The above statement is a blatant lie because I saw hundreds of HINDRAF videos in Youtube and never I seen them making such statements.

2. I always feel that Malaysians should represent Malaysian interests and not look at it from our narrow ethnic or religious perspectives -- we have got a very unique mix. Anything can happen, it is so delicate.

Then may I ask Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, who is UMNO representing?
From the best of my knowledge, UMNO is only representing the Malays.
So, you Datuk Seri as a 'Malaysian should represent Malaysian interests and not look at it from your narrow ethnic or religious perspectives.' The pot is calling the kettle black. It looks like Home Minister, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar is a good liar and a good politician but he is a bad Muslim and a bad human being. He must be commended for his spinning skills (pandai pusing). Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar should stop bullshitting the Malaysians because we are more educated now compared to the past 51 years. We can expect such actions from him because he has admitted in the past that he is a product of Tun Dr. Mahathir. So definitely, he will follow his guru's / sifu's footsteps in the process of climbing the political ladder of UMNO. It's too obvious that UMNO is trying it's best to start another racial riot and is doing an excellent job in creating hatred against HINDRAF in the Malays and the Muslim community.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 — Umno supreme council member Datuk Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will drop out of the race for the party’s deputy presidency, while information chief Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib confirmed today his candidacy for Umno No. 2.

Muhammad, a former Selangor menteri besar, will join a crowded field which is said to include Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Datuk Mohd Ali Rustam and Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed, among others.

But sources said the 55-year-old Zahid will step aside in favour of party vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is expected to announce his candidacy tomorrow.

"It looks like the status quo want a Najib-Muhyiddin team. So Ahmad Zahid will make way," an Umno source told The Malaysian Insider, referring to Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak's expected bid to succeed Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as party president.

Abdullah announced yesterday he will not defend his post and will step down as premier next March, making him the shortest-serving Malaysian prime minister.

Ahmad Zahid was the first to announce a tilt for the post and he was quickly followed by Ali, the Malacca Chief Minister, and Pulai MP Nur Jazlan.

"The party warlords don't want a contest for the top two posts as they want to consolidate and project unity to regain support," another source said.

He expected Ali and Nur Jazlan to also scrap their bids in the coming days with some of them shifting their attention for any of the three vice-presidency slots.

Among those expected to contest the vice-presidency are Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, the current Umno Youth chief and a cousin of Najib.

Nominations will begin tomorrow when the Kimanis and Machang Umno divisions meet, starting the month-long period for divisional meetings.

Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has said he will contest the presidency but Umno officials do not expect him to get the 58 nominations to be a candidate.

I just saw the TV3 news at 1.30 pm on the 9th October 2008.

The Malaysian government said that HINDRAF is an unregistered organisation (pertubuhan yang tak berdaftar) and an underground movement! They say that HINDRAF is a national threat to the country! I can predict their next action!
I think that the Malaysian government plans to arrest all the leading HINDRAF members (big fishes) currently like R.S. Thanenthiran, Jayaathas and many others. Please be prepared for all the possibilities above because my predictions are normally accurate!

Other than that, Najib was also condemning HINDRAF heavily in TV just now. I feel that they are trying to instigate their Malay supporters to do something big! The next time HINDRAF hold another rally in the future, there might be some kind of racial riot because the UMNO have planted / sowed seeds of hatred / discontent in the heart of the Malays.

Is it true that only one out thousands of the HINDRAF supporters wished Pak Lah 'Selamat Hari Raya' in his open house and the rest shouted 'Mansuhkan ISA, lepaskan HINDRAF'? Is that true, please clarify this matter in your official website.

Since HINDRAF is labelled as an unregistered organisation, I would like to urge Mr. Waytha Moorthy to register this organisation in UK and US if it's OK with him. We should stop and prevent the HINDRAF organisation from being labelled as an underground movement. We should register HINDRAF immediately in UK and US so that it will become a registered International organisation.

Vascular disease

Chronic elevation of blood glucose level leads to damage of blood vessels (angiopathy). The endothelial cells lining the blood vessels take in more glucose than normal, since they don't depend on insulin. They then form more surface glycoproteins than normal, and cause the basement membrane to grow thicker and weaker. In diabetes, the resulting problems are grouped under "microvascular disease" (due to damage to small blood vessels) and "macrovascular disease" (due to damage to the arteries).

