Well… that didn’t take long.

After presale demand exploded for BTS’ upcoming Australian return, the global K-pop phenomenon have officially added an extra Melbourne date to their already gigantic BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ run. Yep – Australia is now getting five stadium shows.

The newly added date will see BTS take over Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Wednesday 10 February, joining the previously announced back-to-back Melbourne shows and Sydney stadium run.

Which means ARMY really looked at four stadium dates and collectively said: respectfully… not enough.

The additional show arrives after huge demand during the ARMY Membership presale period, with fans scrambling to secure tickets for what’s shaping up to be not only BTS’ biggest Australian tour to date, but one of the biggest global tours in K-pop history full stop.

The ARIRANG world tour marks BTS’ first full-scale headline tour together since Permission To Dance On Stage, with the mammoth run already moving millions of tickets globally across North America, Europe, the UK, Latin America and Asia.

Australia was already set for a major slice of the action – and now Melbourne’s getting an extra night of lightsticks, stadium singalongs and emotionally devastating fan videos.

For fans hoping to jump into the newly added show: there are a couple of important hoops.

Tickets for the additional Melbourne date will first become available via ARMY MEMBERSHIP Presale from Wednesday 3 June at 10am (Melbourne local time).

Only fans who registered in advance will be eligible to access the queue, and a valid GLOBAL ARMY Membership number beginning with “BA” will be required to unlock ticket access.

Translation: if your membership number currently exists only as a screenshot buried somewhere in your camera roll under 4,000 concert videos… now would be a great time to find it.

General public tickets for all five Aussie dates go on sale from Thursday 4 June, beginning 10am AEST in Melbourne.

Suss the deets down below.

Australian heavyweights Parkway Drive have shared a new public statement reflecting on the culture surrounding their hometown in the early 2000s, following the sentencing of former associate Jed Daniel Gordon over a historical child sex offence.

Gordon – the brother of Parkway Drive drummer Ben Gordon and previously described as the band’s former merchandise manager and jokingly as their “sixth member” – was last week sentenced in Byron Bay after pleading guilty earlier this year to sexual intercourse with a person aged between 14 and 16.

The offence occurred between November 2002 and July 2003. At the time, Gordon was in his early 20’s and the victim was 15.

He was sentenced to a community corrections order, issued a two-year apprehended domestic violence order and placed on the child protection register.

Now, an explosive ABC investigation has landed featuring an included an interview with the victim, who chose to publicly identify herself as Rachel Kila and spoke about what she described as a broader culture of “rape, humiliation and shame” in Byron Bay at the time.

“The facts are that he was an adult, and I was still a child,” Kila told the publication.

The ABC report also explored accounts from 35 people who described experiences of victimisation and referenced what interviewees described as a broader culture of degradation affecting young women and girls in the region during that period.

“Fifteen women have alleged to the ABC they were raped or sexually assaulted by older boys or adult men when they were as young as 12”, the report reads. “…Some of the women described being sprayed with urine, faeces and semen, and being spied on during sex, part of a culture of public degradation they said was pervasive in the popular tourist resort town.”

As one of the interviewees put it: “We were prey”.

In response, Parkway Drive did not expand further on Gordon directly, but reflected more broadly on the environment they say existed during their formative years.

“Behaviours like power imbalances, consent issues, bullying were everywhere: in homes and in the streets, and girls and women did bear the brunt of it,” the band told the ABC. “It’s heartbreaking and unacceptable.”

The report also referenced historical recordings created by Parkway Drive bassist Jia O’Connor before his time in the band that contained derogatory lyrics about teenage girls and references glorifying sexual violence.

O’Connor addressed the material in a statement provided to the ABC, saying the songs were written by “insecure teenagers” attempting to imitate the shock value of popular hip-hop artists without understanding the impact of what they were doing.

“In fact, many songs were never meant to be published, but some of the worst songs were leaked and ended up hurting people,” he said. “While it was a toxic culture for boys, it was so much worse for girls, and I am deeply sorry for contributing to that.”

