Esther is the 1st book among the three. And, the reason for their exile is their own sin. The author of Esther is unknown.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Esther is purely historical among other manuscripts, as there's no "God" word mentioned in this book but you can see by understanding that God, is the main point in this story.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In verse 1-14, God has a good plan; and in verse 15-23, He will bless His people. Here in verse 1-4, the plan to look for a new Queen doesn't matter either rich or poor - can become a queen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Citadel means place of refuge, fortress or a place to protect them. It's like taking a daily bath - to be cleanse by the word of God. One of the characteristics of Esther is being humble.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hadassah is the other name of Esther. The picture of Mordecai here is just like God, in reality we are being Fatherless and he is taking the responsibility for Esther.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;2 Corinthians 6:18 And,&lt;br /&gt;   “I will be a Father to you, &lt;br /&gt;   and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 John 3:1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We can see here that God is working in us, He is faithful. Esther and Mordecai feared the Lord. As it teaches the inner beauty is the most important. We will receive crown of righteousness according to our works.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Psalm 113:7-8 &lt;br /&gt;7 He raises the poor from the dust &lt;br /&gt;   and lifts the needy from the ash heap; &lt;br /&gt;8 he seats them with princes, &lt;br /&gt;   with the princes of his people.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The picture of Esther here is obedience of love to God. Gallows is like a straight wood with a sharp-edge. The first point, is to be consistent with His word. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the book of Numbers, Balaam was a curse by the Israelites. But that curse turns into blessing. The reason for learning God's word is because just like Jesus, He was a curse for some but made a blessing for all of us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nowadays, the world is corrupt and pervert. Jesus is the light of the world whoever follows Him will never be led into darkness.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Psalm 19:7-11  7 The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. 11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Learn more to obey, seek the Bible, and listen to our conscience, and it is important to listen to the word of God. Seek God's word and be separated from the worldly things. And, do not neglect the church.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Timothy 5:17-18  17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 18 For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and “The worker deserves his wages.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Deuteronomy 14:22 Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 Timothy 3:10  They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The second point, Observing the day of the Lord. Don't let your blessings turn into a curse. Set our priority and our priority is Jesus. Observe means to obey, it's not just to watch but to obey.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Exodus 34:21 “Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Exodus 23:12 “Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God will remember your work. We have to encourage the people around us to go to fellowship.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Hebrews 13:16  And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The third point, preserve yourself and look after your family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Exodus 34:16 And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Deuteronomy 7:3 Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ecclesiastes 7:26  I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nehemiah reform the people. Living a life of worship begins to us. As representatives of God we should set example to everyone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are a father, teach your family to spend time and feeding them by the word of God. Don't allow yourselves to be caught up in work, but spend time with your family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ezra means help, a priest and a scribe. Levite's were like assistant pastors, they are the back up of the priest and also they are the one who prepare the things for the priest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are encourage to praise God. Spending time with Him and you will learned a lot. Annals means history. The word thanks or thanksgiving are mention in this chapter so many times.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Psalm 134:1-3 Praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD who minister by night in the house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the LORD.3 May the LORD bless you from Zion, he who is the Maker of heaven and earth.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Amazing that in the Bible it was never mentioned that you need to have a perfect voice to be a worship leader. So weather you have a good voice or not sing praises to the Lord.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Hebrews 10:10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even if you are behind the scene serving the Lord, you are also important to Him. Sometimes in His song, in God's word or people encourage you, makes you purify but the best thing is to do your devotion.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you minister to God, you should be clean and purify.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Hebrews 5:1-3   Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wherever you are you should always praise God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;James 5:13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? It was a huge sacrifice.&lt;br /&gt;Jesus was the living sacrifice. He received all the pain that was supposed to be for us. Without holiness no one can see God.