And even if it doesn't fail, if they join your program also, they'll have that wonderful phenomenon called "multiple streams of income".

So is it any wonder that all the experts and gurus (who own the programs) are so enthusiastic in their endorsement of the "multiple streams of income" approach?

Not really.

But what they don't tell you is that by trying to advertise both programs, you're causing your own failure in both programs.

They don't tell you because it's not important... to them. What's important to them is that you click that "Join Now!" button and send in your money. That's what they're interested in!

So do yourself a HUGE favor and forget about trying to advertise more than one program.

Choose ONE business and commit yourself to building that one business.

You can FAIL at LOTS of businesses... or you can SUCCEED at ONE business... but you'll NEVER succeed by dividing your efforts and trying to build more than one business at a time.

Success requires focus.

If you don't believe me, just ask any successful person you can find whether you should concentrate all your efforts on building one business... or scatter your efforts among a bunch of different programs.

I think we both already know the answer to that one!

Success requires focus.

So if you're trying to promote more than one program, you can take a giant step forward right now.

Choose one and get rid of the rest.

Remember... success requires focus.

There are a few things I want you to understand...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. ) Trying to promote more than one program at a time will cause you to fail.

Program owners advise you to join (and promote) multiple programs because it's easier than proving why their program is better than someone else's.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.) The ONLY way to succeed is to pick ONE business and commit all of your efforts and resources to building THAT business to a successful level.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.) It's YOUR responsibility to choose the best business for you. Don't rely on what you read on the website. Spend as much time as necessary to learn all you can about a business BEFORE you make your decision.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.) If someone can't explain WHY their business is better than the others, then it's probably not... and why would you want to waste your time and money on that business? <fieldset class="zemanta-related"><legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles by Zemanta</legend>

Is blogging good for business? (encourageblogging.com)

To Define Success, First Define Failure (myventurepad.com)

</fieldset>

Matrix programs that pay so much per position down through so many levels.

There are 2X2 matrices and 3X9 matrices and unlimited width matrices and every other combination you can think of.

Some matrices "feed" other matrices, setting up a series of matrices with ever-increasing pay-outs.

Some matrices pay more for positions in the first few levels and some pay more for positions in the lower levels.

The fact is this... you can create almost any kind of a pay plan with a matrix.

But they all have one thing in common.

They all rely on everyone else doing something.

Thus the ever-present statement... "if everyone else does the same thing".

Don't misunderstand. I'm not implying that there's something dishonest about that statement. In fact, it's almost impossible to illustrate how a matrix-type pay plan works without using that statement.

So you'll see income illustrations that have a diagram of a particular matrix accompanied by a statement such as, "If you refer 3 who each refer 3... and everyone else does the same thing through the remaining levels... you'll make all this money!"

And all of it is true. The matrix is probably one of the most solid pay plans because it pays out less than it brings in. That means it's sustainable... which is good for you AND good for the program owner.

BUT... earlier I said, "you can create almost any kind of a pay plan with a matrix". They are tremendously flexible by nature... and that opens the door to greed.

Consequently, there are two things you should know about matrices.

1.) What really happens "if everyone else does the same thing".

2.) How to tell a "good" matrix from a "bad" matrix.

What really happens "if everyone else does the same thing".

This one's easy... because it never happens!

You need to remember what's always stated in the fine print... "This example is for illustration purposes only. Your income may be more or less than what is shown in this illustration."

That's because there will NEVER be a time when everyone will do the same thing!

There may not be much else you can count on... but you can count on that! There will NEVER be a time when everyone will do the same thing!

Instead, here's what you'll see...

A few people will do a lot and more people will do a little... but most people will do nothing!

So... how does that affect a matrix?

Let's look at a very common matrix configuration and apply some values to a few variables.

Let's use a 3X9 matrix... which means that the most positions immediately below any other position is three... and the matrix extends a total of nine levels down.

The program costs $18 per month and the first level pays $6 per position... so it's a "get 3 and yours is free" type of arrangement. If you can fill your three first level positions with members, your $18 in monthly commissions is enough to cover your $18 per month subscription cost.

At the top of the matrix is you and you are working hard to promote this program in hopes of filling your matrix.

You get three and they each get three and the additional members you refer are "spillover"... meaning they fill open spaces below the first level in your matrix.

Everything is humming along just fine and you're starting to see some real progress.

But every line has an end, doesn't it? And at the end of every line is someone who doesn't have three on his first level... and so that member isn't earning a commission... and he decides he doesn't need to keep paying the monthly subscription fee.

So he quits... and suddenly the person who was up one level from him no longer has three on his first level... so he's no longer earning enough to cover his costs... he's operating at a loss... and he decides he doesn't need to keep paying the monthly subscription fee.

So he quits... and suddenly the person who was up one level from him no longer has three on his first level... so he's no longer earning enough to cover his costs... he's operating at a loss... and he decides he doesn't need to keep paying the monthly subscription fee.

So he quits... and up the line it goes. You watch as your entire group collapses from the bottom up.

Can one person leaving a matrix cause it to collapse like that?

No, but you have to understand that each level in a 3-wide matrix has three times as many positions as the preceding level.

The 6th level has 729 positions. The 7th level has 2,187. The 8th level has 6,561 and the 9th level has 19,683... twenty-seven times as many as there are on the 6th level!!!

In other words, the further down you get... the more your matrix is filled... the more lines there are that end in someone who is NOT earning any commissions!

The more positions you have filled in your matrix, the more people there will be who are operating at a loss... and at risk of dropping out!

One member dropping out may not mean much, but imagine hundreds of members dropping out because they don't want to continue operating at a loss. That would cause a shockwave that could result in a huge part of your group simply evaporating!

So you see... the whole idea of "if everyone else doing the same thing" is necessary in order to explain how a matrix works... but it's an impossibility in the real world.

It could happen... but it can't. Never has, never will.

A 3X9 matrix has 29,523 positions. Try finding even 29 people who will "all do the same thing" and I think you'll understand that finding over 29 THOUSAND people who will all do the same thing is completely and utterly impossible.

Does that mean it's impossible to fill a matrix and keep it full? No. It is possible... but it's going to require a LOT more work than something as simple (and something that sounds as easy) as "if everyone else does the same thing".

How to tell a "good" matrix from a "bad" matrix.

This is a simple arithmetic problem. You simply add the commissions paid through each level. That tells you how much of the monthly subscription fee would POTENTIALLY be paid out if the matrix was ever completely filled.