The damage to small blood vessels leads to a microangiopathy, which can cause one or more of the following:

* Diabetic retinopathy, growth of friable and poor-quality new blood vessels in the retina as well as macular edema (swelling of the macula), which can lead to severe vision loss or blindness. Retinal damage (from microangiopathy) makes it the most common cause of blindness among non-elderly adults in the US.

It is why diabetics are prone to leg and foot infections and why it takes longer for them to heal from leg and foot wounds. It is the most common cause of adult amputation, usually of toes and or feet, in the developed world.

Carotid artery stenosis does not occur more often in diabetes, and there appears to be a lower prevalence of abdominal aortic aneurysm. However, diabetes does cause higher morbidity, mortality and operative risks with these conditions.

Diabetic encephalopathy is the increased cognitive decline and risk of dementia observed in diabetes. Various mechanisms are proposed, including alterations to the vascular supply of the brain and the interaction of insulin with the brain itself.

Melamine is an organic compound that is often combined with formaldehyde to produce melamine resin, a synthetic polymer which is fire resistant and heat tolerant. Melamine resin is a very versatile material with a highly stable structure. Uses for melamine include whiteboards, floor tiles, kitchenware, fire retardant fabrics, and commercial filters. Melamine can be easily molded while warm, but will set into a fixed form. This property makes it ideally suited to certain industrial applications.

Melamine resin is manufactured by mixing urea with formaldehyde under heat and pressure. The substances begin to polymerize and are forced into a mold which will create the desired shape. Under pressure, melamine releases water, which could make the plastic unstable if it is not removed. The materials finish polymerizing and create a finished product, melamine resin.

Aside from common commercial uses, melamine became a topic of much discussion in early 2007, when veterinary scientists determined it to be the cause of hundreds of pet deaths, because of pet food contamination. Prior to these reports, melamine had been regarded as non-toxic or minimally toxic. However, because of the unexplained presence of melamine in wheat gluten added to mass-produced dog and cat foods, it is the most likely cause. Pet owners report symptoms that are commonly associated with renal failure, which could be explained by the ammonia that may result from the digestion of the melamine.

In 2007 a pet food recall was initiated by Menu Foods and other pet food manufacturers who had found their products had been contaminated and caused serious illnesses or deaths in some of the animals that had eaten them.^[38]^[39]^[40] In March 2007, the US Food and Drug Administration reported finding white granular melamine in the pet food, in samples of white granular wheat gluten imported from a single source in China, Xuzhou Anying Biologic Technology^[41] as well as in crystalline form in the kidneys and in urine of affected animals.^[42] Further vegetable protein imported from China was later implicated.

In April 2007, The New York Times reported that the addition of "melamine scrap" into fish and livestock feed to give the false appearance of a higher level of protein was an "open secret" in many parts of mainland China, reporting that this melamine scrap was being produced by at least one plant processing coal into melamine.^[43] Four days later, the New York Times reported that, despite the widely reported ban on melamine use in vegetable proteins in mainland China, at least some chemical manufacturers continued to report selling it for use in animal feed and in products for human consumption. Li Xiuping, a manager at Henan Xinxiang Huaxing Chemical in Henan Province, stated, "Our chemical products are mostly used for additives, not for animal feed. Melamine is mainly used in the chemical industry, but it can also be used in making cakes."^[44] Shandong Mingshui Great Chemical Group, the company reported by the New York Times as producing melamine from coal, produces and sells both urea and melamine but does not list melamine resin as a product.^[45]

Another recall incident in 2007 involved melamine which had been purposely added as a binder to fish and livestock feed manufactured in the United States. This was traced to suppliers in Ohio and Colorado.^[46]

In September 2008, several companies were implicated in a scandal involving milk and infant formula which had been adulterated with melamine, leading to kidney stones and other renal failure, especially among young children. By 22 September, nearly 53,000 people had become ill, with more than 12,800 hospitalizations and four infant deaths.^[47]^[48]

Melamine may have been added to fool government protein content tests after water was added to fraudulently dilute the milk. Because of melamine's high nitrogen content, it can cause the protein content of food to appear higher than the true value.^[49]^[50] Officials estimate that about 20 percent of the dairy companies tested in China sell products tainted with melamine.^[51]

Until the 2007 pet food recalls, melamine had not routinely been monitored in food, except in the context of plastic safety or insecticide residue. This could be due to the previously assumed low toxicity of melamine, and the relatively expensive methods of detection.

