Tuesday eManna: Eating Our Difficulties as Food

I have random posts every Tuesday, posting only what comes into mind. However, after the reflections on the happenings of our today's environment, I decided that I would post my reflections on the word of the Lord every Tuesday of the Week. To make this a double digest, I decided to make this a meme and would call it , "Tuesday eManna". To know what is Manna , know it here.

eManna for Today:

Num. 14:7 And they spoke to the whole assembly of the children of Israel, saying, The land through which we passed to spy out is an exceedingly good land.
(8) If Jehovah is pleased with us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us; a land which flows with milk and honey.
(9) Only do not rebel against Jehovah, nor should you fear the people of the land, for they are our bread. Their protection has been removed from them, and Jehovah is with us; do not fear them.

There is another noteworthy matter in connection with Caleb. He told the Israelites that they could go up immediately, they could overcome, and they did not have to be afraid of them
[their enemies]
, because “they will be our bread.” Bread is something to eat. Bread is something that brings increased strength, that makes one stronger after he eats it. The inhabitants of the land were admittedly “men of great size,” but in Caleb's eyes, they were food for God's people. He not only honored God's promises; he despised all the difficulties. Everyone who has genuine faith honors God and lightly esteems all difficulties. But this leaves no room for pride, for only those who humble themselves before God will be able to stand upon His victory.

Every time you meet a difficulty, every time you find yourself in an impossible situation, ask yourself this question: Am I going to starve here, or am I going to eat? If you are relying on the Lord for victory and allow His overcoming life to be manifested in you, you will find fresh nourishment and increased vitality, and you will be fed once again. Bear in mind that people who do not eat well cannot grow into maturity. Our bread is not only the word of God, our meat is not only to do His will, our bread is also the Anakim--the difficulties that are in our way. Many eat too little of the Anakim. The more we eat the Anakim, the stronger we will become. Caleb is a grand illustration of this. Because he accepted the Anakim as “bread,” he was still full of vitality at the age of eighty-five. His strength was the same at eighty-five as it was at forty. So many Anakim had been assimilated by him over the years that he had developed a constitution which showed no trace of age.

This is also true in the spiritual realm. ...there are those who have met and overcome difficulty after difficulty, temptation after temptation; they are full of vigor because they have fed well on Anakim. We have to eat our difficulties and our temptation. Every difficulty and every temptation Satan puts in our way is food for us. This is a God-appointed means of spiritual progress. The sight of any trouble strikes terror into the heart of those who do not have faith, but those who trust Him say, “Here comes my food!” Praise and thank the Lord, all our trials, without exception, are bread for us. Every trial brings in growth after we have eaten of it. As we accept one trial after another, we are more and more richly nourished.

Summer Outing at Triple-G Beach!

Happy Monday!!! I was tired from the long trip to and from our company outing last Saturday! We had plenty of sun and my daughter loved the waters a lot. She was literally swimming the whole day. She seemed to have all the energy and never got tired from waddling on the waters.
We went to Triple G Beach Resort in Laiya, San Juan Batangas.

It was fun at the beach with my colleagues and their families. The day became hotter with all the laughter and cheers all around.

Oh by the way, got this new template from Leelou. Suddenly had this mood for a new theme so I grabbed one free template and viola here it is. Hope you love it.

Couple's Corner: Honesty is the best Policy

Hello! It's nice to be back to Couples Corner. I have missed this meme since December. It's my first entry for 2010 then. This is kinda late, this was supposed to be yesterday but I was preoccupied so I thought to finish it today. I feel great to be here again. Our topic for this week is " Honesty is the best policy" .

Mommy Liz is brilliant to came up with such topic as I believed that Honesty is one of the best foundation in a successful marriage life. Lies is the spawn of the father of darkness Satan. When a relationship is surrounded by lies and dishonesty the union will be divided. We may think that it is okay to lie sometimes when we are afraid... afraid of what we don't know, afraid of what others will think, afraid of what will be found out about us. But every time we tell a lie, the thing that we fear grows stronger. It may take care of the present but it has no future.