Following Gordon’s guilty plea in March, Parkway Drive publicly condemned his conduct and acknowledged what they described as a moral responsibility tied to employing him over the years.

At the time, vocalist Winston McCall said: “This is fucked, and this is Jed’s reckoning to answer for.”

“We employed him for a long time, and we put him in a position where he had contact with a lot of people, and it’s our moral responsibility to carry.”

Parkway Drive themselves have not been accused of criminal wrongdoing in relation to the case.

In what is objectively one of the more hardcore updates to come out of the heavy music world this week, Knocked Loose guitarist Isaac Hale revealed over the weekend that he’d been hit by a car while touring Europe.

Thankfully, the update appears to be more chaotic than catastrophic.

Posting a photo with his arm wrapped in a support bandage, Hale kept things characteristically understated, writing:

“tour update got hit by a car yesterday felt bad but got this boba after and it was really good.”

Honestly? Elite caption.

The incident came shortly after Knocked Loose played back-to-back shows in Zurich, Switzerland – and remarkably, doesn’t appear to have derailed the band’s absolutely stacked touring schedule.

Because yes, they are still out there doing support dates with Metallica.

The Louisville wrecking crew are currently deep into a monster run of summer shows that includes massive festival appearances at Primavera Sound, Rock for People and Graspop Metal Meeting, alongside stadium dates supporting literal metal institution Metallica.

As if that wasn’t enough, Knocked Loose also recently announced a North American co-headline run with Denzel Curry – a crossover lineup that feels aggressively 2026 in the best possible way.

The band have also started pulling back the curtain on life behind the scenes via a new YouTube documentary series, Wherever We May Roam, with the first episode capturing everything from European touring chaos to the moment they found out they’d landed the Metallica support slot.

So while getting hit by a moving vehicle probably wasn’t part of the itinerary… somehow this whole update still feels extremely Knocked Loose-coded.

Anyway, wishing Isaac a speedy recovery and continued access to quality boba.

After selling out her 2024 return run, GRAMMY-winning soul icon Macy Gray is officially heading back Down Under this September and October… and this time she’s going bigger than ever.

Dubbed The Encore Tour, the mammoth run will see Gray return to major cities while also venturing deep into regional Australia for the first time in years, bringing her unmistakable raspy vocals and catalogue of era-defining hits to theatres, clubs and concert halls right across the country.

Macy Gray – I’m Too Sexy ft. BBC Concert Orchestra | Radio 2 Piano Room

<iframe loading="lazy" style="--aspect-ratio:1.7777777777778;" title="Macy Gray - I'm Too Sexy ft.

And honestly? Respect to Macy for looking at Australia and saying “yeah nah let’s do Port Macquarie”.

This isn’t just a quick capital-city victory lap either.

Across more than two decades, over 25 million records sold and a trophy cabinet featuring a GRAMMY, multiple BRIT Awards and ten studio albums, Macy Gray has become one of modern soul and R&B’s most instantly recognisable voices.

But Australia has always had a particularly strong history with Macy.

Long before the US fully caught on, Australian audiences embraced her breakout album On How Life Is, while I Try became an absolute monster locally – helping cement Gray as one of those artists whose songs somehow became woven into the cultural wallpaper of the early 2000s.

And based on her own comments, she definitely remembers.

“Australia! The band and I have always had a ball down under and we can’t wait to see you all again!” Gray shared in a statement.

“This time, I’m heading to places I’ve never been before and will get to see so much more of your beautiful country.”

“We’re going to be performing all the songs you want to hear, plus a few from my new album – The Trouble with the Truth. Australia will be the first audiences to hear tracks from the new album live so get your dancing shoes ready and come along and party with us at a show near you!”

Expect the setlist to pull heavily from across her catalogue, including I Try, Still, Do Something, Sexual Revolution, Sweet Baby and selections from the forthcoming album – including her latest single, a rework of I’m Too Sexy.

Which means yes: there’s a very real chance someone will hear I Try live and immediately be transported back to 2001.

Peep all the dates and details down below,

Some tours feel nostalgic. This one feels… historic.