&lt;br /&gt;God separate himself to Jesus because he is now getting all the sins of the world in some sense God allow this to happen in order to save us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Hebrews 5:7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In our walk with the Lord we also need to sacrifice our time and effort.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Humility is thinking of others and not himself only.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jesus was the perfect attonement.&lt;br /&gt;Christ is now opening the gate of heaven to all the believers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Turn to Isaiah 53:9-12&lt;br /&gt;We will see that the good shepherd lay down his life for his sheep.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,[a] so that we may serve the living God!&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We can now serve the Lord because with Jesus God made us qualified. As the curtain was thorned from up to down it means that God is reaching out to man and not man reaching out to God. Keep in mind that the curtain was thorn from top to bottom and not bottom to top.&lt;br /&gt;We can now pray directly to God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Hebrews 10:19-22 19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The saints in the old testament was risen from the death after the resurrection of Christ.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Daniel 12:2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The real measure of the person wealth is what they have invested for eternity. When you give tithes to God you're investing for eternity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Investing upon the Lord is also the same as don't lie and cheat and keeping the commandments of God. All the scriptures should be obeyed.  All our labor for the Lord is not in vain. As Christians we should be a role model to everyone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Deuteronomy 28:1-14 &lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Blessings for Obedience&lt;br /&gt;    1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:&lt;br /&gt;   3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.&lt;br /&gt;   4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.&lt;br /&gt;   5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.&lt;br /&gt;   6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.&lt;br /&gt;   7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.&lt;br /&gt;   8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. Avoid un-equally yoked. In the 6-years they will work but to 7th year they will only harvest, they will rest like the Sabbath day and it is a year that they will rest. And God promised that when the 6th year will come, God will double their harvest. It simply means to us today, that when it comes to a Sabbath day (God's day) they should rest and take time in the Lord.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Malachi 3:10 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 Corinthians 9:6-8  6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 Chronicles 29:14   14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They give tithes to the Lord. The temple before is the building but now the temple of the Holy Sprit is our body. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In this chapter, it all talks about old testament. In the Pentateuch books, was the first sin of man from Adam. Then, the rainbow reminded Noah of His promise that He will not going to flood the Earth again. Then in Abraham have two sons, Ismael and Isaac. And then Joseph became the priest in Egypt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;Genesis means beginning, Exodus means exit. Leviticus is walk in instruction. Numbers is the walk of faithfulness. Deuteronomy is the second land.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;From verse 1-4, brokenness of heart; 5-32, the goodness of God; and 33-38. We Christians should be separated from this world. Some Israelite's are reading God's word, while some worshiping God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Abraham means father of exalted. Egypt was a symbol of sin. God said if your hungry then ask and you will receive. Sometimes they call the Lord but also sometimes not.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They remember their forefathers what they did in doing sin against God. We are slaves doing sin but we are free if we change our lives and turn to God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once Jesus Christ is in your life, you already have all you want. This is the same when you're with the worldly things, wanting the desire it, these are comparable to eating junk foods. And it will be hard for us to obey God's word because the worldly things gets in the way. It is more relevant that we should be more interested in God's word.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The two main points in this chapter are; in verse 1-12, we should learn God's word attentively.&lt;br /&gt;And, in verse 13-18, we should apply what we learn and want to hear. Now, what we need to hear are the five books, or Pentateuch - the Torah.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We need to desire to hear God's word and this is the commandment of God. "Attentively" means carefully you need to be interested. We must read our Bible and listen attentively.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Revelation 2:29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These people are supporting Nehemiah in verse 4. One of the Bible Teachers says; No one ever graduates studying the Bible, until you will see the author face to face.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;2 Peter 1:12 So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Praise in Hebrew word means bharak, which means a sacrifice of praise. Disciple means learner. Jesus is an expert expounding word of God. This is the good thing when we serve the Lord, we may not have the physical blessing but the joy of the Lord will always remain in us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The fool or stupid usually don't want correction especially coming from God. Booths here is a cottage.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Deuteronomy 16:13-16 13 Celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing floor and your winepress. 