I know I have a lot of shortcomings when it comes to honesty. I many times tried to avoid petty quarrels by diverting the truth into simple white lies. However, I conclude that whenever I am caught the small quarrel that I am avoiding turned our worse. When a man has so far corrupted and prostituted the chastity of his mind as to care for his present situation, he has prepared himself for the commission of every other crime. It's a crime then to lie.

So on our marriage, as much as possible on my best ability I try to tell the truth. When truth is divided, errors multiply. As human as we are, my husband commit the same mistake. He lied to me a few times. However, as we know that dishonestly breeds deceit , we try to avoid it as much as we could. I just wish I have the magic to read minds so I may know that He is totally honest with me. But I wish too that he would not have the same magic so I wouldn't be caught some times. LOL!

Remember honest heart, produces honest actions. An honest man is the noblest work of God. Dare to be honest , each time you are honest and conduct yourself with honesty, a success force will drive you toward greater success. Each time you lie, even with a little white lie, there are strong forces pushing you toward failure. So to make your marriage work let it be grounded with honesty.

Mommy Moments: A Song from a Mom's Heart

It's Friday!!! It's Mommy Moments time! I have missed a lot of topics during my hibernation. Lol.. But now that I am back , I will do my best to keep on coming back to MM every Friday. This weeks topic appeals to me a lot, " Song From a Moms Heart" ..

When I was pregnant with my third child, Alikah Arienh, I really had a favorite song. If we have "paglilihi" (intense craving or like of something) during pregnancy, that song might be my pinaglilihian. LOL. It's A Praise and worship song actually, "Shout to the Lord" by Darlene Zschech. I play it over and over again on my PC on the office, at the music player at home and even when I play the piano it was my favorite piece to play. I love the lyrics and the tune. Such a wonderful way to praise the Lord as there is no one Like Him.

It did not surprise me that when Alikah grew up, she also loves the song. She sang it together with me and oftentimes ask me to play the song over the piano. I play it, she sings it. That is then our favorite song, a special song for us. A Song of Praise to the Lord making our spirits sing with praises and glory to the King.

Glad to be back on the blogosphere. I miss a lot of memes while I was away. I haven't even finished my 52 weeks challenge so I came back to Carin's blog thinking to push through with it. But I saw this new fun meme, "Shoot Me" , It's pretty similar. I decided to join then and start my first shoot today.

Indolence

I like the word " Indolence" . It makes my laziness seem classy. Lol!

How are you all? Please bear with me as I just feel so indolent these days. The Big Fever L-A-Z-I-N-E-S-S hits me. I feel so lazy to blog. How soon could I get over with this fever that it seems that laziness travels so slowly that all the good opportunities look overtaking me. Hu hu.. This word may appear attractive, but hard work and determination gives satisfaction.

I once read that, " A lazy person, with which whatever talent he starts out, have condemned himself to second-rate thoughts and to second-rate friends". Gahh! I dont want to be such. You can't imagine what pleasure this complete laziness gives me, no complicated thoughts on my brain .. but i think this is an aggressive sin which in the long run would have a devastating effect. Too Bad to even imagine.

So, before I get drown by this great mother of inefficiency, I should get up, speak up, write up and get myself heard!!! I welcome myself back to this blogging world!!! Yay!! Give it up for me!!!

By His Grace and Mercy

It has been almost two months that I am silent here. If you have noticed my last blog's date before this post was dated "December 8, 2009", then nothing followed but utter silence. A lot of you maybe have continued to visit and hop hoping an update from me. My apologies. Thank you for your love and wishes. I have not even wished you all a Happy New Year, but deep in my heart I hope and pray that this new year would bring a lot of blessings and happiness for you all and your family. Now , let me tell you the reason of the long days without a word from me.