After 16 years away, legendary Bristol collective Massive Attack are officially returning to Australia this August for three exclusive headline shows, marking their first local dates since 2010 and only their fourth visit to our shores overall.

Massive Attack / Tom Waits – ‘Boots on the Ground’

For anyone who’s ever dramatically stared out a rainy car window to Teardrop, Unfinished Sympathy or Angel, this is not a drill.

Presented by Frontier Touring, the long-awaited run will hit Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, bringing one of modern music’s most influential and quietly revolutionary acts back to Aussie stages.

Formed in Bristol in 1988 by Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall, Massive Attack are widely credited as pioneers of trip-hop – helping define a sound that fused hip-hop rhythms, dub, soul, electronics and atmosphere into something entirely their own. Their 1991 debut Blue Lines remains one of the most influential records of its era, while albums like Protection, Mezzanine and Heligoland cemented the group as one of British music’s most singular and enduring creative forces.

And while they’ve never exactly operated at blockbuster album-cycle pace, Massive Attack have remained quietly influential across decades – whether through immersive live shows, political activism, boundary-pushing visuals or occasional bursts of new music.

Most recently, the group returned with Boots on the Ground featuring Tom Waits ((listen above), their first new material in six years and a reminder that Massive Attack still sound like they exist slightly outside of time.

As for the live show? Massive Attack’s performances have long been known for their cinematic visuals, rotating guest vocalists and that weirdly impossible trick of making arena-sized spaces somehow feel intimate and unsettling at the same time.

Safe to say: after 16 years, this one probably won’t stay available for long.

Suss all the details down below.

If you thought Lorna Shore sounded terrifying in a theatre, just wait until they hit arenas.

The modern deathcore juggernauts are officially returning to Australia this October for their biggest headline shows Down Under to date, bringing fellow US heavyweights Whitechapel and The Acacia Strain along for the ride.

Lorna Shore – ‘In Darkness’

Which is to say: absolutely nobody’s neck is surviving this tour.

Kicking off in Melbourne before tearing through Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane, the run arrives off the back of a massive few years for Lorna Shore, who’ve rapidly evolved from deathcore cult favourites into one of heavy music’s most genuinely unstoppable forces.

Between the viral insanity of vocalist Will Ramos’s inhuman vocal acrobatics, breakout releases like …And I Return To Nothingness and their acclaimed 2025 album I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, the band have managed to do something pretty rare in extreme music: go genuinely mainstream while somehow becoming even more ferocious.

And Aussie fans have already proven they are very, very here for it.

The band’s first-ever Australian headline run in early 2025 sold out entirely, before they returned later that year to flatten crowds once again as part of Good Things Festival.

Now they’re levelling up again – this time armed with venues big enough to contain the absolute sonic apocalypse they’ve become known for live.

Joining them for all Australian dates are deathcore royalty Whitechapel, whose influence on the genre is basically impossible to overstate at this point. Meanwhile Massachusetts chaos merchants The Acacia Strain round out a lineup that honestly feels less like a concert bill and more like a direct threat to venue foundations nationwide.

So yeah – if you enjoy blast beats, emotional devastation and feeling like you’ve just survived a medieval battle by the end of a set, this one’s probably for you. Details down yonder.

Look, we always knew FANGZ could write massive punk hooks.

What we perhaps didn’t expect was for the Sydney chaos merchants to suddenly hit us with a stripped-back acoustic track capable of emotionally clotheslining us on a random weekday. But here we are.

FANGZ – ‘Something Real’ Acoustic

Fresh off the success of their debut album Shui – which somehow managed to land at #1 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart while still sounding like it was made by five dudes who’d happily destroy a pub PA system for fun – FANGZ have today unveiled a stunning acoustic rendition of Something Real.

And honestly? It kind of rules.

Pulling the song away from the distortion and full-band chaos, the new version leans heavily into the emotional core of the track, pairing buoyant acoustic guitars and haunting string arrangements with one of frontman Josh Cottreau’s rawest vocal performances to date.

