Charts: Amuro, Dreams Come True extend records

Namie Amuro's latest single, "WILD / Dr.," came in at #1 on the charts this week with 75,000 in sales. With this, she has released a top ten single for 15 years in a row, which keeps her in possession of the record among female artists. Hello! Project's Erina Mano also made the top ten, reaching #5 with her solo debut. The bottom half of the top ten saw a few more new releases: the "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" theme song, KREVA's latest single, and the second CD from AKB48 trio No Sleeves. On the albums chart, Dreams Come True took the #1 spot by selling 231,000 copies of "DO YOU DREAMS COME TRUE?" This is their 12th chart-topping album, which puts them past ZARD for the record among groups with a female vocalist. Dreams Come True already holds two other records in that category: most copies of albums sold (27.7 million) and most million-selling albums (10).

According to reports from Hong Kong, the MV for the song 'Real Man (大丈夫)' in 'Butterfly (花蝴蝶)', the first album that Jolin Tsai(蔡依林) is releasing under her new company, has been accused by netizens of plagarising a perfume advertisement featuring Agyness Deyn, a famous model from England.For the album, Jolin's look was also accused of copying Ayumi Hamasaki's (滨崎步) cover page for a magazine and her new album. Added to that, her MV for her main single 'Real Man' has also been accused of being lifted from Agyness Deyn's perfume advertisement. Some netizens said: "Her songs style is copied from Lee Hyori, her image from Ayumi, now even her MV has to be copied from someone else!" There were also images from youtube clips pinned up for netizens to compare.In the MV, there was a scene were Jolin was wearing a western-style suit with long pants, and after tossing her hair, she cuts off the sleeves from her suit, and at the end she rips off her long pants and it become a pair of sexy mini-shorts. Though it appears that it is full of creativity, but when we compare it to Agyness Deyn's advertisement, we see that the two scenes are exactly the same as each other. Even though her company claims that it was 'purely coincidental', and her fans reason that there was bound to be similarities in the entertainment circle, it is hard to shake off the suspicion after Jolin has yet again been accused of plagarism.

I think that there is some thing missing in the MV. The music does not match the MV. They are like two totally different worlds so weird. They shouldn't let Hero sing those parts. It's like deging the song itself. They should let Mickey sing most of the part and lower the pitch of the whole entire song. There is too much high pitch voice singing. It's like making our ears into monotonous high pitch sound. It's made us feel "NO LIFE!” What I mean is there is no ups and down. The song become bored and like common western digital music. Its really very much simpler to Kylie Minogue "Can’t Get You Out of My Head". If I were to buy music album, I will never buy this at all.

FT Island will be releasing their 2nd album ‘colorful sensibility’ on 25th August. The preview of the MV of the title song "After Love" was also revealed.Debuted last year with the song, "Sarang Alhee", after which they occupied on and offline chart within a month into debut and also took home the best newcomer award during the year-end music awards, FT Island will be back on 23rd and 24th August in Seoul Melon AX for their commemoration concert for their 2nd album.A part to the MV of the title song "After Love" of this new album was revealed on 18th August on Mnet site (www.mnet.com ).A 60-members-strong orchestra participated in the song "After Love", and is said to be a magnificent and powerful song. With this, FT Island will also be showing more maturity in their music this time.The MV is directed by Jo Soo Hyun, who also directed MVs for artistes like Seo In Young, Big Bang, MC Mong, Rain etc. And all FT Island members will be featured in the MV, talking about 5 different stories of love and separation.And while filming for the MV, leader Choi Jong Hyun hurt himself while filming a scene hitting the sandbag. The group Big Bang has sold more than 30,000 copies of its third mini album "Stand Up" just two days after it was released on August 8. The album received an order of 85,000 copies from a retail dealer. The album was completely sold out by 5:00 P.M. on August 9 at major record stores including Evan Records and the Gwanghwamun branch of Hot Tracks. The album was temporarily sold out on major online record stores including YGeshop and Internet Kyobo Book Store. The manager at a record store said the album is selling at the same rate as Seo Taiji's latest album. Big Bang's latest album defeated Seo Taiji on the Hanteo Chart and topped the weekly chart. The title song of the mini album "Day by Day" also ranked number one on Cyworld's music chart, MNet.com and Jukeon.

Gummy has topped Thailand's MTV Chart with her latest hit, "I'm Sorry." The song is the title song of her 4th studio "Comfort" which was released early this year. Namie Amuro's "BEST FICTION" attained the No. 1 ranking some weeks' Oricon album charts. The album's first week of sales totaled 681,000 copies, the best start by any album this year. It narrowly surpassed EXILE's "EXILE CATCHY BEST," which sold 680,000 copies during its first week this past March. "BEST FICTION" marks Amuro's 7th #1 album since she went solo in 1995. This is a new record among female artists who were originally in a group; Amuro was previously tied with Takako Okamura of Amin. Two other new releases made it into the top 10. R&B group COLOR reached #6 with their latest, while a tribute album for Yu Aku squeezed out the #10 spot. On the singles chart, Mr.Children's "GIFT" ranked #1 with 194,000 copies sold. It was up against "Hi wa, Mata Noboru," the debut single from Aladdin the second, which sold 152,000 copies. A-NATION '08 concerts starting from July 26 to August 31.

You can see that she is trying her best. Eventhough she is 30 yr old and has a child, she still can dance. Let give a round of applauds. Her Lastest Album "BEST FICTION" on July 30, 2008. It will feature all her singles from 2002's Wishing on the Same Star to the recently released 60s 70s 80s. It will also feature 2 new songs. The other called 'Do Me More' is the campaign song for Vidal Sassoon for July.She will be having her Concert Tour "Namie Amuro BEST FICTION 2008-2009 " from October 25, 2008 - March 20, 2009 at Arena stage. Perviously, she had a Concert Tour " Namie Amuro Play tour 2007-2008 " from August 18, 2007 - April 13, 2008. Well you can see again. Music label Avex’s annual summer open-air live concert “a-nation” will be held in five cities from Aug 8. According to the organizers, the event will kick off in Aichi Prefecture and tour Miyazaki, Ishikawa, Osaka, Aichi and Tokyo.