If you subtract the total from the monthly subscription fee, you'll see the owner's MINIMUM profit on a completely filled matrix... IF the owner had not reserved the top position in the matrix for himself... which all owners do.

Another thing you should consider is the amount of money paid out for positions on each different level.

Some matrices are set up to pay large amounts on the first level to help their members get into profit quickly. That can be a good thing, but it leaves less money that can be paid on positions in the lower levels where there are more members. That results in a lower potential overall.

Other matrices are designed with higher payouts for level 2 or 3... which is to encourage members to help their downline members build their groups.

And still other matrices are designed with a higher payout on the very bottom level. The reason for this is to make it appear that this particular matrix offers huge potential... but the owner knows that 99.9% of people who try (and pay to try) will never see anyone on their lowest level... so he will probably never have to pay out that large amount.

In summary...

Matrix type programs can be very good, good, not-so-good, or bad.

Some people make money in programs that feature matrix pay plans.

Some people lose money in programs that feature matrix pay plans.

The people who make money understand that everyone WON'T do the same thing... and that it takes a LOT OF WORK and a LONG TIME to fill a matrix and keep it filled.

The people who lose money think they can just sign up, refer a few people, and then everyone will do the same thing.<fieldset class="zemanta-related"><legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles by Zemanta</legend>

Earning Blogging Money -- Full Time Passive Income. (blogavenues.blogspot.com)

Earning Online Money - How To Keep at It (tlmarketing.net)

</fieldset>

These general types of programs ALWAYS draw in people by the thousands and even though they are doomed to fail... 100% of the time... they have a nasty habit of returning dressed as something else.

No study of Internet scams and rip-offs would be complete without a thorough explanation of this type of program... and it's important for you to understand how they work (don't work) so that you'll be able to recognize the wolf in sheep's clothing.

I am referring specifically to the "Straight Line Matrix"... also called the "1X Matrix".

The Straight Line Matrix was the system behind all the "Doublers".

In case you're not aware of these kinds of programs (Doublers) they were very popular in the last half of 2004.

The reason you don't see them anymore is because they ALL eventually collapse beneath their own weight... some sooner than others.

To understand why, you have to understand how they work.

Imagine a big box on a table, a man standing next to the box, and a line of people.

The box is the Doubler, the man is the Administrator, and the line of people are participants.

The man tells you that if you put money in the box it'll double very quickly and you can take out twice as much as you put in... BUT you must wait your turn in line like all the other participants.

The line if fairly short, so you give the man $20 to put into the box. He gives you a ticket that says $40 and you happily step to the back of the line.

How much of your $20 did he put in the box? Nobody knows. That's the first problem.

But as you're waiting in line, you see other people come up and give their money to the man to put in the box. He gives each of them a ticket and they take their place behind you in line.

Soon (VERY soon) there's enough money in the box to pay $40 to the first person in line. The man explains to that person that he can either take his $40 or he can put it back in the box to double again... so back in the box it goes. The man gives him a ticket that says $80 and the participant happily steps to the back of the line.

Did he put ALL of the $40 back in the box? Nobody knows. That's the second problem.

But people keep putting money in the box and the people at the front of the line keep putting their money BACK in the box so before long the line is moving faster and faster.

Then, before you know it, YOU'RE at the front of the line thinking, "Gee! That was the easiest $20 I ever made! If I put my $40 back in, I'll get $80 as soon as it's my turn again!"

So you hand over your $40, the man gives you a ticket "worth" $80, and you step happily to the back of the line to wait your turn.

Is the ticket REALLY worth anything? No. It just SEEMS like it. That's the third problem.

Think about this... even if the man keeps NONE of the money for himself, it takes TWO people adding $20 each before ONE person can take out $40. It takes FOUR people adding $20 each before ONE person can take out $80. It takes TWO people leaving their $40 in the box before you can get your $80 out.

Every time ONE person gets paid, the line grows by two, three, four, or more people. (And don't forget, the man who owns the box isn't doing this for fun. He's keeping some of the money as his "profit".)

So the line keeps getting longer... and LONGER... and LLLOOONNNGGGEEERRR.

And the WAIT keeps getting longer... and LONGER... and LLLOOONNNGGGEEERRR.

Pretty soon the person at the front of the line says, "This is taking too long. I don't think I'll put my money back in this time. I'll just take my money, thanks."

Then someone in the line says, "I heard there's another box over there and the line is really short. When I get to the front of this line, I'm going to take my money over there."

Suddenly nobody wants to put their money back in the box, and there are no more new people adding money because the line is so long.

And........... the............... line................. just................... STOPS...................... MOVING.

Even if you're standing at the very FRONT of the line... you get NOTHING if the man says there's nothing in the box.

Is the box REALLY empty? Nobody knows. Maybe it is, or maybe the man just realized that the game had run its course and people weren't putting their money back in his box. Every time he gave someone some money, they just left. So why keep giving people their money? All he has to do is say, "The box is empty"... and he can keep everything that's left.

In fact, while it seems that the competition from another man with another box was at least partly to blame for the death of this box, it could have been the VERY SAME MAN who started the second box when he saw the line at his first box getting longer and longer.

What better way to keep people putting money in his box than to "quietly" lure the same people to another box that he also owns?

Is every Administrator who operates a Doubler dishonest? You tell me. They all know that a Doubler can't last very long... even under the best conditions.

Do some people make money in Doublers? Yes. But you'd better be one of the FIRST ones in. And you'd better be one of the FIRST ones out! And even then, you could still lose everything you put in.

Are these programs all called "Doublers"? No.

The Doublers are all gone... for now. They may be back, who knows?

But even if the Doublers never come back, the "Straight Line Matrix" will always be there and it WILL come back disguised as something else.

In fact, just after the demise of the Doublers, the Straight Line Matrix appeared again in the form of Auto-Surfs. The money wasn't necessarily "doubled"... but the participants were paid huge returns from "The Box".

In fact, it's a variation of this type of program that's behind ALL of the so-called "High-Yield Investment Programs"... or HYIP's. We'll cover those in a later section.

It all comes down to this... if you spend much time on the Internet trying to find ways to make money online, you WILL stumble onto this kind of program and you WILL be tempted to "try it out".

In fact, you will be VERY tempted.

How can you protect yourself?
How can you stop being a victim?

Just remember this... the Internet can't create money from nothing.

Money has to come from somewhere. The Man With The Box can't pay you $50 unless he gets that money (plus some for himself) from someone else.

