This is my final video. I made a video to share with parents. It is a video full of footage and photos I took on our field trip to the Rose Theater. I am hoping the students will enjoy watching it and the parents will enjoy seeing their child on a trip.

Podcast

This my podcast. My first podcast is a podcast that shares strategies I use in my classroom for managing my guided reading block. I plan to post a podcast each month and with each new episode I will do a different topic dealing with guided reading. Next month I am going to try to do ideas for word work activities.

The podcast I am subscribing to is: Elementary Teacher Resources by Kelly Mikesell. It is a podcast on ITunes U with a teacher who places ideas on there of ideas and strategies she uses in her classroom. The episode I saw was one were she picked a few books and and explains how she uses it in the books in her classroom. It is so neat to be able to see how teachers use pictures books in their classroom. It also neat having book titles available for different topics I want to teach. I can not wait to see the next epsiode.

I really enjoyed this video because I have discussed education with many foreign people and they are just shocked with our educational system. In other countries education is much more serious than it is in America. I feel that America is no longer the powerhouse we once thought we were. We need to do something fast for our country and our educational system. This video showcased that.

This video also made me evaluate the use of technology in my classroom. I definitely need to do more with technology and multimedia. My students will benefit from it. They will enjoy learning more and it will help them in the future.
