Millsap & Singer Welcomes Two New Attorneys

ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 13, 2012 – Kenneth Coyne and Jennifer Michaels have joined Millsap & Singer, LLC, a provider of high-quality legal representation in the states of Missouri and Kansas, focusing on foreclosure, bankruptcy and mortgage-related litigation in both state and federal courts. Firm Partner Vernon D. Singer made the announcement.

A St. Louis, Missouri resident, Mr. Coyne joins the firm as an attorney concentrating his practice in the areas of bankruptcy and real estate litigation. He received his Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in 1990 from Saint Louis University School of Business and his Juris Doctor from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1995. He currently serves as a trustee and ambassador for the St. Louis-based St. Patrick’s Center. Prior to joining Millsap & Singer, Mr. Coyne served as attorney and firm principal of another St. Louis-based law firm.

Ms. Michaels joins Millsap & Singer as an associate attorney concentrating on judicial foreclosures in the state of Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2006 and her Juris Doctor from the Washburn University School of Law in 2009. A Lenexa, Kansas resident, Ms. Michaels currently serves as the mock trial chair of the Kansas Bar Association: Young Lawyers Section Executive Board. Previously, she served as an associate attorney at a Topeka, Kan.-based law practice.

Millsap & Singer’s 5th Annual Casual for a Cause Charitable Initiative Most Successful Year Yet

LOUIS, Mo., March 27, 2012 – Millsap & Singer, LLC, a provider of high-quality legal representation in the states of Missouri and Kansas, focusing on foreclosure, bankruptcy and mortgage-related litigation, announced today that its annual Casual For A Cause charitable initiative had its most successful year yet in 2011. Firm Partner Vernon D. Singer made the announcement.

On the first and third Friday of each month in 2011, Millsap & Singer employees were invited to dress casually for work in exchange for a charitable donation. At year’s end, the firm matched the generous contributions by the employees, and two previously chosen organizations received the offerings. In December 2011, Every Child’s Hope (ECH), a Missouri-based non-profit social service agency that assists troubled adolescents and their families, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the nation’s largest wish-giving organization for children with life-threatening illnesses, were each presented with a check for $5,000. The donations will support a broad range of services, including early childhood education, group homes, outpatient counseling and the granting of wishes that provide sick children with hope and joy.

“We are honored to continue to be able to give back to the community each year,” said Singer. “The efforts of our extremely generous staff are what enables us to lend a hand to such wonderful organizations.”

Millsap & Singer Raises More Than $1,400 for United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas

ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 28, 2011 – Millsap & Singer, LLC, a provider of high-quality legal representation in the states of Missouri and Kansas, focusing on foreclosure, bankruptcy and mortgage-related litigation, announced today that it raised more than $1,400 to benefit the United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing health and human services to communities within southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas. Firm Partner Vernon D. Singer made the announcement.

Millsap & Singer employees were offered the opportunity to dress in casual clothing in the office for the day as part of the firm’s “casual for a cause” program in exchange for contributing funds to the organization. In the end, employees raised over $700 for the cause and the company matched its employee’s contributions for a total monetary donation of more than $1,400.

“I am extremely humbled and proud of the enthusiasm and support our employees have shown throughout this initiative,” said Singer. “After the great tragedy in Joplin earlier this year, we wanted to help however possible and it was gratifying to see our employees share that feeling with this demonstration of their overwhelming generosity.”

Doornink have joined Millsap & Singer, LLC, a provider of high-quality legal representation in the states of Missouri and Kansas, focusing on foreclosure, bankruptcy and mortgage-related litigation in both state and federal courts. Firm Partner Vernon D. Singer made the announcement.

A St. Louis, Missouri resident, Mr. Holmes joins the firm as an attorney concentrating his practice in the area of bankruptcy. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 from Union College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2007.

Mr. Doornink also joins the firm as an associate attorney concentrating in judicial foreclosures in the state of Kansas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2007. Mr. Doornink currently resides in Overland Park, Kansas, and served as a staff attorney in foreclosure management prior to joining Millsap & Singer.

Millsap & Singer Promotes Kendra Ederer to Title/Notice Team Lead

LOUIS, Mo., September 11, 2009 — St. Louis, Mo.-based Millsap & Singer, LLC, a provider of high-quality legal representation in the states of Missouri and Kansas, specializing in foreclosure, bankruptcy and mortgage-related litigation in both state and federal courts, announced that Kendra Ederer has been promoted to Team Lead for title review and notice processing at the company’s St. Louis office. Firm Partner Vernon D. Singer made the announcement.

As Team Lead, Ederer will supervise title review and notice processing on Missouri non-judicial foreclosure matters, including quality control. She will also continue to assist title resolution and trustee appointment issues. Ms. Ederer began her career with Millsap & Singer in October 2006 as a notice and appointments extern before transitioning into a full-time paralegal in title review. In July of 2007, Ederer again repositioned within the company as a title resolution paralegal that would lead her to her current promotion.

Ms. Ederer received her Specialized Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Hickey College in 2007. She now resides in O’Fallon, Missouri.

LOUIS, Mo., September 11, 2009 — Associate Attorneys Lindsey Craft and Michael Wambolt have joined Millsap & Singer, LLC, a provider of high-quality legal representation in the states of Missouri and Kansas, specializing in foreclosure, bankruptcy and mortgage related litigation in both state and federal courts. Firm Partner Vernon D. Singer made the announcement.

Even prior to joining Millsap & Singer, Ms. Craft represented mortgage lenders in the foreclosure process, coordinating legal aspects of foreclosure activity, from money judgment to filing the title claims that obtained rightful indemnity for clients with another firm. At Millsap & Singer, she will work in Kansas judicial foreclosures. Ms. Craft obtained her Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from Iowa State University before earning her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, along with her Elder Law Certificate. She currently resides in Prairie Village, Kan.

Mr. Wambolt will serve as an associate attorney with Millsap & Singer, focusing on litigation and bankruptcy. Prior to joining the firm, he was the assistant attorney general in Missouri, where he worked in collections, consumer protection and child support enforcement. He attended the University of Nevada-Reno and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Following graduation, he then earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. Mr. Wambolt now lives in Parkville, Mo.

Diane Metzger Joins Millsap & Singer as Associate Attorney