Where does he get the money? From people just like you.

You see, he knows that if he can get you to send him $10... and he sends you $20 back... you'll keep sending him more and more money until he pulls the plug and disappears with everything.

Your best defense? NEVER send money to any program that promises to pay you back more than you paid in... unless you're required to do something that actually generates more money.<fieldset class="zemanta-related"><legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles by Zemanta</legend>

Your Matrix of Morality (theassimilatednegro.blogspot.com)

</fieldset>

An Introduction to Stacked Income
Let's say you own a paint store. Your store sells quality paint at fair prices. You
understand that your success relies on keeping your customers satisfied, so you
do everything you can to provide the very best service. Your advertising is
effective and within a few months you have a number of loyal customers. These
are professional painters who buy a lot of paint, so your store is profitable.
Then one day you decide you'd like to increase your profits.
How will you accomplish that?
You could open another paint store in the next town, but that would require
leasing another building, finding and hiring someone to run the store, and
spending more money on advertising.
As you can see, that approach would cost a lot of money and require a lot more
effort from you.
Instead, you decide to add another product line in your existing store. You
contact a paintbrush company, pay them some money, and they come to your
store and set up some nice displays with quality paintbrushes.
Soon your customers are buying paint AND paintbrushes from you. Paint is your
"primary product" and paintbrushes are an "add-on product".
You already had an income from your primary product sales. Now you've
stacked another income on top of that income by selling an add-on product that
your existing customers also want.
How much extra work was that for you? None. Your profits increased simply
because you arranged to provide another product to your existing customers.
Could you do that again? Could you have another Stacked Income?
Absolutely!
Suppose you decide to add drop cloths and rags as another product category.
The exact same customers who were already buying paint and brushes could
then also buy the drop cloths and rags they need. That would give you another
Stacked Income.
It would probably cost you a little money for the additional products, but your
profits would increase (again) without you doing any more work, so it would
certainly be worth it.
Then you could add ladders. That's another Stacked Income.
Then paint sprayers. That's another Stacked Income.
See what's happening? You're earning more money without doing any more
work!
You haven't increased your advertising or your labor costs. You didn't need to
open another store and find more customers. You simply provided your existing
customers with more products that they need and want, and your business
became more profitable.
In fact, with each new add-on product, your business became more profitable.
How many add-on products can you have?
Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank applied the concept of Stacked Income by
offering customers 40,000 add-on products and transformed one lumber store in

Sam Walton applied the concept of Stacked Income and 120,000 add-on
products later, what began as one little store in Bentonville, Arkansas is now the
largest retailer in the world with almost $1 billion in sales every day. Along the
way, Sam Walton became the world's wealthiest man.
As I mentioned before, that's Stacked Income in its most basic form.
In its advanced form Stacked Income is even more powerful than that!
--------------
Ok I admit it. I have a charmed life. Everything I touch turns to gold. Or platinum. Or Prada.

I’m healthy, happy, and successful. My worst nightmare day is a lot of people’s dream come true.

Now it wasn’t always this way...

For more than 30 years, my life sucked. Real bad. I was sick, unhappy, broke, and miserable. Everything I touched turned to camel dung. If anyone could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, that would have been me.

So what changed?

The single most important thing – more important that anything else I have ever learned was this: I came to the belief that I was responsible for everything that happened in my life, both the good, and the unspeakable horrible. Which was a very frightening thought indeed...

Because it meant I could not blame my dysfunctional relationships on my partners anymore, I couldn’t blame all my business failures on my sponsor, crooked partners, and the economy, and I couldn’t blame my poor health and other tragedies on God, the universe, destiny and circumstance.

And while that was quite a frightening thought at first...it became the thought that ultimately gave me freedom.

Because if all that was true about those bad things, then logic dictated that it must be true for the good things. Which meant I could manifest being happy, getting rich, becoming successful, and attracting quality people into my life!

Do you really get this? Do you realize that you can manifest all the good things and live a life of health, happiness and prosperity?

Coming to this realization was the single, most important, defining breakthrough in my existence on this planet. Because it took me out of the mindset that I was a victim of circumstance, and created a mindset and belief that I could control my own destiny.

Now this thought is radically different from what most people believe. But then again, most people are sick, broke and stupid. They feel victimized by God, the Universe, nature, destiny, luck, circumstance, and a litany of other “outside” factors.

But when you feel these things victimize you, that discounts the very important reality of the effect our thought-forces and mind elements have upon our circumstances, character, and destiny.

You create your own circumstances by the thoughts we give precedence to.

So that is step one, working on the thoughts you give precedence to. But there is more.

Until your thought is linked with purpose, you can’t experience the true prosperity that is your birthright.

Not only must you have a purpose, but also you have to make that purpose the centralizing focus of your daily thoughts. You must make your purpose your supreme duty, with your eyes always on the target. When you do that, then you really do control the thoughts you give precedence to, and this creates your mindset. And it is your mindset that determines how successful you will really be in life.

Here’s what the process looks like:

1) Having an overriding purpose helps you direct your thoughts.
2) Those thoughts determine your mindset.
3) Your mindset determines how successful you will really be.

How you will react to any situations that come up is determined almost entirely by your mindset. Take my friend Matt. We stopped at a fried chicken joint to eat after our ballgame one night. As we were walking to the door, he said, “You know what’s going to happen? I bet they are going to be out of chicken! That happened to me once. I went in and they were out of chicken. How can a chicken place be out of chicken?”

So what happened?

We went in. I ordered a 3-piece chicken dinner, which I got. He ordered a 3-piece spicy chicken dinner. Which, of course they were out of. He looked at me and raised his arms, as if to say, “I told you so.”

Now we could do a whole lesson on how he manifested them being out of chicken. But that’s for another time. The point I’m raising here is his mindset.

He expects bad things to happen to him, so they usually do. I love him, but he affirms about 300 bad statements every day. I am constantly stopping him in mid-sentence, screaming, “Wait, don’t affirm what you are about to say!” And he pauses for a second, thinks about it, and finally says something like, “Well it’s true though. My suitcase is always the last one off the plane.”

Fascinating, isn’t it? Your mindset colors how you view every situation you encounter every day. And it shapes the way you attract things into your life.

Some people are predisposed to think they will be wildly successful, some figure they will get by, and others like Matt expect the worst to happen. Your expectations will color how you view each situation you encounter, hundreds of times a day. That in turn will color how you act in each situation. And each one of those small, seemingly insignificant decisions determines your future.

