I try my best to find time to update as well as promote my blogs as often as I can but the truth is, my full time job, which I do from home, keeps me more than busy.

One thing I have found helpful for promoting my blogs is adding them to search engine directories. In fact, I found a really useful free directory that I have had great success with! I highly recommend using directories to help with search engine optimization.

Staying Fit

Now that we're over the flu it's time to get back into the exercise regimen again (UGH) Maybe I'll try that Kettlebell this time. Of course, I will be using my tried and true treadmill as well.

CJ has been having some back problems and he swears it is because he's out of shape. Last time we kicked our rears in gear, we lost weight and felt better. DUH! Now, where did I leave my motivation?

In Need of a Vacation

Our next vacation is less than 6 months away but I swear, after the last 2 months I have had, I need one sooner than that. Maybe one of those cool ski vacations I keep hearing my friends talk about. Although I've never skied, maybe it's time to try something new?

All of us but CJ got the flu. Supposedly it was H1N1, even though the docs didn't test for it, I was told that was the only flu circulating. CJ has some other health issues going on that we're still in the dark about. I wonder when that nightmare will end? UGH

I Used to Love Fall

Fall isn't the same anymore. I used to love this season but the season doesn't 'feel' like it used to. I now find myself looking forward to spring and summer instead of fall. I was just looking online for pond supplies because I am already planning out in my head what I want our backyard to look like next spring.

Anyone else not having the same love for this time of year as you used to?

Car Repairs When Traveling

It's never ending - car repairs. No matter what type of car you have; new, old, Ford, GM, Toyota, etc... Usually when we travel we rent a vehicle and here's why; on a trip my cousin and his girlfriend took last Spring to Illinois, they decided to take their own car and of course that was when the water pump decided to malfunction. Just stopped working! That was that - right in the middle of a heavily traveled area.

So there they are, in a town they have never been in, with their broken down Toyota Corolla and believe me, my cousin is NOT very car savvy! Thank goodness for technology because he used his Blackberry to search online for Chicago auto repair and was able to find a reputable place to get their car fixed. He said they used repairpal.com to find the best place to take the vehicle. He said it's a really awesome site - there are reviews of service stations available and that makes deciding where to go so much easier! I can't even imagine how scary that must have been though! Not to mention his girlfriend is pregnant! Can you say 'freaking out'!

Online Schooling

It is amazing what is being offered online in the way of schooling these days! Looking to be a nurse? There is an online school for that. What about needing LSAT prep or MSAT prep? You can get that online too!

With so ch available online, is there any reason to even venture outside? I mean, seriously! All in all, I think it's great though. This gives stay at home moms like me a chance to be able to further education and build a future while being able to stay home with the kids!

A Trip Within a Trip

We are going to drive to Walt Disney World next year. This will be the third time going as a family and we've always driven. However, now that we're DVC members, we're thinking we may need to consider flying since we plan on visiting Disney at least once a year. I am paranoid about flying so this is something I need to overcome.

In the meantime, since we're still going to drive next time, we're thinking of making a mini trip within the trip, maybe check out the gulf shores on the way down. I'm not sure yet, but I do know we like to take our time driving down anyway. On the way home we're usually anxious to just get home!

I just love vacationing with my awesome family!

Stephen Gately Passes

Such sad news, Stephen Gately, Boyzone singer, has been found dead at the age of 33 and it seems the world is stunned.

There is no word on how he died or what happened to him. There are no words about his any previous illness.

His fans across the world are shattered with the sudden news of his death. Gately was believed to have been holidaying in Majorca when he died yesterday, according to a newspaper.

A friend of Gately's told the newspaper: "It looks like he went out for a few drinks, then got back, fell asleep and never woke up."

Car Decisions

Oh all my life is lately is making design decisions! Well, this time it was CJ's decision - but I had to hear about it, which is fine - I am happy he involves me in things and asks my opinion on stuff. First it was all about whether to go with chrome trim or not on his 2006 Mustang. Then it quickly switched to wheels and rims.

The focus remained on wheels and rims, for what felt like months! In the end, this is what he wound up with:

I Need a Night Out!

One of my 'BFF's Cherie and I make it a point to have dinner at least once a month. I really look forward to these outings. They used to be much more exciting. Nights at bars or clubs, sipping wine (or tequila) and heck, we've even been known to light up cigars now and then.

Lately it's just been dinner. A few drinks with dinner but that's it. I've become that boring mom. I'm not spontaneous anymore - or is it that I've become 'responsible' in my old age? Either way, I need a night out - a night of fun!

My birthday was on Sept. 30th and Cherie's is on Oct. 14th so this month's dinner outing is more of a big deal! I want all my BFFs to be there. That means you; Kira, Stacey, Amy, Jenn and of course, Cherie!

Tile for the Bathroom

A while back I posted about needing help deciding which tile to use for our downstairs bathroom. At the time it was between glass and porcelain tile. I think we've tossed those two choices out the window and just might be going with granite tile instead.

Honestly, I don't know and I hate having to make these decisions because I am always second guessing myself!

Don't think that only business owners are the only people who should have business cards. Everyone has some reason to have a business card! When I first opened my work from home forum, I immediately had custom business cards made ad I'd leave them everywhere I went and people who found my business cards did stop by my forum and some even joined!

Lately there seems to be so much to worry about. From this H1N1 flu to seasonal flu to even more cases of mesothelioma lately. It's a wonder any of us can function properly. Between being sick and being sick with worry.

I tend not to worry. I would rather stay informed. I figure, the better educated I am the less worrying I'll do.