Because melamine resin is often used in food packaging and tableware, melamine at ppm level (1 part per million) in food and beverage has been reported due to migration from melamine-containing resins.^[52] Small amounts of melamine have also been reported in foodstuff as a metabolite product of cyromazine, an insecticide used on animals and crops.^[53]

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides a test method for analyzing cyromazine and melamine in animal tissues. ^[28]^[29] In 2007, the FDA began using a high performance liquid chromatography test to determine the melamine, ammeline, ammelide, and cyanuric acid contamination in food.^[54] Another procedure is based on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). ^[55]^[56]

I think some of the local universities had a temple in their compound - maybe due to the fact that the universities were built on ex-plantation or forest areas, which housed Indian families nearby.

UTM Skudai’s temple had been relocated. UM’s one is still there. UPM’s one is now under plans to be removed because UPM wants the land back. The 80-year old Maha Mariamman temple (see it on map here) was located on a half-acre plot of land within the university’s ground, according to the temple’s land and building committee chairman K.G. Kuppusamy.

“We are requesting the university officials to reconsider taking back the land. Perhaps they can sell us the plot of land or provide us with an alternative land plus compensation of RM1.5mil to help rebuild the temple,” Kuppusamy said.He said discussions between both parties have been on-going since November last year.

Yesterday, some 200 people gathered at the Sri Maha Mariaman temple near to voice their worries over the temple land problem.

What would be the ideal solution for this issue? The temple is as old as the precursor of UPM, which was the School of Agriculture, officially instituted on 21 May, 1931 by John Scott. UPM itself was established in 1971. Basicall, you have an historic site. Perhaps it can be declared as a heritage site? As for community, I guess UPM students will frequent the temple, along with residents who live nearby. Sometimes, the in-house temples are venues for cultural and religious programs held by students. Not sure if its still the same.

Is this a state or federal issue? Since universities are granted certain amount of autonomy, can they decide on their own? Can state government reclaim the land if such situation arises?

MALACCA, Oct 4 — Umno vice president Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam announced yesterday that he is ready to contest the Umno deputy presidency in the party elections next March.

"I am ready to contest if the deputy president post is vacant," he said when contacted by Bernama.

Mohd Ali, 59, who is also Malacca Chief Minister, had earlier offered to defend the vice-president’s post which he won for the first time in 2004.

He also received the second highest number of votes in the contest then.

So visiting the PM on a Hari Raya (Eid) is a grave sin committed by HINDRAF. An act of betrayal and insult to the Islamic religion – the masterminds should be arrested under the ISA or prosecuted under the existing Laws - so say the Malay extremist and fundamentalists organisations. Cabinet Ministers claim HINDRAF was extreme in barging into the PM’s open house and presenting a memorandum. Their seditious criticisms’ were carried out by the none other than the UMNO controlled daily Utusan and TV3.

So it was a grave sin. I challenge these fools to obtain evidence from over 30 odd TV crews and pressmen (both local and International media) and the numerous Police Special Branch units who covered , recorded and filmed the entire episode to make public their recordings so that the whole world could see the foolishness and low mentality of Malaysian politicians and their UMNO coolies who stir up racial sentiments for their own political survival.

There is no doubt that whenever there are serious problems within UMNO, the best solution (idiotic though) is to stir racial tension among races. UMNO creates problems and misleads the public with the strength and might of their media.

I watched the NTV7 news just now at 7.00 p.m. on the 2nd October 2008.
It looks like the Selangor DAP, Kampung Tunku state assemblyman, Lau Weng San
(the shining bald headed Chinese man) is trying to settle the 19-year old Sri Maha Kaliamman temple issue. Good move!
BUT There is a big problem!
The type of land that they are offering us is a big issue / problem because they are only giving us lease hold land (for 99 years only!)

By right, we should be requesting free hold lands for all our temples in Malaysia!
Please think for long term solutions and not just short term!

We must ask / request the state government to gazette free hold lands and provide funds for the purpose of building temples.

Remember this always! No compromise!
Never accept anything less! Don't let these politicians fool us!

If we accept the lease hold land (for 99 years only!),
what will happen if the government demolish all these temples after 100 years?
We cannot be fighting for our rights every 100 years for each temple!
That is a huge waste of time!
We must be given free hold land because temple buildings are meant to be built forever!

We are already facing this problem in Kuala Lumpur.