If you think the rich get richer, and you have to have money to make money – you will probably do nothing to break out of being broke. You will think you want to be wealthy, but on a subconscious level, you will just tell yourself it would be a wasted effort.

If you think that good things only happen to “other” people, you won’t expect them to happen to you. And when they do, you won’t even recognize them, because you’re not expecting them. You won’t accept when people want to do good things for you. They may manifest as something simple, like refusing their offer to help you with a project, to something much larger, like refusing to accept love from someone who loves you.

You could pass up a great investment opportunity, decline to open a business that can make you wealthy, not protect your health, or even repel your perfect soul mate. Or all of the above.

Of course the opposite is true too...

If you believe you are worthy of wealth and happiness, you will expect good things to happen. And when they do, you will accept them gratefully. This is the power of autosuggestion, which operates in your subconscious mind.

When you get presented with lucrative opportunities, you are likely to act on them. And when you have a chance to try something really bold, daring and monumental – you will go for it!

So this leads to a fascinating area of speculation...

Namely whether you believe that we manifest cancer tumors, horrible accidents happening to us, people we love dying, and other horrible things. Or more specifically, do YOU believe that YOU manifest horrible things for YOU? Or do you think that they come from circumstance, fate and luck?

This may be the single most important question you ever ask yourself.

Because it means the difference between creating your destiny—or spending a life of quiet desperation, reacting to drama, and challenges and a never-ending supply of misfortune.

Now does that mean that I think that you consciously or subconsciously wish upon yourself a tumor, or horrible accident or other tragedy?

No, not consciously anyway. But I do believe we can and do, attract bad things to us. And I believe that we shape our circumstances by the power of thought.

Now most people don’t feel that way. It’s a lot easier to believe in chance, luck, destiny, providence, and other outside factors. If we can blame things on God, nature, the universe, the economy and our asshole ex-spouse, it sure makes our misfortune more palatable, doesn’t it?

But lost in all this is the very important reality of the effect our thought-forces and mind elements have upon our circumstances, character, and destiny.

So I don’t think that you or me or anyone else would want to have a loved one die, or get in a horrible tragedy. But we can believe that we are not worthy and manifest a victim pattern. Your soul attracts what it secretly harbors.

That means that which it loves, and also that which it fears!

So that means you can reach the height of your greatest aspirations, goals and dreams, or sink to the level of your un-chastened desires. So that leads us to the million-dollar question for you.

Do you believe that your soul attracts what it secretly harbors? That which it loves, and also that which it fears? Or do you think I’m an uncaring, egotistic, arrogant, lucky, rich guy who forgot where he came from - and doesn’t understand the special circumstances that aren’t your fault that are holding you back?

How much responsibility did you accept for the last really bad things that happened to you? (As in, getting fired or laid off from your job, being in a car accident, getting sick or injured, having your new distributor drop out, etc.)

The amount of responsibility you take for this greatly determines your mindset, and thus how you might subconsciously attract and manifest bad things happening in your life.

If you are like most people, you admit that you are responsible for a lot that takes place in your life. You agree that you are your thoughts, and that your thoughts create both your character and your circumstances.

But...

You probably would add something like, “Surely Randy you don’t think that I had anything to do with (fill in the blank.)”

Well I’m not going to be the one to tell you that you manifested getting an incurable disease, losing a loved one, going bankrupt, or any of a hundred other unspeakable calamities that may have occurred to you. And you probably wouldn’t believe me if I did.

But I know this...

I didn’t want to be in jail at 15, but I was there as a result of the actions I took. I didn’t want to be sick, broke and stupid, but I was, because of the thoughts I gave precedence to. I didn’t want to have my business seized by the tax authorities, but that was a direct result of my actions. And I certainly did not want to get shot, but even that was a direct result of some decisions I made, and the mindset I had at the time.

I do know that when I changed my mindset, I changed my own life.

So here’s the other side of the question...

How much responsibility did you accept for that last wonderful, glorious thing that happened in your life? (As in finding the love of your life, your child being born, getting the promotion, making a big profit on an investment, etc.)

Here’s why I ask...

If you think all the good things come from good luck, destiny or – dare I say this, God – you could be missing out on a lot of good things. Now before the fundamentalists write to complain, let me explain…

In the form of a story.

A farmer was in the fields, tending his crops when a passerby struck up a conversation. He mentioned to the farmer how blessed he was that God had given him such a beautiful farm.

The farmer mentioned how he had repainted the barn and the farmhouse, and the stranger again remarked how God had blessed him.

The farmer talked about how he removed all the rocks and tree stumps to plow the fields. The stranger smiled and nodded, and remarked again how God had blessed the farmer. This went on for some time, the farmer talking with pride about the improvements he had made, and the stranger repeating how God had blessed the farmer. Finally in exasperation, the farmer exclaimed, “You should have seen the place when I took it over from God!”

There is an important prosperity lesson in this parable. If you believe in God, I’m happy for you. But don’t give away all your power and responsibility! God – or the universe, or whatever forces you believe in – can only do FOR you, what he can do THROUGH you.

You were given free choice. You were given the abilities to manifest the things you dream about. But as the Quakers like to say, “As you pray, move your feet.”

God gave me the ability to play softball, which brings much pleasure to me. But if I wanted to do it at a high level, I knew that I would have to practice, do drills, learn the intricacies of the game, and get in better aerobic shape. So I did.

God gave Pavarotti a beautiful gift. But do you have any idea how hard he worked (Pavarotti, not God) to refine and develop that gift?

While it is important to take responsibility for the bad things in your life, it is just as important, to take responsibility for the good things!

Because if you don’t take some credit for the good things - you don’t have the mindset that you can actually create more of them. Think about it. And think about the credit you deserve for what you do.

As I told you – I don’t think that you or me or anyone else would want to have a loved one die, or get in a horrible tragedy. I didn’t want negative relationships, to get evicted from my apartment, to get shot in a robbery, to have addictions, to end up in jail, or get sick. But I do believe that I manifested ALL those things by the mindset I had at the time.

I was in the ultimate victim pattern for 30 years. And I was continually manifesting proof on a daily basis that I was an unlucky, unfortunate guy who just couldn’t catch a break. Of course that was all bull.

I was riddled with guilt, low self-esteem and feelings of unworthiness, and I kept manifesting drama to satiate my need for feeling worthy by lieu of being the simple, poor, but spiritual guy, who was fighting the forces of evil and oppression. I am so glad I don’t have to do that any more!