December 8, 2009. What happened that day was still fresh to me. I reported still to the office. In reference to my LMP, it was already on my 38th week of pregnancy. However, as my OB did not rely on that counting as my series of ultrasound reports all directed to December 20th- up as my birthing day, I still reported to the office. We were so busy doing our department's Christmas decorations as a contest was held for that field. We made Christmas tree and decors out of nature-related materials. While doing the activity, I noted some irregular contractions but have not put some major weight on it. I thought of it as due to the tiresome activity. We finished a little late. On the way home, I joked to my officemates that if I give birth tomorrow and we win the contest, I'll have all their shares in the prizes as their share on my hospital bills. I was tired and texted my husband to fetch me but he was not feeling well too. While I was on the footbridge in Bicutan I felt again another series of irregular contractions. Though the pain was bearable, it made me thought that I am having early labor signs. Oh my God, how could this be, I thought the ultrasound measures were more accurate than that of my LMP. It was a little early for me.

I reached home. I told our yaya that I felt I am having early labor signs already. I was not at ease. I was afraid due to past experience that all of my three children have only little time of labor. I called my OB- Doctor Francis Arnold Canaveral and told him about my observations. He told me to go to his clinic have an Internal Examination (IE) with the OB-gyne on duty. I woke my husband who had slept early that night. We called a cab and brought Ate Nida who is a "manghihilot" (therapist) with us to the clinic. I was examined. The doctor confirmed that I was on the onset of labor. My cervix was 2-3cm dilated. The doctor called my OB and told him of the result. My OB talked to me and said it could still be way longer time to wait but I was firm on my decision that I'd better go straight away to the hospital as again based on my other children I do not labor tedious hours.

We went directly to St. Claire Medical Center. My OB informed the emergency room already and told me that they are already waiting for me. Right to his words, when I arrived they attended to me right away. The resident doctor on duty examined me again. It was still the same 3cm open and according to their terms still "high", meaning the doctors still could not feel the head of the baby. After my husband paid the downpayment and got a room for us, I was brought to the labor room. It was 11pm, December 8, 2009. Hours passed, the nurses from time to time checked on me asking me a lot of questions whether I have already felt strong contractions so on and so forth. I myself was waiting for that moment. But, there was none. I kept on looking at the clock. The clock ticked from hour to hour but still no strong contractions. I was thinking maybe my baby is waiting for my OB. As Doc. Canaveral did not come yet as based on the report the baby is still far.

December 9, 2009. My OB-gyne arrived at 7am. He examined me right away. Contrary to my statement that I do not labor long hours he said to me, "shelo what happened? You are still 3cm open, no significant improvements." I immediately said to him, "Doc induced me now". Yes, that was his plan really. I had previous cesarian operation so he could give me full dosage right away. 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, hours passed and still no effect. My water bag was leaking. Doc talked to me and said I'll give deadline 5pm, if still no improvement, we have no choice but to do c-section operation. I immediately agreed to that. He talked to my husband and hubby and me talked. Zel was getting emotional and was worried about me. I said , the Lord will take care. I thanked to all those who prayed for me and wished me well during those hours. It was already 4pm nearing the deadline. My doctor examined me again, it was still 3cm and he felt that the water was already getting little. I decided not to wait for 5pm. I said "doc do it to me now". I was then rushed to the O.R and had been readied for the operation. I was so nervous. It was my first time to experienced it awake. I had a c-section with my eldest but I was asleep that time and did not even know when the anesthesia was injected at my spinal cord. But this time, I was wide awake. I felt afraid when I started to feel numb on my lower body. I was afraid that when they cut me I could feelt the pain. I breathed deeply the name of the Lord, "OH LORD JESUS". The whole time I was calling on the name of the Lord. That gave me peace. The Lord's love was the arbitrating peace in my heart. Then I heard her first cry! December 9, 2009 4:45pm my baby was finally born. She was kinda small weighing only 5.8 lbs at birth and measuring 48cm. It was only less than an hour operation. They brought the baby near to me but I was not able to see her clearly cause I was beginning to feel sleepy. But I thanked the Lord that I was alive. Someone read my future before and told me that on my fourth baby I am going to die while giving birth! But Praise the Lord! He is my real protector and shield. My God is victorious and is victorious over the evil spirits in the air.

