Self-esteem is often defined as an individual’s enduring opinion of how much he or she is worth as a person. However, despite this seemingly permanent nature of how one esteems his or her worth, there are ways to make a less than desirable level of self-esteem improve over time. True, there are a huge number of stories that point towards failure, but there are in fact ways to find success in building self-esteem.

To begin, it is important to understand that if your loved one — be it family or friend, suffers from low self-esteem — trying to convince him or her that they are worth so much more than they think they are is not the way to go. In fact, trying to build their self-esteem does not involve any radical shift in perception. Self love and self respect is something that you continually work on and build over time.

Trying to convince people of their self worth by constant affirmation may even backfire, as you are in effect shattering their world view about how badly they see themselves. When these individuals see themselves so negatively, this disturbance of their world view in such sudden and aggressive means may backlash, causing them to violently retaliate or to withdraw from other people almost immediately.

Helping build self-esteem involves a more encouraging than active role on your part. As your loved one continues to discover his or her self-worth, all you have to do is affirm them appropriately as they progress in the process of building the self-esteem they so delicately try to improve.

This is because unlike injuries, or even assistance in homework and the like, developing a healthy level of self-esteem is more a personal journey than anything. People with low self-esteem must begin this journey by slowly accepting themselves, with equal appreciation for their flaws and their gifts. They may then begin to please themselves before seeking to please other people. Once that happens, they begin setting sensible goals for themselves and all the while recognizing the credit they are due in all the things that they do.

The process of self acceptance to greater self love may be aided by trained professionals so this process becomes successful. Often, therapy with trained psychologists is known to work well. In sessions with these psychologists, individuals are given the opportunity to review their negative perceptions, and begin to re-evaluate whatever negative perceptions they may have had about themselves since their childhood.

Participation in activities that help them to discover their gifts and talents have been proven to help a lot. Even as they are undergoing therapy, you can help your loved one pick out an activity or class that they can share in. It will help if you choose an activity that you’ve always felt they could further develop. Music, art, sports, dancing, and the like are good areas to begin.

Not only will they discover whatever talents they have that have gone uncultivated, but they are also able to find an avenue through which they can constructively express themselves and their feelings. Once they gain some feeling of ownership over a particular activity and talent, it can become one of the things they can appreciate more about who they are as people.

Being successful in helping a loved one in the process of building self-esteem involves not only being there for them, but helping them get the help they need from professionals. Act as support in these tough moments, affirming the improvements they are making over time. Help them discover their talents and gifts, and recognize whatever achievements they gain in the process.

You may have the necessary skills for you to become successful, but do you have the mindset for it? You have to remember the way you think is also a powerful tool for you become successful. You will be able to create your life with it and you will also be able to dictate how you will be able to achieve success with it. With the way you think, you will be able to either create heaven or hell.

So, how can you create success with the way you think?

The answer to this is simple. All you need to do is to think like successful people do. This is called oriented thinking. You learned how you think since you were a child. You watched your parents do it and developed it from other people, such as your friends, caretakers, and other people who surrounded you in your life.

By developing how you think, you are emulating the way other people think. You will develop habits that you learned from other people and you have to remember that these habits are not who you really are.

Your thinking habits are very important to develop and improve if you want to be successful. If you become aware of the habit you use, you will be able to learn how you can make use of it and learn how to think like successful people do. Your thinking habits will determine your self-esteem. If you have a negative thinking habit that affects your self-esteem negatively, then you will definitely not have the courage to take risks, which means that you will less likely become successful in life.

Successful people take risks. They know what they are worthy of and they also know what they are capable of achieving.

Success is not something that you will be able to achieve overnight. And, this is what most people have a problem about. You need to consider that many people want to get rich almost overnight. Besides, who doesn’t? But, this is not how the real world works. You need to work hard for you to become successful. You shouldn’t just sit around inside your comfort zone waiting for things to happen for you to take action but you need to take action for things to happen.

This is how successful people think. By emulating how they think and act in certain situations, you can be sure that you will be able to get closer to your goals and finally become successful in life.

Experts say that positive outlook is one of the most important things that a person should have to live a good life. It is just so unfortunate that not many people let feelings such as shyness get the better of them. And what’s worse is that they don’t have innate means of motivating themselves not to be shy that is why many of them just give up and live a remorseful life filled with negative things.

Many people still don’t realize that shyness would be a constant factor in their lives. And because of this inability to understand and accept certain situations, people just give up the chance to a better life. Experts say that shyness is the number one cause that kills the people’s desire to be motivated. This is because of so shyness, many people think that it is useless for them to put on a fight since they will only taste defeat later.