14 Be joyful at your festival—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites, the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns. 15 For seven days celebrate the festival to the LORD your God at the place the LORD will choose. For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.&lt;br /&gt;16 Three times a year all your men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. No one should appear before the LORD empty-handed:&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When we celebrate the goodness of God, it will bring joy to you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Leviticus 23:36 For seven days present food offerings to the LORD, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present a food offering to the LORD. It is the closing special assembly; do no regular work.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt; What makes a different, it doesn't matter how much you read Bible but if you dont apply it, it's unworthy. No word, no food. We have to live with Integrity. In verse 1-38, every individual must live in truth. In verse 39-73, live in impurity. One of the marks of an individual who lives in truth, when he or she continue the work. In our Christian walk in the Lord, we must also have perseverance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Citadel means fortress. Key verse in this chapter is in verse 2, "..because he was a man of integrity and feared God more than most men do." Change is an optional and we should allow ourselves to live with integrity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 Corinthians 4:2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We need to follow the example of Job, Moses and Nehemiah. Integrity really lacks in a Christian life. Nehemiah instructed the people to have guards, to protect them from enemy. We must live on awareness with integrity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— &lt;br /&gt;   whom shall I fear? &lt;br /&gt;The LORD is the stronghold of my life— &lt;br /&gt;   of whom shall I be afraid?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How do you know if God speaking to you? Through his word, it might also be in the people around you or in dreams. He gives knowledge and strength. Whatever is you work, you must live with integrity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before if the priest go to the holly of hollies and if a sinful man goes in there he will die. In the sight of God, we are transparent. Transparent means sincere without wax. Fear means we honor God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We also need to be sanctified. Sanctification means is an on going work of the Holy Spirit. We have to give for the work of God. Notice in verse 70, not most of all are contributing for the Lord. When you don't give tithes for the Lord, you are like a thief. Read it in Malachi 3, being steward for God's money.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Be reminded to live with truth and integrity. To commemorate and observe it. If you know what God did for you then you would celebrate it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Passover is also known as feast of unleaven bread.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How to prepare passover?&lt;br /&gt;Look at Exodus 12:4-8&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;Am I worthy to take this communion?&lt;br /&gt;Of course we are all sinners. But we need to have the right relationship with the Lord. And we must examine ourselves.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It symbolize the sacrifice of Jesus to save us from our sins.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Corinthians 11:25  In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When we celebrate communion we must have sincere hearts. One of the Bible teacher says "As Christians we are not possess by Satan but influenced by Satan". In our previous chapter, Nehemiah help the poor and now the enemy are attacking them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In verse 1-9, talks about not to give in to the enemy. The wall is almost complete. They attack Nehemiah, who are they? &lt;br /&gt;Sanballat means strength. Tobiah means pleasing with the Lord, he's an ammonite. Geshem means rain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Place of Ono is going east from Israel. When we work for the Lord, the enemy will always attack you. "I am carrying on a great project" means I will continue to do the work of God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Timothy 4:15-16 15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;We are reminded to do and carry out the problem. Satan he has the same tactics to tempt us, to listen to his voice. If you notice here the enemy is repeating that they send a 4 times message to Nehemiah.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have the prayer to learn the word of God. If you give in to the enemy, surely you will fall to the enemy. Before when a governor received an unsealed letter, means they are not respecting (Nehemiah) the governor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Peter 2:12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;It doesn't not comes from God when we boast. We have to do His will, be still and know God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many false prophets will tempt you. We should always listen to God not on people around you. God is will be the one who will do the revenge and not us. In verse 17-19, don't forget the enemy has allies. As a leader, you must encourage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are the 3 problem of Nehemiah; population increase, increase in tax and they have no food to eat. On building the wall, was not a problem because the king sustain the expenses but the workers are Nehemiah's problem.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The tax they pay is from the debt they also had. As we Christians, if one of us have had a problem we should stick together and pray. Nehemiah got angry because the people were disunited and building of the wall stopped.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Nehemiah rebuke them with love. He also said to them walk in fear with God. So the one who took the vineyards gave back to the one who own it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for us Christians, we should be reminded. Nehemiah is different from the past official governor. