Nicki Minaj and Nas in "Right By My Side"

The Queen Barbie has a real hip hop king by her side. Nicki Minaj has grabbed Nas to play her leading man in the video for her new single “Right By My Side.”

In the just-premiered clip for the summer love anthem, Nicki and Nas share a romance that leaves Nicki singing “I’m not living life, I’m not living right, I’m not living if you’re not by my side.” We understand why. Check out that lip-lock at the end!

The track’s featured guest, Chris Brown, makes an appearance in the video, singing his verse and being playful with Nicki.

Jennifer Lopez - FOX

Before American Idol crowns its season 11 winner, the drama surrounding season 12 has begun. According to E!, Jennifer Lopez will be leaving the show.

Lopez, who joined Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler at the judges’ table in season 10, is reportedly “just too busy” to continue finding and judging new talent for Idol, a source told E!

J.Lo will indeed be busy this year. She has new singles to promote, a possible new album or greatest hits album she’s working on, a new movie, What To Expect When You’re Expecting, and her tour with Enrique Iglesias runs through the summer and is expected to add more world-wide dates for the fall, a situation that won’t allow J.Lo to be present during the audition phase of season 12.

Fox hasn’t commented on J.Lo’s supposed departure, and, for now, J.Lo’s answer to if she’ll return to the show or not is “I just don’t know.”

J.Lo kept fans guessing last year as well. In an interview with Scott Mills of BBC Radio 1, she said she was “on the fence about it” about returning, citing the same schedule issues.

“I had an amazing time doing it, and I loved it, but I have a lot of other things happening,” she said. “It’s gonna come down to a choice of what I really wanna do for the next year. We’re not really at the breaking point of ‘You have to make a decision right now!’ So I’m not. I’m just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing.”

No one’s blown Carrie Underwood away from the top of the charts yet. The country superstar scores a second consecutive week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart with her fourth studio album, Blown Away. The set sold 120, 000 copies in its second week of availability. That’s a 55% drop from its debut pull-in of 267,000 copies.

Meanwhile, Adele, who is no stranger to ruling the top of the charts, is on the rise again with her sophomore album, 21. The year-old album climbs 4-2 this week after selling another 101,000 copies.

Carrie Underwood stopped by Dancing With The Stars‘ semi-finals results show to add a little spice with a performance of her latest single. Standing on a circular platform down a small runway, Carrie gave a sassy performance of her hit single, “Good Girl,” while the DWTS pros performed a routine on the dancefloor.

“Good Girl” is the latest single from Carrie’s new album, “Blown Away.” The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums charts after selling 267,000 copies in its first week of release. During the album’s release week, Carrie appeared on multiple shows as part of a media blitz to promote the project. Those appearances included Good Morning America and American Idol. She’ll head out on the Blown Away tour this fall to support the release. Watch the performance below.

After his last album failed to live up to expectations–largely because of its super human concept– Ne-Yo is learning from his mistakes. He’s stripping away the gimmicks, tricks and themes and is focusing on just the music. This is apparent in his new single, “Lazy Love.”

The laid back track finds Ne-Yo painting the picture of a day where he ignores just about everything to enjoy some sexy time with his lady. This is because her loving is apparently so epic, it makes him lazy and he can’t bring himself to do anything but “the do.”

There’s no superhero back story involved with this track. It’s purely r&b goodness.

“Lazy Love” is the first single from Ne-Yo’s new album, “R.E.D.” The single is also his first release on his new recording home, Universal Motown Records. “R.E.D.” is due in stores on September 18. Listen to the single below.

Adam Lambert - VH1

Adam Lambert will have a brand new album in stores tomorrow (May 15) so to gear up for the release, he’s in NYC doing promotional appearances. While in the Big Apple, Lambert stopped by the VH1 offices for an interview on their Big Morning Buzz show where he talked about everything from being “the weird kid” to working with Bruno Mars.

“I’m a huge Bruno Mars fan. I think he’s phenomenally talented–his voice is amazing, his songwriting [is amazing]. And then I got to find out like he’s the nicest guy,” Adam said of meeting Mars, who wrote his latest single “Never Close Our Eyes.”

Adam also talked about gay marriage, gushes over his Glamberts and answers a few of their questions.

“Trespassing,” Adam’s sophomore album, will be in stores tomorrow. Watch the interview below.

The deals are done and the announcements have been made. After months of speculation, The X Factor USA has its two new judges for season two in the form of pop icon Britney Spears and former Disney darling Demi Lovato.

Lovato and Spears were on hand in New York City for Fox’s Upfronts to make to big announcement along with returning judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid. “I’m ready to find the true star,” Entertainment Weekly quoted Spears as saying. “It’s an honor to be standing next to you,” Lovato said to Cowell. “It’s an honor to represent my generation.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join The X Factor judging panel. I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action,” Brit said in a separate statement to Us Weekly. “Simon and L.A. better watch out!”

Demi and Britney officially fill the judging seats left vacant when season one judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were given their walking papers. Though the details of Demi’s deal aren’t as widely known, multiple reports say Britney will earn a cool $15 million in her deal. This will make her the highest paid judge on reality television.

It seems like it was forever ago when Rihanna teased fans with photos of her incredibly badass, self-described “gangsta goth geisha” look on the set of “Princess Of China,” her collaboration with Coldplay. (That was back in March.) But, at long last, the video is on the way.

Before the video premieres this month, RiRi and Coldplay are taking fans behind the scenes of the making on the video. In a just-released clip, RiRi explains the concept of the video. “The final concept now is like a movie trailer for an old Kung-fu film,” she said. “How awesome is that, right!?”

Of course it’s awesome for RiRi. The concept means she gets to play dress up a lot. Along with her gothic geisha, she’s “a bad samurai b*tch” and a “cute little geisha b*tch.” And, don’t worry, Coldplay fans. There’s plenty of frontman Chris Martin to be seen in the clip, and he’s playing dress up too.

Usher

After doing a little dancing and screaming during his first performance of the night, this week’s Saturday Night Live musical guest, Usher, returned for his second performance. This time, he slowed things down a little bit and broke out his falsetto for a performance of his smash single “Climax.”

Usher did surprisingly well for a song that’s mostly done in falsetto–something lots of fans thought would be a struggle for him to do live. That doesn’t mean it was perfect. Ush hit a particularly sharp note during the beginning of the performance. Things ended on track though.

Earlier in the night, Usher performed his new single “Scream.” This is the first time he’s performed both singles live on television.

“Climax” is taken from Usher’s new album “Looking 4 Myself.” The album is dues in stores and at online retailers on June 12. Usher is scheduled to perform a song from the set at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on May 20. Watch the performance below.

Saturday Night Live is celebrating a major milestone: its 100th digital short. To help celebrate the joyous occasion, SNL brought out big named stars like Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, this week’s musical guest Usher and even Michael Bolton to appears in the digital short.

In the short, Justin Bieber, dressed in a fancy suit, thinks he’s in for a clean, singing good time. Turns out though, the guys are going to celebrate their 100th short by shaking off the cobwebs, limbering up, stretching it out and doing plenty of Pilates so that they can suck their own…man parts. Yes, you read right. He does not endorse this song apparently.
