Income isn't going to get you very far in terms of happiness. You need so much to just be with a great person and to share your life.

OK you don't have to procreate, babies aren't the be all and end all. They're a lovely part of a relationship and most people wouldn't trade them for the world.

However, if you want a simple life; having babies isn't really going to contribute much to that. Although there's a lot to be said for the time and effort spent and how it contributes to your life.

However, in the relationship stakes unfortunately income is pretty important when combined with a family. You need to work hard, play hard and be there for a group of people.

We all know this of course, but hey, just get a great partner and things will work out. All your efforts will really pay off - far more than doing it on your own.
