The first time I saw eTycoon, I was impressed. A few years ago, I bought and sold a Photoshop tutorial site (both buying and selling took place on Sitepoint). The site had good traffic but wasn’t making any money.

So, I did a few different things. I sold some ad space through text link ads and I added a few Adsense blocks. Withing a few months, I was making about $380/month!

I turned around and sold the site on Sitepoint for 10x what I bought it for.

So, in watching the eTycoon webinar, I was reminded of the feelings I had buying and selling the Photoshop website.

And after going through the course, I have to admit… I love buying and selling! So far, I’ve done it with 7 websites and have made quite a bit of money. Not millions, but I covered the cost of the course almost 12 times over!

eTycoon Review – What’s Covered

eTycoon is all about buying and selling websites for ‘lump sum profits.’ If you build a site that makes over $1000 a month, the idea is to hang on to it and keep making money from it.

Creating a site that makes over $1K a month is definitely possible as long as you do a few things right. eTycoon teaches you all that.

eTycoon Review – The Positives

Frankly, I like eTycoon a lot.  It’s one of the simplest formulas to making money online that I’ve seen, aside from Niche Profit Classroom.  I like their system too.

Buying and selling websites isn’t shady or anything else.  It’s just picking up a site that someone doesn’t want anymore, improving it and selling it.  It’s kind of like house flipping actually!  Only you can make 10x or 20x as much money and there’s no manual labor!

eTycoon Review – The Negatives

Honestly, there isn’t much that I didn’t like about eTycoon.  It’s going to take some time to get through.  There are like 40 or so videos total.  Each of the videos is transcribed too, so if you prefer to read, that’s cool too.

If you’re looking to make money online and affiliate marketing or list building isn’t your deal, then eTycoon is your answer.  Buying and selling websites is about the easiest gig in the world and you don’t need any prior experience to pull it off.  You just need some hand holding from Ryan Moran at eTycoon…

Niche Profit Classroom Review

Here’s something not many people know about me. About a year ago, I was pretty broke. A couple of my friends were making pretty sick money online, all using one course – Niche Profit Classroom.

Now, I ALMOST did the stupid thing and disregarded it as hype.  But as you’ll see, NPC is probably about the only real course online that actually fills in all the blanks…

It’s not perfect – but for $1, it’s worth a shot.

Now, I’m not one to write glowing reviews, and I won’t be here in this short ‘Niche Profit Classroom Review’ post – but the course rocks, to be sure.

Here’s a quick rundown of what Niche Profit Classroom is if you’re new to the course and are thinking about investing in it.

Niche Profit Classroom is basically an Internet marketing course that teaches you how to make money by following a specific blueprint that Adam (the site owner) uses to make quite a bit of money each and every month…

These sites go by a multitude of names:

They’re mini pieces of web real estate that you build and promote using free traffic sources…  Just my kind of deal.

The money side of it happens through affiliate marketing and/or selling your own goods.

When I joined, the thing that I like about Niche Profit Classroom was the fact that you didn’t have to know anything to actually make some money doing the stuff! You could be a complete newbie. In fact, the class is built for newbies…

Niche Profit Classroom Reviews – The Positives

There was one reason – well two – that I became a member of Niche Profit Classroom during their last launch:

1. I liked Adam’s no-nonsense approach to the training in his videos.  It’s how I prefer to learn.
2. I had a few friends making some pretty decent money with the Niche Profit Classroom sites

Those two things were enough to get me to buy.  The problem was I didn’t have any money…

Low and behold, Niche Profit Classroom has a $1 trial!  My thinking was that if I got in and learned as much as I could, I’d just cancel my membership.  Real noble of me right?

Well, I got in.  I started building sites.  And then I started making money.

Month after month, my income was going up – so I stayed a member.

Niche Profit Classroom Reviews – The Negatives

By now, you know I like Niche Profit Classroom and recommend it very highly. But there are negatives, as with anything.

First – the time commitment is pretty intense. It takes a day or so to build one of these Niche Profit Classroom ‘profit centers’ out.

Second – when I went through the course the first time, it was heavily built on the idea of creating your own ebooks. I skewed the teaching a little and promoted affiliate products – which they’ve been teaching lately.  I prefer to test out new markets first with affiliate offers and then write my own ebook!  It just makes sense to me…

Niche Profit Classroom Review – The Verdict

If you like the idea of building your own sites and getting lots of free traffic – Niche Profit Classroom is for you. It’s the ONE program that I happily pay for month after month and I don’t plan on changing anytime soon. If you’re looking to make some money online, Niche Profit Classroom is your best bet – hands down.

PS. I don’t think they’re going to be leaving up the $1 Trial much longer…  So jump in while you can. Don’t make the stupid mistake that I almost did by missing this chance to test it out!

Blogging to the Bank. If you haven’t heard about it and you’re even a little bit serious about making money online, Blogging to the Bank is for you.

Basically, Rob has made over a million dollars online, from his blogs. Very few people can claim to have reached that goal. In fact, the most successful bloggers I know might make $200K or so, but not $1M.