The result feels equal parts melancholic and weirdly hopeful – like the soundtrack to staring out a train window pretending your life is an A24 film.

“‘Something Real’ is about feeling completely lost in the noise of modern life and trying to find literally anything that still feels genuine,” Cottreau explained.

Naturally, the actual recording process behind the song is significantly less poetic.

“We only recorded it because we finished the album about eight hours early, and our producer, Tim, was trying to escape for his birthday and get to the pub,” he said. “We reminded him we’d paid for the whole day, so he pitched recording an acoustic version because it meant he barely had to set anything up before leaving.”

“So, naturally, the most emotionally vulnerable song we’ve ever released exists because a man wanted a schnitzel and a few birthday beers.”

Which honestly might be the most Australian punk-rock origin story imaginable.

The release continues the massive momentum surrounding Shui, which has cemented FANGZ as one of the country’s most exciting punk acts thanks to its mix of emotional honesty, shout-along hooks and unhinged energy.

The band will celebrate the release with a special one-off performance at Dead Set in Darlinghurst on June 19, performing stripped-back material alongside a full-band set spanning tracks from across their catalogue.

And yes, before you ask: this is still the same band whose singer holds the Guinness World Record for consuming 143 hard-boiled eggs in just over three minutes.

Art contains multitudes.

If you’ve ever dramatically lip-synced Foolish into a hairbrush, this one’s for you.

GRAMMY-winning R&B icon Ashanti is officially heading back to Australia this November, announcing a run of theatre and arena shows across Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as part of her Rock Wit U tour.

Ashanti – ‘Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)’

And honestly? The nostalgia levels here are dangerously high.

Returning to Australia following a massive international touring run – including a recent arena trek alongside Sean Paul – Ashanti’s latest visit arrives as the singer continues to remind everyone that early-2000s R&B simply hit different.

Since exploding onto the global stage with her self-titled debut album in 2002, Ashanti has remained one of the defining voices of an era, helping soundtrack countless house parties, heartbreaks and MSN display names along the way.

That debut record didn’t just launch her career, it made history. The album debuted at #1 on both the Billboard 200 and US R&B charts while becoming the fastest-selling debut album by a female artist at the time, powered by era-defining hits like Foolish and a run of collaborations that basically owned radio for several consecutive years.

And the hits honestly just keep going.

From Rock Wit U (Awww Baby) through to Only U, plus massive collabs with Ja Rule, Fat Joe and Fabolous, Ashanti helped define the sound of 2000s R&B and hip-hop crossover culture – while somehow still sounding timeless more than two decades later.

“Australia has always shown me so much love, and I’m so excited to be coming back this coming Fall for my ‘Rock Wit U’ tour!” Ashanti shared.

“The energy, the fans, the memories – it’s always so amazing. I can’t wait to Rock with you all! Australia get ready… we’re going to have a blast together!”

Alongside selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, Ashanti has also built a successful acting and producing career, worked extensively with youth organisations and advocacy initiatives, and in 2022 received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

So yeah – safe to say this tour feels like a pretty big deal. Suss the details down below.

The former merchandise manager and longtime associate of Parkway Drive has avoided jail after pleading guilty to a child sex offence in northern New South Wales.

As reported by Blunt Magazine, Jed Daniel Gordon, 45, was sentenced in Byron Bay Local Court on Thursday after pleading guilty to sexual intercourse with a person aged between 14 and 16 between 2002 and 2003.

Gordon received a three-year community corrections order, was ordered to complete 300 hours of community service, and was placed on the child protection register. He was also issued a two-year apprehended domestic violence order.

The offence involved a 15-year-old girl and occurred when Gordon was in his early 20’s.

The sentencing has already sparked significant backlash online, with many fans expressing anger over Gordon avoiding prison time given the nature of the offence.

Gordon, who is the brother of Parkway Drive drummer Ben Gordon, had long been publicly associated with the Byron Bay heavy outfit and was previously described by the band as their “sixth member”.