So what about YOU? What kind of mindset do you have towards prosperity?

You are a being of free thought, critical thinking and love. You are the lord of your thoughts, and therefore hold the key to your mindset. The transforming and regenerative mindset that allows you to make of yourself what you will. So that means you can reach the height of your greatest aspirations, goals and dreams, or sink to the level of your un-chastened desires. So think about the most important question you’ll ever answer, because that will be the true barometer of how you will build your network marketing busines

One reason is because they think the Internet can do things that are impossible.

They've been told again and again that all they need to do is join this program or sign up for that program... and send in some money... and they'll make tons of money while they sleep... because someone else is doing all the work!

They've been told they can earn 12% interest PER DAY... when some of the world's most highly-skilled fund managers struggle to maintain average returns of 12% PER YEAR... so they send in hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars and then they're shocked when the program collapses and they lose their "investment"!

They're told that they'll make money as a result of the "spillover" they get from their upline... who also signed up with the promise that they'd get spillover from their upline... and nobody does anything so nobody gets anything except the owner of the program. He gets the money you sent in.

Why do so many people believe that impossible things can somehow happen because of the Internet? Because they don't really understand what the Internet is and what it can and can't do.

Here's what the Internet is and what it can do...

The Internet is a vast network of specialized computers called "servers" that have the ability to communicate with your computer and my computer and millions of other computers all over the world.

To better understand the Internet, you might want to think of your computer as a telephone... and the servers as the switchboard at the telephone company.

When you click a link or enter a url in your browser window, it's a lot like dialing a telephone number... but instead of you talking to your brother in Baltimore, your computer is talking to a server in a climate-controlled room somewhere. It's asking that server for a website or an email or a picture or a song... or whatever. The server's job is to store whatever is placed on it, wait until some computer makes a request... and then "serve" that website or song or whatever to the computer that made the request.

So the report that you're reading right now is being "served" to your computer by my servers in Orlando, Florida. How did it get on my servers? I put it there, so you could read it whenever it's convenient for you. That way I don't have to be there to answer the phone when you call... I can let my servers do that for me. They'll process your computer's request and "serve" what your computer has asked for.

Because so many things can be converted into a digital file and uploaded onto a server... and because your computer is so good at communicating with servers all over the world... it's easy to see why you might begin to think that your computer is capable of doing things it can't do.

After all, it's no exaggeration to say that the Internet is by far the most powerful tool ever invented by mankind for communicating and for storing, processing, and delivering information.

Yes, the Internet is capable of doing some pretty amazing things!

But the Internet can't do everything. Even the Internet has limits.

Here's what the Internet can't do...

The Internet can't create money out of nothing. The Internet can't cause money to flow into your bank account unless you do something to actually EARN that money.

Why? Because all of the money in the world already belongs to someone... and they're doing their best to hold on to it. They're not going to send it to you unless they have a good reason!

So if you're going to make money on the Internet, the first thing you need to do is give a lot of people a very good reason to send their money to you.

What kind of a reason?

Basically, there are only two ways to get people to voluntarily send money to you.

    *

You can trick people... fool them into sending you money by telling them something that isn't true.
    *

Or you can provide people with something they want... something of value... something they're happy to pay for.

If your choice is to fool people... to cheat them out of their money using lies and deception... then you're wasting your time reading this Report. I have nothing to say that will help you.

But if you're the kind of person who values honesty, if your personal integrity is worth more to you than a few dollars, if you understand that in every legitimate business transaction BOTH parties benefit, then this Report is going to help you in ways that you can't even begin to imagine.

There are a few things I want you to understand...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. ) Although the Internet is an amazing tool, it owns no money. When someone tells you that you can put up a website and it will "suck money from the Internet like a giant vacuum on steroids"... they're hoping to fool you into forgetting that money doesn't come from the Internet. Money comes from people.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.) Dishonest people tell the truth most of the time, but honest people don't lie. If someone tells you they can guarantee you'll make a million dollars in six months... you know they're lying, don't you? So why bother to believe anything else they tell you? Honest people don't lie.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.) You can make money honestly... or you can make money dishonestly... but you can't build a successful business on dishonesty. Don't fool yourself. You can't build a successful business in a few weeks or a few months. It takes time to build a highly profitable business. During that time, everything you say will have to stand the test of honesty. Don't lie, don't exaggerate, don't stretch the truth, and don't promote a website that isn't 100% honest.

A farmer buys some seeds and all the machinery required to plant, grow and harvest them. Then the farmer spends months of unpaid work and a lot of his money to grow his seeds so that he can harvest later on and finally reap the rewards of all his hard work.
To speed things up, the farmer can spend more of his money and hire workers to plant and grow his seeds for him. The workers then invest their time to grow the farmer's business and when harvesting time comes, the workers get nothing of the rewards as they were already rewarded for their work (salary). The farmer makes so much (profits) from selling his harvest that he can pay more and more workers to do his work for him. The farmer ends up doing less and less work himself yet make more and more money.
10 years pass and the worker is still stuck in the same hole, still working hard for his money but the farmer sold his farm and now lives in a mansion
Moral of the story: grow your own seeds!
Working from home and growing your network marketing home business is not unlike this farming story. It does require hard work in the beginning and you are not paid for that work, you are only paid for the results that you achieve (harvest). However once those results start coming in, they keep coming month after month without any extra work being required as your trees keep producing fruits. Your businesses even grow faster and faster on their own as your customers start growing their own businesses within your organization. I guess we could call the network marketing industry the business of growing money trees... Every single customer you refer is a potential money tree and you need to nurture it so that it grows big and strong!

When I say, "You will succeed"...
I'm referring to the business definition of commercial success. That would be a business that has grown to a point where it will continue to grow and generate a profit even in your absence. It's when a business becomes "self-sufficient". At that point a business could be priced and sold strictly on its ability to provide the new owner with an income

who they will vote for, even before they may even know
themselves?

That is the particularly intriguing question faced by
hundreds, even thousands of pollsters, not to mention
politicians. As the public is exposed to the daily,
hourly barrage of skittishly jumping results of the
polls, there seems to be no way to measure what will
happen, except to say it is "virtually a dead heat."

Hakim Chishti, Executive Director of the research firm
Advanced Marketing Institute (AMI) believes his form
picked the likely winner. And it will not be anywhere
near a "too close to call election." In fact, according
to Chishti, "one of the candidates is three more times
more likely to be chosen in this election."

