This morning, i receive 1 box parcel by courier services. I saw "Bluetooth Headset" stated in the DHL Shipment Air Waybill description. I know my prizes from S60 already arrived! I really excited and open the packing. Then i read the manual book to know how long i have to charge the headset battery for the 1st time. I know, standard bluetooth headset setup all the same. I take out the headset and charge it.

After 3 hour full charge, i set up the bluetooth with my n95 and try the sound. It really Hi-Fi sound! Good quality sound! Lightweight, easy to use and easy to keep.

Btw, i won this BH-501 Bluetooth Headset when i win in 16th position in Nokia Messaging campaign last month. The top 20 Ambassador will win the BH-501 Bluetooth Headset. Few of them in top 20 have been disqualified as because some cheating in the report points. So, all must be aware. Please don't cheat and don't simply vote your own report. I don't know about you guy's. As i go to N-Gage blog, i saw this. Do you see what i see? I don't know who is symbn. As i know, only ikona posting the blogs. I also don't know if symbn is the owner of http://www.nokiagameoverboredom.com? This website giving free 50 unit N85 if you selected by them. I'm not sure are this is phishing website or not. When you go to that website, there are link about Nokia giving free activation code. The website address is http://www.n-gagewizard.com. If this website are true, why they ask us for N-Gage player password? I'm afraid this website will steal your credit card detail if you enter your password. So, i don't recommend for the time being. Still no prove and waiting feedbak from Nokia N-Gage admin to clarify this matter. Hope the site are true and valid. So, everybody can play game.

Configuring Psi

To download Psi, go to: http://psi-im.org. To configure Psi to run on Ovi Contacts chat feature, do the following:

1. Open Psi.
2. Click the Psi symbol, and select Account Setup.
3. In the Jabber Accounts window, click Add.
4. In the Name field, enter a name for your account, for example, Ovi Contacts Chat feature.
5. Check that Register new account is not selected.
6. Click Add.
7. In the Jabber ID field, enter your Nokia account user name. (see picture)
8. Click the Connection tab.
9. Select all checkboxes, except ‘Probe legacy SSL port’.
10. In the Host field, enter chat.ovi.com.
11. In the Port field, enter 5223.
12. In the Encrypt connection drop-down menu, select Legacy SSL. (see picture)
13. Click Save.

Configuring Adium:
To download Adium, go to: http://www.adiumx.com. To configure Adium to run on Ovi Contacts chat feature, do the following:

1. Open Adium.
2. From the Adium menu, select Preferences.
3. Select Account preferences pane (should be the left-most tab).
4. Click the plus (+) button at the bottom left corner for adding a new account (select Jabber from the drop-down list).
5. In the username field, fill in your Nokia account. (see picture)
6. Open the Options tab, and configure the following details:

Connect server: chat.ovi.com
Port: 5223
Force old-style SSL: select the box
Require SSL/TLS: select the box (see picture)

7. Click OK.

Configuring Pidgin:

To download Pidgin, go to:http://www.pidgin.im. To configure Pidgin to run on Ovi Contacts chat feature, do the following:

1. Start Pidgin.
2. Select Add/Edit from Accounts menu.
3. Click Add from the Accounts dialog.
4. Fill the Add account window with following details: (see picture)

Protocol: XMPP
Username: your Nokia account (without @ovi.com)
Domain: ovi.com
Password: you may enter your password if you want to sign in automatically, but it is recommended that you leave it empty for security reasons
Remember password: select the box if you want Pidgin to remember your password (you are not prompted to enter it each time you sign in, if you select this option)

5. Click Advanced tab, and configure the following details: (see picture)

Require SSL/TLS: select the box
Force old (port 5223) SSL: select the box
Connect port: 5223
Connect server: chat.ovi.com

6. Click Save.

Select the version:

NOTE! If you have used Nokia Chat you must remove all Nokia Chat files from your device before installing Ovi Contacts client.

Hands On With Dance Fabulous

Pocket Gamer’s Jon Jordan has got his hands on Dance Fabulous at the recent Mobile World Congress convention, and returns with a report. He describes the basic gameplay modes, as well as the exciting ability to import your own music to use as your preferred tunes.

The game, being developed by Digital Legends (creators of ONE) and published by Nokia, is expected out in Summer 2009 according to the report.

Here’s a an excerpt from his preview:

“The basic gameplay sees you controlling a cute manga-style 3D avatar who moves around a dancefloor as you hit the phone’s main four-way button…. There’s also a Guitar Hero-style Challenge mode, where you have to hit the button at the right time in the right direction as arrows fall down the screen.”

