This position involves maintaining patients medical records; ability to input patient admissions and transfers; prepares charts and enters data into the computer and commands a good understanding of medical terminology. The unit secretary is also responsible for answering the telephones and the processing of Physician orders; insures the scheduling of tests and follows through on obtaining the results. Must utilize professionalism and urgency when attending to all customers, and be able to multi-task error-free.


Experience:

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Clinical Manager and RN, qualified PCA candidates will work with a multidisciplinary team with a patient and family centered approach to care. PCAs duties include transporting patient, performing electrocardiograms (EKG)and obtaining blood specimens in addition to providing basic direct patient care.
