They had torn out a very large concrete patio that had partially collapsed due to some aggressive ground squirrels and were left with a very barren gentle slope leading down to a circular driveway we put in the previous summer.

We advised our clients to create some texture to the approach by terracing the front with some boulders, installing some hardy feskew grass, and planting deer resistant shrubs strategically on the second tier. To keep it all moist we installed a drip and sprinkler system on a timer.

Not shown in the picture was the work we did for them on the roadside of the circular drive. We created some interest by bringing in soil that created three to four foot hills on which we planted some blue spruce effectively creating a visual barrier between the road and the house. All views were preserved yet privacy has increased.

Winter is upon us and there’s not much worse than waking up to three feet of fresh snow and no way to get your car in or out of the driveway. Snow removal is a tiring and time consuming job that can either take all day or be done in short order if you have the right equipment on hand.

We happen to be fully equipped to do the job for you if you need it. We make quick work of driveways and parking locks. We’re also very handy with snow clearing/car rescue jobs. (Sometimes these go hand in hand.)

Here’s a partial equipment list to give you an idea of what we can do:

2 1/2 ton 4 x 4, single axle dump with a 10′ power angle plow

4 x 4 Swiss Pinzgauer with a 7′ angle blade

4 x 4 Kubota cab model tractor with a 7′ snow blower and front bucket

2 skid steers with tracks and a Bobcat mini track skid steer with blade and/or blower

We can also haul snow in 30+ yard increments. Last year we hauled 210 yards out of Telluride!
Don’t risk damage to your car or other possessions. We’d love to help you out this winter. Keep us in mind or give us a call today to get on our schedule.