Campaigns

S60 Ambassador campaigns focus your conversations on a particular benefit of S60 or a particular device or service that is based on S60. The campaigns will be organized to make it easy for you to talk to people about S60 by highlighting cool new features or devices.

For each campaign, we'll give you a few pointers - and then you can take the conversations from there. Campaigns will typically run for 8-12 weeks. The most active and engaged ambassadors in each campaign will earn campaign-specific rewards.

The general S60 campaign is where S60 Ambassadors cut their teeth. Any topic related to S60 is fair game, though we are partial to the following:

I just use Ovi.com for past few weeks. Before this, I don't know what's about Ovi. It is usefull website for our Nokia phone. So, let me introduce you all about Ovi.

If anyone of you purchase new phone within August 2008 until now, in you Nokia box, you will get Ovi DVD Rom included. Before Ovi launched, all the Nokia box in-box have Nokia PC Suite DVD Rom.

Now, let get started!

One of the new features, that has everyone excited is Ovi.com’s new Sync feature. Previously known as My Nokia Backup. This allows you to sync your device with Ovi.com and hence ’store’ and access your contacts and calender entries online. If you ever lose your device, or format it etc etc, all your data will be backed up on Ovi so you can restore all your information directly from the site.

What this effectively means is that you can restore your backup anywhere ! No need of a computer nearby or wires or anything. All you need is your symbian device that supports Ovi sync, and a dataplan such as GPRS or WiFi etc.

Adding your device :

When you first log into Ovi.com , it will probably display a huge banner that says ” Add your device” right smack in the middle of the page . You’ll have to click that to get started.

This will take you to the “Add a device” wizard.

First you’ll have to select the model of the phone you intend to sync with Ovi. Choose it from the list that is presented to you and click “Next”.

In the next step, it’ll ask you to enter your phone number and information :

Enter it all in and click Next.

In step 3, it will display all your info. Click next as confirmation.

And you’re done ! An sms will be sent to your phone. It usually takes about 5 minutes but the service has been known to take an hour or two on some occasions. The last step will give you a PIN code to enter into your device. Note this down, because it is important for when you receive your configuration text message. In this case its 2121 but yours might be different.

Now once you receive the text message, scroll to it in your device inbox :

Once you select and open it, it will ask you to enter a PIN Code :

This is where you enter the PIN Code from the website that you noted down earlier. Once you enter it in, the Message will be displayed :

Just like it says, go to Options and select “Save“, to automatically save the Ovi.com settings in your device’s Sync application.

And thats basically all there is to it.

Syncing your device :

Now that you’ve said Ovi.com’s info in your device’s Sync application and added your device to Ovi.com , you can now Sync it with Ovi , so you can mess around with your contacts, calender, notes or you
r to-do list all online. This can also serve as a backup of your contacts and info, incase you want to restore all of it onto another phone.

To sync your device, on your phone scroll to your Sync application. In my N95 it was under Tools :

Open the Sync application, and you’ll be presented with a list of services that your sync application currently supports, and the last time you synced with them :

Select or highlight Ovi.com and select Options–> Synchronise :

Your device will then begin to try to Synchronise with the service. A popup will appear, asking you to select a dataplan. Wifi, GPRS , whatever works for you. The amount of time the process takes, depends on the speed of your dataplan. For me it took about a minute, using WiFi.

The application will tell you what its doing, the whole time, until it finishes the Sync process :

If you wish to check more information about the sync process, simply highlight Ovi.com and select Options –> View Log :

Thats about it from your phone.

Now, go to www.ovi.com to check your information that you Sync from your phone. Login to your account and see whether it's update or not. If you been there whole time since you start this operation, you might be not seing some update. Logout and re-login again or refresh your browser. Be patient as www.ovi.com server having heavy load of too many user. If your internet connection slow, you will get slower view.

You’ll see that the site’s calender / events in your profile has been updated with the info from your device, and your to-do-list, notes and contacts are all displayed there.

Your Contacts :

Here all your contacts are displayed. You can create and manage them or mess around with contact groups.
(Note : One weird bug I noticed is that because of Ovi’s syncing in the contacts application, noone can have a birthday prior to 1980. Which is a little …uhh…weird. I hope they fix that soon.)

The Calendar :

Here is where all the c
alender entries from your device are displayed. As I said earlier, for some strange reason, all my calender entries were not matched up with the correct date like in my device. I’ve set “Leave on travel to Jaipur” to tomorrow,the 30t but on the Ovi.com site it’s displayed under yesterday the 28th.