Self-motivation kills shyness

However, although experiencing shyness discourages people to want more things in life, this should not be enough reason just to let the chance of living a better life go. If you think that shyness hinder your process you to have a positive outlook in life, the best thing would be to know the things that motivate you. You can start with this by letting go of the bad experiences that cause your shyness.

Letting the past go, experts say, is the first step to deal with shyness. This is because if you already accepted there are things that are beyond your control, you will be able to forgive yourself and start anew. If you just keep thinking of the past, this will serve as a reminder of your failure. And if you keep thinking about your defeat, you will undergo a never-ending cycle of blaming yourself for the things that you did not really opted to do. If you want to start with overcoming shyness, try to finish each day and forgive yourself for the things that you were not able to finish or do today. If you were able to do that, you will look forward to a new day and new opportunities that will come along your way.

Always take one step ahead. To be able to continuously motivate one’s self despite feeling shy most of the time, it is always best to take one step ahead of things. Meaning, you need to plan and do things ahead of time so you will be given more opportunity or chance in case the first plan did not work. Taking and thinking one step ahead are the best foundations of dealing with shyness because if you were able to develop these, it would be easier for you to take tougher and bigger problems or challenges along the way.

Once positive attitude is set, it is easier to look overcome shyness. For one to develop positive attitude, he or she must undergo self-reassessment to find out what are his or her strengths as well as the weaknesses. Once all of these have been identified, it will be easier to turn the bad ones into good ones and there would also be greater chances of making the positive ones better.

When you are under stress, you do certain things that you believe are quick relief. The problem here is that some popular stress management techniques do not help relieve stress and others do more harm than good. The following are techniques that are believed to help a person cope with stress but are actually not:

Undereating or overeating. One of the obvious symptoms of stress is drastic change in eating pattern. Undereating may lead to malnutrition which has several side effects including hunger and poor health, which in turn, worsen the effects of stress. Excessive eating on the other hand is equally dangerous especially when under stress. Eat a well-balanced diet instead. Start your day by eating good breakfast to keep your energy up, followed by nutritious meals throughout the day.

Sitting long hours in front of TV or computer. TV shows and computer activities stimulate your brain. That is the reason you may find it more difficult to sleep at night after watching a movie or doing something on your computer. Prolonged hours in front of the television and computer also take away hours you can allot to other physical activities, making you feel weak and unhealthy, adding to stress.

Procrastinating. Do not wait for tomorrow if you can do it today. Procrastinating adds to stress especially if the tasks begin to pile up.

Excessive sleeping. Sleeping too much makes you feel tired. And if you are tired, you think irrationally because you are stressed out. Make sure that you get enough rest each day. Maintain a healthy sleeping pattern by sleeping and waking up at a specific time.

Smoking, drinking and drugs are easy escapes from stress, but the relief is temporary. Since you are just masking the problems, you are not really solving anything.

Not facing the problem by filling up every minute of the day. Staying busy the whole day may seem to be a good solution to solve stress. But the fact is, just like smoking, drinking and drugs, you are only masking the problem. So instead to moving on and feeling better, you are stuck on the same problem.

Withdrawing from friends, relatives and family. When you are undergoing much stress, a support group can come in handy. However, staying away from everybody may lead to depression.

Taking out stress on others. Physical violence, angry outbursts, and lashing out are definitely inadvisable.

Kundalini is the serpent force that resides in the root chakra at the base of your spine. The kundalini is your source of spiritual energy.

Activating the kundalini will allow you to reach an enlightened state and will give you spiritual advancement. Clinical Hypnotherapist Steve G. Jones just released a brand new program, “Complete Kundalini”,which will teach you how to clear and activate your seven chakras.

Improperly raising the kundalini can be dangerous. However, with a skilled practitioner guiding you, like Steve, you will be able to properly raise the kundalini and harness its power.

–> Complete Kundalini

You’ll receive 8 audio modules that take you from A to Z in Kundalini activation. And to ensure your success even further, Steve is going to include a powerful hypnosis recording.

You’ll go from a novice to expert.

Kundalini activation will give you new and powerful abilities. Imagine being able to focus for long periods of time. The awakening of the kundalini will allow you to concentrate and focus on anything for a long period of time.

Awakening the kundalini will give you an abundance of energy. Imagine the energy created by this heightened state. Simply put, Kundalini activation will greatly improve your life.

This will revolutionize the way you act in your life. It will enable you to experience all the benefits Kundalini activation has to offer.

Here’s why you must order today – Steve has priced this powerful system at what I consider to be a very generous and fair price… and in fact.. it is only a market test. He will also be testing higher prices for these programs.