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Daniel 12:2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Right hand is the place of honor. While the Left is place of dishonor. The sheep is the symbol of innocent.&lt;br /&gt;The earth is our temporary place and our citizenship is in heaven.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;  &lt;br /&gt;John 14:2-3 &lt;br /&gt;2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do we deserve the inheritance from God?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How should we response to all of these promises of God?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do not be conform by the the pattern of this world but be renew. And now, we are blessed because God gave us our own church building and we are not renting anymore. In short we can never doubt God plans for our lives.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"We" here are Jews and the author here obvously is Nehemiah. Ammonite are enemies of Jews. 1st point in verse 1-3, expect there is speculation. A leader should be an example. Paul the apostle said; "When we are cursed, we are blessed. When we are persecuted, we endure." Jesus promised us you will have rewards from heaven, when you are persecuted in being righteous. When we are weak, He is strong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the tools from the enemy is you will be mocked. In verse 4, we can see Nehemiah's reaction that he turn to God and he did not fight back what they have done to him. Jesus want us to love our neighbor and don't treat them as enemy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Ephesians 6:11-17 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt; &lt;br /&gt;As for us, when we do the work of God make sure you do it wholeheartedly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;blockquote&gt;2 Corinthians 8:17  For Titus not only welcomed our appeal, but he is coming to you with much enthusiasm and on his own initiative.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Hebrews 13:21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember to pray when the enemies attack you. Prayer is like a fuel, we need it to go on our walk of faith in God. And prayer is also a battery, we need to be recharge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt; If you focused on our enemy, you will surely truly failed. But when you focused on God, you will never failed. Know that God will support you and we should support each other. &lt;br /&gt; Sub points in verse 4: don't let fears hinder you in doing God's work, remember the Lord and fight for our brothers. The word "work" here are said many times. When you work make sure you have the sword, meaning the word of God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Galatians 6:9  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Collosians 1:29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; 1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Whatever work you're doing consider that as gifts - be it just taking care of kids, laundry etc. Work for God's glory.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean for His own understanding and He will direct your path straight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt; &lt;br /&gt;The one who hid the money in the ground represent the people who neglect the gifts that God has given to them.&lt;br /&gt;Proverbs&lt;br /&gt;Honor the Lord with your crops, with the first fruit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we listen to what the worldly people listen and sing what they sing, then what difference do we have with the unbelievers?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have our own standard of living and not the standard of living in the world. We should not imitate the worldly people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In verse 19&lt;br /&gt;Reckoning will happen when He comes. Open and surrender your heart to God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. So when you get brokenhearted, God will restore you. God gave them authority to rebuild the wall. Nehemiah involve the people to work together.&lt;br /&gt;The important thing is that when you do things - dedicate yourself to it. Dedicate also means to work together. As believers, we need to dedicate our work to Jesus. In order to lead people, you need to listen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eliashib means whom God restore. Expect that some workers are lazy. We have to be diligent not to be idle. Whatever we do, do it for the glory of God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Repair, repairs, and repaired said in this chapter 37 times. Its a long process to rebuild the wall. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.&lt;br /&gt;1 Corinthians 16:13  Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Verse 45-51&lt;br /&gt;Wait with sincere devotion.&lt;br /&gt;Be Godly servant and be faithfull and wise. Do the things of God or do it everything for God's glory.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God will reward us for what we have done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The second coming of Christ People will become corrupt and be wicked but the people were just merrying and having fun.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Noah - means peace. And His ark symbolizes the savior.&lt;br /&gt;As a believes we are already on board at the boat and don't give up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Romans 13:13-14&lt;br /&gt;13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;People will have no concern in the things of God. As we celebrate Christmas it's because of Jesus Christ. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Hand of Prayers:&lt;br /&gt;Thumb is close to your heart pray for your love ones.&lt;br /&gt;Point finger remind to pray for your boss teachers.&lt;br /&gt;Middle finger is the heighest pray for the rulers the president etc.&lt;br /&gt;Ring finger pray for the weak christians the baby christians the sick.