On the next day, I wanted to see my baby but she was still on the nursery as that hospital is not practicing rooming-in of the newborn babies to avoid infections and risks to the newborns. I asked my husband to take photo of her while on the nursery so I could be sure that she was not the one I could hear crying from our room as we were near the nursery. Zel gave me all the alibis. I could not understand why on the world she could not take photo of her. I wanted to see her even on the photo cause I could not get up yet as my wound was still fresh. It was still too painful to get up more so if I walk. My hubby went home to get some things when my sister arrived to keep me company. A little while later, the pediatrician Dr. Aileen Sebastian Opinaldo came to see me. She has the same clinic with my OB-Gyne Dr. Canaveral. She asked me how I am and started to tell me about my baby. Words after words , I realized that she meant that my baby wasn't well. My tears started falling. So that was the reason why Zel can't take photos of her in the nursery. I have learned that few minutes after birth Lishan's (my baby's name) color turned dark. Her lips got dark as well as her face. Her breathing was not normal. Right that time she was in the incubator fighting for oxygen supply. I cried more when she said that their initial finding was "congenital heart disease". Oh Lord, how could I bear such condition of my baby. I wanted her to be well. My heart was grief-stricken. Dr. Opinaldo was very reassuring. She is also a woman of faith. Her words strenghtens me when she said, prayers do a lot. I know she will be praying with us.

Daily, she updated me on my baby's condition. Nearing the day of my discharge, she updated me of their (she and the pedia cardiologist) final findings. The official result of the chest x-ray came out. It turned out that my baby has TRANSIENT TACHYPNEA OF THE NEWBORN. It is a condition which extra fluid in the lungs remains or the fluid is cleared too slowly. So it is more difficult for the baby to inhale oxygen properly, and the baby breathes faster and harder to get enough oxygen into the lungs.

Signs and Symptoms of TTN

Symptoms of TTN include:

* rapid, labored breathing (tachypnea) of more than 60 breaths a minute
* grunting or moaning sounds when the baby exhales
* flaring nostrils or head bobbing
* retractions (when the skin pulls in between the ribs or under the ribcage during rapid or labored breathing)
* cyanosis (when the skin turns a bluish color) around the mouth and nose

Other than the above symptoms, infants with TTN will look fairly healthy.

Lishan had all that symptoms. However, I was relieved as TTN is far better than having a hole in the heart. The pedia reassured me too that after treatment with proper oxygen supply, three days more or less the baby's condition will get better. But of course, prayers are still needed. I thank the Lord that even in that situation I could still see His faitfulness. The Lord is really the reality of all the positive things in the universe.

During my baby's stay in the neo-natal care unit she was simply monitored to ensure that her breathing rates slow down and her oxygen levels remain normal. At first she received extra oxygen supply through under a plastic oxygen hood (sometimes called a "headbox").

However, as she was still struggling to breathe, even when oxygen is given, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) was used to keep air flowing through the lungs. With CPAP, a baby wears a special oxygen cannula (a type of tubing placed directly into the nose) and a machine continuously pushes a stream of pressurized air into the baby's nose to help keep the lungs open during breathing.

Lishan was left at the hospital for more than a week. Everyday, I received updates from her pediatrician and everyday I was amazed on how the Lord worked in ways to save my baby. Everyday was a day under His grace and mercy. The Lord continued to breath on her the breath of life making her little body regained her healthy condition.

December 18, 2009 my baby finally came home. I was so happy when Dr. Opinaldo texted me that Lishan could be discharged anytime. Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy that is ever new. If we only trust in Him nothing could go wrong. Our God is living and available to take in. His riches are unsearchable and if we take Him in we inherit all that He is and He has.

My greatful appreciation to the most wonderful OB-gyne Dr. Francis Arnold Canaveral who took care of my during my entire pregnancy till my big day and even after. My thanks to the pediatrician too who devoted her time in looking after the wellness of my baby, Dr. Aileen Sebastian Opinaldo. I thank the Lord for preparing wonderful people who had my baby on safe hands. Praise You Lord for your Grace and Mercy that is so rich and so true.!!!

eManna for Today:

Acts 22:15 For you will be a witness to Him unto all men of the things which you have seen and heard.
1 John 4:14 And we have beheld and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.