Its probably just a bug on the site, that I hope gets fixed soon.

The Notes and To-do list :

Here you can view and edit your notes or your to-do list. Pretty basic.

Managing your device :

If at any time you wish to manage or delete your device or phone number, just click on “Manage your device” on the extreme right side of the Ovi.com site :

Here you can also view the time/date of your last sync, restore your online Ovi.com backup onto your phone and other actions.

Review : Email a.k.a Nokia Messaging

Want to get email into your mobile phone? Already have? I think you must try this application Nokia Messaging.

This apps really nice application for email user. My review about this application as below.

The Good

1. This email super light apps. Using less power. If you use Y! Go or Gmail email, Nokia Messaging more simple, light and easy use than that two apps.

2. You can attach and receive attachment in your email same as your original email. But u need to do some setting if you want to receive certain file.

3. You can use up to 10 email into this application.

The Bad

1. When you install this apps, it's never give you a choice to install where you want to install. As we need to install any apps in our Memory card or Mass memory.

2. You cannot set where the email data you want to be kept. It's only kept in Phone Memory. No option to change the save data. If you kept so much email in this apps, your phone memory will be low.

3. This apps maybe have some cost. But i don't have any idea how much it is. Just wait and see. If you don't want to pay, just cancel your account by login into your Nokia Messaging account.

4. No HTML viewer. But as i read in their FAQ, they will update this matter.

How to get this application?
1. Go here to signup with your email that you want to use in this application.
2. Choose your phone
3. Key in your email address and email password that you want to use in this application.
4. Next page, it will ask your mobile phone. The number that linked to the application you need to download through your phone.
5. After downloaded and installed, key in your email password and DONE!

In the setting, you can add another email. Or you can go here to login into your account and create from there.

Age of Empires III Steping Towards N-Gage!

Nokia and Glu are teaming up to bring the immersive real-time strategy game Age of Empires III to the N-Gage platform.

Playing as the Knights of St. John, you must explore the New World as you build and conquer rival colonies in pursuit of the ultimate empire.

The original mobile game was critically acclaimed by the gaming press. Pocket Gamer said: "At last, mobile gamers get a decent Age of Empires conversion. Fine resource management and a game so lengthy you'll be engrossed for weeks."

The game offers a wealth of units, buildings, missions and customisable skirmish battles. With an intuitive user interface, Age of Empires Mobile packages the complexities of the strategy genre into bite-sized mobile chunks of fun.

The N-Gage version will take the game play and graphics to the next level by adding multiplayer battles, 3D elements and enhanced animations.

Review : Space Impact (Clan Battle Mode)

Space Impact Kappa Base Clan Battle mode already out! You can download it from Games Showroom. Some region still not update the new Clan Battle. Change your Location to International, and download Space Impact from International Game Showroom. Clan Battle almost same with Solo Battle. Every battle you have to fight alone. The different is, you have Clan team in one Flag to conquer the Region.

Before this, i though Clan Battle we can tag team with more than two person playing together in one battle. It would be nice if we can battle together with our friend to conquer the Region in same time, same region, same clan together. Like playing Multiplayer minimum 2 person and maximum 3 or 4 person would be nice!

Installation: No need to uninstall the recent Space Impact. Just update, replace and the data will still remain together with your Activation code.

Here some info about Space Impact Kappa Base Clan Battle mode

Playing Clan Battle through World Battle mode. Click the World Battle mode to logging into N-Gage Arena.

Logging into Arena choose Clan Battle to play the Clan Battle Mode.

Once your logging into Arena, choose your character that saved in your data.

If you new to the Clan Battle, you will be asked to join or create your Clan. As below, the info are one of the Clan.

If you create your own Clan, you can Send Invite any members online in the Arena.

If you planning to join friends Clan, you can ask them to invite you.

Once you already have Clan or Joined Clan, choose the Region you want to conquer. Control any Region with highers rank in the Leader boards. The Region are still same with Solo Battle Region. Everything still remain same. The different is, if you having highers rank, the Region will be under your Control. The color show at every Region are followed by the Clan Flags color that conquer the Region.

After you done with the battle, you will be ask to post your replay or not. It's up to you. It will be saved in Arena server. This is usefull information for every one. We can watch our battle or the other friend replay. Just click the Leader board, you can see every one ranked in the Arena that you can view their replay. As you can see, there are R icon beside the player name. It is mean, they keep their replay in Arena server that we can watch back. You can learn how they battle and controlled the Region :)

But, it would be nice if our replay will be keep in Arena server and we can watch through our computer browser.
