While wandering around – today – my eyes were drawn to two little rectangles in the ground. The rectangles screamed at me. I did the only thing that I could do . . . I bent and scooped while still moving along. Then I smiled.

I had just won 6 bucks from the planets lottery! I used to happen every so often – but – I was super-duper thrilled because it hasn’t happened in awhile – and – it is such a tremendously great way to make a day that much better.

If this ever happens to you . . . My advice is to bend, scoop and keep walking. Don’t pause. Don’t delay and don’t get greedy and start searching around for more. You got what you got – and – it’s more than you had.

There is a new store (again – again – again – hopefully for the last time) in town. Right now it has the same stuff – but is better and easier and faster – and will maybe let me concentrate on getting more stuff – instead of just constantly building new stores . . .

I’ve never been able to figure out if it is blurry because of all of the action that is taking place in the painting – or – if maybe I took the photo in a blurry kind of way – or – if maybe the world is actually the blurry thing – and the ferret painting is the only non-blurry thing that there is . . . maybe?!

As we got closer, the bird started hopping around the fence. I kept walking. I didn’t really care about the bird. I didn’t really care about the hopping.

Then – it started flapping his wings and puffing his feathers out . . . this bird was trying to start something with me.

I kept walking – not wanting to get drawn into a situation. The bird kept hopping down the wall and then decided to do a couple of quick agressive fly-bys. I waved my haves in the air – both to show him that I didn’t care – and to indicate that I wasn’t above throwing down with a tiny bird.

Socks had no idea that any of this was going on.

The bird landed on the fence – ahead of us – and continued to do his little angry dance. Then he jumped into a tree. Then he decided to take one more shot at it and he zipped into the street right in front of us.

Socks was still blissfully unaware that anything was going on.

I thought better of everything – I didn’t want to be the guy who socked a birdy. I also didn’t want to be the guy who was potentially beaten up by a tiny dinosaur. So – I turned around and went back the way I came – never knowing why that bird had it in for me.