Earlier this year, Parkway Drive publicly distanced themselves from Gordon after details of the case became public, stating they immediately severed ties with him once they became aware of the offence.

“We condemn abuse and exploitation in all forms,” the band said at the time.

Importantly, Parkway Drive themselves have not been accused of any criminal wrongdoing in relation to the matter.

Still, the case has cast a long shadow across parts of the Australian heavy music community, particularly given Gordon’s longstanding connection to one of the country’s biggest heavy exports.

The situation has also reignited broader conversations within the scene around accountability, backstage culture and how the music industry responds when people connected to major artists face serious criminal allegations or convictions.

Few punk bands have managed to stay this consistently furious – or this consistently relevant – quite like Rise Against.

Now, the Chicago punk veterans are officially heading back Down Under, today announcing a massive Australian and New Zealand headline tour for November and December 2026 alongside Boston Celtic punk icons Dropkick Murphys.

Rise Against – ‘Ricochet’

The run will see the two heavyweight acts tear through arenas and outdoor stages across Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth, alongside a New Zealand stop in Auckland and Christchurch.

But perhaps the most unexpected date on the entire run is happening somewhere a little less… conventional.

In one of the more delightfully chaotic festival announcements of the year, Rise Against and Dropkick Murphys will also headline the debut edition of Meltdown Festival in Gosford on the NSW Central Coast alongside Aussie favourites The Living End, Jebediah, RedHook and more.

Yep. Rise Against are officially playing Gossy.

The tour arrives as Rise Against continue rolling out their upcoming album Ricochet, with the band once again channelling the politically charged urgency and melodic hardcore intensity that’s defined them for more than two decades.

“Few bands have ever been as accurately named as the Chicago punk quartet,” the tour announcement reads.

“While fleeting styles and fashionable imitations have entered and exited vogue, Rise Against have remained a north star of artful resistance.”

Meanwhile, Dropkick Murphys arrive armed with their latest album For The People, continuing their long-running blend of rabble-rousing punk, Celtic folk influence and working-class heart-on-sleeve energy.

Together? This tour honestly feels like a masterclass in punk bands who’ve never really stopped meaning something to people.

And judging by the lineup alone, Australian crowds are probably about to lose their minds.

Suss the details down below.

Well… this wasn’t on our 2026 bingo card.

A brand new heavy festival called Meltdown has officially emerged from the depths, with organisers today unveiling a stacked debut lineup led by Chicago punk heavyweights Rise Against alongside Celtic punk legends Dropkick Murphys, Aussie icons The Living End, Jebediah, RedHook and more.

And maybe the most chaotic part of all? It’s happening in Gosford.

Yep. The Central Coast is officially entering its punk rock era.

Set to take over The Entertainment Grounds on Saturday November 28, Meltdown is billing itself as “Australia’s newest high-voltage rock and metal event for true heavy music fans” – and honestly, for a first lineup? They’re not mucking around.

Rise Against topping a festival in Gossy feels slightly surreal in the best possible way. One minute you’re grabbing Boost Juice at Erina Fair, the next you’re scream-singing Savior in a sea of patched denim vests while someone crowdsurfs past wearing a Central Coast Mariners jersey.

The festival also marks part of Rise Against’s newly announced Australian and New Zealand headline tour with Dropkick Murphys, which will see the two punk heavyweights hit Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth later this year.

For Rise Against, the run continues the rollout of their upcoming album Ricochet, while Dropkick Murphys arrive armed with their latest record For The People – another rabble-rousing blast of pub-ready punk energy and anti-divisive fury.

And honestly, Meltdown already feels like a pretty fitting name for what Gosford is about to experience.

For now, the Central Coast is about to get very loud, and tickets are likely to disappear faster thaan Ploddy the dinosaur’s latest paint job.

Suss the details down below.

After weeks of speculation, BTS have officially confirmed the Australian leg of their colossal BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ – marking the group’s long-awaited return Down Under for their first headline tour together in years.

And yep, they’re going BIG big.

BTS (방탄소년단) – ‘Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)’

The global K-pop icons will hit Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium for back-to-back nights on February 12 and 13 before heading to Sydney’s Accor Stadium for two more massive shows on February 20 and 21.