What is witnessing?

From [the above verses] we see that the basis of witnessing is what we have seen and heard. You cannot be a witness to what you have not seen with your own eyes or heard with your own ears. Paul saw something with his own eyes and heard something with his own ears. God charged him to be a witness of what he had seen with his own eyes and heard with his own ears. A person is a witness to what he has seen.

Thank God, you have believed in the Lord. You have met Him, believed in Him, received Him, and gained Him. You are saved. You have been delivered from sins, received forgiveness, and obtained peace. Now that you have believed in the Lord, what joy you possess. This joy is something which you did not have before. Formerly, how heavy was the load of sin upon you! But now, thank God, this load of sin is gone. You have seen and heard something. What should you do today? You should testify of your experience. This does not mean that you have to leave your job to be a preacher. It means that you should witness to your friends, relatives, and acquaintances of what you have seen and heard, and bring them to the Lord.

Couple's Corner: Kiss and Make UP!

This is obviously a late post for Couple's Corner as it is already Thursday today. Pardon me guys, my adrenaline is just at the lowest during these days. It's only weeks to go before the BIG DAY: My Baby's Day Out from my tummy!! You can imagine our body being so tired nearing the due date. But still, I would feel bad if I can't write anything here about KISS AND MAKE UP!

Something that is great between couples strongly bound in love is that for all that went wrong between us, we can always say " Let's kiss and make Up Honey". As I have said, every one of us has flaws that can lead to misunderstandings . However, we are not called to dwell into those kind of situations. We should always have time to forget past enmities, worries of yesterdays , tiffs and misunderstandings and revive the vibes that we couples shared. A brother once said, "never let the sun go down without resolving the feud between couple as that feud would become war and would result to utter destruction and division of the oneness."

I totally agree with that statement. Though I am the kind of person who never surrenders during the heat of the battle, I also always raise first the peace treaty when the stillness and quietness of the day has arrived. LOL. No matter how mad was I with my hubby because of a certain argument, I easily cool down. You know what's my secret? I just call on the name of the Lord Jesus. " OH LORD JESUS" I just keep on repeating it, till my anger cools down. Wow, the name of the Lord is truly a name above all name. It works magic on me.

Now, the kiss and make up would begin. He usually would be under the blanket pretending to sleep and I would tickle him and go under the blanket to open his eyes till we would end up laughing and laughing. My daughter would join us ending up into a big laugh wrestle making our bed so crumpled and untidy. You see, I could sleep better when it happens. If there were times, we wont say a word till we sleep it ended up being aloof in the morning. That is the reason why I always make it a point to resolve what has caused the enmity between us the soonest.

Making mistakes and having some misunderstandings is inevitable. But once you see your mistake and admit it to one another and forgive each other we would grow stronger and be reminded to take a better look at that side on the next time. Saying sorry plays an important role in a peaceful co-existence. Saying sorry does not lower your self-respect , rather it bridges the barrier between couple which resulted after a fight. While doing so, do not bring up old issues or do not refer to the mistakes of your partner. You are here to accept your mistakes and not to criticize. Give him/her an opportunity to vent his/her feelings, hurt as well as anger. Be patient and only after he/she is through, give your side in a lower tone so you would understand each other. Proper communication and not jumping to each others own opinion helps. Remember, once we get married we vowed to one mind, one speaking, and one heart. Therefore the old "I" must be done with and live your marriage life as one.

More so, place God as the anchor or the center of your relationship. Nothing could go wrong for those who continually seek the Lord's guidance. Love each other truly with the unconditional love of Christ, say "I Love you" a thousand times and most importantly say " Sorry" when you have to.

Couple's Corner: Misunderstandings on Marriage

It's Couple's Corner day as it's Wednesday! I was not able to join last week due to my emergency pregnancy condition that prompted me just to lie down and rest without opening my laptop for couple of days. Sorry Guys, but I hope I can cope up with you all today. You just don't know how I missed this meme.

