This one is about building a new website and the expectations at perfection. Sometimes people don’t realize that the website design and setup is just the beginning. It’s the beginning of a fantastic journey into online marketing and the more you do with your website the more you’ll learn what to do. It’s a learn as you go experience.

So just get going with that website!

It’s hard work.

You know?

It almost seems easy to get caught up in all the stuff and end up wasting so much time.

One of the things I’ve been working hard to build up is passive income. There are many ways to do that but today I want to share with you one of my absolute favorite ways – automatic email responders or autoresponders.

An autoresponder is an email that goes out automatically in response to someone signing up to my list.

I currently have nine email lists and every one of them is set up with a series of follow-up autoresponder emails.

My goal with each autoresponder series is to provide excellent quality information that makes a difference in the lives of those who read and put them to use. I’m talking quality here, on auto-pilot.

My goal is to have a minimum of THREE YEARS of weekly emails set up in each of these lists (except my main list which gets a monthly autoresponder). That means I will have 156 automatic emails per list.

You can see this is work. And it takes work to get passive income. But the results of that work is going to pay off for many years to come – I really like that.

Think about it. There are millions and millions of active websites on the internet and they all have content. You are in direct competition with them for search engine rankings and so it’s really important that you post fresh content on a regular basis.

Original Content Versus Reprint Content

Yes of course completely original content is best on your websites but I’d be willing to be that you often run out of time or ideas when creating articles and posts for your websites.

That’s where reprint articles can be a lifesaver. You can find many high quality reprint articles that provide excellent value to your readers while releving a bit of the pressure from you to pump out content like crazy.

Where to Get Free Articles to Reprint

Oh yes you know what’s coming if you’ve been reading my blog for a little while now. I’m a fan of EzineArticles. It’s one of many article directions on the internet with hundreds of thousands of articles in it’s database.

One of the reason I’m fond of EzineArticles as a publisher is that they have very stringent rules about quality. You can be certain you won’t have to wade through low quality crap to find what you need for your website.

Tips For Using Reprint Articles

Before you go searching for some reprint articles I do have some tips for you on how to find and use great topics for your website:

1. Look For Authors You Know – If you know of someone who’s of influence in your market then it’s a great idea to seek out an article by them. Not only will you know it’s a high quality article but you will also gain some credibility by association with their name.

2. Search by Topic – Of course most article directories have a search function that you can use to find articles to reprint. Once you find an article be sure to check the landing pages you are linking to. You want to make sure the offers, information and ethics are compatible with you.

2. Post an Introduction – It is completely unacceptable to edit any of the content of the articles you get from article directories but that doesn’t mean you can’t add an introduction with your own contents on the page just above where you post the article. It will add original content to your page and give you a greater chance of good rankings.

So I hope this has helped to show you how useful reprint articles can be and that you’ll consider adding them to your marketing mix.

Remember, people are constantly searching the internet for information – the more you can help them with that the better.

What Does Bluehost Offer?

- Unlimited hosting space. You never have to worry about how many pages and files you add to your site.
- Unlimited file transfers. Meaning people can download stuff from your site.
- Unlimited multiple domain hosting. No need for more than one hosting account.
- 2,500 email accounts. Yea that’s a lot!
- Domain registration. I now register my domains at Bluehost too. It’s easiest to keep everything organized that way.
- 1 Free Domain Registration Forever! You never have to renew your main domain so you save $10/year, forever.
- Control Panel. I’ll have to write another blog post about the benefits of a control panel with your hosting but one of the awesome features is how easy it is to install and set up your own wordpress website.
- Lots of Geeky Stuff. Like CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MySQL – most of that is beyond me so let’s just say if you know what it is then you probably like that too.

Bluehost offers great customer service. They have a live online chat feature and also a 24-7 telephone support line.

At a cost of just $6.95 per month when you sign up for a full year Bluehost is very reasonable priced too. You can pay via Paypal OR Credit Card, it’s up to you.

Who Needs This Hosting

Well anyone who needs a website, needs hosting. Granted every website has it’s own needs. So I would say since I’m a home based, solopreneur with less than 1000 pages of website content that Bluehost suits me just fine.

