Jonas Brothers fans looking to attend their Zurich, Germany concert tonight (November 7) woke up to some bad news.

Nick, Joe, and Kevin have announced the cancellation of the show due to illness. “Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is ill with an upper respiratory infection of the nose and throat and the doctor has advised that he not speak or sing,” the guys said in a statement.

It’s the first time the guys have been forced to cancel a show because of sickness.

“The band, the management, and the promoter apologize that the show must be cancelled on such short notice. We will do everything we can to revisit Zurich in the future and perform for our wonderful fans,” the statement continued.

Tickets will be refunded between November 9 and December 31 at the ticket pre-sale agency.

Rihanna’s full interview with Diane Sawyer aired last night on 20/20. Some of the revelations she made in the tell-all were startling. Besides going into detail about the night she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, she revealed for the first time that her mother was a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her father, Ronald Fenty.

Fenty, who spoke out about Brown in numerous interviews, at one time broke Rihanna’s mother’s nose. Her mother, Rihanna says, never sought medical attention or called the police.”Domestic violence is not something people want anybody to know,” she said. “So, she just would hide it in the house.

“I always said to myself ‘I’m never gonna date somebody like my dad. Never.’”

Also, for the first time, Rihanna takes on the speculation that she hit Brown first. Speculation she called “ignorance.” “No. Did not hit him. It was an argument. Verbal.”

Sawyer showed her Brown’s infamous YouTube apology video — a video Rihanna claims she hadn’t seen before then. “Sounds like he might have been reading off of a teleprompter,” she said of the apology. “I knew that he felt really bad about doing it. I just didn’t know if he understood the extent of what he did.”

Sawyer asked Rihanna what she would like to hear from Chris. Her answer? “Nothing.”

“What I want is for him to accept this as a man would and accept the responsibility and not find a way to feel sorry for himself.”

Nine months after suffering a brutal beating at the hands of her superstar ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, Rihanna has finally spoken out about the night in an interview with Diane Sawyer for ABC News, and in shocking detail.

In a clip from the interview that ran on this morning’s Good Morning America, Rihanna recounts the attack which she describes as “ugly” and Brown’s demeanor at the time. “He had no soul in his eyes,” she told Sawyer. “Just blank. He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him.”

Brown has given a small number of interviews about the incident but refused to go into specifics, he says, out of respect for his and Rihanna’s privacy. He remained mum in a new interview with MTV filmed in his native Virginia on Monday (November 2). When asked for a response to Rihanna’s tell-all, he issued the following statement:

“While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8th, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.”

Kris Allen takes the universal message of living everyday to the fullest and makes it undeniably catchy in the first single from his self-titled debut album, “Live Like We’re Dying.”

In the video for the single, shot in a junkyard at a remote desert in Los Angeles, the American Idol season 8 winner  shows his versatility as an artist going from smooth crooner with a mic, playing his guitar, then belting at his piano, all in front of one mega-sized countdown clock.

“The idea behind it is that I plug in the clock and I’m pulling the big cord through the junkyard and through all these other things and then I plug in the clock and it starts counting down to zero,” Allen told Popeater of the video. “In the end when it hits zero, it’s kind of like the song, it’s like we only have so much time so we gotta do what we want to do.”

Good Morning America aired another snippet of Rihanna’s revealing interview with Diane Sawyer this morning, and the details she disclosed about the night Chris Brown beat her were haunting.

“He had no soul in his eyes,” Rihanna said of Brown’s state of mind during the attack. “He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him.”

Rihanna says the deeper the two “best friends” fell in love, the more dangerous they became for each other “equally.” “It was a bit of an obsession.”

She says the night before the Grammys when the two were driving back to her house after attending Clive Davis‘ party turned “ugly” because she saw a text message from another woman on his phone and she “caught him in a lie.”

“I couldn’t take that he kept lying to me and he couldn’t take that I wouldn’t drop it. His back was up against the wall. The truth is right here in a text message. It escalated into him being violent towards me.”

As hard as it appeared for Rihanna to think back to the night, that she says “was not part of my plan,” she admits she still loves Chris. “I don’t hate him at all. I actually love and care about him, and I’m concerned about him doing well.

“I want him to do well, have a great career, have a great life, and grow up.”

Latin star Alejandro Sanz and R&B diva Alicia Keys made sweet music together tonight at the 10th annual Latin Grammy Awards.

The duo performed their new duet “Looking For Paradise” together for the first time. Both went back and forth between singing in English and Spanish, and showed real chemistry.

“Looking For Paradise” appears on Alejandro Sanz’s new album, Paraiso Express.

Rihanna - Nokia

The wait for Rihanna’s new album, Rated R, is almost over, but November 23 might be just too far away for some fans to handle.

Good news: the 21-year-old pop star has teamed with Nokia to give fans a sneak peek at the album in an online concert and album release event on November 16.

During the event, which is expected to be the world’s largest live streaming launch party, Rihanna plans on performing songs from Rated R and past hits from her three previous albums.

Even though she’s excited to let so many people in on her special day, she also admits to being nervous. “It’s not just the 6000 people in the venue,” she told Inside Nokia Music, “but it’s millions of people across the world watching it all at once.”

“It’s exciting though. It’s a big thing that everyone can see it. There’s no better way to launch an album.”

Looks like Beyonce and Lady GaGa’s “Video Phone” has been temporarily disconnected.

The video for their highly anticipated collaboration was scheduled to be released today at 5:30 p.m. EST on MTV.com. Every medium imaginable was utilized to get the word out about the premiere — not that it was needed. The promise of seeing two of music’s biggest divas dueting was enough to break viewing records.

5:30 came. Fans rushed to MTV.com. Nothing.

As frustration and impatience hit a boiling point, MTV’s Buzzworthy blog tweeted that they ran into “technical difficulties” getting it up, but the video would be coming soon.

Soon turned into later. Finally, Beyonce’s record label confirmed the video release would be postponed and it will be airing at another date in November.

Whenever the video premieres, it’s sure to be an epic event. Building even more excitement for the project, GaGa recalled getting the call not only to appear in the video but to add a verse for the song earlier this week in an interview with BET’s 106 & Park. “[Beyonce] called me up after I saw her at the Billboard Awards,” GaGa said. “She said ‘I want you to write a verse and I want you to be in the video.’ I said OK, I’ve got three days, so I went right in the studio and I got it done and I sent it to her and she loved it.”

Katy Perry played host for the MTV Europe Music Awards for the second year in a row, and to kick things off, she decided she would perform not one of her songs, but a medley of hits from other artists in a cabaret-styled act.

On her set, called the Katy Kat Club, Katy wore a sexy corset and thigh-high boots to perform bits of Black Eyed Peas‘ “I Got A Feeling,” Kelly Rowland and David Guetta’s “When Love Takes Over,” King of Leon’s “Use Somebody,” Beyonce’s “Halo,” and Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face.”

The vocals were, um, interesting, but it’s doubtful that Katy was trying her best to do the originals justice. It was all in good fun, and fun it was!
