something new... something blue

I love to scrapbook. In fact I have been doing it since I was highschool...before it became cool, and as easy as going to your nearby craft stores for endless isles of embellishments and paper. I cut my own shapes and designs, decorating my album pages with doodles, and anything that I could find to use.

As an artist I love using the artwork I create in my scrapbooking and cards. Each time I make a new painting, I fall in love with it, and want to use it anywhere I can. So naturally I started to combine my two loves... painting & scrapbooking. And it was a wonderful marriage!

My first set I have been playing with nonstop for over a week! I love this set. It combines two of my obsessions right now- the color blue and birds.

I call it Vintage Blue.

Here are the sample pictures of what the kit includes so far. And then I have added some pictures of just a few of the things I have created with this kit.

One of my favorite quotes about children is by Francis Thompson. I don't know many who has illustrated the magic of childhood so perfectly. Can't you just imagine a child at play while you read his words?

(oh, and the art is available in my etsy shop!- you can get it with the quote, or customize it to your child's name!)

As requested... a piece of art just for him.

I seem to paint a plethera of "girl stuff" that usually gets hung up in my two girls' rooms. So he requested something just for him.

this has long been his favorite and most read scripture. (he can recite it by memory, btw)