“It’s All in the Sound of Your Voice”

According to Chishti, "Going all the way back to Plato,
it has been known that our emotions are affected by the
actual sound of words; the tones within words 'mean'
something to us, regardless of which language is being
spoken, and regardless of whether we even know the
language."

Chishti, who is fluent in several Near Eastern languages
and a US Government Fulbright Research Scholar, says "I
became interested in the harmonics of languages, when in
my travels I found that people had emotional reactions to
languages which they did not know."

Phonetic Symbolism: the Key to the
Emotional ‘Meaning’ of Words

In linguistics this phenomenon is known as "phonetic
symbolism." Marketers and researchers for decades have
used this awareness to develop brand names and evaluate
marketing communications. Russian researchers discovered
that these sound affect a child while it is still in its
mothers womb.

While the effects of spoken words on our emotions can be
profound, understanding the specific mechanics of how
sounds produce specific emotional reactions has been an
elusive goal for researchers.

200,000 Words Analyzed for Emotional Impact

In the 1990s, Dr. Chishti led his team of researchers at
the Advanced Marketing Institute to develop special
algorithms. Based upon research at Bell Labs, Chishti's
computer experts analyzed the tonal qualities in more
than 200,000 words in the English language, and the
specific centers in the mind and body activate by
specific waveforms made by each sound.

The Advanced Marketing Institute provides a free analysis
tool online which provides free evaluation of headlines.
Site visitors run more than 30,000 headlines through the
tool each month, to improve the emotional connection of
their marketing slogans with potential customers.

The analysis results provide a breakdown of words into
three categories - those affecting the emotional,
intellectual and spiritual centers of a person. Based
upon these criteria, Chishti's firm provides special
computer analysis to Fortune 100 clients and others. The
results are stated as an "Index" for each component of
the emotional value of a particular series of words.

“Inside the Mind of the Marketplace” (And Voters)

According to Chishti, this type of research provides very
deep insight into how customers interact with products,
services, and other people. "We call this analysis
"Inside the Mind of The Marketplace," Chishti said.

"It was possible for us to evaluate, as just one
example," said Chishti, "political candidate's speeches,
to discern how emotional, or intellectual or spiritual
their communication is."

Chishti also said, "If you also evaluate the blog posts
of a candidates' web site, one can more fully match the
communication style of prospective voters. That is a
considerable advantage."

So after an evaluation of all the candidates' speeches
and all of the campaigning across millions of miles and
thousands of hours of stale dinners and limp shrimp,
which candidate does Chishti predict will be the winner?

“It’s all in the name …”

"Of course many factors influence an election," he said.
"The area we thought most relevant was the name of the
candidate himself. Since this is the most obvious and
often-repeated aspect of everyone's connection to a
candidate, we wanted to get to the core perception for
each candidate. We felt the name provided just such a
focus.

And Chishti revealed to us that purely in terms of the
harmonics of the names, one candidate is a clear winner,
and overwhelming winner. And that is Senator Barak Obama.

"At least according to the science of linguistics and our
computer analysis of how people respond emotionally, Sen.
Barak Obama's name has an overall emotional content index
value of 150%, whereas John McCain's rating is only 50%."

Candidate’s name “off the charts in
terms of emotional appeal…”

To put that in perspective, even the best copywriters
attain an index rating of around 30%. So while McCain's
name is not necessarily weak, the harmonic strength of
Obama's name if essentially off the charts. You
practically could not have invented a more emotionally
connective name for a political candidate," said Chishti.

"Without getting too technical about it all" Chishti
said, "simply in terms the emotional, heartfelt
connection, common people have three times the
"emotional" connection with Sen. Obama."

Though considered ‘intellectual’, people ‘feel’ him as
the more as emotional and empathetic candidate.”

Even more interesting, said Chishti, is that we can
further break down the specific format of emotions, into
heartfelt qualities or emotions, intellectual values and
spiritual values. "Interestingly, " even though Obama is
considered the "intellectual" of the candidates, his name
conveys only "emotional" or heartfelt values to people.

"Perhaps that explains to some extent the rising tide of
veneration enjoyed by the Obama campaign, and the large
crowds, their sense of commonality of purpose and
community exhibited by the huge crowds he draws," Chishti
said.

Or are you a sponsor?

Are you a recruiter? Or are you a sponsor? There is a big difference. A recruiter is effective at "signing up" people, and then moving on to "sign up" others. The recruiter seems to be in a frantic search to find superstars among the crowd, and his way to "find" them is to "sign them up" and then watch and wait. The recruiter believes in "love ‘em and leave ‘em. He expects the superstars to eventually rise to the top, and the others to eventually quit. The sponsor has a different attitude. He believes that any person worth sponsoring is worth developing. The sponsor believes in "marrying" the people he sponsors. The recruiter believes in the "one-night-stand".

Being a sponsor is an ongoing, continuing activity. It is this ongoing activity that creates loyalty to the sponsor, and gives the sponsor serious credibility. The recruiter is a traveling salesman; once he has sold you, he is gone. The sponsor is a helper/teacher who wants you to have the training and tools you need to be successful, and the encouragement to keep plugging.

There is also a transferable concept here. Your sponsor wants you to be a sponsor. A sponsor develops other sponsors by deliberate, careful help and encouragement. A recruiter expects a born superstar.

As I looked at those babies in that nursery, they each had a card that read either "boy" or "girl". Not one of those cards read "superstar". In all those trips to the nursery, I never found one superstar. Superstars are "made", they are not "born". They are "developed". Making a superstar takes training, encouragement, help, patience, and time. It takes being a sponsor.

What does it take to become a superstar? It take a lot of attitude-type things, such as confidence, commitment, determination, credibility, etc. Where do these "attitude" type things come from? They are learned. They are taught. They are "caught". Here are the stages of the development of a superstar.

1. Have a real sponsor.

2. Learn to be a real sponsor.

3. Develop others who will be real sponsors.

4. Teach them to teach others to be real sponsors.

The secret to MLM success is found in this: the recruiter is not building a "multi-level" organization, it is all one level (and most of them will quit). The sponsor is building a duplicatable system that can run downline through his organization. This builds a powerful downline because it is built deep and strong.

What is the difference between a recruiter and a sponsor? It is the difference between "hype" and "help". The sponsor’s job begins when you enroll; the recruiter’s job is done when you enroll. The goal of the recruiter is to sign up people. The goal of the sponsor is to train leaders.

