Being the larger, stronger and more accomplished fighter, Manny Pacquiao is favored by boxing critics to win over Timothy Bradley.

The sports books reflect that as Pacquiao opens up as a 1-to-4 favorite. The betting odds are not that high compared to Juan Manuel Marquez being an 8-to-1 underdog in Pacquiao’s last fight.

Bradley’s status as an undefeated boxer and ability to gradually outwork his opponents were considered favorably for him.

Current Las Vegas betting odds for Pacquiao is at -400 for Pacquiao while +300 for Bradley. Based on this line, a $400 bet on Pacquiao would only win $100, while a $100 wager on Bradley would win $300.

For the third consecutive time, Manny Pacquiao headlines a big boxing event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada to defend his WBO Welterweight title for the fourth time.

After defending his title against nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez last November via a controversial Majority Decision win in his favor, Pacquiao returns inside the ring. Challenging him this time is undefeated boxer Timothy Bradley, the current WBO Light Welterweight Champion who moves up in weight trying to steal Pacquiao’s title and reign as one of the top two best pound for pound boxers in the world.

Rumors of Bradley facing Pacquiao already swirled before the Pacman’s fight with Marquez. After talks of a Mayweather super-fight fell again, a fourth fight with Marquez, second with Miguel Cotto, and first with Bradley and Lamont Peterson were in talks. Top Rank ultimately decided with Bradley after Cotto signed on to fight Mayweather last May.

Outside of boxing fanatics, Bradley is relatively unknown. Check out his highlights reel.  Coach Freddie Roach is also wary of his reputation as a “dirty” fighter.

Being the larger, stronger and more accomplished fighter, Pacquiao is favored to win this fight. Bradley is undefeated and that works for him as he is a slight 4-1 underdog.

The scene of many great boxing bouts, another boxing extravaganza will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, United States just a month after Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Miguel Cotto slugged it out last May 5.

So Timothy Bradley declares in the trailer for the newest installment of HBO’s Emmy Awards-winning series, 24/7, an in-depth series on Bradley’s June 9 fight with Manny Pacquiao.

It premieres on May 19, 2012 with a special 24/7: Road to Pacquiao/Bradley. The official 3-part series begins on May 26.