Last week you were talking about first year of marriage. Well for us, though we have experienced a lot of hardships when it comes to family issues of my husband's side, the Lord still arranged everything for us in a sovereign way. When we went home to the province the first Christmas when we were already married, I was already pregnant with Alikah- my daughter. We directly went home to my family and stayed there. After few days of stay, Zel decided to bring me and faced his family for the first time after the burning issues of disliking and unwanting our marriage.

The moment was somewhat strange. I felt as if it was my first time to see them , yet I have known them for a long time already. The atmosphere was quiet and nobody seemed to utter a single word. Then Zel finally broke the silence. He cried and asked for forgiveness and told them that we were having a baby, his first child. Then his mother cried and hugged him and hugged me. No words were spoken, but that time I knew was the beginning of forgiveness and acceptance. I thanked the Lord and realized that when a marriage is according to His heart's desire no stony heart can't turn into a soft mud.

So moving on, we'll talk about MISUNDERSTANDINGS...

In marriage, we have to remember that God has set terms and duration of marital covenant: 1. one man, one woman, becoming one flesh and 2. for life.. It’s our starting point. It has to be. God said it. When and if we desire to obey God more than we desire to fulfill our own desires, this one definition would radically affect what our marriages look like.

However, human as we are we are still compelled to do the way as we are. We practically still thrive to follow our own opinion, judgment, philosophies and beliefs opposing most of the time our partners. These are the causes of the main problem in marriage: Misunderstanding.

Zel and Me have plenty of them. We normally fight over small matters as I don't usually subject myself to his perceptions and decisions. I tend to overpower him in matters of the home. For example, he wants to cut down the use of electricity and some unnecessary spending, I would always have my defense on that especially if my personal engagements and choices are jeopardize. There are some instances too that we clash when it comes to financial issues that would lead to heathen discussions that would move on to not speaking with each other and letting the sun set without having each one of us lowered our pride. When he would raise his voice on me, I would not allow myself not to fight back with chains of ill- mannered speaking and hitting words that would really piss him off. LOL. ("hindi talaga ako patatalo").. The result , he would become madder at me and would just walk out when he is still able to hold on his temper. Cause if not, he could really box me by the look of his face. (buti nalang umaalis..) He he..

I admit that I am still short of the deeper understanding of the covenant of love , the way the
the Lord has wanted us to see and understand. I have read a message before that said, our husbands or our wives are our daily cross. They are there to correct us, to transform us and be conformed to the image and likeness of Christ. Each one of us has a lot of flaws and if we do not know how to submit ourselves it would cause a battle inside the home as the battlefield. We should all go back to the vows and the covenant we made on the day we sealed our love in the eyes of the Lord and the Law. We should be here for each other through thick and thin.. that would mean, be one flesh, be one soul, be one spirit. “we should view our marriages like a house where once entered, the door is bricked up and any conflicts just have to be worked out”.

I said God’s terms and conditions must be our starting point. He is the ONLY one that allows for the exception (not US). Never let the sun go down without saying sorry and fixing things with your husband... Always subject your hearts , for the picture that God has reserved to reveal His glory–the picture of eternal covenant between a husband and wife.

Now, I am hooked up to the latest Pinoy Reality Show here on ABS-CBN- The Pinoy Big Brother Double Up Edition. Oh yeah, I watch it every night though it would mean resting up late. Even my daughter is a fan of it too.

Of Course we have our favorite housemates. There cannot be no one. We love the Original House A housemates. We love their team up and love their characters. Now that Big Brother is giving another twist : The Bagyong WALAY to them, we were so down. We shared the feelings of the House A girls being away from the House A "Cutie cute cute" Guys. More so we felt sad and in deep sorrow looking at Jason and Melissa being so down while separated by a wall in each other's separate house. Baby Dengue misses her daddy already. Hu hu hu...

