Nursing Pads in various pattern

Which pattern do you prefer for a nursing pad? Some love the traditional round type. Other love the contour pad. For me… definitely the contour pad. Even contour got different shape. So far I had sew the round and the look a like ‘cup’ type.. hahahha.. . I didn’t know how to describe that type.. Just take a look at the nursing pads below. Enough chatting, Siti..

Baby Swaddle

Nur Aina Binti Mohd Fairuz, my newest niece, born on June 4, 2011. I made a swaddle for her as a gift from her Mak Long . I asked my sister whether she had bought a swaddle before and she said yes, and would like another one. Haahahaa… so above is the result.

I never try sew a swaddle before, and I opt to a swaddle that looks like a sleep sack. It got flaps on both right and left side. I put 2” loop tape in the middle so, the flaps will close in the middle and covers Aina’s arms.

The material I choose is from microfleece as the inner layer and of course flannel as the outer. Both are very soft to the baby’s skin.

The above picture is the open flaps with hook tape on both side. The bottom pictures is when the front part folded down and the right is the complete pictures of the swaddle.

I had been asked by my reseller for nursing pad last week. So I did some research for an affordable, waterproof and absorbent combination material for the nursing pad. So after consider several factors, I choose:

Outer Layer: Cotton

Waterproof Layer : PUL

Absorbent Layer: Microfiber

Inner Layer: Bamboo Velour

I hope this nursing pad fits your sister nicely, dear. And thank you for trusting me and patiently wait the end product. What I do love about this nursing pad is the design, contour design and hopefully it gives comfort to the wearer.

Quite a long title, isn’t it . Recently, I had a chance to sew a postpartum CP for my boss. Made of Cotton Velour as the inner layer with the overnight pattern, 13” long. I just got 2 colors of cotton velour if you all like to try one. Hunter Red and Ostrich Green.

Before you look at those prints, have a look at this morning’s rainbow. Seldom I got a chance to see rainbow in the morning. Been taken at MEX while on the way to Kuchai Lama.

Last night I got a chance sew cloth pad for a friend. I love this fabric, for me, the prints are cute. Have a look, see…

Both are the outer layer from cotton fabric for the overnight pad. The inner layer (next to skin) is still fleece. The alternative to fleece is velour.

Flannel fabric is my favorite. Easy to sew with, lots of cute prints to choose from and suitable to most of my sewing stuff. If you choose the flannel as your inner layer for your cd, you must know that it is not water resistant. Your baby’s bum will feel the wet. Sometimes we do make our cd with non water resistant as their inner layer as requested by some mommas as they want to potty train their babies earlier.

After more than a year of not update my blog, due to some constraint, here I’m back again with more cute prints. We did take orders for cd and cloth pad all this while. Mama Cloth Pad

:) Mama Cloth Pad? Hermm.... sure most of you had heard about it. It's the menstrual pad, instead of using the disposable one, we can use the washable pad. Cloth pad are not only useful for menstrual use, they can also be used for incontinence or to keep your underpants clean and dry between periods.

My first attempt using this mama cloth pad was few months back. Being used to cloth diapering for my daughter, so the idea to use cloth pad for myself not too difficult. The reason i switched from disposable pad to cloth pad because of health issue. I got news that most of the disposable pad are not safe for our body.

After using the cloth pads for several months, i can summarize that, it's not that difficult as what others would think it be. There are no smells and wash the cloth pad is easy as washing the cloth diapers.

There are 3 different types of Mama Cloth Pad that i use. It differs depends on one usage. You can use liner when having light or between periods. The regular pad can be use on day time while the overnight on night time or while having heavy flow. All cloth pads are enclosed with snaps.

1) Petite Liner Pad
- 2 layers of flannel or 1 layer of microfiber sandwiched between fleece and flannel

2) Regular Pad
- 2 layers of microfiber sandwiched between fleece and flannel

3) Overnight Pad
- 3 layers of microfiber sandwiched between fleece and flannel

One Size Snap Cloth Diaper

Introducing.. our one size snap cloth diaper that fits from newborn till toddler. The weight range from 3kg to 16kg. This one size snap cloth diaper use the snap down system that you can adjust to get the small, medium and large size.

The inner layer is fleece and the outer layer you can choose from several types of fabric (flannel, cotton, cotton blended and fleece). The choice is yours. The insert are made from 3 layers of microfiber that has snap underneath. This AI2 system is popular because the dry time is quicker. And if the insert is full, you can just change the insert with a new one. No need to change the whole diaper.

Potty Trainer Pants

Trainer.. trainer.. trainer.. who needs trainer.. ? A child who starts to learn potty training :). Trainer unlike diapers. Trainer had been designed for the child to feel the wetness. There is no stay dry fabric in the layer to make the child feel dry. Then a trip to the washroom or potty gets them to acquainted with where they should be doing their business.

One of the reason to switch from diapers to training pants is because the child cannot remove their diaper by themselves. Keep them in diapers until you can see signs that they is about to go.

My baby, Hanan.. hahaha.. still refer her as baby even she is two now.. aware that she is wet or want to go and keep telling me or her dad. So we decided to put her on trainer. On first attempt, she use trainer from 7pm till 10pm and even she wet on the pants but still not leak even i didn't put the waterproof layer. It's the pull up pull down trainer so she could remove the pant easily if she decided to go to the toilet but it didn't happen :), she play and play and just wet the pants :). Maybe next time she will and i hope so.

Below is the table measurement for our trainer pants if you would like to try :). Our trainer pants come in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. You need to measure your child waist and rise and choose the appropriate size that suits your child.

Half Contour One Size Insert

Half Contour One Size Insert were design to fulfill the needs of a trim one size insert. Before this we did a trifold insert for BabyHanan One Size cd. From the feedback we got, the cd runs well, but the trifold a bit bulky when they're folded to meets the specific size. Of course when we use the size S, they're a bit bulky on baby. But we did successfully reduce the bulkiness by using this half contour insert.

The half contour one size insert consists of 3 layers of microfiber + 1 layer of fleece on top. This insert can be folded down using snap button when you need differect size range from size S, M and L. This insert is ideal to use with our multi size cd or one size cd.

To use this insert simply fold the insert by using snap button at the back to get your desired size. Then snap the upper two studs on top to the body shell. Then out you go the completed cd. Just change your insert when it gets full or nearly full.

One Size Hook & Loop (Velcro) - 3kg - 18kg

Presenting our one size Hook & Loop (velcro) version. It fits baby from 3kg to 18kg. The ranges are small, medium and large. All you need to do is to adjust the length by fold down the front piece. Each Babyhanan One Size H&L comes with 1 one size insert.

You can choose the outer layer fabric between flannel, cotton blended or fleece. There are H&L tabs on each wings while the large loop tape on the front piece. The tabs on the wings let you adjust the size of your baby's waist.

The inner layer made from fleece to keep moisture away from you baby's skin. Each wing has their own laundry tab. So you can fold the hook on the loop (laundry tab). The center resides 2 snap for you to snap the insert on.

The insert is made from microfiber and flannel shaped in tri fold. The top layer is fleece. This insert is an AI2 insert which has snap at the bottom of the insert. This one size insert can be use in several sizes: small, medium and large.
