Google  has officially announced that Honeycomb will not be coming to Android  based smartphones. Android 3.0 Honeycomb was specifically made for  Tablets according to a Google spokesperson. Although, certain features  that are present on Honeycomb will become available over time on Android  smartphones. Google has not offered any information to what features  will be ported over specifically.

Matching up with the Motorola Atrix and Xoom rumored release dates, the HTC Thunderbolt  may also make its official debut in late February. Make that February  24th, to be exact. This is still a rumor, but it certainly falls in  line.

One thing that may damper the mood about the device is that  it won’t be the standard $200 green backs that you’ll pay for most  smartphones today. Samsung might reign king  as the smartphone maker with the most Android devices in its portfolio,  but that obviously hasn’t stopped HTC from working on their next generation of high-powered Android devices. Take for example, HTC’s upcoming and unannounced flagship, which was recently spotted in a subway. Could this be the HTC Desire 2?

Okay, now that we've got a bigger shot of this thing, we can definitely say that it's neither a Pre nor a Pre Plus...  so assuming it's not some sophisticated fake, you're feasting your eyes  on Palm's next-gen model here. Luckily, BestBoyz.de has just unveiled some press photos of the Optimus 7 E900, showing it to be quite a looker.

The photos also show a 5MP photo camera with LED flash and HD video recording. Other features are yet to be confirmed.
