Cross-Brower Compatibility Help For Existing Sites (Web Developer) (Toronto)

I need someone who can take a look at a few static html sites and do whatever needs to get done to make them compatible across most browser/os combos, as well as on most common mobile devices. This needs to be done fairly quickly for one site, with another 2 coming up. Nice, easy work for the right person.

There is potential here for full web-development projects down the road as well. So I'm basically looking to form a relationship with someone who is very good at writing nice, clean code on a freelance basis.

If you are interested please send me
-links to 5 sites you have done in the last 12 months
-your fee structure
-your relative scheduling availability over the next few weeks.
-your location. I live downtown Toronto so would prefer to do the neighbourly thing and support my tax-base by paying someone else who lives here too… !
Wordpress programmer for exciting cultural magazine (112 West 27th Street, NY NY 10001)

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Wordpress programmer for an exciting cultural magazine?

At the Asian American Writers' Workshop, the 501c3 nonprofit I run, we're launching three exciting online magazines and have exciting essays, interviews and video by luminaries like Junot Diaz, Das Racist, Maxine Hong Kingston and others. These game-changing magazines will build the future of Asian American intellectual culture, document a national cultural movement around immigration, and help interpret what it means to be both an American and global citizen in the 21st century.

Unfortunately, our programmer just quit because of other commitments and we're hurrying to find a replacement. We already have Wordpress installed, a theme we want, and wireframes and designs from our designer. We just need someone to alter the theme and code the CSS. We can pay, but we're constrained by being a small community nonprofit--so it would really be more like an honorarium.

If you know anyone who could help, please have them contact me at Kchen at aaww.org. Thanks!

Develop and execute Special Projects to benefit the Visual Resources Library, Department of Art, and/or the Gardiner Art Gallery.

In other words:
We need someone with traditional art librarian skills and visual resource management skills to run our Visual Resources Library. We're a studio-heavy Art Department and so the VRL includes tools for large-scale printing, graphic design, video, and visual art software, and other technologies with which familiarity (or fast learning) would be required.
Vegan baker needs your genius web designing brains! (Sherbrooke, QC)

I am desperately searching for someone savvy enough to build me and my burgeoning vegan bakery a Web site with an easy content management system (like, say, Wordpress). It would include a photo gallery of my delicious treats and the following pages/sections:

*home page
*current menu
*about/faq
*contact page
*wholesale order form
*perhaps a blog

I like the following sites (by folks who do what I do):

http://auntieloostreats.ca/

I like the layout of the front page with pictures that lead to the menu options on content bar, but that may have to wait until I have a store location.

http://www.fusscupcakes.com/

Simple, nice, if a bit a posh.

http://ourladyofcupcakes.com/

I like this one for its rough-around-the-edges-ness, but would like mine to have a bit more polish!

Please give me a quote on what it would take to build such a site. I can provide all content (text, pics) but need the site structure built. You can see my current logo & branding here—www.catandcupcake.com--but it is a terrible temporary place holder. The quote should allow for a 60-minute Skype session to walk me through how to maintain and update site elements.

I do not need any eCommerce solutions at present, but something planned for future eCommerce would be ideal.
