The N’ Him We Move Dance Ministry Symposium, 2010 will be like none other!! The buzz is starting! The excitement is brewing! The Spirit is moving!! Are you ready to WAKE UP, PEOPLE!! The SON is shining! Our theme will be emphasized all weekend!! Romans 13:11-12 (NIV) says “And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” Isn’t it time that we, as dance ministers, WAKE UP and realize that there is a world of thirsty souls needing to hear the message God is bringing through us? Isn’t it time that we, God’s chosen dancers, WAKE UP and understand the “present time”? Isn’t it time that we stop playing church and stop playing “dance minister” and begin to live the life that we dance about?? Isnt’ it time that the praise dancers of this day and time have more to dance for than to look good in front of their friends at church?? WAKE UP, PEOPLE!! No more dancing in the club on Saturday night and dancing in church Sunday morning! No more living a life of a stripper during the week and a praise dancer on Sunday. If we are to
“put on the armor of light”, it is for a purpose… to draw those in darkness to the light. We must come out of darkness into God’s light so that WE can be a light!! How are we a light? The SON shines through us! Is the SON shining in and through your dance?? Is your dance ministry bearing fruit… good fruit? WAKE UP, PEOPLE! The SON is shining! And it is time for us to carry that light to a dark world… where preachers, teachers, and singers can’t reach, but we can! Are you ready to WAKE UP, PEOPLE???

WAKE UP!!!

Wake up the dawn is approaching

Never knowing what may be unfolding

For the spirit of the Lord is a waiting

For our spirit to arise and be ready

Arise and allow your soul to be awaken

For you never know which path today you will be taken

Standing bold with your dance you’re proclaiming

That you have risen for a reason and sleep you will not be remaining

Wake up why?

Because as a dancer we are the movement on the wind of the spirit

Our souls have to be awake to hear and to feel

What the Lord sends to his people what he may want to reveal

We have to be alert and awake in order to hear it

Wake up why?

Because we are that light that lights a path way for others to see

The sun in the midst of all the darkness there they may be

Our feet move with the rays of Gods light

Our spirits are ready to dance and take flight

So I say wake up People!

Wake up to the troubles of this world

Wake up take your place

Dance move shout and twirl

Wake up People!

Let your place be known

Take that stand for the Lord

Dance before his throne

Wake up your dance can heal the hurting

The lost are looking to be found

The wounded and waiting to be healed

I don’t care what you do get up dance do something.

Wake up People!

Now is not the time to slumber

To run from your calling

To fall down and take cover

Wake up

These are the words I can hear God yelling

Stop our dance to the devil selling

With our arms lifted and our head held high

Proclaiming that God live rules and reigns on high

Wake up people WAKE UP!!!!!!!!

Here Inside Of Me

Within me lies something too powerful

To be seen with Natural eyes

Strength beyond what my eyes can see

A silent threat to the enemy

Words that bring warmth to the coldest of hearts

An anointing God gave me from the start

Here inside of me deep down inside of me

I can clearly see

Power running through my veins

A heart that is now and forever changed

A caged bird has been set free

Here inside of me

No matter what you do or say

I can do anything but fail

No matter how many time in the past I

Have slipped up and fail

God has made me completely pure

With the power and strength to endure

Anything that my past or present holds

For I am just like clay ready for God to mold

Here inside of me lies

A beautiful butterfly now ready to fly

A burning fire that brings light to the darkest of nights

Here inside of me deep down inside of me

A life beyond survival that awaits me

A future that’s bright and holds

The anointing that God will unfold

From hurt to joy from shame from God’s name

New beginnings now I have gained

From broken to healed new life God has reviled

From chained to completely free all this and more

Silent Scream

Those nights that you pray and wait pray and wait

For someone to come in a take your pain away

Those times where you walked the floor

Never knowing that something on the other side of the door

Just may have heard your silent scream

Your silent pain that you never thought

Would ever stop or go away

Those times you felt that you could

Never make it another day

Does anyone hear my pain you say?

Tired of smiling on the outside

When inside you’re in the pouring rain

Shh don’t let anyone hear my scream

These are the words that are whispered to me

But without saying a word your hurt was heard

God heard your silent scream

Oh is that not a joy to know even when you’re all alone

God has come in and shown

That he as heard your silent scream

My child you were never alone as he wraps his arms around you

I have been there each and every time you’ve gone through

And although you never knew I head all of your silent screams

Don’t worry it will all soon fade and go away

And you once again will have bigger and brighter days

And no matter what you may say or think

Always remember me

And know that I will always hear your

Silent Scream!

I am the Butterfly the Butterfly is I

A caterpillar with no vision of it’s’ cocoon

Does not know its true beauty comes soon

I am the butterfly the butterfly is I

My wings are forming not ready for flight

As Jesus brings ways for it to feed

A little faith I’ll make it is just all I need

I am the butterfly the butterfly is I

New life awaiting me in the huge blue sky

A dance is done as silk is spun

A cocoon is forming but God’s not done

I am the butterfly and the butterfly is I

My times come to change to my present I’ll say bye

The time has come for the butterfly to spread its wings
to share beauty and grace, as it soars beyond to learn new things
I am the butterfly the butterfly is I

I’m not sure if I can fly

See its rainbow of color dancing in the clear blue sky
like tiny jewels of pureness, too beautiful to pass by

I am the butterfly the butterfly is I

I think I can fly

Time has prepared it for this transition now
and by following its path, it will be shown how

I am the butterfly the butterfly is I

Surely I can fly?

To dance with the soft breeze stroking its cheek with a sigh
the sparkle of sunlight glitters on its wings as it flies

I am the butterfly the butterfly is I

I’m starting to believe I can fly

Toward a freedom that will be bound forever more
courage gives it power and a “will” to open new doors.

God gave me these Beautiful wings so I WILL fly!!!

What Dance Ministries Should Know About Copyrights
First and foremost, any and every dance ministry needs to contact a
lawyer to get the true and accurate story on copyrights. I can only
talk from experience, but no one should make decisions for your
situation based on our experience. You may also find helpful
information at copyright.gov .

That being said here’s the summary of our understanding: Whenever a
work (dance, song, etc.) is created and recorded it is at that time
copyrighted. For example, a writing is copyrighted when it is written
or typed and a choreography is copyrighted when it is recorded either
by video recording or by written notation. Therefore, anyone who uses
a reproduces a recorded work (be it a song, dance, skit, play,
writing, etc.) without permission from the owner of that work is
infringing copyright laws.

Registering a work with the US Copyright office is a legal formality
that records a public record of the copyright. Although registration
is not needed for copyright protection by law, registration is
required before an infringement suit can be filed.

What many dance ministries don’t realize is that in order to record a
dance to a recorded song (via video, television, youtube, etc.)
copyright licenses must be obtained for use of that song. Yes, there
are many, many, many recorded dances out there for which the dancers
or leaders did not get copyright licenses for the songs used. It is
up to the song company to enforce the copyright law and bring suit
against the infringer. What are the chances that the owner of a song
copyright is going to go through youtube and go after everyone using
his song illegally? Very slim! That’s why so many get away wit it,
but based on my research and experience it is legally wrong
none-the-less.
