Lovely day out in Cambridge yesterday- the sun was shining and the refreshments particularly good. Best of all the town came back in the second half from 2-0 down with only ten men to win the game 4-3.

This experiment worked very well today 
Students were able to heat the mineral oil (paraffin) with the porcelein chips as a catalyst. Very quickly ethene is produced and collected under water. this was tested with orangy yellow bromine water which turned colourless.
