In this key position, the Director of Pharmacy is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all functions related to the proper operation of the Pharmacy Department to assure that consistency of high quality service and patient care are maintained for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.


Experience:
In addition to a PharmD or Masters degree, the qualified candidate will possess:

Florida Registered Pharmacist license; licensed Consultant Pharmacist required.

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy.

The person in this position will be responsible for developing relationships and increasing awareness of the services provided by Memorial Healthcare System to referring physicians and healthcare facilities beyond the primary service area to tertiary markets as strategically defined and identified by the Administrative Director. Acts as a liaison between hospital and its referral sources for the purpose of maintaining, promoting and/or building the bond between the physician and the hospital administration. The Director will be responsible for the execution of a physician newsletter on a quarterly basis.


Experience:
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree highly preferred. Certified Medical Staff Recruiter Certification or equivalent experience preferred. Must be able to travel and work flexible hours.

Knowledge of medical practice administrative and clinical operations, PQRS and meaningful use (MU) measures reporting, JCAHO policies and procedures, CG-CHAPS/Press Ganey patient satisfaction surveys analysis. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to multi-task and supervise medical and clerical staff. Knowledge of all aspects of medical office staff operations, billing, collections, managed care, financial reporting, and medical/legal compliance issues. Extensive management experience with multi location and large physician practices required.