Tuesday eManna: The Food that We Eat Becomes Us

I have random posts every Tuesday, posting only what comes into mind. However, after the reflections on the happenings of our today's environment, I decided that I would post my reflections on the word of the Lord every Tuesday of the Week. To make this a double digest, I decided to make this a meme and would call it , "Tuesday eManna". To know what is Manna , know it here.

eManna for today:

Matt 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it, and He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take , eat; this is My body.

John 6: 51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever; And the bread which I will give is My flesh, given for the life of the world.

Eating the bread of the Lord's table indicates that the Lord comes into us as our life supply and then actually becomes us. If we consider the matter of eating, we shall realize that the food we eat eventually becomes us. We may say not only that the food becomes us, but even that we become the food. Not only is there an organic union between us and the food we eat, digest, and assimilate; we are mingled with the food we assimilate into us.

How could anyone reasonably deny the fact that we are mingled with the food we eat, digest, and assimilate? In fact, assimilating food into our being goes beyond mingling. We do not have the words to describe this. However, we do know that we are mingled in a deep way with the food we eat. In a similar way, when we take in the Triune God as our food, we are truly mingled with Him. In order for the food we eat to become our life, it must be mingled with us. The principle is the same with taking in the Triune God as our food.

What we eat actually becomes part of us. Hence, this is not only a mingling; it is also a becoming. The food we digest and assimilate becomes part of our very being. For this reason, after we have thoroughly digested and assimilated our food, it is impossible for it to be located within us, because it has become a part of us. We use this matter of assimilating food to illustrate the deep significance of eating the bread of the Lord's table.

Mommy Moments: Yummy!

Sidenote: Thank you for those who have prayed for my condition. I have mentioned in my previous post that I was having again a pre-term labor and was advised for bed rest and have medications to calm my uterus as I am yet on my 31st week. Not yet due for the baby to be born. Please continue praying for me for my safe journey till my big day. !!!

It's Mommy Moments time and I decided to join not letting slip this wonderful topic which is all about the food that our kids love or something about their likes and dislikes when it comes to eating. Talking about Yummy, we moms definitely want to give the best nutrition to our children as what they eat becomes them. I mean in the totality of the wellness of our children, the food that they eat play a big part.

My three children are all picky eaters I can certainly tell so. They are not the type of kids who will crave for the feast on the table whenever we have some celebrations. They only go for those they love most. No matter how we wanted them to have a balance diet, most of the times our head aches as they never want to eat those we wanted them to eat.

My boys I have seen that they love fried chicken. Not chicken with tomato sauce, not adobo, not tinola, only fried goes with them. They love most the Jolli fried chicken. They also love hotdog and tocino and french fries. You see, it's not really recommended to let kids eat processed foods most of the time.

With my daughter, sometimes we get frustrated on what to give her. She doesn't have any favorite healthy food. When we go to the mall, she is not excited of the food she can see. She is only excited with the games on the arcade and the toys she can play. She does not love anything sweet: ice cream, cakes, pies, puddings, she doesn't want any of them. She just eats for the sake of tasting and maybe because I am terrible when I get angry. He he. If her yaya is not patient enough to let her eat 3x a day, she would not eat also as long as she drinks her milk. But of course I see to it that her yaya force her to eat no matter how long it takes to finish. However, I see that she likes candies. Oh Lollies that's all she loves, and hmmm chips!!! too bad!

But hey, there's one thing in common to them. I remember, all of them loves Lechon. They get excited with the crispy lechon skin. That's why most of our celebrations we always have lechon on the table.

Having Emergency Pregnancy Condition

Hello all! So sorry if I was silent for few days now and was not able to participate in my favorite memes around the blogosphere. I am having another emergency pregnancy condition. I am on my 31st week, not yet close to having a full-term baby but I have again experienced a premature labor and contractions.

I was advised to bed rest for 7 days and have medication to calm my uterus. The pre-term labor could have been caused by my daily travel from home to work and vice-versa and stressful working conditions as I am not yet having my maternity leave.

I am a bit okay now. Continue to pray with me for a safe journey till my big day! Thanks and please continue to visit here.