&lt;br /&gt;Pinkie finger is yourself. Pray for yourself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The main message of this chapter is to motivate us to live rightly today, to live a Godly life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We can't always make excuse "that we are only human" that is the main reason we should depend on God and not in ourselves we have been redeemed from wickedness to life therefore our new nature is to feed the Spirit not the flesh.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The commitment of being always present in all ministry is not the sign of true commitment but making your heart right with the Lord is the sign of commitment you love doing the ministry rather than being forced to do the ministry.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Thessalonians 2:9-11&lt;br /&gt;9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Isaiah 13:10 10 The stars of heaven and their constellations &lt;br /&gt;   will not show their light. &lt;br /&gt;The rising sun will be darkened &lt;br /&gt;   and the moon will not give its light.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why did the people cried rather than being happy for the coming of Christ?&lt;br /&gt;Because unbelievers will suddenly realized they have chosen the wrong way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In verse 32 to 34 are the prediction of His coming&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Peter 4:7 7 The end of all things is near. But to give realization and insights that there is the beginning and the end. Expect the coming of Jesus&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;John 2:20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Set our mind and hearts in things above.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Luke 21:5 Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?&lt;br /&gt;Jesus will come like a thief in the night the thief will always come when you least expect it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Matthew 24:42-44&lt;br /&gt;42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What are the reason that people can be deceived?&lt;br /&gt;That good works can save you?&lt;br /&gt;The danger is they have sealed it without knowledge. It's important to know the truth. To look out and don't let anyone leads you to error. Be self feeders and read the word of God on your own don't rely only to the church just once a week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Ephesians 4:14  Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God uses these to bring spirituall awakening, to remind us to go back to God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Thessalonians 5:3 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 Peter 4:18-20&lt;br /&gt;18 And,&lt;br /&gt;   “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, &lt;br /&gt;   what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”[a]&lt;br /&gt; 19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are in the world but we are not of the world that is why the world hate you. Don't be ashame if the world persecute you as you will receive reward in heaven.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 John 4:4&lt;br /&gt;4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. Satan really cannot be saved.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Deuteronomy 20:17 Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the LORD your God has commanded you.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They have not kept themselves away, even though how faithful God is to them. Agape love means unconditional love. It's not easy to become a Christian.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Charles Spurgeon says; Be walking Bible. If you always think God's love more than the world, that's the key. Do not follow the lifestyle of the world or enemy. Remember His love.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mingled means inter mix. Jewish men marrying foreign women. God's people had been contaminated. Why is it that God forbid His people to marry unequally yolk? Is God "kill joy"? God only wants to preserve His people to be holy one and His intention also is that a danger that they would worship their Idols.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Deuteronomy 7:3-4 3 Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, 4 for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods, and the LORD’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 Corinthians 6:14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Proverbs 29:3 A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Repent if your involve in a relationship that is wrong. We need to fear the Lord with fear and trembling. Search your heart what is your motive?&lt;br /&gt;Aim for purity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How terrible it would be to say you're Holy and Right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jesus condemn the pharisees for they have thier own doctrines and ways to enter heaven and by that false teaching prevent man to accept Jesus Christ. It's not about religion, it's about relationship with God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The most hardest thing to remove to any person are thier tradition and religious beliefs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We should not copy the example of the pharisees. They keep the people from going to the kingdom of heaven. They can cover up lies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Know the difference between Sinful anger and righteous anger.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't swear anymore. Let your yes be yes and no be no.&lt;br /&gt;Don't break the oath keep the oath you have with the Lord&lt;br /&gt;James 5:12 Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The attitude of the pharisees: hypocrites - putting other people down in order to cover up thier own sins.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Proverbs 29:23  Pride brings a person low, &lt;br /&gt;   but the lowly in spirit gain honor.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We should allow God to do the surgery. To change us from within not from the outside.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Put off the former way of life and put in the new way of life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The pharisees are so expert in showing themselves good in the outside. But God looks inside and so be pure in heart.