Honestly? Australian ARMYs may need to start emotionally preparing now.

The Australian dates form part of what’s already shaping up to be the biggest K-pop tour of all time – and the biggest tour of BTS’ entire career – with the ARIRANG run spanning 34 regions and a staggering 85 shows worldwide.

Demand has already been completely absurd.

According to promoters, the tour’s North American, UK and European dates have already sold 2.4 million tickets across 41 stadium shows, with multiple extra dates added due to overwhelming demand during presales.

And if BTS’ previous Australian visits are anything to go by, securing tickets here is probably going to feel less like buying concert tickets and more like entering psychological warfare.

The tour itself also sounds wildly ambitious, with the production featuring a fully immersive 360-degree in-the-round stage setup designed to place fans at the centre of the experience while expanding stadium capacity.

Which honestly feels fitting for a group whose live shows have long operated on a scale most artists can barely comprehend.

The ARIRANG tour marks BTS’ first full headline run together since their record-shattering PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE shows, with the group already breaking milestones across the current run – including becoming the first K-pop act to headline multiple major US stadiums.

And now Australia’s finally getting its turn. Suss the details down below.

BTS – Australian Tour Dates 2027

Friday February 20 – Accor Stadium, Sydney, NSW

Saturday February 21 – Accor Stadium, Sydney, NSW

Tickets for the Australia dates will be available starting Tuesday, June 2 via ARMY MEMBERSHIP PRESALE.

Remaining tickets will be available via general onsale beginning Thursday, June 4 at 10am AEST in Melbourne and 1pm AEST in Sydney, at btsworldtourofficial.com

The Oddworld is officially reopening.

Fresh off a monster couple of years touring with the likes of Poppy and Thornhill, Melbourne chaos merchants Ocean Grove have today announced their Oddworld Underground Australian Tour for August 2026 and the lineup is an absolute nu-metal kid fever dream.

Ocean Grove – ‘SOWHAT1999’

Joining them on the run are returning New Orleans heavy hitters Cane Hill, making their long-awaited first Australian appearance in nearly a decade, alongside Western Sydney pit-starters Deficit and Adelaide nu-gaze risers Blinder.

It’s a lineup that feels scientifically engineered to make venues smell like sweat and Monster Energy.

Kicking off in Perth on August 13, the tour will hit Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane, with Ocean Grove once again bringing their gloriously unhinged “Oddworld Music” universe back to Aussie stages.

And at this point, the band really do exist in a lane entirely their own. Ever since detonating onto the scene with 2017’s The Rhapsody Tapes, Ocean Grove have spent the better part of a decade mutating nu metal, hardcore, alternative rock and pure internet-era weirdness into something that somehow feels both nostalgic and completely alien at the same time..

Their most recent album ODDWORLD only pushed things further, while recent tours across the UK, Europe and Australia – including support runs with Poppy and Thornhill – have cemented the band as one of Australia’s most inventive heavy exports.

And following their recent APRA Award win for RAINDROP, it feels like Ocean Grove are hitting another major level right now.

Meanwhile, Cane Hill’s inclusion on the bill marks a pretty huge moment for longtime heavy fans too.

The Louisiana outfit haven’t toured Australia since 2016, when they first visited supporting Bullet For My Valentine, and have spent the years since diving deeper into their bleak, genre-warping blend of metalcore, grunge and alternative heaviness.

Add in Deficit’s increasingly feral live reputation and Blinder’s dreamy-yet-crushing shoegaze textures, and this genuinely feels like one of the coolest heavy lineups announced locally in a hot minute.

Suss the details down below.

After more than two decades of heartbreak anthems, arena singalongs and emotionally devastating pub playlists, The Script are officially heading back Down Under.

The Irish hitmakers have today announced their Man In The Arena Tour for March 2027, returning for three massive east coast arena shows in what marks their TWELFTH Australian headline run with Frontier Touring (which honestly feels kind of insane when you stop and think about it).