We will be in Walt Disney World in just 7 months! I can't wait! Our first time staying as DVC members - we're going to be staying at our 'home' resort, Bay Lake Tower! The pool there looks awesome! Guess I better seek out the best weight loss product now to get me ready for vacation! Hehehee

We will also be going in October 2010! Twice in one year! Yaya!

I Skipped 'Meet the Teacher' Night

On Wednesday it was 'meet the teacher night' but I have been sooo sick with a sinus infection that I skipped it. I really wanted to go ad meet Olivia's teacher but there was just no way. Jeff, my ex-husband, went and he said it went well. He did notice that it seemed new classroom furniture is definitely something the school district should look into getting. It's a shame some districts are on such limited budgets.

So yea, I'm sick - well, getting over sick. No flu though, just a sinus infection!

Vitamin D to Prevent the Flu

Forget a flu vaccine or the 'swine' flu (H1N1) vaccine. Here's why:

The intended effect of a vaccination is to help you build immunity to a potentially harmful organism. However, your body’s immune system is already designed to do this in response to organisms that invade your body naturally.

Most disease-causing organisms enter your body through the mucous membranes of your nose, mouth, pulmonary system or your digestive tract. These mucous membranes have their own immune system, called the IgA immune system, which fights off invading organisms at the point of entry, reducing or even eliminating the need for activation of your body’s immune system.

A vaccination, however, delivers either live or attenuated (dead) viruses directly into your tissues and blood stream through injection, completely bypassing your body’s first line of defense. And when combined with an immune adjuvant, your body’s immune system kicks into high gear in response to the vaccination. If your immune system is too weak to deal with the assault, severe side effects can occur.

Injecting organisms into your body to provoke immunity is contrary to nature, and vaccination carries enormous potential to do serious damage to your health.

To emphasize this point further, when ingested, the vaccine adjuvant squalene is actually recognized by your immune system as an oil molecule native to your body. It has antioxidant properties and is found throughout your nervous system and brain.

The difference between “good” and “bad” squalene is the route by which it enters your body. Injection is an abnormal route of entry which incites your immune system to attack all the squalene in your body, not just the vaccine adjuvant.

As a result, your immune system will attempt to destroy the molecule wherever it finds it, including in places where it occurs naturally, and where it is vital to the health of your nervous system.

Gastric Bypass in a Bottle

Have you ever heard of glucomannan? It's been nicknamed 'gastric bypass in a bottle' because it's a fiber that expands the stomach when taken with 8oz of water so you feel full. This is very interesting to me. I mean, all I need to do to feel full is drink Coke Zero or something similar. I guess the difference is that I will feel hungry again sooner rather than later and apparently with glucomannan feeling hungry doesn't happen - at least not for several hours.

All this hubbub about weight loss aids - have any of you, my wonderful readers, tried anything like this?

I booked a 2 bedroom villa with a Magic Kingdom view for my family - April 30th - May 5th! This is what we'll see when we look out our window:

We wound up going the last day in April/first week in May because it worked out best for our family but it's a bad time for work - that is the busiest week. So, CJ ad I will just take our laptops along - DVC members get free internet access!

Hooked on Intervention on A&E

When CJ was working night shift I found myself staying up past my 'bed time' which was about 9pm, lol - I got hooked on all sorts of cool shows and one was Intervention on A&E - have you seen it? It is really 'addicting' for lack of a better word.

The more I watch the show the more I learn, which is good because well, I have 3 children and while they may only be six, three and two, one day they will be teenagers and young adults. I hope I won't need to know this but it's always good to be informed and be able to spot signs of drug abuse - wow, did I just type that?

Being a mom is frightening, really. There are so many things I do NOT want to even have to think abut but yet I realize my pest plan is to be prepared.

I work from home and one of my biggest concerns was making phone calls for business. I am an account manager for a online company and as an account manager I need to speak with clients on the phone, attend GoToMeetings as well as talk on the phone to fellow employees.

Swine Flu H1N1 Vaccine From Baxter International Is Contaminated

If you take a shot - a shot that clearly has NOT ben thoroughly tested, you are CRAZY! It normally takes years to develop and test a vaccine, so why is this one ready t go so quickly?

Swine Flu H1N1 vaccine producer Baxter International may be producing contaminated flu vaccines. When the Czech Republic tested a vaccine batch on ferrets…they all died.

Did Big Pharma Just Try to Create a Mutant Flu Pandemic?

With all the media focus on a possible government takeover of health care, there’s something that scares me even more. There is open talk of forced vaccinations for the swine flu.

Don’t think it’s possible? Think again. I just saw a news report that the military has offered to assist in the event of a swine flu outbreak. Why the military? And why over what has been a relatively benign disease so far?

Well, that’s just the beginning. It gets far worse. In a story that most media outlets have ignored — except for Bloomberg.com — the Big Pharma company Baxter International distributed contaminated vaccines for swine flu to Austria and 3 neighboring countries. The vaccines contained the H5N1 avian flu virus. The Czech Republic just happened to catch the contamination. They tested a batch on ferrets before shipping it out for injection into humans. All of the ferrets died! It was a major scandal. Had they injected humans, we could be facing a disease that could kill millions.

The word “contamination” suggests an accident. But according to the extremely strict procedures for vaccine production, the “accidental” presence of live avian flu in a swine flu vaccine is an impossibility. It is so remote that some Czech newspapers speculated that Baxter was trying to provoke a pandemic. Such a pandemic would help it reap untold billions in profits from producing the vaccine to counter a bird flu outbreak.

Was it intentional?