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Matthew 5:8  Blessed are the pure in heart, &lt;br /&gt;   for they will see God.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nothing is hidden in God's eyes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. No! Just for us Christians we should be really a good representative of God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God choose you because of His grace and love. Why did God choose Ezra? Overall God is gracious. The Bible tells us that God already choose us before the creation of the world. Isn't we are blessed that God already choose us before we exist.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Romans 8:28-29 &lt;br /&gt;And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Strengths and Accomplishment of Ezra:&lt;br /&gt;1. He observe God's word&lt;br /&gt;2. He led the second group of exiles&lt;br /&gt;3. He is concern keeping about the details of commandments of God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Psalm 1:1-2 &lt;br /&gt;1 Blessed is the one &lt;br /&gt;   who does not walk in step with the wicked &lt;br /&gt;or stand in the way that sinners take &lt;br /&gt;   or sit in the company of mockers, &lt;br /&gt;2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, &lt;br /&gt;   and who meditates on his law day and night.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He work along side of Nehemiah.&lt;br /&gt;In the New Testament version Barnabas was with Paul. Shame on you, if you didn't pray. Set-apart means to make holy. Sanctification is ungoing of the Holy Spirit or use by Him.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How we consecrated our things on your house? Simply use it for God's glory then it will be sacred. Jeshua means Salvation. Take note that this is in God's calling. Chapter 6 and 7 is between of Esther. The names of Israelites has a meaning on God's word.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Zerahiah means Prince of the Lord. Ezra is a priest and study the the word of God. Especially Ezra was called to be the 2nd to Moses. So just as him, you must study the word of God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we have no relationship with God, you will not know that God choose you, and this is the first step to salvation. God's word has a powerful impact in the people around you as you apply it to your life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good hand meaning blessed by the Lord. He had practice what he learned.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commands.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Acts 13:34 God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. In the Bible it was in the first 5 books; Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is the first and greatest commandments?&lt;br /&gt;Love the Lord with all of your heart and all of your mind. You need to have a relationship with God to be able to Love Him whole heartedly. Walk in love. The one evidence of loving God is reading His love letter that is the Bible. Loving with all of your heart and all of your soul.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first is the spirit, the soul, we have the spirit of God to guide us and teach us. Our soul has only two destination either heaven or hell. To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. The Bible is teaching us to Love God with all of our soul.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How to love God with all of your mind?&lt;br /&gt;1) Use your brain for God's glory. Not for your own glory. Example is studying the Bible.&lt;br /&gt;2) Don't boast on what you have learned in the world like you're a doctor or lawyer&lt;br /&gt;Galatians 6:3&lt;br /&gt;3) ask God for the mind of Christ.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sickness is not the reason for us not to worship God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Philippians 4:6-8 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;   8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Having the mind of Christ, He wants to be the only one in our life. The word abide - God doesn't want us to do more for Him but He wants us to be more with Him.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God's love is unconditional.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="fullpost"&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Romans 12:2  Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For whatever you think you become one.&lt;br /&gt;Our mind should be change moving forward be focus with God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How much do you Love yourself?&lt;br /&gt;You can never do it on your own. You can not never love someone as yourself if you don't Love God.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Love your neighbor as yourself I am the Lord.&lt;br /&gt;Forgive the persons who did you wrong so God will also forgive you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How to extend the Love of God?&lt;br /&gt;BEST&lt;br /&gt;B-bare each other accepting each other.&lt;br /&gt;E-encourage one another.&lt;br /&gt;S-share your blessing can't be just money or food it could also be gift of talents.&lt;br /&gt;T-time best way to express love is giving time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How can we show love for one another?&lt;br /&gt;Accept the person that he/she like that.&lt;br /&gt;Share to the people who are in need.&lt;br /&gt;Live in harmony with one another.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How to live in harmony?&lt;br /&gt;Be willing to associate to people with low position whether they are poor or sinners. But don't compromise.&lt;br /&gt;Man is a wolf to man who does not know. They love each other without knowing each other.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;John 13:34-35 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;John 15:17 This is my command: Love each other.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 John 2:11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 John 4:7-8 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;1 John 4:19-21 &lt;br /&gt;19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. When we are faithless, God is faithful. Trust in God's word, don't just read it.