The Script – ‘Man in the Arena’

Kicking off at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 23, the tour will then head through Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena before wrapping up at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena later that week.

And if you’ve ever accidentally screamed the lyrics to Breakeven at 1am in an Uber after a breakup, there’s a very high chance you already know these shows are going to be huge.

The announcement arrives alongside the release of the band’s soaring new single Man In The Arena, the first taste of their upcoming album The User’s Guide To Being Human, due out August 14.

Classic Script mega-chorus? Yep. Emotionally charged Danny O’Donoghue vocals? Absolutely. A giant “prove the haters wrong” energy running through the whole thing? Yep.

According to frontman Danny O’Donoghue, the song reflects the idea that stepping into the spotlight – and risking failure publicly – is braver than standing safely on the sidelines criticising others.

Which honestly feels pretty fitting for a band who’ve spent the last twenty years becoming one of modern pop-rock’s most enduring global success stories.

We’re talking six UK #1 albums, eight #1 albums in Ireland, over 14 billion streams, more than 4.5 million tickets sold worldwide and enough emotionally ruinous radio hits to permanently alter the chemistry of millennials everywhere.

The upcoming album also marks another important chapter for the band following 2024’s Satellites, which saw O’Donoghue processing the devastating loss of longtime bandmate Mark Sheehan, who passed away in 2023.

Following that album cycle and global arena run, O’Donoghue says he found himself creatively re-energised almost immediately – jumping straight back into writing with collaborators behind some of the band’s biggest ever songs, including Hall Of Fame, Breakeven and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.

And judging by Man In The Arena, they’re very much swinging for the rafters again.

“We can’t wait to take our worldwide tour back to Australia again,” O’Donoghue shared. “We have such a long-standing friendship with our fans and Frontier Touring, it feels like home away from home. Get ready for another banging show!”

Tou can pre-order the album HERE, or suss their tour dates down below.

After spending the past year unpacking heartbreak in painstaking detail, RISSA is stepping into something softer, brighter and a whole lot more romantic.

The Polynesian Australian R&B powerhouse has today returned with her dreamy new single Don’t Be Long – a warm, groove-soaked release that feels tailor-made for sunset drives, main-character delusions and anyone who’s ever dramatically stared out a car window pretending they were in a music video.

RISSA – ‘Don’t Be Long’

Honestly? RISSA gets it.

Produced by trans-Tasman duo Edy Liu and Chunkyluv, Don’t Be Long trades the emotional heaviness of RISSA’s 2025 EP WHERE LOVE ONCE WAS for something far more weightless and hopeful. Glittering piano melodies float over sun-drenched production while RISSA’s silky vocals and airy harmonies glide effortlessly across the track’s smooth bass-driven pulse.

“The song conveys my freedom and desire for what love can be,” RISSA explains. “Collaborating with Edy Liu and Chunkyluv, we’ve created something for romantics and romanticisers alike.”

“For anyone who’s ever put on a song and pretended they were in the music video – Don’t Be Long was made to be all that.”

And honestly? That may be the single most accurate description of modern R&B consumption ever written.

The accompanying video leans fully into that energy too, filmed across the backroads of Pitt Town Bottoms in Sydney and capturing the same sense of carefree warmth and emotional openness running through the track itself.

The release arrives at a pretty major moment for RISSA overall, with the Western Sydney artist currently preparing to make her international live debut in London later this month – including performances at SXSW London – following her first-ever national headline tour across Australia.

At this point, the numbers behind the rise are getting pretty hard to ignore too.

With more than 25 million streams under her belt and support from triple j, Double J, NOVA, CADA and more, RISSA has steadily become one of Australia’s most exciting contemporary R&B voices — blending gospel-rooted emotion with modern soul and sleek alt-pop textures in a way that feels both deeply personal and globally accessible.

Fans of Snoh Aalegra, Olivia Dean and RAYE are probably going to want this on immediate rotation.

And if Don’t Be Long is any indication, RISSA’s next chapter might be her brightest one yet. Take it for a spin up above.