Ultimately though, money was the reason I got into blogging. One day, I chanced upon this PDF on how to become a professional blogger. Then, it was an unheard of thing. (This was probably 5 years ago). And decided to give it a try.

The thing about Rob’s Blogging to the Bank is that he uses blogs as ‘revenue generating platforms’ rather than ’self expression engines’ or anything like that. He builds blogs to make money – plain and simple. And that’s what Blogging to the Bank is all about.

Blogging To The Bank Review – What To Expect

Here’s basically what Blogging to the Bank covers:

• Research the web using keyword tools, Google and Clickbank
• Grab a domain name, hosting and set up a WordPress blog
• Optimize your blog for both humans and search engines
• Monetize by installing key plug-ins and proper configuration
• Write or outsource content, or use plr articles
• Link building, SEO and Web 2.0 techniques
• Sell affiliate products from clickbank
• Sell advertising from your blog and use Google AdSense
• Then do it all over again from step 1 with a new blog

For me, I use this method and recommend it whole-hearedly.  the difference is that I outsource all of it.  Well, almost all of it.  I do the niche selection and affiliate stuff.  Simply because those are the two ‘money’ areas and can’t be screwed up!

Eventually, it’ll be outsourced though!

Blogging To The Bank Review – Who Should Buy This Book

This book is for one group of people specifically – those looking to make money online.  If you’ve spent any time building up a personal brand or anything through a blog – don’t buy Blogging to the Bank.  It’s a good book, but will confuse you as to what you’re trying to do online.

The successes that I’ve had – I’ve been focused on them.  Blogging to the Bank is considered a ’shiny object.’  If you’re truly just starting out or you’re looking for a way to make some serious money online – this ebook is for you.  But if you’re trying to build a brand, don’t invest in it.  The two motives are way different from each other.

My Blogging To The Bank Bonus!

Listen, lots of times, these sorts of tutorial/how-to ebooks like Blogging to the Bank can be difficult to implement because of terminology or best practices.

Personally, when I sell stuff like this I try to give some coaching or a webinar that will help buyers take action… Rob didn’t do that – probably because he sells a couple hundred copies a day…

Blogging To The Bank – The Verdict

I like Rob’s system.  It makes sense to me.  But the only reason I do both the personal branding thing on my other sites and build niche oriented, affiliate blogs (aka the Blogging to the Bank system) is because I have a team of people who do it for me.

I like being into a lot of different things and experiencing lots of success in markets that I’m interested in.  Plus, it gives me a chance to connect with people I wouldn’t have access to otherwise (ie. product owners).  That, for me, is cool.

Like I said, if you’re interested in making money online, Blogging to the Bank is definitely a step in the right direction.  It’ll take time to pull in your first few dollars, but give it a month or so.  It’ll happen.

Ever since the economic slowdown, publishing houses are less likely to do book deals because no one is buying them! So self publishing is the only option.

Anyway, one cool service that a lot of smart authors are using right now is iUniverse. To put it simply, iUniverse is a publishing house that’ll self publish books and all sorts of other things.

The site allows you to upload your content whether it be audio, video, text, pictures, or whatever and will publish them in a format that people can buy. Depending on the package, you can get bar codes and everything else.

One thing I particularly like about iUniverse’s self publishing service is that shoppers can buy your book or photo album or DVD on your own little shopping cart that iUniverse sets up for you. You don’t need to know ANY coding whatsoever. After the purchase goes through, iUniverse takes care of all the shipping and everything!

Another cool thing is they even offer digital goods. The reason I say that the smart marketers are using it (or smart ‘make money online’ people) is because iUniverse is so easy to use. The first eBook that I actually published and made money with was published through iUniverse.com

So yeah, I actually did this research years ago… I was wondering how to get my book published and I stumbled on the site…

After I self published my first book, they sent it to Amazon and some of the other information product retailers and within just a couple months I was making about $1,500 a month from it. It was just a simple 56 page long eBook!

One word of caution though… Make sure to check the formatting of your book when you upload it. Sometimes it screws up margins and page spacing and stuff. They might have fixed it by now, but just watch out!

Just a thought: The service makes it dead simple to get started and if you have a blog or some sort of content that you’ve been writing, then it’s relatively easy to put it all together to upload it.

Get My Book Published…

Just put a Word document together and upload it to the free account. If you’re looking to actually get your stuff in Barnes and Noble or Amazon, you’ll have to buy an upgraded package that give you an ISBN number. It will send your actual physical book to Barnes & Noble, Amazon and Borders — the retailer bookstores which is awesome!

I don’t know of a better feeling then walking into Barnes & Noble and seeing a copy of your book sitting on the shelf. Whether people are buying it or not, it doesn’t matter. It would still be very cool to know that you were published and that people could buy your stuff in a book store.

Could Google be your next ISP? Maybe. The company has just announced a trial of its own high-speed network that it plans to offer to “at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people.”

Google says it will be capable of delivering speeds more than 100x faster than typical U.S. Internet connections with up to one gigabit per second. It will do so at a “competitive” price.