If you have any extra special needs then I would check with Bluehost first to find out if they are for you. By extra special needs I mean if you’re planning on doing a massive launch that sends tens or hundreds of thousands of people to the site at once. You always want to plan that ahead and if that’s your goal then Bluehost might not be the hosting for you, I’m not sure.

Here’s What My Bluehost Control Panel Looks Like

I mentioned the control panel at the beginning of this review and while I won’t get into all the details let me just give you a run down of some of the things that control panel makes easier for just about anyone to do:

- Set up email accounts.
- Track your website visitor statistics including how many visitors, where they come from and what keywords they typed into the search engines to find you.
- Set up multiple software programs on your website including Wordpress, Joomla, Chat Forums and more.
- Do simple redirects.
- Create password protected pages.
- Register new domains.

Now don’t feel overwhelmed with this! It’s very user friendly and there are even videos available on how to use your control panel features.

A Small Feature I Don’t Like

Of course no company is perfect and there really isn’t much to complain about but a little while ago I noticed something I didn’t really like.

You see when you can host multiple domains you tend to register a lot of domains as ‘new ideas’. Not all these new ideas fly so you let the domain die. I did this and then started noticing a lot of charges for renewed domains on my credit card. It was because when you register a domain it is automatically selected to automatically RENEW when the domain is up for renewal.

There’s an easy fix here though now that I’m aware of it. I simply went into my domain area in the control panel and de-selected the automatic renewal. Also now when I register any new domains I make sure to turn off the automatic renewal as I go through the sales process.

So I think this review shows you pretty clearly the advantages of a good host and control panel. Getting stuck in a bad hosting situation can be frustrating, time consuming and costly so I definitely recommend you do you research (or count on mine) before jumping in with a new host.

Bluehost has never let me down in three years or so and I highly recommend them.

So I wrote an ‘audio acrobat review‘ and then I started building links back to the specific page that the review was on using the linking text ‘audio acrobat review’.

I got the links from:
- article marketing (a few articles)
- guest blogging (a couple of blogs)
- blog comments (a few I think)
- youtube (just one link – video)
- scribd (just one link)
- slideshare (just one link)

I think I probably could do more but getting backlinks to specific pages takes a lot of focus and effort. Here are my current standings for those two keywords as of today:

According to Yahoo Site Explorer I have 19 inbound links:

So my 19 links don’t seem to be enough for a top three ranking so I’ll have to continue to work on this.

It might appear to be an aweful lot of effort to put into just one page. Well, it is. This internet marketing stuff really is work but right now I’m getting an average of 1.25 sign ups per month. On each of those sign ups I get recurring commissions. So if I keep up my efforts up I may be able to double, triple or more that sign up rate and have a truly passive income building from JUST ONE PAGE.

It’s a common issue because we all want hundreds or even thousands of visitors and we try to talk to them all at once. The problem is there’s no way you can relate to a thousand personalities all at once. They are so different, so varied and so unique that it’s just not possible.

Sure, you can hit on a few things they might relate to but sometimes it’s hard to even know where to start when you are trying to relate to a BIG group.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the people who relate to my blog and really getting down to the individual personality types who will relate to what I blog about.

Here’s what I’ve come up with in terms of who I’m talking to here at Marketers Mojo:

- If you run a business from home…..I’m talking to you.

- If you’re having a hard time balancing a business budget…..I’m talking to you.

- If you’re a mom who never again wants to hear: “No, you can’t take off work to go to that Christmas Concert” (field trip, etc)…..I’m talking to you.

- If you’re a stressed out, over-worked, tired and frustrated service-based business owner…..I’m talking to you.

- If you’re tired of living your life based on making other people happy (ie. you people please)…..I’m talking to you.

- If you’re wondering if you can actually run a profitable business, be a good person and never compromise in your ethics…..I’m talking to you.

I know keeping clear on this will help me relate to the people who read this blog and vice versa. I’m sure you don’t want to read a blog with broad generalizations all across the board, you want to know someone is blogging about YOUR situation, YOUR feelings and YOUR circumstances.

That’s what I aim to do here at Marketers Mojo so we can all continue to grow our businesses into awesome extensions of a life we love.