This RM 26,300 should be cost of operations, profit and tax because thetransportation costs have been factored in to the USD 19,000 .
RM 26,300/ RM625 petrol rebate per year translates to a Vios being usedfor 42 . 08 years . I do understand that the RM 625 is a rebate given bythe government, but it also means that one has to use the Vios for42 . 08 years just to make back the amount paid in taxes for the usage ofa foreign car . Would anyone use any kind of car for that long? Now withthese numbers in front of us, does the subsidy sound like a subsidy ordoes it sound like a penalty? This just seems to be a heavy incrementin our daily cost of living as we are not only charged with high cartaxes but also with a drastic increase in fuel price .

barrels of crude oil .

So where this extra USD 126/barrel income is channeled to by Malaysian Govt????????

This is only 46% of the barrel, mind you . Using RM 3 . 30 = USD 1, we getthat a barrel of crude oil produces USD 59 . 84 worth of petrol fuel (46%
of 1 barrel) . USD 59 . 84 of USD 130/barrel turns out to be 46% of abarrel as well .
这只是那一桶原油中的46%。假设以1美金兑3 . 3马币，一桶原油（197 . 48除以3 . 3）有价值59 . 84美金的燃油，而这个价格（对比每桶130美金）也相当于46%。

Another 54% = bitumen, kerosene, and natural gases and so many more . And this makes a balance of USD 70 . 16 that has not been accounted for .

So this is where I got curious . Where is the subsidy if we are paying46% of the price of a barrel of crude oil when the production ofpetrol/barrel of crude oil is still only 46%?
这便是我觉得好奇的地方：如果说我们正在付出了那原油46%的价钱，那所谓的津贴跑哪去了？

In actual fact, we still pay for this as they are charged in the formsof fuel surcharge by airlines and road taxes for the building of road(because they use the tar/bitumen) and many more excuse charging us butlet us just leave all that out of our calculations .
事实上，我们还在付与其他的费用，如航空公司的燃油费、路税（因为他们得用沥青来铺路），以及其他很多很多的理由（恕不在这里计算）。

As far as I know, only the politicians who live in Putrajaya and comefor their Parliament meetings in Kuala Lumpur (approximately 60+ km)are the ones to gain as they claim their fuel and toll charges from themoney of the RAKYAT's TAX .

Misleading concept of Subsidy:
关于津贴的误导性

The word 'subsidy' has been brandished by the BN government as if ithas so generously helped the rakyat and in doing so incurred losses . This simple example will help to explain the fallacy:
'津贴'这个字眼已被国阵政府大事应用到让人感觉它的慷慨协助人民以及如何蚀食国库。这可以用下列的例子做一个很好的画面：

Ahmad is a fisherman . He sells a fish to you at $10 which is below themarket value of $15 . Let's assume that he caught the fish from theabundance of the sea at little or no cost . Ahmad claims that since themarket value of the fish is $15 and he sold you the fish for $10, he had
subsidised you $5 and therefore made a loss of $5 .
阿末是一位渔夫，他以低于市价的马币10令吉卖一条鱼给你。让我们来假设他以非常低/甚至于零成本从海洋（大自然）供应的鱼库捕获这条鱼，然后他说：'市价卖15，我卖10，我还亏5块钱啊！'

The BN government claims that it is a subsidy because the oil is keptand treated as somebody else's property (you know who) . By right, theoil
belongs to all citizens of the country and the government is a trusteefor the citizens . So as in the above simple example, the BN government
cannot claim that it has subsidised the citizen!国阵政府说这是津贴，那是因为那些油都被藏起来，而且被视作是某人的产业（你知道是谁）。照理来说，这些油是属于国民的，而政府不过是人民的委托人。如此说来，政府根本不能说这是在津贴人民！

So what's the big deal?

**NOTE - YB Manikavasagam HAS YET TO RESIGN as Deputy Liaison Chairman Parti Keadilan Rakyat Negeri Selangor (He is still a PKR Member of Parliament for Kapar) **

I feel that this is just a gimmick!

I don't think it's real!

The Deputy Liaison Chairman is just a small post in the party!

He is not resigning as an MP!

If he is genuine, he should resign his MP post!

But I hope that by his action of resigning the post of Deputy Liaison Chairman Parti Keadilan Rakyat Negeri Selangor,
stern actions would taken against the MPAJ's YDP, Deputy YDP and all the MPAJ officers / enforcers involved in the demolishing of the 19-year old Sri Maha Kaliamman temple in Ampang, Selangor!

Let's wait and see what happens next!

Today at 30th September 2008, he made a U turn by not resigning his party post.
He said that he wants to see what action the Selangor Menteri Besar wants to take against those MPAJ culprits!

It is not a surprise for me because I have predicted that he might do something like this!