Here’s something you must realize – He reserves the right to jack up the price… probably by $20 minimum… at any time without notice. Shoot… that could happen tomorrow, next week, or later today.

So, if you see that the investment is still just $19.95, consider yourself lucky and hurry and order right now.

If you don’t order, you’ll end up paying more later and kick yourself for not acting now. Please don’t tell me I didn’t warn you! So just take advantage of this offer today and get the “steal of a lifetime” by ordering today. Do it now.

Go NOW before Steve changes his mind
Unless you are Donald Trump who has the skills and mindset on becoming successful, you have to remember that becoming successful in whatever it is you want to be successful at can be difficult to do.

There are thousands of self-help books and videos available for sale out there but only some which can really help you out. Some will just fill your head with useless advice and tips that will just make the creator of the book or video more successful and richer.

The real secret to be successful is to think like successful people do. For example, most people think about waiting for the right moment to act. However, if you think like successful people do, you will often act to find the perfect moment. What this means is that you need to find the opportunity to success instead of letting opportunity to pass you by for you to grab.

This is what separates successful people from people who are still living in a dream world.

If you want to stop living in a dream world, then you better start acting. You should start changing the way you think about how to become successful. What you need to do is start acting and thinks like successful people do.

Thinking like a successful person means that you need to know how to set goals. Never set goals that are impossible to achieve. Also, set goals that you can be passionate about. If you set goals that you really want to achieve, then you will likely achieve your goals as you will find a way for you to achieve that goal. You want to make it happen.

Goals are also what motivate people to achieve success, which is why you need to set goals that you are passionate in achieving. And, you need to set sensible goals. Don’t set impossible goals, such as earning a million dollars in a matter of weeks if you only own a small retail store. Instead, try to make the million-dollar mark as your long-term goal. With this long-term goal, try to make a series of short-term goals that will eventually lead to achieving your long-term goal.

These are the things that you need to remember about how to be successful. If you think like successful people do and do what they did to become successful, then you will very likely achieve your dreams of becoming successful.

Time management is the central skill of success. Your ability to manage your time, to focus and channel your energies on your highest value tasks, will determine your rewards and your level of accomplishment in life more than any other factor.

Save Hundreds of Hours and Thousands of Dollars in Personal Advancement
Your mind is your most precious asset. You must be continually working to increase the quality of your thinking. One of the best ways is to turn driving time into learning time. Listen to educational CDs or audio cassettes in your car. The average driver, according to the American Automobile Association, drives 12,000 to 25,000 miles each year, spending 500 to 1000 hours that you spend each year in your car. That is the equivalent of 12 1/2 to 25 forty-hour weeks. This is the same as two full university semesters spent behind the wheel of your car each year.

Use Traveling Time as Learning Time
If you did nothing but use that traveling time as learning time, this decision alone could make you one of the best educated people of your generation. Many people have gone from rags to riches simply by listening to audio programs as they drive to and from work.

Attend Every Seminar
In addition, for personal and professional development, you should attend every seminar you can. You can often save yourself 100’s of hours of reading and researching by attending a seminar given by an authority in his or her field. You can learn ideas, techniques and methods that can save you hours, days, even months of hard work and research on your own.

Increase Your Earnings
Remember, to earn more, you must learn more. Your outer world of results will always correspond to your inner world of preparation. Continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field.

Action Exercises
Now, here are two things you can do to put these ideas to work in your life immediately.

First, purchase an audio program that can help you to be happier and more effective today. Begin listening to it immediately. Resolve never to listen to music in your car when you can turn driving time into learning time.

Second, seek out seminars and training programs given by experts in your field. Sit close to the front, take careful notes, and apply the best ideas that you learn immediately.

A good memory is essential for everyone. From schooling to the later stage of life, having a sharp memory will give many benefits. There are some simple things that you can do to improve your memory. Remember the brain is also composed of brain cells and neurons that need to be nourished with natural nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. If you want to improve and sharpen your memory, you can do simple healthy habits that are easy to memorize.

Here are the healthy habits that can always improve your brain’s ability to process and remember needed information:

1. Managing stress can reduce brain damage because it lowers the stress hormone cortisol.

2. Regular exercise to increase oxygen to the brain, reduce the risk for health disorders that can cause loss of memory and improve effects of brain chemicals that protect brain cells.

3. Regular sleep for memory empowerment and proper concentration

4. Not smoking because carcinogens increase the risk of vascular diseases that can also lead to stroke and oxygen deficiency in the brain.

