I had the pleasure (or horror?) of reading an advanced copy (thank you, Ryann!), and let me tell you - this book will keep you up reading into the wee hours of the morning, and give you honest-to-God nightmares when you finally manage to fall asleep. This is a good thing, I promise! The Passage is the perfect mix of compelling plot, fascinating characters, beautiful writing, and absolutely terrifying bloodthirsty viral madness. And a funny English-nerd side note: I took Professor Cronin's kick-ass creative writing classes in college, and saved all of my wretched short stories with his comments on them, cause I knew he'd be famous some day. :)

My biggest takeaway from Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution was that Mr. Oliver could charm me into eating radishes any day of the week. I made his delicious fish stew last week and ate it for three days. It was quick and fresh, with a delicious kick.

Love the sweet ornaments, charms, and jewelry from Dutch ceramic artists Marion Wijnberg and Harriet Damave. Each piece is hand-formed and hand-painted in the traditional Delft technique using cobalt oxide with a strong transparent glaze, then fired in a high temperature kiln. Take me back to Amsterdam!
