Hi everyone! I see I've had a spike of traffic in the last few days, and I wanted to welcome everyone and let them know I am in fact alive and still working on Arcadian Gate.

I'm tentatively working on getting it started officially by March 21st. My backup, and that's the latest I should go with this, is May 1st. If I decide to do that, I promise I'll drop a few more stories in here along the way.

No, I'm Not Dead...

...just really, really busy between the day job and All Games Considered.

I am still around, though, and I do plan to get back to this as soon as possible. It looks like Arcadian Gate might well not make it by the end of the year, but it certainly should in early 2009. Hopefully superheroes are somewhat still in vogue by then, and if not, maybe the fantasy element will help.

In the meantime, if it would reassure people that I'm still around if I post the occasional audio update, even if it doesn't contain a story or something, I can do that. I'm a bit leery of doing so without a piece of fiction to go in it (and there's plenty floating in my head, I just need the time to write and record it) so I leave that up to you folks who may still be reading the blog itself.

Otherwise, anyone who wants to follow the day to day fun of my life can check out the MySpace and Twitter links over in the sidebar.

Thanks again for your patience, and I should have a story for you soon.

I'm a bit behind at the moment, between the next episode of All Games Considered and a special project I'm working on with a lot of the other gaming podcasters. I should hopefully have that plate cleared by this weekend, which should give me at least a couple of free weeks between now and GenCon. I'll get that Ordo Nox story I mentioned out before then, and will get cracking back on Arcadian Gate.

Apologies for taking so long with this, and Mark will be away on vacation for a bit.

Before the Ordo Nox setting became what it is, before it became what will be the podcast novel Arcadian Gate, it was a supers roleplaying game I ran and involving some of my podcasting partners in crime. In this discussion between myself, Chris Heim, and Clay Karwan (with a little input from fellow Rolemonkey Max Massey, who wasn't part of that campaign) we explore the events of that game, where it would have gone, and a little about how it started turning into a novel idea.