You have probably been bombarded of the idea that a healthy diet based on healthy foods composed of fruits and vegetables and essential fats can provide several benefits including our brain’s ability to recall information. Some essential foods that are needed for improvement of memory are the following:

1. Omega 3 fatty acids are focused in the brain and are credited with memory function. They are distinguished as “essential” fat, against other kinds of fats thus protecting the body from harmful information and high cholesterol. You can get omega 3 fatty acids from walnuts, flax seeds, cold-water fishes such as tuna and halibut.

Since older people are more prone to lack Vitamin B12 and folic acids, a supplement for these vitamins is a good idea. However, nutrients can work well if they are freshly administered through natural foods.

2. Vitamin B complex such as B12 and folic acid protect neurons by destroying homocysteine, a toxic amino acid. They can also aid in creating red blood cells which can transport oxygen throughout the body. Best food sources of Vitamin B complex are strawberries, legumes, citrus fruits and soybeans.

3. Vitamin C and E are anti-oxidants that destroy toxins and free radical in the body. These free radicals are formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules that they can damage cells. Vitamin C can also improve the oxygen flow through the brain. Foods that are natural anti-oxidants are blueberries, tomatoes, broccoli, green tea, nuts and citrus fruits.

Ageing is the natural enemy of a sharp memory. There are different factors that can cause brain ageing:

1. Vulnerability of the brain to age-related diseases that can affect its ability to recall information.

2. Not enough neurons which can significantly affect the activity of brain chemicals such as neurotransmitters and receptors.

3. Decreased blood circulation in the brain.

However, for healthier adults, these changes represent more of a decline of the brain’s ability to absorb and store information. The accumulated information which your brain had gathered for many years will remain compressed. You can recall long-term memories but it will take time.

However, some older people can develop more problems with memory that can be the result of diseases such as Alzheimer’s.

Do you ever wonder what it is that allows some people to become so very successful, while most of us struggle just to get by?

It’s easy to think that they have something special, something the rest of us have no access to. This is half right. They do have something special. But it’s not something that’s out of our reach. Anybody can get access to that secret ingredient that makes those people successful.

And many people have already done just that. They have tapped into and are using the same “Patterns of Excellence” that have helped those special few to achieve their success.

And you can join them. Here’s how.

Adam Khoo, millionaire and best-selling author, has created a seminar where he teaches others those very Patterns of Excellence. The seminar costs $1,600, and that may be out of reach for a lot of people. But now, he has decided to make the information available to a wider audience at a small fraction of the price of the seminar; as a home study program version.

That home study program contains the following:

10 CD-length audio files
10 transcripts of the audios
a 153 page workbook/manual
and a bonus book: Minds of Winners
All of it is downloadable either as mp3 files or as pdf files.

Since you may be wondering how anything could possibly have that kind of transformative power, Adam starts his course by sharing his own story: Contrary to what you might think, he wasn’t always a millionaire. He was actually kicked out of school and had extreme difficulty to find any school that would even take him in. But then he encountered the exact mind set technology you’ll learn in Patterns of Excellence, and he turned his life around dramatically. He became a valedictorian, and then, within just a few years, a Millionaire when he was 26 years old. He also became a best-selling author and one of the top peak performance coaches and speakers in Asia.

And in his home study course, you will gain access to the same strategies Adam used to achieve his own success. You’ll discover how to copy and model the strategies of success that you see in the successful people you admire, and, as you start applying them in your own life, get the same results.

If you have setbacks, and you will, you’ll learn how those super achievers deal with setbacks, and how you can do the same.

The key technology you will learn in Patterns of Excellence is something called Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). And the 10 CDs of your home study program provide you with some of the clearest and most immediately usable explanations and directions of how to apply NLP in your own life that I have ever come across.

CD1 – The Ultimate Success Formula

The first CD gives you a detailed preview of the whole course and also introduces you to Adam’s Ultimate Success Formula and how it holds the key to achieving any result you want in life. This is the secret that separates those who achieve what they set out to do and those who don’t. It explains how anybody, if they put their mind to it, can become a success. It’s also what helped Adam achieve his own success.

Even the most successful people experience setbacks, but somehow, they bounce back quickly. We have all heard of stories of millionaires and even billionaires who bounce back from near-bankruptcy to being millionaires and billionaires once again at record speed. Donald Trump comes to mind, as does Bill Bartmann. How do they do that?

Adam walks you through that so that you too can overcome setbacks and failure and use them to achieve your goals even faster.

CD2 – The Power Of States & Physiology

The second CD teaches you how to use your body to program your mind for success. It helps you to stay in that high-achiever mindset at all times by helping you to gain control of your emotions. Of course, some of the finer points will become a lot clearer as you move through the program.

CD 3 will delve more deeply into the technicalities of NLP. It will introduce you to something called “submodalities,” a key to how to achieve desired emotional states and break through setbacks and undesirable patterns.

