For a long time this record is on my hard-disc, I never took the time to listen to it, until this weekend. I´m not quite sure how to describe it, some parts sound like classical metal, some parts very chaotic. There are songs remembering early Deftones or stuff like that.

If you like Isis or bands like Witch or Neurosis you will also like Mastodon. They are more metal than post-metal, but still worth to listen to. Here´s my favourite.

German screamoband, nowadays they had to transform their name into andorra~atkins, because the actress Kim Novak forbid the band´s name. They also split up with A-Team records, a division of the idiotic Alveran Records.

One of the few records that totally blew me. Released 2008 on one of my favourite record companies, Hydra Head. Check also out their new record „Songs for Singles“ (will be released at the end of september) and if you´re lucky enough to live in the states, go to their shows.
