Modern Beat Orchestra Update - Music Videos in Production Now!

We are pleased to announce that music videos for upcoming Modern Beat Orchestra releases are in production! There are three different videos in different stages of production, and we expect to have them completed over the next few months.

As you may have been following, the Modern Beat Orchestra has been working on a ton of new music - a full album fresh with all new tracks, remixes, and slammin' live club versions as well! We're taking some of our favorite singles, and putting them in the hands of the visual artists of the MBO. The results are going to be spectacular!

The songs featured in the videos will be released as EP's, as well as included on the forthcoming feature-length album by the Modern Beat Orchestra. The tracks included are "Talk to You", "Because You Loved Me", and "The Time is Now" by the Modern Beat Orchestra - all featuring vocalist Jennifer Anne.

Quick Notes:

New addition to the Modern Beat Production Team and MBO Live, Matthew Warren, is working on production of "Talk to You", and prepping for an upcoming shoot with vocalist Jennifer Anne in two weeks

Travis Skinner from Orbiting Studio and MBO Live is editing and animating scenes and photography for "The Time is Now" - including shots taken from the MBO's live show at the Blue Room in Jacksonville, FL

The screenplay for "Because You Loved Me" has been finished, and pre-production continues. Expect shooting to start next month.

Release dates for the EP's and videos will be coming soon as production gets closer to completion. Stay tuned to Modern Beat Productions, and Modern Beat Digital for more info!

Local Film Showcase - August 13th

Modern Beat Productions audio work will be featured in one of the films presented at an upcoming local short film showcase. Audio capture and post-production work was done by Modern Beat Productions for the short film, "Dirty Blonde", directed by Rebecca Peterson.

Thursday, August 13th at Hookah Joe's - 38 N. French Broad Ave. in Asheville. Screening begins at 8pm.

MBO Mixing Session Begins

Owen Sawyer from the Modern Beat Orchestra just arrived in town a few days ago, and yesterday we began our week-long mixing session. We will be working on all the tracks from the upcoming feature-length album by the Modern Beat Orchestra (David Edward, Owen Sawyer, and featuring Jennifer Anne), due out late summer/early fall.

We've been mixing for two days straight, and can't wait for until we're ready to release the album. It's going to be a fantastic experience watching it all come together.

MODERN BEAT PRODUCTIONS LAUNCHES “MODERN BEAT NEWS”.

Asheville, NC (April 23, 2009) – Modern Beat Productions, LLC, announces launching the “Modern Beat News Podcast”, a monthly installment of dance music news and events, industry trends, Modern Beat Digital artist info, and everything else Modern Beat. Each episode features a Modern Beat Digital track of the month and artist spotlight, in addition to promotional events and upcoming show dates.

“I’m really looking forward to getting involved again with Modern Beat Productions, and I think hosting the Podcast will be a perfect way,” said radio personality Brendan Bowe. Starting next month, Bowe will be hosting and producing the monthly Podcast, and is excited to have his dance music and radio DJ careers converge with this production.