CD 4 deals with your beliefs and how they determine whether you’re successful or not. It will show you how those beliefs are created and how you have complete control over them – so you can change them so they will serve you instead of sabotaging you.

CD 5 helps you to design your life and introduces you to another extremely powerful concept in NLP: Reframing. Between those two, you can gain control over just about anything that has been holding you back to date.

Of course, there’s much more in the remaining five CDs. You’ll learn about the power of values and how to make adjustments to your values so that serve you and help you achieve your goals. You’ll learn about how to build rapport with literally anyone and how to communicate effectively, both crucial ingredients to success.

The next two CDs are my favorites: they introduce you to extremely powerful language patterns that will help you to have such powerful influence on others it will absolutely amaze you. There’s the so-called Milton Model, named after Milton Erickson who developed it. And then there’s what’s called the Meta Model.

Both of them are powerful tools to change people’s beliefs. And as a fringe benefit, you’ll be able to claim back your own power as you see through the persuasive techniques of politicians and advertisers who are using some of those techniques on you.

The last CD pulls everything together into usable strategies you can use every day. It also helps you pinpoint dysfunctional strategies you might be using right now that are holding you back, and replace them with ones that help you achieve your goal.

What’s included in the package?

The 10 audio files. Complete transcripts for all 10 audios. And an excellent 153 page workbook that will accompany you as you work your way through the CDs. It has illustrations that will make some concepts easier to understand, summaries, key points, check lists, work sheets, and plenty of room for notes as you do the many exercises that Adam will guide you through as you listen to the audios.

Exercises? You bet. They are what really makes this work. It’s a transformational program, and, if you will forgive my using a phrase that has almost become a cliché by now: It works if you work it. But if you don’t work it, all bets are off. You might feel momentarily inspired, but unless you actually follow through on the inspiration with real action, not much will change.

So go ahead and do the exercises. Work your way through the workbook. You will be very glad you did.

Imagine you had paid the full price for the workshop. Would you skip a day? Heck, no! So don’t skip “a day” here either. Just do it all.

Of course, once you have filled everything in, the workbook will also serve as an ideal refresher course whenever you need to review some of the concepts. And the more care you took when you filled it in at first, the more valuable it will be to you in the long run.

Like Adam’s other programs, Patterns of Excellence provides you with powerful and actionable information. All of it is presented in easy-to-follow step-by-step fashion. And the sum total of it is bound to change your life – if you do the work. It’s literally a blueprint for achieving the success you desire. If you just want pretty book to add to your hard drive, skip this one. If you’re ready to do the work and take your life to the next level, though, this is a must-have.

Self-esteem is something innate. It is something that our parents and friends helped us develop when we were young and as we grow older, this is still being developed. This means that it can change and if have somehow lost your way, here are a few things that can help.

First, you have to find out what is causing your self-esteem to go down. There are no gauges or tests for this but it is pretty obvious when people look at you or when you find the time to look in the mirror.

You simply have to snap out of it because you are only human. We have to accept we are good in certain things and poor in others. If you are able to figure that out, you can focus your energy on things you know you excel in rather than wasting time on trivial matters.

Now there are people who may make fun of your limitations. They may even try to destroy you or take advantage of this weakness to hurt you so be strong and don’t let these bother you at all. It will even be better to hang out only with people that accept you for whom you are in the same manner that you will accept them for their limitations.

This leads us to the next phase to get our self-esteem back and that is to surround yourself with people you are comfortable with. You can even take it to the next level by telling them to recognize you for your qualities because hearing it from other people makes us feel better about ourselves.

You can do this by striking a conversation casually or by seeking for one formally. At work, employees are appraised every year and this could mean an increase in your salary or even a promotion. If you are vain, have someone conduct a survey about you and then read the results.

But do you really need someone to tell you you’re good qualities. Not necessarily because you already know what they are. Look at your past awards in school and in extracurricular activities. Review what you have done for the company and just think what would happen if you did not carry out your plan or offer your suggestion.

Will things be different? There is always that possibility so don’t sell yourself short. If ever someone praises you for doing a good job, accept it and thank them for recognising your efforts.

Believe it or not, you could lose your self-esteem if someone made you feel bad and you were drawn to it. This means that it could have been avoided and the only way that can happen is if you have high self-esteem.

You should probably not have been too affected by what that person said. We have bad days and that person probably got it but that must not get into your system. If it does, it is like getting a cold and this will spread which could also lower morale.

The truth is, you never lost your self-esteem. It was always there. This can even happen to the best of us but if we are able to overcome it, you will surely be back to your old self.