Before asking yourself which you want to be, ask yourself which do you want your upline to be. Remember, you are the upline to other people. The key to success in MLM is found in two rules:

1. Be a sponsor.

2. Keep being a sponsor.

Young children prefer these colors and respond more positively than they do to to pastels or muted blends.

Market researchers have had a field day identifying the colors and the likely effect they have upon us.

However, the effects of color differ among different cultures, so the attitudes and preferences of your target audience should be a consideration when you plan your design of any promotional materials.

For example, white is the color of death in Chinese culture, but purple represents death in Brazil. Yellow is sacred to the Chinese, but signified sadness in Greece and jealousy in France. In North America, green is typically associated with jealousy. People from tropical countries respond most favorably to warm colors; people from northern climates prefer the cooler colors.

In North American mainstream culture, the following colors are associated with certain qualities or emotions:
Red --excitement, strength, sex, passion, speed, danger.
Blue --(listed as the most popular color) trust, reliability, belonging, coolness.
Yellow --warmth, sunshine, cheer, happiness
Orange -- playfulness, warmth, vibrant
Green -- nature, fresh, cool, growth, abundance
Purple --royal, spirituality, dignity
Pink -- soft, sweet, nurture, security
White --pure, virginal, clean, youthful, mild.
Black --sophistication, elegant, seductive, mystery
Gold -- prestige, expensive
Silver -- prestige, cold, scientific

Market researchers have also determined that color affects shopping habits. Impulse shoppers respond best to red-orange, black and royal blue. Shoppers who plan and stick to budgets respond best to pink, teal, light blue and navy. Traditionalists respond to pastels - pink, rose, sky blue.

Want to test some of this out? Check out web sites belonging to companies with marketing budgets that allow for extensive research into what sells best.

Jaguar (http://www.jaguar.com)
A luxury car with a luxury web site. There's a predominance of black (sophistication) and silver (prestige). Jaguar markets to people with high incomes who view themselves as sophisticated and look for a prestigious vehicle.

Volkswagon Microbus (http://www.vw.com/microbus/)
Check out the predominance of yellow (happiness) and orange (playfulness). Matches the type of owners that Volkswagon is trying to attract, don't you think?

So how can you put this information to use?

First, think about your target market. Let's say that you are selling books for young children, but you are marketing to grandparents. You'd probably design the books in bright, primary colors (reds, blues, yellows) to appeal to the children who will use them. However, the marketing materials (web site, brochures, etc.) would be designed with grandparents in mind. You might decide to go with blues (trust, reliability), pinks (nurture, sweet, security) and yellow (happy, playful).

Of course, you would test your ads and colors on a small market segment before rolling out a large scale campaign.

Give some thoughts to the message you want to send and to the psychology of the recipient. Then choose your colors accordingly.

Wouldn't life be really magical if you could always get thing done your way? Seems like a day dream doesn't it? Well there are people on this planet who always get what they want when they want it. They know how to get people to agree with them in any and every situation. Read on to discover how you can do the same and achieve mind blowing results. Agree with them- In order to get what you want from people you need to agree with them first even if they are not correct. Every person wants to be heard and people are more concerned about themselves than about anyone else therefore when you agree with them they would instantly have to agree with you as well. Treat them like a king- Treatment has a lot to do when trying to get a yes response for anything and everything from someone. This rule is simple. The better you treat a person the better that person's response would be towards you. They would find it extremely hard to deny anything you ask them once you treat them this way. Help them to get help- In order to get them to help you help them first. Think of it as a one time payment for a lifetime of regular income. Once you help someone without any personal motive that person is automatically urged to help you even if you don't ask for any help. This is how the human body functions and this applies to almost anyone and everything in our society.

Let's begin by taking a close look at a very common practice among online "Biz

Opps"... the "Pre-Launch".

It starts when you get an email.

You're informed of a very important event... a brand-new Internet program is

About to be released and you're one of the lucky few who are finding out about it

BEFORE the rest of the world!

This one's going to be GIANT and if you hurry and join NOW... during the Pre-

Launch... you can secure your place at the TOP... and get rich as the "Big Dogs"

And "Heavy Hitters" start promoting it to their lists!

Sorry... but that's a lie. It's designed to get you to make a decision based on

Emotion rather than logic. Its purpose is to create a "Fear of Loss" within you so

That you'll react in a certain way.

The truth is this... there's no such thing as a "Pre-Launch".

A program is either launched or it's not launched.

If it's accepting new Members... it's launched.

If people are promoting it... it's launched.

If you found out about it in your email... it's launched.

Can you still get in early enough to get rich? Can you still get in before the "Big?

Dogs" and "Heavy Hitters"?

No. That's another lie. The Big Dogs and Heavy Hitters are already promoting it

To their lists... and telling everyone they can that this will be a GIANT new

Program and if they hurry and join NOW... during the Pre-Launch... they can

Secure their place at the TOP... and get rich as the OTHER "Big Dogs" and

"Heavy Hitters" start promoting it to their lists!

Think about it... if YOU were starting a program and all you were concerned

About was getting as many people to sign up as possible... wouldn't you tell the

Big Dogs and Heavy Hitters about it FIRST?

Of course you would!

If you're reading this and you're one of the Big Dogs and Heavy Hitters... then

You already know all this. You have your "A-List" of people you know who have

A huge list and they expect to learn about your "New Deals" first... just as you

Expect to be among the first to be told about their "New Deals".

You also have your "B-List"... that huge list of names and email addresses that

You send offers to every few days. That's your "Money List". Those are the

People who... for some reason... tend to believe a certain percentage of what you

Tell them. Those are the people who will send you money over and over again

Until they finally opt-out and remove them from your list.

You'd have to be a complete idiot to send an offer to your B-List before sending

It to your A-List. That would be shooting yourself in the foot!

BUT... if you're reading this and you're NOT one of the Big Dogs and Heavy

Hitters... if you're just a regular Joe or Jane trying to make some money on the

Internet... then you need to understand what goes on behind the scenes.

Here's the TRUTH!

1.) The vast majority of Internet "Biz Opps" are NOT intended to last for more

than a few months.

2.) The reason for that is because so many people fall for the "Pre-Launch"

marketing method.

3.) The people who own those programs realize that they'll get 70%-80% of their

sign-ups (and their money) during the first 4-6 weeks... during the big Pre-

Launch... and then their sign-ups and their income will start to taper off.

4.) What's the best thing to do when that happens?

5.) You guessed it! Start another program... have another Pre-Launch... and get

the same people to send you money AGAIN!!!

6.) If you've EVER received an email from someone about a Pre-Launch, you're

on someone's B-List. You are one of those people who are expected to send

money whenever the owner of that list clicks the "Send" button on his mass

mailer.

7.) Forget that the email is addressed to you by name... that's an automated

function.

8.) Forget all the garbage about you having an advantage... the exact same

email went to tens of thousands of other "names and email addresses" on his list.

9.) Forget about getting in at the top... the whole thing's going to disappear in a

few months anyway!

10.) Forget about making money in that program... it's not designed to make

money for YOU. It's designed to get you to send money to the owner of that

program... and to the owner of that B-List.

11.) This entire cycle... start a new program... have a big Pre-Launch... make a

bunch of money and let your A-List friends make some money in the process...

and then do it all over again... is nothing but a way to get you and a few thousand

other people to send in your money again and again.

12.) You have a very specific... and very important... role to play in all of this.

You are the little ATM machine that spits out money when these program

owners press the right buttons. That's right. You are the money source. You're

the one who pays and gets nothing in return. You're the victim. Without a victim

none of this would be worth the trouble!
All tout them as the Best One for the home based business entrepreneur.

And since so many will be entering Networking for the first time due to our souring economy, and the need to earn extra income, many go blindly into a Company without understanding the compensation plan. Only after entering the program and working it for months do they realize what they need to do to earn a substantial income, or possibly how difficult earning that income may be. Compensation plans are written to entice distributors to enroll but to protect the profitability of the Company. Having a clear understanding of the Compensation plan will help you devise a strategy and pick the one that is right for you.

The primary ones are Binaries, or often called Binary , and Uni level plans, and variations thereof. There are different versions of the Uni level Plans, some are called a Forced Matrix . But both are entirely different. And can greatly affect your income and potential income, depending on the structure of the plan.

Binaries or Binary plans, generally offer the greatest chance at a significant income, but with limitations. Binaries traditionally offer the largest income potential, but can be more difficult to implement, as it requires you to build 2 teams. Remember, bi means 2 . So a binary requires you to build 2 distribution teams, one on your left, and one on your right, which are called legs . The IBO s (Independent Business Owners)or Distributors you recruit, or if you have a good upline, place beneath you, will build legs on the left and right as well. So you get a tree effect with you at the top of the tree, and all the branches or legs below you.

Products that are purchased by your down line are generally assigned a Point value, depending on the quantity purchased. A typical binary might assign point values ranging from 20 PV to 600 PV. These points are then put on each leg to the corresponding purchases.

For instance, your left leg may 20 distributors. And on a given week, that leg purchases enough product to give it a PV lets say 900 points.

On the right leg, you have 60 distributors. And their point total 2500 points. Provided you are qualified to receive commissions, which usually means you have made a qualifying purchase in the previous cycle( most are 30 days, some are 28) and have personally enrolled at least one IBO on your right and left legs.

In this example, you would receive a percentage amount of the points on your lesser leg. In this example, lets say it is 10 . You would receive 10 commission of the left leg, or $90. The 900 PV is deducted from your right leg, so now, for the new week you have 1600 points carried over to your right leg. And the process starts over. many binaries have bonus structures built in to them also based on how successful your downline has been at building their network.

This has been the basis of criticism of Binaries, or Binary Compensation.

Noticed I used 20 on the left and 60 on the right for illustration purposes. The reason is, despite your best efforts, it is difficult to maintain leg equality and thereby receive the maximum compensation. The best situation in a binary is to have your up line place people below you on the one leg, and then you only have to build out the one side. This can only be accomplished if you have a good up line, and are placed on an outside leg which enables you to receive spillover on the leg. To do that, I would investigate the Company, its distributors, and who your up line is or would be. Find out their track record of recruiting and spillover that you can benefit from. make sure you are put on a power leg.

Otherwise, you could be left trying to build 2 teams, and despite your best efforts end up with minimal compensation.

This is why many who have been in Networking will not participate or do not like a binary situation. They may have been in one of the situations where there is no spillover, and couldn t grow both legs. Those that make the largest incomes generally do so in a binary. Professional networkers that are looking at making 4,5, and 6 digit monthly incomes will only do Binaries, as these offer a greater income potential.

Recently, some network companies have implemented a new binary compensation program that pays on Both legs. This overcomes the objection that many have to the binary structure. For instance, in a compensation plan like this with a binary, and using the same 20/60 description above, you would be paid to 20 deep on your left, and 20 deep on your right.

Or, you would be paid on 1800 points, the 900 on your left, and 900 on your right. If you were being compensated at the 10 rate, your commission would now be $180.

These new Binary programs make a larger residual income within the grasp of more IBO s.

The other plan, the uni level, insures that more IBO s will make something, but not to the extent of a binary. You will hear many touting uni levels as the best way to get that money for a car payment, or that the difference in a household making it and going under is about $300 extra income per month. Uni level plans offer more the opportunity to make a smaller income, while binaries of the past generally offered fewer a larger income potential.

A Uni level plan would work something like this; You recruit the 1st person, who is placed directly below you. You would earn a percentage commission off of their purchases, and all your other personally enrolled or sponsored, at a rate of as much as 50 . However, those placed below you by someone else, would only pay you about 1 2 . So if you are in a Uni level, and someone placed below you by your up line is placed below you.

And they make a $50 purchase. Your commission on that would be generally around .50 $1.00. So, if you wanted to make $1000 extra per month, you would have to enroll lots of people, because you would need 1000 2000 distributors placed below you to make that $1000.

By the same example, lets say you had a binary that paid on both legs.

And you had the same amount of distributors making a similar purchase.

With 1000 distributors, lets say there are 300 on your left, and 700 on your right. And the 300 on your left make a $50 purchase, and the 700 on your right make a $50 purchase. And the PV assigned to that purchase is a conservative 20 PV. You would make, at a 10 rate, $600 on your left, and $600 off your right, for a total of $1200 before bonuses. That s a 20 increase. In this example, if we use 2000 distributors, 600 on the left, and 1400 on the right, your income would be $2400.

That s why serious network marketers look carefully at the compensation plans, and what they are, and how they are going to be successful with them. You should too, get all the information you can and ask questions before making a decision. By doing this, you can greatly reduce the length of the learning curve , and you are on your way to being a successful network marketer.
